The folks at Boulder Hybrids are great at what they do and they charge a fair price. Ive had terrible experience with Toyota and with mechanics who dont specialize in hybrids...I *highly* recommend these guys for hybrid repair/service! I recently had my auxiliary (start up) battery die and they squeezed me in the next morning and got it done in 20 minutes. Ill definitely be going back to replace the main hybrid battery: theyre quoted price was nearly half of Toyotas! My other experience have all been excellent.

I went to Boulder Hybrids on a friends enthusiastic recommendation, to have a catalytic converter shield installed. Everything was great: friendly front desk and the work was completed more quickly than they said. I said I wanted to go for a walk while I was waiting and the front desk man was very helpful in guiding me to a nearby and beautiful wetland that I would not have found without his directions. Everything was perfect and I am now changing from my previous Prius place to Boulder Hybrids!

Paul was as professional as they get. I felt that the work he and his crew performed was top notch, at affordable prices. If you have a hybrid in the front range this is the business to take it too!

Fantastic service - quick, reasonable, personable. 10/10 Would recommend. I had a nail that had gotten into one of my tires and the little inflation stem things had gotten a bit loose and leaky and they had me in and out and fixed up while I waited maybe 20 minutes. And reasonable prices too!

Replaced the ABS pump actuator. It was making a lot of noise. These guys worked with me on getting our vehicle in fast and completed quickly. they warranty the work for a year that makes me relieved. I heard the sound again once but I will have to keep my ears open. Very happy with these guys. I would recommend them for your Hybrid service. :)

My 2007 prius had a headlight issue (keep turning off after being on). I had received estimates from another shop and was told it could cost between $300-500. So glad I went to these guys, they were super friendly and way more affordable and knowledgable. Will definitely be taking my Prius here from now on.

Paul, the owner is so great! He is so honest and hard working. When I was traveling and had issues with the battery he told me what to do over the phone and recommended a nearby Prius repair shop in California at no charge. I highly recommend this business for all your hybrid repairs and maintenance.

I WILL BE BACK! I am very happy with the work done and the cost! I was even surprised that the cost of the job was lower than predicted! That doesnt happen very often these days. The only drawback is that the waiting area for customers could be better., and the car wasnt treated with kid gloves (carpet a little dirty, an odor of auto fluid). But these are auxiliary items, and I definitely will return for service in spite of the minor inconvenience.

Boulder Hybrids did a top-notch job replacing my C-MAX Energi transmission (a dreaded first-year-model problem that finally happened to me). Sammi was super-responsive in helping me schedule and track the repair. The shop clearly knows hybrids, as well as plug-in hybrids like mine, and the technician was conscientious enough to catch and replace a fraying wire at no added expense. The cost was quite reasonable for the scope of the job. My car is running like a champ now. Very much appreciate the professionalism and skill of Boulder Hybrids!

Tl;dr, This is a no BS, fully legit shop.Boulder Hybrids was recommended to us for a Prius Offroad lift kit installation. We were very happy with their work and its no wonder they have a 4.9 rating. The prices they charged were extremely reasonable and in fact I was shocked when they only charged me $162 for replacing the sway bars which had rusted and required cutting to remove. They only charged me for 2 hours labor on the lift kit which seemed very low considering what the installation video looked like (and why I didnt do the work myself). Overall these folks were great to work with. They delivered what they said theyd do when they said they would deliver it so what more could I ask for?

They even were able to install a catalytic converter shield on my Prius when I had just brought it in for an oil change.

Paul is a straight up honest guy which is rare to find in the auto service industry. Prices are generally lower than a dealership as well. Trust him. Also, a big bonus is usually you can get a loaner car if needed...not guaranteed but usually :)

I purchased a 2011 Prius from Boulder Hybrids based on the consistently superb ratings this shop gets from its customers. I am extremely happy with my decision. Dave, the salesman, and Paul, the owner, were easy to work with and very up front on the history and details of the car. After the purchase I left the car at the shop so that Paul and his guys could swap out the stock radio for a new one that comes with more modern features, upgraded speakers and a backup camera. Their work was excellent and fairly priced. The bottom line is I am sold on Boulder Hybrids. I own two other Prius’s and will rely on Paul and his guys for any future repairs. It’s very reassuring to find an honest auto repair shop that does great work for a reasonable price and stands behind what they do.

Excellent service. The original work estimate included replacing the tie rod ends. They called me and asked why I had requested that. I told them that had been on a previous service record. They told me that the tie rod ends did not need to be replaced and that everything was fine. This saved me $300. The do the work needed not the work to get more money from a customer.

