I try to avoid this place, but it is close and sometimes, out of desperation I have to give in. I feed a cat at my office and discovered today I was out of food. I went there and got a box of 24 cans. Took it to the office. HAD A TERRIBLE STENCH when I opened the box. The labels were I guess eaten off the few cans I saw and there was matter inside the box. Took it back, of course. Was not given my money back because I had thrown away receipt. Cashier said all they could give me was a card with credit on it. There was no one with any authority to handle the matter. Since I dont plan on stepping foot in there again, I handed the card 23.05 to a lady who was checking out.....That place is dirty and I checked for the same item on line and everyone else had it at a cheaper price. Dont know why anyone goes there.........It deserves 0 stars.

The customer service at this place is super wonderful I was born and raised in this area and I love it the food is cheap grocery shopping experience or super great someone is always there to help you find something I just think its wonderful grocery store

Very pleasant people work here and make grocery shopping easier. Small town shopping at its finest. This manager is friendly and always eager to help. We stop by regularly for their fabulous fried chicken.

Very friendly staff eager to help you find anything you need. The meat department was very nice as was their produce department. They dont have much of a selection of organic foods. I was looking for Daves Killer bread or Ezekiel bread in the freezer case and none of their baked goods were organic.

Deli lady was hateful got home with fried chicken terrible. And coudnt take it back .my dog wouldnt eat it and she was hungry.

Store manager is one of a kind!Making customers feel appreciated when shopping there. Diane the cashier always has a welcoming smile.. way to go Diane.. Alvin in the produce dept is top notch always making sure fruit and veggies are fresh!Prices are a few cent higher than the larger stores but the home town feeling of appreciation makes it a worthwhile shopping experience!

Home town feel grocery store!

I was in town seeing family, and was craving some blue bell ice cream of course! So I thought I’d checkout some local place. I was glad I did! The place still looks like it’s the 90s. But the staff and food is top notch! Shoutout to Lisa and Marvin for some good conversation and kindness.

There arent any wipes to clean off your basket or any inside to clean your hands inside. Better wear gloves when you go in, because they dont care about you. Remember the virus!

Hes all over the store and he keeps it in order. The store has a down home feel that Ive experienced from it. Thats why I shop there. If I dont go to HEB, Ill come to Brookshire Brothers. Walmart is out of the equation!

Great food!! Friendly staff always with a smile... Groceries are a little high but good on sales.. Manager is always very friendly... Go check the store out... Pharmacy is very friendly.. Like the place i go back all the time: home away from home.

Try to always support local businesses, but Brookshire Grocery could at least be more competitive with pricing. Very convenient being only 12 miles from home, and clean. Some really good deals on local produce and meats, gifts.

They have some good tenders for not a bad price.

Good chiken

If I succumb to covid 19 I caught it at Brookshire brothers in Brenham. As I was going for a cart just outside the store one of the store managers came out and stood between the carts and water stored along the edge of the store. The manager had no mask and sneezed all over the carts and water. While I try to give the struggling store some business I have to draw the line. The employees do not wear mask there is a feeble attempt to maintain distance at the cash register (only one). The carts are not sanitized and while I believe that the leftys media has blown covid 19 out of proportion to the real this store does not care if all of its customers get sick.

I just love to shop here, especially when I need to get in and out quickly. Love the people who work here. Wish Logan was still in the deli because he made the BEST fried chicken!!

A nice place for me to go for quick trips. The employees are always pleasant and helpful, esp helping me unload my groceries. The store and parking lot are always clean. LOTS of handicapped parking, which is very appreciated ! They also have a tobacco store, which has a drive-thru, which gets a lot of business. Didnt give it 5 stars because prices are higher than other grocery stores in area. The tobacco barn prices are lower, however. I would say that the manager is very hands-on, very involved in both stores daily operations.

Excellent service

One thing a plus for Brookshire Brothers is they have a good fresh vegetable, fruit and meat selection. They have items in the freezer that you cant find at Walmart or HEB. In the bakery they also cook up lunches that are pretty dang tasty. The negative is you got to keep an eye on their prices.

Too over priced and its the only place that is close enough to walk. I am forced to pay the prices. It is as if they doubled their prices over night. The pharmacy however is very nice. They are kind and courteous. They dont hesitate to talk on the phone

This is a basically an expanded convenience store. Limited selection, high prices. There are never more than 2 cashiers unless they call for help when they get backed up. Pluses: store is easy to navigate due to its small size and they always have baggers, I have never once had to bag my own groceries. These 2 factors, along with plentiful handicapped parking, make it ideal for elderly and disabled people. Cashiers are pretty efficient, line hold-ups are usually due to customers who cant get their food stamp cards to work. Customer service experience is halfway between walmart and HEB. If you try to do your big shopping here it would be a budget killer, use it to pick up a few things on your way home from work.

Its convenient from my office as its right across the street and is equivalent price to HEB. Selection is a little bit more limited however for your Basics is a good place to jump in and grab what you need

Nice clean store. Staff is friendly. Not a large selection in produce. I go here when i just need a few things and dont want to deal with the crowd at HEB. Most things you can get cheaper anywhere else.

Not the place to go if you are looking for a great selection of items, but the store is clean and well stocked, and the employees are always very helpful. Great deli, with delicious burgers and fried chicken.
