Besides being an amazing school, this store is well organized and the the staff are great! Quick example: We wanted to get a pair of sweats in a size we didnt see in the rack and they confirmed in their system that 1 should be available...so they pulled it from storage for us.

Prices are way to high for every conceivable item. If youre looking for CU merch just get it on Amazon. Their book prices are also ridiculous and the process for ordering is a mess. Be sure to get any required reading books you can in Amazon rather than at the CU bookstore because there is always a huge delay in receiving your order where Amazon can have it to you in a couple days rather than weeks. Other than that, it does have some convenient items if you can stomach the price on a college budget.

The University is ginormous. Extremely clean, spacious and very beautiful. We drove there to see my B-I-Ls old stomping grounds & to show my nephew that it is an option for him when hes ready.

Really cool campus shop and the size of a solid sized state schools. It was clean and the staff were friendly.

Baby clothes are overpriced ($30 for a onesie?) but the clearance section typically slaps.

Theres all kinds of CU gear, Ive heard complaints about the staff but Ive never had a problem with them. Strongly recommend buying books and stationery outside as theyre really pricey.

The campus sits up against the mountains and the views are phenomenal. The tour of the school was exceptional and my wife and I feel more comfortable knowing where our son will be. All of the people were very friendly and helpful and the bookstore was amazing. The first floor is cool enough but the second floor is where you really need to go. It is massive and there are unique gifts for purchase downstairs.

Did not have everything I was looking for (no CU mom mug) and selection of ornaments was only so-so. But did find other items and they were of good quality.

Solid book store for a university of the size. The prices are pretty standard from what you would expect from a large university’s book store. Occasionally they have very good items on clearance in the back of the store that served as my source of clothes for about 3/4 of my college career. The discounts can be REALLY good if you like certain “sportswear” type items. The lines for returning bookings generally aren’t that bad, even during the most heavy of days. Usually they have the books that are needed for classes but sometimes they do run out but usually your professor will understand and work around the situation until the book is back in the store.

Kudos to the tour guide and the friendly staff at CU. I had the fortune to attend the parents orientation and I was very please with what I saw. One of my favorite parts was when parents and youngster were split into two different conference rooms and parents had the opportunity to ask anything to a panel of students from freshman to senior and in between. The questions were very good but even better where the answer from the student prospective. Feeling blessed.

Generally it has everything we students need for school, and its good to get books or supplies in a pinch. Theres also free popcorn which is awesome! But generally everything there is too expensive and I would recommend getting school books and merchandise elsewhere if possible.

You know, its one of the only places you can get top end Boulder Products. Of course, being a college store its expensive so what I suggest is getting a rich roommate, convince them they need to buy jackets and hats(because its the hip thing to do). You do this all year long until its almost time.to move out of the dorm, and then once your about to go take the goods that you want and leave the rest.........In all honesty tho, very nice store. Clean. Scholarly. The whole shabam.

I love this campus, the beautiful old buildings make me jealous of all the students. I never went to school here, but come annually for the conferences on world affairs and am very thankful for this campus and its amazing contribution to our lives and so much more.

Love the Boulder campus. Went to school there, starting in 1967 (50 years ago). Walked over whole campus today with friends from back then. Even got a look at old freshman dorm rooms. Dynamic University with great vitality and reputation. Proud of my school!!!

This is a beautiful campus: buildings, grounds and views are spectacular. Many friendly faces and energetic faculty, staff, and students. An amazing place.

Pretty over priced for the things that they have. Some of their CU merchandise is cool but wouldnt recommend getting text books here. You can usually find them online and they have a terrible return policy here. Also the managers dont ever bend the rules. They need to learn the first rule of customer service: the customer is always right.

Never using again. Rented me a textbook in horrible condition and then made me buy it from them at the end of semester because [they] dont rent out books in this condition. what a joke. I mean really? Make me pay rental price and THEN charge me to buy it? Dont punish me because of incompetence on your end. Amazon it is next year. This place is a joke.EDIT: I was contacted by staff and I have been refunded the amount they charged me to buy the book. He was friendly and eager to help and gave a worthwhile point of view in defense of the bookstore. I am grateful that he reached out to me.

This bookstore is in cooperation with many known apparel and stationary companies to jointly publish products that carry both the merchandise and CU Boulders brands. The selection of cobranding partners are comprehensive and popular. In addition, one can find essential tools for notes taking such as Uniball Jetstream ballpoint pen to Moleskine hard cover notebook. Of course, it also sells textbooks. The only thing that seems to be insufficiently stocked for a bookstore is books. The only books it stocks are textbooks which are stored in a secured storage room. Amazon is perhaps the better alternative to buy books these days.

Beautiful, great school

I ordered my books online for in store pick up and it took them two weeks to have them ready for pick up. I went in numerous times to ask about the status of my order, and each time they said that they would be ready later that day. Finally I was able to get ahold of someone who was higher up than the floor employees and they got my order ready that day and were very respectful, helpful and nice. It made the experience better and they said they will fix this problem in the future.

Not to be mistaken for the Colorado Book Store.CU Bookstore is owned by the University, obviously since its inside the UMC, unlike the Colorado Book Store which is on The Hill.Most of the store has been renovated a few years ago when they built the new add on in the UMC. They have probably the most CU memorabilia you can find in Boulder. So its definitely a good place to go to find souvenirs for your family or just CU stuff for you room.They also will have all the books you will need for class there because your professors send them all their books that they will require you to buy that year.F.Y.I., dont try to steal anything there. I used to work there, and their security team is awesome there, they catch a few people a DAY stealing.

I returned my rental books 1 day late and was told by the STAFF working there that I was going to be given store credit and did not have to pay for the books. However, I received an email from the school claiming I was late to pay my tuition fee for those books and was charged not only a late fee, but a finance fee as well! When I got ahold of the person in charge they simply told me that this is the policy and I have to pay the entire $280 and was SUPPOSED to be given a gift card for store credit. Not only do I owe $15+ for their miscommunication to me, but I was never even told or given a gift card for the amount.

Super disappointed since I have been a loyal customer for many years. I had to pay full price for a rented book that had water damage even though that is exactly how I received it at the beginning of the semester. They already charge way too much as it is and to make me pay for damage I didnt do is insulting. Guess Im not coming back again.

One of the worst book stores I have been to. Employees are not helpful, usually standing around talking to each other. They charged full price for a rental that was in almost perfect condition because it had a smudge on the top that would have erased. Much easier to use Amazon than deal with these idiots.

First off, CUs books are always over priced. But I was compelled to write a review after returning a book that I bought the other day because I ended up not needing it. Upon requesting to not to receive a store credit of $140, the supervisor told me fairly offensively that I could only receive a store credit and not cash.After pleading for cash rather than a store credit, and stating that I would not ever use the credit because I had already bought my books, she replied, well in 16 weeks youll need to buy more. That comment was absurd to me, seeing how $140 is a lot of cash for a broke college student. And now that $140 will remain stagnant in my wallet for a whole semester.We pay an arm and a leg to go to go here, start treating us with respect CU.

Any sane person will NOT buy ANY textbook from this place. ALWAYS GO ONLINE and you will find EVERY textbook cheaper than those sold in CU Bookstore.Also, they re-buy brand new textbook back with only 10% of the original price: e.g. if you want to sell them a brand new book you buy from them at the price $70, they will only pay you $7 to buy it back.

Quality education? Doubtful. Rampant drug and alcohol abuse? Yes, indeed.
