My mom told me Kurt and Pat were the 1st mechanic she went to when we first moved to MN in 95 and she swore by JPT Services since. So after being taken care of, for decades now, by Kurt then Pat and Now Zack; I swear by JPT Services also! I wanna ask them a thousand questions sometimes and i try to minimize how much of their time im taking when i do have diy questions and theyve always gave me their undivided attention. The most important thing ive learned from them is to give my customers the same undivided attention and willingness to assist their diy questions about PC hardware, software, networking etc. If these guys ever needed a volunteer i will answer the call.

Thank you so much for the repair work you did on my husbands vehicle. The first shop we got a tow to was trying to take advantage of our situation and charge us $2,000 for a break line replacement.Luckily, we could afford to get another tow here and get a 2nd opinion. Their quote cut the price by more then half, and validated our thoughts on $2k being wayy too high. Thanks for being a shop that still has some integrity, because its hard to find and trust a place to not price gouge you. Keep doing what youre doing.

Honest kind but terrible communicators.After 15 calls i finally got an answer and they were very kind and helpful. Things just take longer. But bottom line is set the right expectation and when things dont go as planned communicate. This is my car and really all i have. Treat it with that in mind and not take it for granted.I was supposed to get a call before 5 but I ended up calling. Car is not done. i do appreciate the care they are taking in doing the job right and staying within the quote they gave me. When i talk to them they are convincing and feel they are honest. Tomorrow morning the car should be done. but this was very difficult.Car is done and i cant be happier with the car they took

My family and I have been taking our cars to JPT for years! We absolutely love these guys! As someone who doesn’t know much about cars, it can be pretty intimidating to take your car somewhere and trust that the business isn’t going to try to swindle you in some way. The guys at JPT are honest, and won’t try to sell you something you don’t need. They can get pretty busy at times, but I think that just speaks to how great they are.

I really thought the days of honest small business mechanics were done and the dealerships had taken over, But JPT is a hidden gem. These guys won’t BS you or try to get extra money out of you. They do an honest and quality job for a better than fair price. I’ve taken my car there multiple times now and have been very pleased. 10/10 would recommend.

Weve used them for over 15 years on six different vehicles. They are honest, fair, do exceptional work. They will advise when work is not warranted and there is a cheaper way to deal with it, like a leaky power steering pump that would be hundreds of dollars to fix or only a couple dollars to keep adding power steering fluid. They will recommend just adding power steering fluid and not stick you with the high bill even if you initially asked for it. Of course if you insist, they will do the work at a better price than anyone else. Pat, Kurt, and Zach are men of impeccable character that I trust categorically.

These guys are the best. Zack will explain what is wrong and give you multiple options to repair. Pricing is very reasonable but they are busy so make sure you make an appointment.

If I could give these guys 10 stars I would. Curt and Pat are the most honest, talented, and helpful service guys you will ever meet. Ive been using them for 20+ years and they are affordable and also have saved me thousands on repairs some other place said I needed that I did not need. Dozens and dozens of times my wife, myself, or a friend has taken their car in only to hear, You do not need a radiator, its just a leaky hose. Or, You do not need hydraulic shocks, your vehicle does not have them and the shocks you have are fine. Or, you breaks still have 15,000 miles left on them, you do not need new ones. Or, the manual says change the timing belt at 90K, but in your model we have never had problem going to 105k. These guys are also very good at diagnosis. I trust them implicitly because theyve earned it.

It has been my experience that these guys are trustworthy and capable, they have saved me a lot of money over the years in repairs. With my last repair, I received an appraisal that would cost me $880.00 for the work. These guys looked at it and were able to do the work for $225.00. They were honest about what needed to be replaced and what didnt, and they helped me find the best solution for the cheapest (most reasonable) price.A+ all around, my only neutral/negative comment related to them is that they are sometimes hard to get a hold of over the phone. But they have always been friendly and work very hard, the minor inconvenience of reaching them at times is completely worth it.

Love this place. I try to do a lot of my own work but there are certain times when a professional is needed. These guys have always been straight with me, and they never try to upsell more than I need. Their prices are more than fair. I never take my cars anywhere else.They also are never condescending to my wife, something that (sadly) I’ve noticed happens at some other places. Sometimes the times are long to get your car in, but the wait is worth it. Highly recommend!

