We were visiting our daughter and this is one of her favorite places. Food is delicious and fresh. I like that they are environmentally conscious and local sourced for food. I found the wood stoves down in the basement where the bathrooms are. Pretty cool!Weve since been back for a second wonderful breakfast.

I visited Buffalo city summer 18 and i came to this cafe for breakfast. The parking was super difficult because it was Street parking. The services were excellent and the workers were super friendly. I had a black coffee and it was ok but the breakfast was amazing. You should try the grilled cheese sandwich. Highly recommended.

Its been sometime since my last visit, glad to see everything is still the same. The place is still hipster and alot of energy is throughout the restaurant. The menu seemed like it increased since last time, but that just could be me. You have a paper menu as well as a chalkboard menu behind the counter. This visit my wife had coffee and a pear muffin, and I had the chai latte and the Huevos Rancheros. The chai latte had a very strong spice to it and it was good, but it lack sweetness. My Huevos Rancheros was also good. It consists of beans, salsa, sour cream with 2 eggs made any way you wanted. I opted for scrambled and now we finish off this dish with chorizo sausage. All inside of a floured tortilla shell. There are other options other than for breakfast, plus SN7 offers a large list of vegan foods as well.

Very cool place in a ... decent part of Buffalo. Had the farmers breakfast with scrambled, great breakfast sausage (made across the street), great hash browns, tomato, beans and house made English muffins. Take it one step further - coffee (Americano) was flavorful and actually served at the right temperature - well done funky barista people! Go here. Lock your car. ;)

This cafe applied for a PPP loan Paycheck Protection Loan during March 2021 the pandemic, and listed me as one of their retained employees. I am in New York City and have not set foot in Buffalo NYC. This is fraudulent. All telephone numbers associated with Sweet Ness 7 cafe and Dalia Lama, Inc. cannot be reached. They have closed, but applied and received an SBA loan. They fraudulently listed me as their employee. I reported you to the Inspector Generals Office, I have already submitted a complaint. This is identity theft.

Quaint hipster-ish ambiance, good food (meat, vegetarian, and vegan options). Had a really good café latte. They use Guatemalan fair trade coffee beans and support ethical food, farming and trade practices, which is important to me. Had their huevos rancheros with vegan sausage swapped for the spicy sausage they usually serve it with. You can get the eggs any style. It all comes on a big whole wheat flour tortilla wrap. There are regular tables and a big table for anyone to sit with a chess/checkerboard, scrabble, the art papers et c. The staff is low key and not snobby, which is a must for me. All in all a good experience.

I ate here on the morning of 1 July 2019 after returning from a trip to Niagara Falls before going home to NYC. Found it in the HappyCow app and there were plenty of delicious vegan options to choose from. The food and the interior ambience was beautiful and inviting. Beautiful art, an Obama painting, and progressive literature to read. If I am ever in Buffalo area again I will eat here again.

If youre in a hurry, youre probably in the wrong place -a sign in the restaurantTypically has good food, sometimes takes awhile, but always a nice ambience. Food is typically locally sourced from what I remember, and its a very environmentally conscious trendy place. Theyre very nice and hospitable, though it can get a little pricey. (2 entrees, 2 regular drinks, and an Irish beverage was $38)Should have checked the hours before visiting once, but when we walked by and tried to stop in, the sign said open, the door was locked, and the street-access kitchen door was wide open with the stove on. Called in to see if anyone was there, and there was not. Who leaves a stove on and unattended?

As the sign on the door says, if you are in a hurry you are probably in the wrong place. To me, that is a good thing. The coffee is good without being self reverential. Full disclosure, in season Sweet Ness 7 buys tomatoes and whatever I have available from my greenhouse right across Grant Street.

This cafe has a comfortable, lounge feel to it. It is not a hurried environment like other coffee places where everyone is trying to rush you in and out of line. This a great place to drink coffee and chat with friends or get work done solo.

