The Broadway market has gone through a renovation, fresh paint and facial front. Many cool places to shop, plus u can get wonderful Buffalo Bills wine glasses, mugs and shot glass.A nice lady in the back of the market has a great collection to chose from. They are great for home collection or as gifts. Money all spent.
Love the Broadway Market. A quite authentic experience with so many local vendors and delicious treats. I would highly recommend going as early as possible to beat the traffic and crowd especially if you are looking to get fresh meats. The flowers and bulbs are priced well and if youβre looking for a fresh donut, youβve come to the right place.
Lupas Meats is the best in service and quality!!
A wonderful place good parking and many stores of many ethnicities
Have loved this place since I was a kid and my grandma used to bring us here every year for Easter. A local gem with great selection of Buffalo favorites. Can get crowded on weekends and near holidays but not a bad wait time usually. Recommend to anyone visiting Buffalo as well as any locals who havent tried it.
A family tradition to go here every Easter season. From the Polish holiday sausage to the perogies, the food never disappoints. A great place to start your own tradition whether it is collecting polish eggs or just taking in the atmosphere. If only the market was set up to draw in people year round instead of just for the holidays
Everything you need under one roof, Best Ham, Sausage & Freshest Meats for your Holidays and everyday.
Went to the Broadway market at 8:30am. They open at 8am. Stopped at Lupas Meats. Men working at Lupas were wearing their masks incorrectly....they may as well not wear the mask at all....terrible!!!! The only other stand open was the horseradish stand...This place has gone downhill so much that it will never come back to what it was. Terrible, terrible place.
The place is just plain dirty and worn. Demolish the building.
An excellent place with a wide variety to choose from. The area can seem kind of crummy, but dont let that fool you. There are some EXCELLENT gems here. The food is very good in some of the stores, and the prices arent absurd either.
Live this place but itβs a little crowded sometimes. But prices are great.Outside the Market can be sketchy but the family loves coming here ...
First time here, during their off-season and I can kick myself in the ass for having not stopped down when I had opportunities with my grandmas. Super down to earth people, amazing breakfast / lunch / dinner and desert. Here is East-West Cafe with amazing, homemade mac n cheese, real fried chicken, strawberry banana pudding. Our families new monthly tradition.
Area outside of the building is sketchy but I love it here. Fun, food and music. The kids love it too.
It was an interesting place. There is some great food to be had, but it loses stars because some vendors had extortionate prices - such as $5 for a croissant at one place. They looked good, but even $3 for a croissant would be very expensive. Also, be aware that theres no elevator on the premises, so just be aware of that if youre bringing a stroller or wheelchair.
Great traditional butcher shops and produce vendors. Good choices with some rare finds like frog legs and whole fresh rabbit. Prices are reasonable and service is excellent. The bakerys on premises look good but havent had time to try their confectionery delights. The only negative is you need to pay attention to what your buying the excellent deals on steaks are on SELECT grade meats.
I dont know what I was expecting and we may have been here too early on a Saturday. 10:30AM it was empty, many of the stores and booths were closed. I think this place needs a little live music or happier people.
One of my favorite places in Buffalo. My family has been coming here for multiple generations. Hope it never goes away!
The History is astounding. You want to see someone you havent seen ages go to the market. Looking forward to some great upgrades and increases in bussiness is the buzz. You want to relive some youthful moments come to the Broadway Market. Ive lived in the Area for over fifty years. I wouldnt want to live without the Broadway Market. Many I know who have moved to other parts of the city come back, out of downers coming home for a visit Stop by for something they cant get in there new city.
Fresh foods & a supermarket love the butchers and bakeries and the restaurant inside is good for a quick bite at the counter. Crazy busy at Easter... but very quiet at Christmasπ
Been coming here every year for over 20 years. Wouldnt miss it. Love it
Great place to shop before Easter! Lots of vendors and everything Ive had has been delicious. Have to try the apple cider donuts!
Meh. This place has a lot of hype, especially around Easter time. In reality, youβll find a bunch of vendors who are price gouging for mediocre products. Some of the food is actually good, but still not worth the jacked-up prices. Also, the neighborhood is absolutely horrible, full of crack heads. Make sure you get out before dark. And for the kicker, the parking garage is absolutely horrible - run-down, low ceilings, narrow lanes and spaces. Looks like it was built before the 50s, which it probably was.So all in all, if youβve never been, you should go at least once for the experience. After that, you can decide if you want to go back or not. As for me, I will not be returning.
Broadway market is wonderful but dont plan on using your phone is its a fking lead box in there.
Old European market atmosphere...where you can get fresh produce and meat.artistic home made products, cakes and other ethnic food!
Horrible place has good shopping but they need to improve security kinda dangerous rundown not much going on rough crowd goes there. The holidays are nice though.
Tear the dump down
Went on Friday at 4. Nothing was open but a few food vendors. Hours on Google say 8-5. Are they wrong? Or is this just another Buffalo illusion? Cleveland West Side Market is blowing up at 4pm on Friday. Can barely walk there.I will try again someday and see if it is different. Maybe the review will change.
