One of my tires had extremely low air so I started calling around to tire shops to get it dealt with. J & S was the shop I chose due to short wait times and proximity from my home. They were very friendly over the phone and fixed my tire in under an hour, which is 3-4 hours shorter than the other shops quoted me. It was a super easy process and the price was very reasonable. I highly recommend you using this shop for your car’s needs, as they are honest and reasonably priced compared to the plethora of shops in the Boulder area.

I love the team here. They always do there best to accommodate and get to the point of things. Help desk people have been there a long time and are very knowledgeable. The office dog is supper sweet. The waiting room is stocked with snacks, drinks and is very cozy. My office brings our fleet here. They have been able to correctly diagnose issues when dealers misdiagnosed the same problem, potentially costing thousands more. There can be a wait to get an appointment but that just shows the type of work they do. The coffee place in the next parking lot rocks too.

What a great shop! Fast and honest. I thought I might need a new battery and new tires but they fixed my flat and charged my battery. My bill was $43! Dawna in the office is so nice and helpful. I’m really impressed!

Our company has been using J&S for some time now and they do great work. Weve only needed tire services from them, but they are quick and affordable. I came in once to have a punctured trailer tire replaced but they said it could be patched to save me money. Not many places are willing to save you money when its safe to patch. In October I went here to see if I needed new brake pads. I was told they were only worn down half way. The squeaking they were making had stopped so I thought everything was fine. Yesterday I took my car in for making horrible screeching sounds. It turns out my brakes wore down metal to metal. Now I had to pay for the brake pads, new rotors, and the extra services that had to be done, and was charged for another consultation. I had been trying avoid this in October but I had no idea how long brake pads could last. I thought mechanics would know better than me. They told me they could only guess how long itll take for brakes to ware down even though 4,000 miles was surprising even to them. So I should just guess next time and save myself the fee? They ended up feeling a bit bad and took $20 off... of $500. Thanks. I was so excited to have an auto repair shop I could trust where everyone was really nice. They are nice, but this happened.

Cannot say enough good things about the outstanding team at J&S. I moved into the area 2 years ago and after trying a few shops before this one, I can say I wont go anywhere else. Donna and Craig do an outstanding job at managing this business. They have never tried to sell me anything I dont need and often times say you dont need to do this now, but keep an eye on it. Its hard to find honest, fairly priced shops, let alone a team who truly cares about each customer. They also provide a shuttle in the morning to take you to work if you drop your car off in the morning. They truly do it all!

I drive by here on my way to work everyday so when my check engine light came on and my car started sputtering, I took it here. The lobby is nice and clean and everyone I interacted with was really nice. I left my car for the day to have them work on it, they indentified the problem and fixed it. They also did an overall vehicle check to let me know what else I should have done, they werent pushy at all about doing anything extra. I will for sure be taking my vehicle back for any maintenance or repairs I might need in the future.

These people are awesome! I went in for an oil change and they did so much more. Complete service with a great, knowledgeable and friendly team. They checked out my recently purchased used car and did a complete oil change and checked all fluids. They also said they usually rotate tires with the oil change, but mine looked good. Its so hard to find trustworthy and thorough mechanics anymore, so I will definitely go back to them.

J&S came highly recommended and now I know why. I called for an emergent repair; got an appointment the next day and work was completed quickly at a competitive price. Ive been taking both my car and my wifes car here for years with no complaints. They do honest, quality work in a timely manner for a reasonable price. Quick anecdote: I had squealing coming from my right front wheel on a car with 75k miles on it. I thought a hub or bearing was starting to go and was dreading the cost. Instead they found a rock wedged in there and removed it. Thats a good example of their honest work.

Super nice and helpful when our car wouldn’t start! These guys kindly charged our battery overnight. Will definitely be back when we need to buy something for the car 🙂

Came in today looking for 4 screws/bolts - I gave VERY shoddy guidelines as to what I needed and 30 seconds later they came out with the hardware that ended up being perfect. The staff was refreshingly friendly and warm, as helpful as could be, and legitimately seemed happy to help - great customer service means almost everything to me, Im no mechanic so I cant speak for the quality of their work on cars, but I will absolutely go out of my way to bring mine in for any applicable needs in the future. Clean place, water (hot or cold) and candy while you wait, (tea I think too?) plenty of space, great place, great people.

