I love this place and make a point to stop here nearly every time Im in the area! Great selection of outdoor equipment and clothing to sift through, the majority of which are for phenomenal prices (especially if youre willing to wait)! Long-time customer and consigner, but what happened to this place? Victims of their own popularity? In any case, the selection seems to have gone way downhill..maybe folks got tired of paying a middleman such a high cut when other online now options charge way less. Wish I knew, because this place used to be THE BEST for steals and deals on gear. But now feels more like a flea market and vintage clothing store where all I see is the same beat-up stuff, some of it decades old, that just hangs around indefinitely. Like who’s buying wetsuits from the 80s, synthetic sleeping bags and Thermarests from the 90s, or down jackets in the middle of summer? Equally confused by the high prices for well-loved stuff like footwear or even helmets. A steady churn of staff also all seem to think whatever outdated info they can dig up on the internet justifies an absurd asking. Disappointed to see a staple local business that I supported forever sorta lose itself in this pumped-up pandemic market.

I went to this store just to look around and as soon as I walked in I didnt want to leave. They had a huge selection of high quality, name brand outdoor clothing. They also have prices that drop on certain dates which let some things get so cheap its hard to not purchase. The staff is super helpful and nice. I will definitely be going back since they had anything I could ever need! I highly recommend checking here before buying something new.

Usually find awesome stuff here, nice people and pretty relaxed environment. Giving the 2 stars because it’s not a good spot for sellers. Lots of small details are kept out. If you’re rich and can donate a lot of stuff, awesome. If you’re trying to make a little something off your used items, better luck on a market place. Hate to be a complainer, but just be wary! Make sure to ask a lot of questions, because their website and store attendants keep a lot out.

Great place to find used gear at reasonable prices. As a consignor, I was not satisfied with their communication and payment for items sold. Major rip off place. Took in my partners skis on consignment and then said they couldn’t sell them because the bindings were too old. When she went to collect them they said they gave them away so they were obviously good for someone. Just remove the bindings and the skis were fine. But they gave them away without her permission. Sounds like theft maybe? In addition, they sold a pair of ski pants of hers and so far have refused to give her the money they owe her for it. Theft again? This place is clearly a scam and should be shut down by the DA as such.Beware doing business with them. Unless you enjoy getting ripped off.

Not a bad shop. Theyve got cool employees and a ton of stuff, but had very little snowboard gear (which is what we went for). The 8 boards they had were either super cheap or super expensive, (25$ or 200$). They did have a lot of biking and rock climbing items though.

I am sure there is good deals in the store! I have been there twice and had rude, uninviting experiences. I think this matters a lot as a consumer and will never return due to principle. Why pay 92$ for something when I could get the same thing for $125 online, new, with a warranty, without the hassle of feeling out of place, without the snarky attendants, and be happier. Again, maybe the dude, bros just had a chapped ass today but who cares this is the customer service industry...I walked out after asking about pricing and feeling like I got spoken to in a rude manner. I left the two stars cause it has the potential to be spectacular, but a consignment store first needs to be that a consignment store...not retail with 15% off...especially with rude device...double get outta here bro.

Before dropping off great kids gear by high end name brands for resale, I decided to read the reviews for this recycling place. There were several one star reviews describing terrible experiences. But there are always going to be people disgruntled with some things…right?… .Well, believe the bad reviews on this one! My experience is that the place is in a terrible location to receive much traffic, their hours are not conducive to sports enthusiasts, heading off in the morning, or on certain days, and we found that their products are priced extremely high on the onset. We, too, found the personnel to be rude and curt. I was to read and sign the rules of sale basically stating that all the footwork and record keeping would be on my end. We dont call you, you call us policy. After stopping by to pick up my last check that was due me, I found store closed sign--not once, but twice--during daytime hours. When asking if they would mail my small balance due me, he stated there is a $1.00 mailing FEE.I guess they feel their customer base is good enough, because they wont be adding too many more!!Look on Craigslist….youll definitely do better!!!

You can find ridiculously high-end sports gear for ridiculously low prices, and the staff care more about equipping you with the right gear than making sales, which is why I chose to start working there. Im not too sure why some people are upset with BSRs customer service. #1 I have not had any bad experiences over the past ten years, and #2 this is not the same type of store as McGuckin or REI where there is help with a smile at every turn and in every aisle (more an attribute of McGuckin than REI anyway). I dont really expect that at a place like this nor have I ever been treated poorly. Theyve been friendly and helpful and I really appreciate this place as a hidden gem in Boulder. They dont do electronic records, just old school paper, which I find kind of quirky and refreshing and nothing to complain about. Ive consigned stuff a few times there and theyve sold my stuff and Ive gotten decent money every time. Ive purchased nice items at a great bargain another handful of times at least. No complaints here. We need stores like this.

Its really too bad the service is so horrible. Ive been there three times, purchased over 200 bucks worth of stuff, yet Ive only had a good experience once. I keep wanting to give them another shot, but I give up. I guess Ill stick to any one of their local or internet based competitors.
