Totally ripped me off on a car i bought through Pcar Market. They grossly misrepresented the car by not showing the many flaws, dents extensive wear etc. Pcar Market refunded my 5K when they saw the pictures of the car I showed them which were not shown on the listing. They told me they never refund but that this was blatant misrepresentation. John the owner agreed and said he would take the car back and refund my money. Then he changed his mind and told me to take a hike. We are currently taking legal action. Photos shown below were not shown on the listing!
HORRIBLE EXPERIENCE !!! BE CAREFUL!!! Purchased a vehicle that they consigned on Bring a Trailer and i didnt get my title done for more than 6 months because of their unprofessional ways.I needed a simple letter stating that Black Horse was authorized to sell the vehicle on behalf of the owner in order to Title the car. They dodged my phone calls and would never deliver on the paperwork and the only way to get in contact with them after numerous emails and phone calls that led to nowhere was to say i was interested in a car they were selling. The moment they noticed it was me they started with the song and dance . Poor secretary was barely working there for a couple weeks and had to deal with this mismanagement (Shes no longer there and they moved location)SKETTCHYYY .I had to involve legal ways to make them move if not i would still be waiting. In the end i had to track down the previous owner myself to get things done. Total Shame and waste of my time for something so simple . All worked out but it was a nightmare situation to have a car with no title . You would think after so many years in Business they would know what they were doing.
I love my Range Rover HSE. Thank you Black Horse
Buyer Beware! I purchased a high end car from them and have had a nightmare with them and the vehicle I bought. The car wouldn’t go in reverse and had numerous mechanical and cosmetic issues, which were concealed when negotiating with them. I eventually spoke with John Buonanno, the owner of Blackhorsegarage and he finally agreed to a small refund. That was last December, after numerous calls, texts and emails, empty promises and excuses he still won’t honor his word. How can you trust a dealer who doesn’t have the integrity and honesty of your word? Do your homework and due diligence when dealing with them! But my advice is to avoid them completely!
For years I have been searching for the perfect muscle car, when I found an Ebay listing for a 2008 Ford Mustang Shelby GT500, then watched the video I fell in love! I called and spoke with John and made an appointment to drive the 2.5 hrs to check the car out, when I arrived I was greeted by Matt, a great guy that showed me the car then took me on a tour of their amazing facility. After an extensive test drive I bought the car on the spot! Seeing that I purchased it in December (2017) I have not really been able to enjoy the car until lately, and when I do I always get complements from complete strangers and its always pretty cool when at a stop light I look in the rear view mirror and see someone using their cell phone to take a photo of the car. I cant say enough great things about John, Matt and the rest if the people at Black Horse Garage, true professionals and artists....... Thank you!
Wow, these guys are excellent!. I bought a 27 year old mid-engine sports car with only 9800 original miles and they recommissioned the car including engine-out service, full systems refresh, brake lines, a/c, tires, fluid changes and a complete detail and leather reconditioning. Its like driving out of the showroom in 1993! Knowledgeable, fair and honest. Highly recommend.
The best collection of cras i ever seen. If you want you car restored, this is the only place to do it.
First I must say that some of the reviews left by others have to be mistaken. I have both seen and had that type of “bad” experience at other shops before. Luckily and thankfully to John and Black Horse those times are in the past. I am ecstatic with the end result as well as the path it took to get here. From the very first phone call I felt completely comfortable and felt like I knew John and his staff for years and they knew my car and her personality, and her flaws. Once I met the guys from Black Horse I knew I was at the right place. The shop and each specialist area were clean and organized. It was amazing like a car hospital. Through out the build I was kept in constant contact and asked my input as well as my opinion, and they gave me their professional opinion so I was completely informed before a decision was made. They made sure that the estimate was always in my hands and if I wanted to make changes I always had the opportunity. It’s difficult in today’s texting and emailing world to find a company that strives for personal customer service. I will always be a fan, friend and customer to John and his Black Horse crew and would let anyone know who was looking for a place that builds a professional relationship with the customer and their car. It is the greatest feeling to feel completely safe with your prized possessions.
This is the playground and spa of dream rides. They are so efficient, enthusiastic, and professional and did a ridiculously good restoration of my Volkswagen that some else had made a mess of. Do a virtual tour online and see the amazing collection or take your prized vehicles there for the very best work and care.
Very secure place very well and intelligent technicians
Great staff, knowledgeable mechanics, awesome facility. It’s always a pleasure stoping by. Everyone takes pride in their work.Black Horse! Good luck on your expansion and facility improvement project!!Can’t wait to come back.