We attended a jazz brunch in The Tabernacle at Sweetness 7 on Sunday afternoon. Ive read about the art covering the walls and ceiling, but it has to be seen first hand to be fully appreciated. Since this was our first visit, we had to learn the routine - order drinks at the bar in one room, then order pub- type food in the room next door. The food will be delivered to your table when its ready. We highly recommend the experience, but it should be noted that only on-street parking is available, and could be hard to find.

Liked the funkiness of this cafe until some things became apparent. Cafe is dirty, can feel it on the tables, floors, the display cabinets. Out table had leg issues, it wobbled around if we put any weight on it. Music isnt needed in this cafe, its already loud. Had to ask staff to turn down music so I could hear what others were sharing at our table. Cashier seemed disinterested in her job,it was a chore for her to take my order. She was energy poor! I ordered the Farmers breakfast. Sunny side up eggs werent cooked quite enough, hash browns were oily. They give a tiny bowl of beans. This for $11, yikes! My wife remarked thatwe could get similar food at a diner for less money and a cleaner environment. We wont go back. Its a dining experience that makes me think about the organic pasture raised eggs and organic potatoes that are in my kitchen at home. I will say the cook had the most energy in the place! Youll know him because of his loud voice as he calls out to notify you that your food is ready!

With board games & decks of cards out on the tables, its clear that the atmosphere of wholesome fun is carefully curated by the owners. The overal atmosphere is great for an urban cafe. The food is mediocre at best though. Not sure if because of the new location and lack of organization. We dont mind a long wait for good food but what we got were plates of grease, dry avocado toast on the wrong bread (we got wheat, asked for white). The hash browns were as if they were soaked in oil. The coffee wasnt as good as we had anticipated. When asking for a knife, the chef appeared overwhelmed and said that none were clean at the moment and that he couldnt help us. At least the girl at the register was pleasant. I wouldnt recommend this place.

I recently purchased my first home on the West Side! My 5yr old son and I walked to Sweetness Cafe Sunday morning- I wish we hadnt. Milly at the register was flat, lacked flexibility and didnt smile once- portrayed a slightly pretentious energy. I have some recent dietary restrictions and she offered zero consideration. She was possibly having a poor day/was tired but she made our experience less than enjoyable. My little guy ordered the Avocado Toast & I ordered the Spanish Scrammble. I felt due to our initial experience the value for $23 was not there anymore. There are so many great local eats, the need for customer service should be an integral part of any brand. We were weekly regulars for many months while we lived in the Elmwood Village. We will definitely be back because of our positive history and hopefully!

Hands down my favorite coffee shop in Buffalo. Great atmosphere, great coffee, great food. They even serve beer now. This store helped revitalize the Grant & Lafayette area - it was the foothold that established all the new commerce on those blocks over the past 5-6 years. I recommend the Slams (Breakfast Sandwiches) - their buns are baked fresh at the shop, the one with pesto is a personal favorite. My one piece of advice is that if youre really hungry, get something out of the bakery case to munch on while you wait for your food if they look busy - good food takes time. They dont have the fastest kitchen, but the quality is almost always top notch.

One of the best places to sit for hours and eat and drink and write or read- this is a gem that has been here for years in a neighborhood that is coming back in a big way. The quality of the food is top notch, and the coffee selections are as well. Its the only place to get a Turkish coffee (dirt cowboy) in the city, and that is my go-to when I am there. They serve breakfast ll day long, so you dont have to worry if you can get your favorite breakfast sandwich close to closing time. The ceilings are hight, making it airy and inviting- and the place is eclectic and energetic. The vibe inside is welcoming and relaxing- you dont feel rushed to get out of your seat, and there is no one trying to bus your able to get you to go. When you do show up for breakfast or brunch, dont be surprised if you end up staying so long you order another meal- its that kind of place. Oh, and the large work table and accessible outlets to charge our devices is a major bonus as well.
