Took a Toyota MR2 (a rare discontinued car) to this shop/location for a transmission fluid leak and an oil leak. Got car back after shelling out $1600.00, and after getting the car home, noticed it was STILL leaking oil, however the transmission leak seemed fixed. However, clamps were missing, the overflow reservoir wasnt put back in place, its hose was never put back on, the rain guard was put back on upside down and backwards, and they left the whole engine area DIRTY as hell!! So, took it back to them to fix these problems. They kept the car 2 months!!! During those 2 months, they called saying the head needed to be replaced, that it was cracked and they were sure thats where the oil leak was coming from. **Note: there was no crack before the car was brought to them** So, ordered a new head but it needed to be rebuilt, so they put it in some cheap-quality machine shop, who kept the head for a long time, weeks!!! Robert the owner, who lies and strings you along for WEEKS, kept giving excuses the mechanic has a broken leg and is in the hospital We cant seem to get in touch with the machine shop, and weve been calling several times ....ALL of those excuses are his problems!, not a customers! Finally get the car back, after getting home, realize they broke my tailpipe and tried to ghetto rig it back together with tape and wires, broke the side skirt below the drivers door completely in half and tried to JB Weld it back together, replaced my oil dipstick with something I cant reach, disconnected my A/C compressor without reconnecting it, and again, there were missing clamps, dirty hoses and parts in the entire engine area. Had to pay over $800 more the second time!!! And the car STILL leaks oil!!! After this amount of time, and the amount of money shelled out to this shop, it is NOT recommended to take your car here!!!! Ive read the other reviews and theyve experienced exactly the same treatment. DO NOT TAKE YOUR CAR HERE!!! Im surprised a lawyer hasnt shut them down!!!! But consumer protection agencies just might.And word to the wise, Robert, if youre reading this, dont bother responding to it. Youre in trouble!

My buick had a transmission problem, slipping, I heard about this place an figured Id try em out. their costumer service was excellent, they kept in touch on every move they made, I got my car back 100% diffrence in performance, they went above my expectations, an Id highly recommend them. they did one hell of a job.

Amazing service and great communication. I was in Florida for work (from Mass) and my transmission decided to die while I was 1,500 miles from home. I talked to Rob and he told me he was busy but since I was so far from home he would get it done ASAP. The other shop told me they could start it in 4-5 weeks 😳. Rob had my truck apart and diagnosed within the day and was already ordering parts for it that day. He kept me updated daily and had me on my way home within 4 days! Truck made it home with no issues. He also checked in with me today (two days later) to make sure I checked the fluid levels to make sure it’s still running right and she’s good. Thank you Rob and your team is awesome

Took my truck to these RIP OFFS Per my car ishurance. To have my engine replaced. PAID THEM TO PUT NEW PLUGS AND GASKETS. NEVER RUN RIGHT SINCE TOOK IT TO 3 OTHER ASE CERTIFED MECHANICS. THESE RIPOFFS ONLY CHANGED 3 OUT OF 8 AND 2 WERE LOOSE DO NOT USE THEM AT ALL TOTAL RIP OFFS BEWARE. THIS IS THE. 400$ in January NEW PLUGS 3 BAD 2 LOOSE BEWARE BERWARE

This place is a joke!! My wife goes in and pays hundreds of dollars to fix an issue and always ends up driving home with the same issue that wasnt fixed!! This is the fourth time now, this calls for legal action. Please do yourself a favor and avoid this place at all costs! They dont fix anything so that the customer comes back to pay more! I will be sharing this on all social media platforms! I have all the receipts for proof and i can have another mechanic confirm that this stuff on the invoices was not done correctly!.......Now Rob replied to my review asking to contact him which I have been trying to do for 2 weeks now and is never available. Obviously he doesnt want to fix the issue, he just doesnt want to look bad on Google reviews. How unprofessional!!!!