Recently I emailed Black horse bull bar and asked a simple question here it is I have Black Horse bully bar that I had on my 2007 Honda Ridgeline and it is in excellent shape. I wanted to know if it would fit my 2019 Honda Ridgeline and if not was there a conversion kit. Three e mails later no reply. This speak volumes about Black Horse customer service. They make a quality product but customer service could use work. I see others have had a problem with this company will not buy from them again
Very talented, caring personnel for paint/body work (Aaron) and mechanical work (Matt). Problem is John, one of the owners, who has some anger issues. They recently resprayed and repaired rust on my car, and the cost was ultimately more than double his estimate. Yet he felt he gave the job away, and always held it against me.I went back today (with an appointment) to have them look at some chips in the paint, and was advised that I was banned from the premises by John, without honoring my appointment. Ive always treated the team with respect, always complimented their work. I paid all invoices in full upon receipt. I was patient while my car took 6 months to complete (3 month estimate), and was returned with many missing parts. If you can remove John from the process, youll get really good work, and wont leave with a bad taste in your mouth that your business was unappreciated.
Did a terrific job on my 69 Mustang. Very careful attention to detail. Highly recommend.
In the middle of an E-type restoration here. Despite relatively higher labor prices I had a good initial impression after speaking with Matt, who spoke of a previous E-type restoration and had knowledge of the models quirks. It’s too soon to tell how the project is going but I do know it will be an expensive endeavor, as the scope has snowballed beyond the initial mechanical issues I wanted addressed. We are now going forward with the aesthetics. The old warehouse it is in is the best investment for the garage as it provides the perfect era appropriate backdrop for many of the vintage vehicles stored there. However, the actual workspaces and staff seem limited despite the size of the building that is mostly used for seasonal storage. Beyond several lifts, it would be hard to see it is an auto repair shop.Time will tell how the project ends for the car and my wallet, and if It was worth spending the premium.I hope Black Horse can tune the car as well as bring out the beauty of the car’s lines and curves to my satisfaction. It appears we are speaking the same language but I am concerned with “at what cost”
I had extensive work done by Black Horse and was impressed by the quality of the work. I had an XK engine redone, brake work, body work and other mechanical work performed. Repairs all to the highest standard, I owned a few Jaguars ... Mark 1, XK 140 and a Mk 2 . I highly recommend this expert.
Great place to do business and they are very honest.
I was at Black Horse for an event and was completely blown away by the size of this place. Even more impressive was the number of very high caliber automobiles.
Black Horse Garage was recommended to me when I took my thirty-plus year old vehicle to a service center that was honest enough to tell me they didnt have the necessary tools or know-how to perform the work it required. Scott, Don, and Lou at Black Horse have been pleasant to deal with, but when I had to have my vehicle towed back in because the carburetor theyd rebuilt for me less than six months ago was leaking fuel all over the top of my engine and the distributor theyd replaced was no longer sending enough charge to start the car, they insisted on pressing me about who else had performed repairs on the vehicle since Id last been in. I explained that Id had to pay for an engine diagnostic in addition to the sixty-mile tow to their shop. So they charged me $300 (less a 10% Customer Appreciation discount) to put the distributor back together and advance the timing (a band-aid fix Ive paid neighborhood mechanics for in the past). Still having the same issues which Ive now discovered are caused by the carb loading up due to a kinked fuel line their invoice says they corrected as well as the idle and solenoid sensors the same invoice says they disconnected rather than providing a thorough and honest diagnosis that included the possibility of my onboard computer malfunctioning (work I would have been happy to pay to have them complete). They charged me three times what Id paid to have the carb rebuilt previously only to tell me when I picked it up that I should bring it back to have the rest of the emissions equipment reconnected which had been done with the first rebuild at no additional cost. I went to Black Horse Garage expecting five-star service and willing to pay for it but have instead received incredulity at wanting to know how much repairs will cost and when my car will be ready in addition to the vehicle requiring sensors they deactivated to be reconnected as well as further diagnosis. This is a high-end shop, and I respect that, but my money is as green as anyone elses. I would recommend Black Horse but only if you are willing to pay for their $400+ diagnosis and have a blank check and several weeks to wait for whatever the vehicle needs. I prefer not to write reviews like this but I remain thoroughly disappointed under the circumstances.
I trusted my classic VW beetle with them. Did not work out.
I bought a car from Black Horse Garage and they were very helpful and honorable in all of their dealings!
