After an exhausting move, I needed to replace a lost screw from a piece of furniture. It was a special type of screw that I had never seen before. Your employee was extremely helpful at finding the right kind/size for me so I could put my dresser back together. I also enjoy getting my knives sharpened regularly from your guy out front, it’s really convenient. Thank you, ACE!

Very nice and helpful store! The reason I am leaving 2 stars is due to the guy that they have outside sharpening knives (Vans Sharpening Service) This guy is beyond rude, short with me and in general a jerk. This makes two times now I have used him and both times a horrible attitude, definitely not what the ACE store represents! I strongly suggest severing ties with this company!

The only thing better than an ace hardware is an ace hardware with a sharpening service. The wife makes me go to wherever Van is sharpening so he can keep her 2 favorite chef knives razor sharp.

This is the way a hardware store should be run! What a pleasant experience! I needed some sprinkler/irrigation parts and Kenneth not only showed me where the parts were, he asked me what I needed and helped me find the right pieces. He even showed me a better/easier way of doing it. Now thats customer service!

This place has pretty much everything you need for your home repairs and maintenance. Every time I go there, which is every other day, I get grated at the door by their friendly staff. They are always eager to help you and they are very knowledgeable. Not like the people at those 2 warehouses. You know the big guys. I wont say no names but their stores are huge. The bad part is you can never get any help. And if you happen to find someone who can help they hardly know what they are talking about. Not like the folks at ACE. THEY ARE ON THEIR GAME.

I have left positive feedback for ace hardware in the past but different store this time. No matter which store I go to in Florida or other states they are all the same. I always get stellar customer service with the help I need and patience with my questions. I go out of my way to go there instead of closer other similar stores.

Excellent place to shop

While the man who helped me was very helpful, the majority of staff and customers were unmasked. Including a young man who worked there who was standing right in the space you had to walk through to exit the checkout area, forcing you to walk within 2 ft of him to exit the store. So no matter how helpful one gentleman was, it’s not worth risking my health to go back.

Indeed, every other Ace (in the Tampa Bay region) literally, for our inquiry--didnt stock what we needed, said they didnt have access to getting it nor would they do anything related to further inquiring about it (as to the Ace warehouse)... i.e., oh well and tough luck; they cared very little if at all about serving a long-standing customer... assuming may be the same with other product needs and customers. AMY, at Cortez Ace Hardware, Bradenton FL ... made herself immediately available, had cheer and resolution in mind for this customer--resolving the matter with prompt product avail via pick-up at the Cortez store. Too, staff members at this Bradenton store greeted customers with smiles and concern for prompt service. Thank you for your cooperative and STELLAR service Cortez Ace Hardware--SO VERY APPRECIATED!

Very helpful staff and very well stocked. Found what I needed to complete a job for a customer.

Took 2 dull knives for sharpening. Booth was open at 10 oclock sharp. Greeted warmly and knives measured. Charge is $1 per invh. Within 15 minutes I had like-new knives. Go there for great service and SHARP knives.

I normally shop at the Ace Hardware on Manatee Ave but I was coming back from the island and remembered I needed something. Well I stopped in, and I never will be stopping in again! Horrible service, and I heard the worker talking I’ll about me as I was leaving! Cashiers were rude as well. Someone told me this one was owned by the Crowders as well but I don’t believe them or crowders has went down the toilet.

Wow....even if hardware stores arent part of your design center, this one is worth exploring. Very new, very neat, very friendly...