I visited Boulder Hybrids for a battery/starting problem. They diagnosed the problem and tested the battery immediately, then advised me on the options. I chose to replace the battery (7 yrs old) and they put in a new one in about 15 minutes. Hybrids have a small starter battery that isnt stocked by most repair shops. I was very have the service and would go back for other types of repairs on my hybrid Lexus CT100h.

Boulder Hybrids had a less expensive price for a 12V battery installed than any other place. But they tested the battery first and said it was good, instead of charging me for something I didnt need.

Had BH install a Discharge Ready Car Harness for a battery Prolong Deluxe Reconditioning Package purchased and they knew exactly what do to install the harness.

Very honest mechanics and theyll walk you through all the steps. They didnt recommend a service I didnt need and were quick. I got multiple quotes and for a shop that specializes in Hybrids and Priuss, their price is excellent.Update: I continously go back to the shop for whatever issues I may need help with. Paul, the owner, is always nice and helpful. If youre a garage mechanic hell help you out too.

Boulder Hybrids is the absolute best mechanic Ive ever had...sorry to my best friends uncle who used to do my cars!We trust them completely for our hybrid and electric vehicles. The value is excellent, they are fast, and I love the new location (take a walk across the street to the little open space!). They know the ins and outs of each vehicles hybrid or pure ev batteries so are much faster in diagnosing problems than a mechanic that works on just any car. I love how they give you a choice of new or refurbished parts, adding to the green aspect of owning a hybrid/ev. They are generous giving advice about maintenance and purchases (and also have a lot of used green cars for sale). They dont waste your money with a over the top fancy waiting room and all that nonsense. Easily accessible by the Jump RTD bus.I had to take my car into the dealer for a recall software update and it took the dealer 3 hours (?!?!)...meanwhile Boulder Hybrids did a full oil change, various other routine maintenance, pre-trip check, tire tuning, and fixed a weird noise in less than 1.5 hours. It was a nice reminder just how much Boulder Hybrids spoils us!The owner Paul and his staff are truly passionate about greener vehicles and will help you take care of everything from a classic Prius to a Tesla.

Ive owned my 2005 Toyota Prius for about 2.5 years now, and Ive used Boulder Hybrids for a majority of that time. Paul and his staff are so very knowledgeable, kind, and very fair in pricing. There has never been a time when they couldnt come through, even last minute. Two weeks ago, I got a flat and needed a very quick fix until I could get a new set of tires. Paul loaned me a full-size spare for a week at no cost and had it swapped in 5 minutes. The full tire change came next and they had me in and out in 1.5 hours. They are so fast, but I trust they dont miss a thing. Paul is also very honest about what needs to be done. He talked me out of an unnecessary AC diagnostic test - just $150 bucks. He believes is making your dollar stretch, and will never recommend something that doesnt have to be done. I would literally have my car towed to them no matter the problem. Great work!

Boulder Hybrid is the best. They took care of a repair that I was quoted hundreds and then thousands to fix for $80. They are honest, excellent at what they do and really good, nice people.Boulder Hybrid does everything (I didnt know this) including tires.Cant recommend them enough.

Prius Catalytic converter at 200K miles / 16 years. Should have been replaced on the 1st repair, but after another 2500 miles it was worth the labor to confirm the converter was plugged & needed replacement before CO flips over to CA converter specifications. The universal converter is probably without warranty due to oil consumption, and clearly not under a Toyota authorized warranty repair 8 year / 80,000 mile warranty. Good bargain on rear exhaust parts that also needed replacement.

Boulder Hybrid fixed the problem that made my 2005 Prius fail the required registration renewal emissions test, then took my car to the get retested, which passed, saving me from having to get it retested. Boulder Hybrid explained that I could then go to a kiosk at the DMV because the emissions test had been passed, and I didnt have to wait to get the renewal completed.In addition, I asked to have my rear bumper repainted. Upon investigation, Boulder Hybrid found that the bumper had been damaged, so replaced it with another bumper, only charging for labor.I wanted to pick up my car after hours, which Boulder Hybrid made painlessly easy.Continued excellent and creative service. Boulder Hybrid truly knows Priuses better than Toyota, charges less, takes less time, provides personalized service and loaner cars when available, and goes the extra distance for its customers. I highly recommend Boulder Hybrid.

I had my catalytic converter (Cat) stolen. My Prius was towed up to Boulder and they replaced the Cat. They also installed a Cat Shield. It’ll help reduce the likelihood of future theft. It cost about $300 installed, which wasn’t covered by insurance. After I drove from Denver to Boulder to pick it up, I found out it was installed wrong and rattled badly.From there, they made a five-star effort to resolve the situation. They paid for my rental car ($200) to get back to Denver and replace the Prius for a couple of days. They drove the Prius down to near my house in Denver. It works fine now and I’m happy with the outcome.
