Decent secondhand shop, though pretty pricey.
We went looking for high school homecoming dresses and that was not their inventory but they have cool things for the fashionista and kind employees who gave us tips as to where to go. Great recycling of stylish/ funky clothes.
This place has changed the way I think about shopping. I feel like Im shopping in a friends closet who has way more style (and money) than me. Seriously, Ive looked up some of the items and I would never spend that much on these clothes new but the quality of Common Threads might as well be new. They have new merchandise every week. The ladies who work there are super nice-Audrey is always there when I go and she is just super sweet and helps me find cute clothes. My favorite clothing store for sure !
Super nice clothing at a very good price. Nice for the environment to reuse clothes.
This is womens only consignment. And everything is overpriced.
This store has great items and Ive bought several nice pieces for my closet here over the years. The problem is the staff. Every time I come in here I brace myself for the stuck up attitudes. Rarely am I greeted when entering the store. The last time I was in I browsed for 15 minutes and not one person came over to ask if I needed help. On my most recent visit I left wondering if I didnt have the right look for the sales associates to speak with me. I asked a few friends who also shop here if theyve had the same experience and everyone was in agreement that yes, you all have an attitude problem. I will say, I had one positive experience about a year and a half ago shopping for a dress for an event. So I guess the entire staff isnt to blame. This is the first time I have ever written a review for a store, but I felt compelled to do it.
Always great things. Never disappointed.
Wayyyy too expensive for used clothes
So I went here for the first time the other day, trying to sell of an old formal dress of mine. Unfortunately they didn’t buy it (which was understandable since it’s more of a summer dress), but the staff was still very nice throughout the whole experience, and even recommended another place that might be interested in buying in. I browsed the store while they looked at my clothes and was really impressed with the quality of clothes they had. I can’t believe I hadn’t heard of this place till now, it’s a must for anyone looking for beautiful designer clothes at a fraction of the price!
The overpriced gentrification of thrifting, gotta love it.
Love consigning my items here! And of course, theres always something unique and interesting to buy.
The best finds! Beautiful store, wonderful staff xo
Fabulous clothes, respectable R&B music, kind sales clerks... and sales on fantastic consignments!! 10/10 would recommend!Came here for New Years clothes. Left with a whole wealth of wardrobe wish list items... and some seriously fancy sequins ;)
I am from Milwaukee and always like to visit luxury consignment when I travel. Excellent selection and very reasonably priced. I have been all over the US and many luxury consignment is over-priced. This was just right.Really disappointed no one greeted me when I came in. I was in the store for a good 10 minutes before someone offered me any assistance...That’s the only thing I didn’t like.
My husband and I went in while we were on vacation and even though I’m not normally a consignment store shopper, the merchandise intrigued me. I was EXTREMELY disappointed in the service. After years of being in the high end service retail, I have to say there is not one associate I would consider hiring to work for a “real” high end store. Perhaps taking the time to smile and acknowledge the presence of all clients would have enticed me enough to purchase, even if I didn’t want something. There is truth in the service industry that when relationships with clients are established, clients will purchase because of those relationships and normally I am one of “the buyers” when great customer service is encountered. Oh well.
I have found SO MANY gems here. The curated collection of clothes, shoes, and accessories is brilliant. Its the only consignment store I go to in Denver (and Boulder)!
Great selection for the fashionable females in your life
This is by far without a doubt the best, most unique, hip, eclectic shop I have ever shopped at. I have been away in Texas but moving back to Boulder and I cannot wait to get back in town to visit my most favorite place. I have found the most amazing purses, boots, dresses here and get compliments on everything I buy here. If you want a real treat, come spend a few hours here shopping. It wont disappoint.
Love this shop. Well curated mix of designer finds and knowledgeable, honest and friendly staff. It is my stop every time I am in Boulder. Incredible niche designers that I love... you need to go and discover this gem.