The Broadway Market is a truly unique experience in Buffalo, a large indoor vendor market. We went early yesterday morning as part of a yearly pilgrimage we make around Easter time. There are dozens of vendors selling all sorts of local made goods ranging from chocolates, to baked goods, to clothing, dips, spices, fresh vegetables and meats, and much more. They also usually have live entertainment like bands, guitarists, and traditional polish dancing. Im not sure if thats year round or just for Easter, since its typically the only time we go.On our yearly trip we usually go for the delicious local chocolates (peanut butter eggs mostly) and baked goods (I walked away with a pair of delicious cannoli) but occasionally splurge on other things. Last year I bought a shirt, this year we got a butter lamb. We also usually get a couple of pierogis since there are a dozen stands that serve them cooked all around the market. To me this is a wonderful yearly tradition my wife and I truly enjoy, and I cant think of a better way to get out and support local businesses!
Dozens of vendors from meat markets to wineries to sweet treats to knick-knacks to puppy treats. Oh and dont miss the Easter festival that begins 2 weeks prior to Easter!
Excellent Saturday afternoon! Polka music, food and πΊπ!
It was Dyngus Day Festival Monday after Easter. BROADWAY MARKET is excellent to go get all polish foods.
Great market for fresh produce and meats. Well known for their Easter festivities.
Great prices for meat! Unless you are there for meat, dont bother going on Mondays. Most vendors were not open.
I have errands that take me near the Broadway Market so Ive made a routine of stopping here with my kids on Saturdays. Groceries, gifts, etc. Produce and meats have been good, well-priced. And theres a SaveALot attached to fill in any gaps you cant find in the Market. Theres many options for food, including ethnic varieties, that Ill try some day.Theres been emphasis lately on new developments - startup incubator, police substation - and funding proposals from the City and State. Thatll go a long way to overdue maintenance and upgrades, and will help attract consumers that are turned off simply because its faded and old. That doesnt bother me.For me personally, the greatest improvement I would recommend and that would have the greatest cost-benefit impact would hardly cost anything: simply clean up in and around the property. Pick up the trash, regularly. Like every day.
This place was empty of stores. There were a lot of people and with so much empty space it was very loud. None of the vendors greeted us. The building itself is in disarray and needs a new coat of paint. Inside was dirty. Will not be going back!
Their soul food is good. The only place in buffalo I will go to get it.
FunExcellent VibeFood For AllEven if You Vegans shop then make yourSelvez
Wonderful meat markets and diverse and multi-cultural foods for every palate
Ive been going to the Broadway Market with my grandma ever since I was a little kid. Its a WNY institution and I always look forward to going as much for the experience as for the awesome local food.
Couple of great restaurants fresh produce and a couple of dessert stands everything is very good
Great selection of holiday foods, flowers and related items.
Heartbreaking. As farmers markets make a rebirth across the country, Buffalos own seems stuck in the past, Easter week must be the only week that anyone even thinks of going there and then out nostalgia. dark, dreary, perfect for dieting.
It was great so many treats for a great price and cause.
I live. By market 4 30 yrs it has really. Gone. Down the meat s. Sink. They should. Close. It and. Put. Home. Depot there. Ot fix. The building. Up do people. Would. Want 2 shop there..The. Stores in cheektowaga. Dont look like. That
The Broadway Market all ways have good deals and the service is always great
So many great things to see and buy at this market! The rooftop gardens are super awesome!!
Took brother he seems to really like the prices
Im there everyday.its my second home.everyone who works there are good people.
Family tradition! I buy a lot of specialty meats from here. If they dont have it they can get it or find someone for you that can. Best time to go is the month/week before easter. It will be busy ( the most around lunch) but thats when there is most vendors. If you go late in the day around this time of year you will find things are sold out. Its a great stop for buffalo favorites such as stuffed hot peppers, slab bacon, pigs in a blanket, perogis, beef on weck, cheese stuffed fried pickles as well as polish, german, and Italian sausage. You can both buy food hot and ready to go or raw over the deli counter. Parking provided in the back parking garage.
I love this place good place to get your meats π
AWESOME! I WILL GO THERE EVERY YEAR FOR THE REST OF MY LIFE!
If you havent been to the Broadway Market during Easter season, youre missing out on one of Buffalos best traditions.
I like getting my meat and produce frm here. I believe buying ur food here u get much more for ur dollar. No mttr wht time of year it is u can find just about anything u need and wnt frm here.
Family tradition to shop here for Easter dinner makings :)
Went there looking for a fax machine found out the place was out of business. The place I forget the name sold postage stamps, money orders, lottery. Thought the place was doing good ?
The market is fun to shop during a holiday but the city of Buffalo needs to clean up the streets around the market and they need street police to help with traffic control.
My great place is a fish market
Fast prompt service and very fresh produce.
Great perogis and polish food
Great local flavor
Nothings there, need more vendors. Used to be the place to be for fresh food.
This place is better for easter
Fish, meet, vegetables and fruits, Good place for quick shipping,
All the different stores and save a lot is open on Sunday
I havent been their yet Ill let you know later
Grew up there. Used to be the place to shop including Sattlers. City needs to invest more in that area. Now only go a couple of times per year around Easter and Christmas.
Always fresh meats!
Lots of great food
I am loving it
A market that represents the various ethnic cultures of the local community.
Nice market to shop
Never any stands open anymore their always closed after the first two weeks of the month.like a ghost town.
The soul food is delicious
Great place for shopping, especially the week before Easter though it can get crowded
Even though i moved away in 1985,,,, i fondly remember trips to this place with Mother and Grandmother as a Child,,,, the Smells and Sites and Eats are Something You Never Forget and Being in L.A. you simply miss Greatly especially the Variety of Meats and Regional Only Foods
