This is, hands down, my favorite outdoor gear store. A close second is Wilderness Exchange.Their customer service is absolutely top tier and they have a great selection of items. The store isnt as big as REI and doesnt have quite as much stuff, but the atmosphere is so much warmer and theres tons of stuff at better prices than REI. Their shirts are my favorite shirts ever, so very comfy and theyve got funny prints too.You can also order stuff directly into the store and if you let them know theyll upgrade you to free and faster shipping. Moosejaw rewards are also fantastic.I frequent the discount clothing rack and the climbing section. Theres a lot of humor in this store and I adore it.

First of all this store ROCKS. They have just about anything you could want for outdoor activities and backpacking!Also they run a fantastic IG page that does giveaways on the regular. I won a $200 pair of vasque boots for both me AND my friend! Definitely go check that out.Also they are dog friendly, and super helpful and informative. The staff is friendly and inviting. This is definitely a spot you want to see if you are into any kind of outdoor recreation!

Highly positive and knowledgeable staff, always great promotions, amazing energy, camping, skiing, and all-around outdoor gear that makes your mouth water...and great perks for rewards members. Give them a call and listen to the greeting-its hilarious! And...theres a ping pong table inside the store. I mean honestly, what more could a customer ask for!? Worth it to stop in just to play and look at the amazing gear and clothing. Youll leave with a smile(*and just maybe with a new Colorado outdoor hobby).

Good stock, but very confusing, vague, and non-transparent with sale policies. Ends up being a waste of time when you get to point of sale and only then learn that the several items you have in you basket are not eligible. Yes I carefully read the policies upfront.

I have done my research on different fitting snow goggles, and wanted to try some on before buying a pair. I went into Moosejaw hoping to try one a pair before buying them. When I asked the employees if had any “low nose bridge” snow goggles, two of the employees began looking through their inventory while one of them loudly says “I DONT THINK THEY (snow goggles companies) MAKE THOSE”. I did not appreciate her tone of voice and lack of advice. She did not help contribute any useful information to the conversation and did not make an effort to provide adequate customer service. The other two employees found a pair that were in fact “low nose bridge fit” and informed me on the “S” series that Smith’s carries. Sadly, my interaction with one employee tainted my thoughts on the Moosejaw here in Boulder.

I just had the BEST customer service at this place!! A young lady named Kelly helped me and she went above & BEYOND to help me!! She was so kind & patient with me! I have no experience with skiing or snowboarding & I want to try it, but I needed the gear first. I had no idea what qualities I should be looking for in the different outerwear and Kelly gave me so much information and so many great tips! She even told me what standard pricing on certain items were, ensuring I wasnt paying too much (I didnt even ask her for this). There was a specific snow pant she recommended and they didnt have it at Moosejaw so she called several places such as REI & Northface, and Christy Sports looking for it for me!! Also, this was ALL within an hour of closing! I didnt feel rushed despite the fact that I was there until closing! The other guy working was also very nice! Overall wonderful customer service & I will definitely be coming back!!

I ordered a product from them and noticed an email saying the order was cancelled with no explanation. They told me that they had ram out of the product and had to cancel. They never cared to say that they ran out of stock and never gave any form of compensation.

I’ve been a Moose Jaw customer for years this week I was in Boulder, CO and decided to visit an official store when I walked i I was approached by a store associate asking what I was searching for I said snow boots he told me they runned out of stock both in store and online meanwhile I had a pair of snow boots in my hand smh once I left the store I immediately pulled out my smartphone and went on moosejaw com to check if they had snow boots in stock and they did I immediately realized this store associate lied to my face just to get me out of the store whether or not the store associate was displaying racial prejudice because of the color of my skin I am uncertain however I know from now on i can no longer buy from Moose Jaw anymore .

Just had one of the best customer service experiences of my life. I ordered a beacon/shovel/probe from Moosejaw and when it came in, the packaging and items in the box were scuffed up. Normally I wouldnt be too concerned, but when it comes to avalanche safety, I really want my gear to be in perfect condition out of the box. So I took the stuff into Moosejaw and the staff were fantastic. First, he checked the shipment and item history to make sure the gear was never out of Moosejaws control (basically, no one bought and returned the gear). Then he called another store that had the item on display to make sure the box had never been opened. At this point we both felt confident the gear was in good shape and only suffered minor scraping bouncing around inside the box. And then he offered me an additional discount on my purchase for the trouble of coming into the store. This is how to win a customer as a fan for life!! Thank you!

Staff and selection are two key points with Moosejaw and both are awesome in my opinion. A pretty good selection of packs and clothing. I showed up too close to closing time to really have time to see everything, but, I will definitely return in the future.

I was the only one that walked in after returning a pair of Solomons - I didnt catch his name but it was because I was so into how this employee let me ask questions, he answered - went in back and brought out a fantastic choice! Lowa - durable and affordable - the Solomons were falling apart after 6 weeks I got from REI. But REI refunded and was good about it. LOVE MOOSEJAW! Best experience ever in a Boulder store! Very happy camper :)

A shout-out to the guys at Moosejaw, did not find the type of hiking boots I was looking for. However, when I my eBay package came in, they set me up with some orange paracord boot laces.

They are sort of terrible. Maybe not terrible, but not very good. I think there are better outdoor retailers in the US. I dont know if this is a result of Walmart buying them or not, but thumbs down. This is based off of internet experience and not store front.

This place has an awesome selection of outdoor gear and the staff is super friendly. They helped me order ski boots from last season to store when I couldnt find them anywhere else!