Go see Pete the general manager. He is amazing. Knows everything there is to know about cars (especially Jeeps) and I have sent several people to him. I know enough about mechanics (former USAF jet mechanic) to know he is a better deal than anyone in Tampa.

I don’t recommend going here I took my car to them June of last year after taking it to another auto shop where they told me my transmission was done for so I take it here to the specialist and after my car sat for a month they tell me it’s my spark plugs.. I said spark plugs??????? I literally changed them myself two months prior so I picked my car up and paid for new spark plugs and a new battery when I get home I look under the hood and it’s the same battery that I installed myself over 5 years ago and the spark plugs look like the same ones I brought from Autozone.. I wouldn’t trust them they lie and take your money.. so I took my car to another transmission specialist and they said it is my transmission that needs to be replaced.. do not trust them!!!!

I am more than satisfied with the service my family received at this repair shop. My daughter’s car broke down at a busy interaction and they were there to tow “Nate the Escape” in record time. We were amazed! They immediately started working on the car and once they determined the problem, they explained it in a way that made sense. We highly recommend this Aamco location. I brought my car in to have it checked out. Drove there with no problems. As soon as i left the seal had catastrophic failure. Now im out money to tow back to their shop and a tow home cost more. The mgr didnt understand why the tech pulled the plug after the codes read internal damage to torque converter.Good question !?! I feel what he did caused my car to have catastrophic failure. Now im out of money for towing & new car. Very upset. What to do ??? Everyone i encountered was very nice. But why cant they own up to their mistake !!!

He checked out our vehicle and suggested that we call to check that it’s under warranty... luckily, it was! We didn’t spend a dime thanks to his honesty.

Pete diagnosed the problem straight away. Unfortunately his search for a used replacement part didnt come up with anything, however they came up with a get you by fix for a few days until a new part came in. All the time Pete kept me updated on progress by phone. Even though it says that AAMCO opens at 8:00am, I would arrive at 7:30am and their would be someone there to get my car in, lost very little work time. Very professional, highly recommended.

This place has the worst customer service I have ever experienced in my life! Had work done on my transmission done there and had to take it back a few months later because it wasnt done probably the first time. They needed to keep my car overnight when I took it in for a diagnostic test and I was never called or informed about anything. When I asked to speak to a manager I was told he wasnt there and got hang up on. I paid thousands of dollars cash to have them fix my car and they did a very poor job! I will NEVER go back there ever! The Customer Service there is pure garbage!

AAMCO took a messy situation with my transmission and made everything right. I had a very crooked repair shop do an absolutely awful job in rebuilding my transmission. After 5 trips to this shop, I refused to take it back again. One 4 hour appointment at AAMCO and everything was fixed perfectly. Thanks Terry and Team!

They lied about repairs, claimed they fixed things, went to the dealer because my car was still acting up, dealer had to fix hoses, spark plugs, and coils that these gooffs said they fixed. I am stuck with a large bill after stealing my money I wish they get closed down for being thieves!!!

Dont waste your time going here. The employees are obviously not on the same page. Wouldnt match a sister location pricing, threatened to take out my air filter when all I needed was my axle, and tried to charge me $40 for an oil changed that magically dropped to $25 when I went to pick up my car. The man at the counter even said they purposefully charge higher amounts to those who are new!!! I am new!! This is rediculous. Sadly, I had to give them my business as I work 70+ hrs a week and needed my car for work. I wouldnt reccomend anyone going here until they do their homework. An $80 part for $168 is a little much...

As I was calling for a quote on transmission repairs, was told by Charlie that Id have a free towe with second opinion, as I was already at another auto shop. I should have stayed where I was at, because they charged for a towe they said would be free. Anything to get you in the door, rather than just giving a direct (ball-park) quote, like every other auto shop. No trust.

Was told by Aamco I needed a new transmission Thant was almost 200,000 miles ago still no trouble with that transmission to this day apparently 12 years ago it was a bad coil on plug pack $200 dollar fix vs the $3500 aamco wanted and yes they wanted to do a tuneup also
