Ive visited bookstores all across the country, and this bookstore is definitely in my top 10. Its spacious, unique, fun, and has every bit of the vibe you look for when shopping for books.Definitely check this place out instead of going to Barnes and Noble or any other big retail bookstore.

OH MY GOSH WHAT AN AMAZING PLACE!! I always want to support independent bookseller but this place takes it to the next level. Several levels, in fact! Theres the large main floor, two sections of downstairs (and one side branches off to east and west sections), plus a ballroom upstairs, and a whole psychology/new age/religion section down a half flight from the top. Its a weird, sprawling, nook-and-cranny type place that is a joy to explore. Even though Im trying very hard not to buy new books, I walked out with a very discounted book and a bumper sticker. The staff are very efficient and kind.

I absolutely love this bookstore. There are so many titles on any topic and other unique items I haven’t seen anywhere else. I love the layout of the store with so many levels and things to see and read at every turn. Staff are friendly and helpful too!

Incredible bookstore in the heart of Boulder. I love checking out independent bookstores in every city I go to, and I have to say, this one blew me away. 3 stories worth of books. I love psychology and spirituality and this place had perhaps the most detailed and well curated sections on these topics that I’ve ever seen! Please do yourself a favor and go here and grow as a human being!

Oh man! What can you say? Awesome book store. They rank up there with Powell’s in Portland and Strand in NYC. Visit this store. You will not be disappointed with the selection. The new section at the entrance is fantastic. Just visit - you don’t be disappointed.

Beautiful building. Great selection. But don’t even think about taking a sip of water in this store. Even if you are the only person in the room. And sitting down to catch your breath? You better not. Absolutely not allowed. How dare you!

This place isnt what it looks like. Its massive with 3 stories plus 2 mid floors tucked in there. They have every subject you can think of! Super cool!

This book store is amazing! Definitely one of the coolest Ive been to. I stumbled on it while walking down Pearl St. Its a 3 story book store with the most incredible selection of books. When you first walk in they have a few shelves with books recommended by others to read. These sheves alone make the store worth visiting. Its always nice to see what others read, recommend, and why they recommend it. They also have the most diverse selection of books I havent heard of before.

A Boulder institution this bookstore is one to visit, browse and purchase from. The selection is massive, with three floors packed to the ceilings full of books. Despite a seemingly never-ending inventory they are bound by the laws of physics and may not be carrying the exact tome you are searching for, but the staff is more than happy to secure a copy via special order if physically possible. A must visit for anyone who reads.

Went to this area during vacation and managed to check out this book store. Its a lovely 3 story shop that has all kinds of books that youre looking for. They also have bins where you can put books that youve touched but dont want to buy so they can clean them before putting them back.

Just visited again and raised my rating to 5 stars even in the pandemic. I’m in love with how knowledgeable the staff is and willing to chat about the books. Books are arranged in logical order. Even the poetry! I love this place. Best bookstore this side of the USA! Recommendations are thoughtful. Selection is up to date. There are clever little kitschy items. The children’s section is extensive. Wish I lived here!

Easily one of the best bookstores Ive ever been in. With a sprawling 3 floor layout, I was shocked to find every floor packed with phenomenal collections of every writing form. The poetry section ranged from Ross Gay, Torrin A. Greathouse, Ada Limón, Eduardo C Corral, and a whole host of great anthologies and curated collections that made my inner librarian squeal. The Buddhist furniture was a great addition, and so too are the various miscellaneous items like patches and stickers you can purchase. A well read 5 malcolms out of 5

Book stores seem to not be around as much these days with such a easy access to internet book stores or sellers. I love to browse book stores when I see them. This place is huge with 2 levels of books and magazines and everything in between.

Went here for the first time yesterday and was mesmerized by the huge variety of genres they offer. I wish we lived in the area so we could visit here all of the time! The staff was very friendly too. We could have spent all day here!

Cool place with lots of books in a old historic building with multiple levels.

We happened upon this bookstore while walking the quaint shops of Pearl Street. It truly surprised us as we went in and found a beautiful, local bookstore in the most fitting historic setting! Upon entry, you are greeted by an associate who clearly explains the guidelines that are being taken by the store in relation to COVID-19 - they even do a temperature screening before you are allowed to enter. THANK YOU to this wonderful store for keeping your community safe!

Wow... what an overwhelming amount of books. Three floors filled with multiple rooms, shelves, and tables of books. Truly a remarkably large space that you dont expect from the outside looking in. The classic book store had classical music softly humming in the background and is located in the middle of the chic tourist hub, Pearl St. The books are pricy, but the store offers a large sale section per floor. I found two books from the sale section that I liked along with a book light. I am very disapointed with the book light. It glitches a lotttt. Overall, the place is a relaxing environment that I will probably go back to.

Really great vibe, very cozy! Their COVID set up is ok. Theyve done what they can for how right the aisles are. I wouldnt go in if there are more than a few people milling about though, there just isnt much space no matter how good everything else they do is.

Excellent selection and superb staff

My husband and I happened to find this bookstore while visiting Pearl Street. Needless to say, I was pleasantly surprised and extremely overjoyed to have found this place. We went inside and was expecting to spend a few minutes and then leave. Boy were we wrong. No, we spent two hours here. We were completely in awe and ended up leaving with so many books that I cannot wait to get home to read. We will definitely be making a special trip back to Boulder Bookstore on our next trip to Colorado.

I really like this library. The layout inside is very spacious and it has an ample variety of books. They have an indoor conn that acts as a bridge, a cafe is in it so theres a lovely view to the river. They have free parking all day during the weekends and its conveniently next to Central Park.

Love this bookstore. One of my all time favorites. Excellent selection and the staff was very nice. I feel like they are taking the virus very seriously, which made me feel better.

Love the climate and the precautions theyre currently taking. I also enjoy the employees getting excited when I ask about a book and then hurry to recommended multiple more authors that I might like. Prices are noticeably higher than youll find online, but I think its more than worth the price to support them.

Enormous collection. Great old-fashioned bookstore. Nice place to hangout, check out some newer material. Fairly decent used books collection as well. The traffic was directed one way due to COVID so it was a bit tricky at times to understand how to get around the different sections.