MooseJaw is a pillar for outdoor gear. I have been buying from them for 15 years or so. I like the compilation of products and styles they pick. Plus their own t shirts and sweatshirts are awesome. I recently had to get rid of a sweatshirt from them I had for 15 years. Store in Boulder is really cool!

The staff are amazing, really helpful and know their stuff. They will go out of their way to help you with anything you need and with incredible attitude and customer service. I drove all the way from Colorado Springs twice and will continue to do so because theyre just that awesome (2.5hrs one-way). The stock is top notch, the rewards system is great, the prices arent too bad, Id rather give my money to them and get the rewards than any other store. (Psst, use Ebates too). Shout out to Jeff and the two younger gents who love the movies especially, absolutely wonderful people and really make the whole shopping experience a blast!

This is a review for the Moosejaw.com online retailer. I ordered a ThermaRest Xtherm Womens insulated pad from them, which arrived without the scrub sack, box, or repair kit. On contacting customer service, they informed me that I would have to submit a warranty to Therma-Rest. When asked why (since this should not be a warranty issue), they said that Therma-Rest had sent them the items without a complete set. Thats right, they sent out the item they sold, which is billed on the website as the complete kit, KNOWING that it didnt have all items included, and now are kicking it to the customer to deal with the hassle. Why would you ever think this would be ok?

First time shopping from the store after ordering online from them for a while. They carry a limited number of brands but theyre upfront about selection on the website. Staff is super helpful and I had no problem requesting a price match with another retailer. Highly recommend

The gearheads here are super helpful & chill. They have a reward system and the points add up and you can use them to purchases within a year of that purchase. If they don’t have it in stock in the store, they will ship it to your for free.

Super fast shipping. I ordered a pair of scarpa instincts that were out of stock and they still got to me in 2 days. I only live an hour away from the store but still, that was fast!

I went in today to get an exchange taken care of, the manager Eddy impressed me by going above and beyond and was very pleasant to work with. Terrible for online shopping. I ordered one pair of bike shorts. They were too large. I could not exchange because I purchased through Paypal. I was charged over $14.00 to return them with their shipping label. Shipping from Colorado Springs CO to Boulder CO.

Went here for a backpack after I couldnt find a good match at r.e.i. It looked like they had one but it was out of reach so I couldnt actually look at it and couldnt find someone to help with it. My hunt for a good backpack continues.

The store is a blast... More of an adults outdoor playground then a some supply store. From the crazy Easter egg hunt for discounts to a indoor dry snowball fight there is much more to this store then trying on the latest Patagonia spring fashions. Maybe a round of ping-pong while the wife trys on new yoga pants... Why not.

Moosejaw is an awesome Boulder style mountaineering shop (best I can tell as a non mountaineer 😂). Great staff and an amazing selection of clothing and gear. I have shopped hear many times over the last couple years and have always love it!

Recently I have been trying to purchase an Exped two person sleeping pad that is sold out everywhere due to its revolutionary design -- and thus popularity. The guys at Moosejaw (Paul and others) were extremely helpful and looked into if they could get ahold of one for me. Their system showed that they might be getting them a few weeks out. Sure enough when they saw that they were able to get one they had it shipped to the store and called again when they had it for me. The customer service, product, and overall customer experience were exceptional. Thanks again guys!

Great little location, but do yourself a favor and do your research on the item your looking for because its tough to get recommendations here or advice. They do however help get different sizes down from the wall, offer to transfer other sizes from their warehouse, and prices are fairly competitive (if they arent they price match anytime within 30 days)This moosejaw location is somewhat small and selection isnt great, but they can get several different products Your interested in and you dont have to buy then return all but one.

Paul helped me assemble my Oru kayak. Very knowledgeable, helpful and patient. You wont find that level of quality at REI and definitely not at the REI Denver flagship

Terrible, dishonest company that essentially robbed me of $2207.99. I returned a number of items to the Boulder store approximately 6 months ago and received a receipt for the returns totaling this amount. To date, I have not received this refund on my credit card despite multiple disputes with my credit card company. Instead of trying to be cute with their forced jokes and humor, they should focus on customer service and making things right. My credit card company reached out to them recently, to which they stated they do not owe me anything since so much time has passed. Really? Buyer beware when making large purchases with this company. Amateur at best when compared to outdoor retailers like REI and Backcountry.

This place is great! I visited here for the first time looking for a hooded, down jacket for backpacking to replace an old one.The staff is super friendly and they have lots of cool stuff. I shopped first on their website which is fantastic. The store was smaller than I thought it would be and unfortunately had less of a variety than the REI that Im used to shipping at.I didnt find a jacket while I was there but walked over to Montbell and found one there.Moosejaw is awesome though and Ill be back to browse again. I have purchased items from their website several times and will again.

One star for lack of intrest in ones job. Ive worked retail, fake it or ask a coworker if you dont want to interface with your customers.Usually pretty good customer service but the sales person on staff is more interested in texting on her phone that helping me find what I was looking for. When I turned around to ask another question she had already gone back up front and startd texting again. This was in less than 30 seconds at most. I decided to leave and said nicely have a good day. Her reply delivery reinforced the fact that she didnt care for customers. People have bad days but I would have bought what I was looking for is she had at least attempted to help. I dont know her circumstances, maybe something happened that needed her attention. But one steps out in those moments.

I played rock, paper, scissors with the manager for a discount. I lost but still got the discount, because well... There was a sale going on and the manager just enjoys rock, paper, scissors.

I often use their site, first time I got to go to a store, I enjoyed it.