Cant say a bad thing about these guys. Great work, good prices, and the best customer service youll find anywhere. I feel good that I wont be urged to get an unnecessary, expensive repair and they give you honest opinions when you need to make a decision. We used to live across the street, then moved about 25 minutes away. I still take our vehicles here even though there are other mechanics nearby. Dawna always remembers us when we come in! Great people.

Finally found somewhere in Boulder County that I feel is trustworthy, and its only 5 blocks away from me. Ive taken my truck to several different shops and its always been a hassle either getting ahold of them for updates or theyve kept my vehicle for weeks on end. J&S Auto gave me a fair quote and a two day turnaround. Definitely will be coming back.

I have always gone to Grease Monkey in Boulder. I opted to give J&S a shot when I moved to Gunbarrel. They did a standard oil change, service was good. However, they never reset my sensor so it continually said I needed an oil change after the service was completed. Not that big of a deal, but when I went to Grease Monkey today they asked who completed my last oil change because my drain plug was severely rounded, difficult to get out and it was obvious whoever did my last oil change used the wrong tool. I will stick with Grease Monkey in the future.

3/30/18 - Brought car in for front wheels re-balance only. One side was rotated front to back (I have different tires on the back, so it was obvious), the hub caps were put on wrong, the steering was covered in grease upon return, and the lug nuts were over-torqued with an impact, and was charged 32 dollars for just two wheels being re-balance.

Dawna and Craig and the rest of the crew deliver great service. We take all of our vehicles to them for service.

Mazda dealership wanted over $320 to complete a simple transmission flush on my car.I had J & S do the same job in addition do a differential flush on my other vehicle and still paid less in the end. They even rotated my tires for free. With the left over money I almost bought a case of beer for everyone since its a 100 degree Friday lol.Thank you guys for having competitive prices, courtesy and keeping me on the road. Plan to use you guys again in a few months to winterize both cars.

I have been a customer of J & S Automotive for well over 20 years. I have had excellent service and have never had to return for any problem. They are sensitive to my need to contain costs -- for example, a few years back they advised me that I didnt really need a $2000 repair because my driving didnt warrant it. They could just as easily have told me I needed it done. Both my Buick and I are aging and they look out for both of us. People whove had only one encounter might post a negative review, but long-time customers are likely to be better informed. When Im at the counter in the shop I see many return customers, so my experience would not seem to be unique.

Went to get an alignment for my brand new truck, which I leveled. Drove straight before and after the leveling install. Called 2 days in advance to make an appointment. Dropped my car off half an hour before the appointment was scheduled. Was told it would only take one hour. Came back an hour after the scheduled appointment time (so 1.5 hours later) was greeted by Todd in a very rude manner.... and had to wait another half hour until they handed over my truck. Drove away and noticed it now veered to the right, a good amount too. So now I have to take the car back and loose another hour of my time. I called them and told them about my experience. They said they would get it fixed ASAP. I brought it to them during my lunch break the next day. When I came to pick it up they were taking to for a test drive and whoever was driving it was driving it like he stole it, very recklessly, I watched him skid it to a stop (on brand new tires) and then floored it. This was the last straw. If they wouldnt have done that I would be been willing to give them another chance.Overall they got it fixed but thats it. If they wanted to keep their customer for future fixes they could have done more. And if I want my truck driven recklessly I will take care of that myself. I wont be coming back to this place.Would not recommend this placeOn the bright side,The only good part of this place is Donna, very kind, helpful, and committed.

Took my 2013 Tacoma there on 1/4/18 to get the headlights adjusted. I was told they could not be adjusted because the adjuster was broken and i needed to replace both headlight assemblies at a cost of $683.38 so i declined that. Took my truck to Toyota dealer, tech found nothing wrong with the adjusters and adjusted my headlights for just $65. I asked the tech if there was anything broken or missing from either assembly and he said no.
