Just had the pleasure of eating lunch at the new cafe- the food was delicious and the atmosphere is wonderful. Its clear a lot of thought went into the design and feel of the space, the cafe is beautiful and welcoming. The perfect place to have a solo lunch, or meet up with a friend. The butcher counter is well stocked with a wide variety of locally sourced meat, and its a treat to see less common things like fresh rabbit and beef tongue available! The fresh sausage I brought home is perfect, I cant wait to return.

Moriarty is amazing! Best local butcher hands down with top cuts of meat. They are unique because they source local, high quality animals and sell the entire animal in their shop. They are able to offer a lot of different cuts of meat not always found in grocery stores and are able to educate their customers on meat cuts, quality and cooking instructions. They butcher with French techniques and have an open viewing area so you can even see them in action while you shop.We discovered Moriarty a few years ago when they were located on Grant Street. They have now moved to Elmwood and the new space is fabulous. They have fresh, frozen and packaged meat options. At the new location they also have some to go sandwich options. We recently tried their fresh ground burgers, bacon, gochuchang pork burgers, breakfast sausage and sliced pastrami. Everything was fresh, delicious and top quality. The gochuchang burgers were perfectly spiced but not too hot, a great introduction to the condiment if you aren’t familiar with it yet. The pork was fresh and juicy. The bacon was by far the best bacon we have ever had, nice thick cut. The fresh ground burger patties were very good, and there were 4 thin patties in the package. Great if you want to cook on a flat top and crisp up the outside a little. The pastrami was smoky and had the perfect meat to fat ratio. The prices are a little high, without a doubt more than a grocery store. But you get what you pay for and the quality of the product is well worth the extra cost.The owners are very friendly and take their time to help you. All employees are wearing masks and following covid protocols.

Best butcher shop in Buffalo hands down. Tom is a true master of his craft. His meats and the ways he prepares them are something truly special. Plus as an added bonus you can enjoy talking to him and his wonderful family that live above the shop. Great people making great food and selling amazing products what more could you want?

If you blink you might miss it on the drive by but this butcher shop is awesome. They are very accommodating and have a wide variety of cuts available for all types of meats. Everyone that I spoke to was extremely friendly and definitely someone I would want to talk to again and order from again.

Incredible meats and service my wife and I come every Saturday to load up for the week on meats, sausages and bacon. Tom and Caitlin are incredibly nice and a treat to see every Saturday. Make sure to get here early they sell out fast generally before noon

Such a huge selection of every meat from lamb, to rabbit, to duck to beef, sausage, bacon, seafood. all local and incredible. working in fine dining i have worked with some of the best quality meats anywhere. and the duck breast ($16 for 2 enourmous pieces) is better than the duck we got from farms in france that cost $40 for one piece. cant wait to cook up the rabbit as well, i was told it was slaughtered the day before. thank you guys for bringing quality products that are rare in any city in this country.

Super butcher & super bone in sirloin?

We ordered smoked, bone-in ham and bacon from Moriarty Meats, and brought them to a family holiday gathering. The moment the ham came out of the oven to rest, everyone circled. We suddenly had a family of vultures that couldnt help but grab a slice. Juicy, excellent flavor, the perfect balance of smoky and savory. Easily the best ham each of us had ever had. I cant recommend this place enough!

We have ordered meat from so many different farms over the years--both in Buffalo and in Chicago where we used to live--and we have to say that what we get from Moriarty Meats is the best! It has to be related to the way that Tom butchers the meat because when we have bought anything from the same farm but a different store/butcher, its completely different. We have ordered a lamb, pig, and cow in bulk from Moriarty Meats and can say hands down it is the best meat weve ever had. Toms homemade sausage is also amazing. And Caitlin and Tom are so helpful in guiding us through what cuts we want. We will never go anywhere else!