I gave Them 4 stars for the quality of their merchandise. It is very carefully curated and full of high end brands. No they are not thrift store prices but the items are not your typical thrift store merchandise. Personally my experience was not 4 star as I am not a small or extra small. Most of their merchandise was in this size range and they had very little beyond Back. The staffed seem friendly although they did not acknowledge me until I was. leaving. I strongly recommend a visit if you are petite and thin otherwise you may not find much in the way of clothing. However they did have a decent handbag and shoe selection if thats what youre in the market for. I am not an unusual size and usually find things that fit me pretty easily so I was a bit disappointed as I did find their garments appealing
Ive always loved Common Threads selection of clothing. I purchased a necklace yesterday and was amazed by the customer service. The owner went above and beyond to verify the provenance of the jewelry and to ensure I was comfortable with the purchase. It was an expensive item, and I felt grateful for her integrity and her commitment to selling quality goods. Cant recommend this shop enough!
Found this place by accident while looking for Rags, another consignment store, which I visited later. Loved the relaxed vibe of Common Threads, the store layout and grouping by color and type of clothing, which made it easy to browse, and the plentiful dressing rooms. I found a practically new and very stylish wool cardigan for less than $20. I will definitely return and try my luck again!
This place is horrible. Gave them a 550$ pair of boots to try and resell. A. They dont keep your items under any circumstances after the date that they give you to pick them up, if youre not there and you dont call they etc rid of them. B. On that same not, they literally cant even give you an accurate date as to when the last day your item will be kept on the shelf is (making it hard to pick up before they get rid of it). Besides the point, these boots were BRAND NEW, put on my feet on e and couldnt be returned to the original company. When I went to pick up my boots they were FILTHY. Dirt all over them, black marks all over the beautiful beige leather? And they didnt keep the box that they came in? What kind of unprofessionalism is this? So now I cant even pass them along with their original box.... screw this place.... Im glad they didnt sell so that you couldnt make 50% off of me.
A word of caution for anyone looking to consign here:I brought some clothes to consign here, the shop reviewed all my items & took 5 as sellable. When I returned at the end of the consignment period, most was fine (3 items sold & I received the money, 1 did not & was returned) except I was told a pair of $200 jeans would not be returned to me as they were donated.I asked why and was given an excuse about finding a hole & told that was their policy (even though they had already reviewed my clothes when I first brought them in and I had followed their policy of signing for & calling before the consignment period ends to ask my clothes to be returned to me, not donated, if they did not sell, and had come to pick up the items within the 2week window).Honestly I am not sure if this is some obscure policy I was not told about, or if the jeans were simply taken by an employee, but in either case I found this completely dishonest and upsetting.Huge bummer because I had high hopes for this shop & maybe it was a one-time mistake, but I would caution anyone who brings clothes here to keep note / photo (& just be more diligent than I was at arguing if an item goes missing). I have since opted to sell items at Crossroads or Buffalo Exchange instead & would recommend those as I have never had such an experience with them. Or donate to ARES or Goodwill directly!
I’ve tried several times and they never have my size in anything. Really nice selection of designer brands if you can find the right size.
I really like this consignment shop. Well organized and lots of cute stuff. Its a bit pricey though and not a ton of parking that sometimes fills up.
I had a really nice experience here. The staff are friendly and helpful. The prices are right! Ill come back again soon.
Noel went above and beyond helping me when I visited the store today. Everyone on staff here is great, but I certainly appreciate her efforts. The clothes are pretty wonderful too :)
Amazing, highly curated selection of designer clothing and great service. Its the only place I shop in Boulder!

I have been coming to Common Threads for eight years and always love the interaction with the employees and the clothing. A fun shop with a creative lab in the back for sketching and sewing classes too!
Second hand clothed..too expensive
The clothes in this store are in impeccable shape- and are unique and artful. Though I dont put a ton into my look this made me want to - felt like a kid in candy store!!!