Just got my vehicle back from them yesterday. I figured I should finally give them a review.I have been taking my vehicles here for the past 10 years since my wife first recommended them to me. Her family has been taking their vehicles there for 15+ years.These guys keep doing exceptional work and are always straightforward. They only ever do work that needs to be done and never try to sell me on anything I dont need. I had my car in for a busted radiator and asked them to check the brakes on it while it was in. When I got the call from them they let me know that the brakes were fine and still had about 50% left on them. They could have told me that they were shot and would need to be replaced and I would not have known any better.They always take a look at the car and call you to let you know what needs to be done and give you a quote for the work. Oftentimes the final bill comes out below the quote which is always nice.Their lot is almost always full and can be hard to find a spot sometimes to park. Also calling them can yield some odd results. Sometimes you will get an endless busy signal. Other times a fax machine noise and sometimes it will ring forever. Just keep trying!Long story short we love this shop and highly recommend if you need work done on your vehicle!

Highly recommended mechanic shop!!! We visited JPT due to problems caused by a dealership. The dealership said they would give us a 20% discount to fix their mistake and the estimate was about $1700. JPT completed the work for $760. For another service, a different dealership quoted $160, JPT quoted $120, and JPT ended up charging us $102. Very honest people. I would recommend JPT to anyone. In addition, JPT is always one of the top recommendations of people on the Brooklyn Park Bulletin Board on Facebook.

My husband and I always take our cars here. The mechanics at JPT are always honest, reasonable, and dont ever price gouge or recommend unnecessary work. Their rates cant be beat. They treat your car as if it were their own. Highly recommend.

HIGHLY RECOMMEND!!!!Everyone is so friendly and honest, theyve always quoted me high, so usually the total ends up being less than what they tell me, and the guys are amazing! The work they do is worth it, and the prices are really good! My poor Jeep has had to go into them a fair number of times, they know it well now, and they always make sure that if theres anything I should know, they tell me! If it doesnt need to be done right then and there, they inform me of approximately how long is safe to wait. I dont know a whole lot about cars, but these guys break everything down for me so I can understand whats going on with my vehicle.

We have moved, and their facility is quite inconvenient for us, but we still make the effort to go to them because we know that we will be treated well and get the best service. JPT has it figured out. You can get the straight talk about your repair, followed up with quality parts and service. They go out of their way to tell you what has to be done, what may need to be done soon, and what to not worry about now. Depending on how old your car is, they can even recommend whether a proposed repair is reasonable, or if you might be throwing money down a rat hole.

I scheduled an oil change at my nearby Firestone. They inform me I have an oil leak and that its coming from the head gasket so the repairs will be upwards of $2,000. Like all advice, I seek a second opinion. So I ask around and somebody tells me about JPT. I schedule an appointment with them, bring my car in, and the very next day I receive a call from them. They inform me it was a bad nut on the oil pan and the head gasket is fine. Dropped the so called repairs down 99%. I no longer service my vehicles anywhere else. JPT has never tried to scam me and has always been truthful with me. I always tell friends and family about them because they are trustful mechanics who do things right!

Great service for a fair price. They fix what the problem is without digging for other problems. This is the place I go when I cant or dont have time to fix it myself. Theyve also allowed me to bring my own parts when a I wasnt able to complete a repair job at home.

Updating this review a year later. Found out they never replaced the tie-rod and if they did it was horrible part cause it broke a year later leaving me stranded. Then the brakes they put in were so cheap that they also went out 1.5yrs later. Great prices, just horrendous quality in parts. Get what you pay for.

After talking with Zac & the friendly, down-to-earth team here several times & ending up with a vehicle that’s in the best shape it’s been in years, they’ve made a customer out of me. When my local Honda dealership quoted $165 to just diagnose my vehicle, I knew I was done with them. And here i’ve found a trusted, honest, fair, quality shop to bring my vehicles to. In the end, he was able to find me reasonable solutions, and the price was several hundreds less than the dealer would have charged! Plus, Zac & several of his team have worked at the local Honda dealership I used to go to - I was thrilled to find him & his knowledge of my old, finnicky Honda hybrid!
