Had a great experience finding a gift for my husband. I walked into this store not really sure what to expect and was pleasantly surprised by the quality and variety of prints.Customer service was great, they took the time to explain their shop policies to me and did not try to rush my decision (15% off custom framing after you buy the print from them, and ability to exchange vintage original prints later if needed). I loved a vintage f1 print but at the high price point I wasn’t sure that I should get it. I feel that normal shops would have tried to convince me to get the expensive print. Instead, they told me that they could make a custom reproduction of the print! It was $30 and was ready within a couple hours to pick up. The husband loves his new print and we will be returning for more to make a set. Thank you!
Amazing store! Lots of interesting finds! I highly recommend stopping in to explore! Also, the staff is extremely helpful & kind.SUPPORT LOCAL BUSINESSES.
Love to see all the different things this store has to offer. I go there everythime Im in Boulder!
Great shop for unique pieces. Shop owner is very friendly and engaging.
Nice enough prints. Very pricey though. Cards are $4? Sheesh.
Our Pearl Street exploration began with a stop in this exceptional store. We weren’t sure what to expect, but we entered into a fascinating world of art and vintage maps! The selections offered were extensive and impressive. If you find yourself meandering this part of Boulder, I highly recommend a stop here!
Had 4 pics framed. Very reasonable and they did an excellent job. Ill definitely be using them again!
Awesome place. I could’ve spent a couple hours in there. Can’t wait to look online.
Very interesting products, we bought educational puzzles for our toddler.
Lovely selection of pictures, posters and maps, either framed or not. If you want to go in, spare this store an hour and it will not disappoint. You can find beautiful things without necessarily having to spend a fortune. The staff was super nice and helpful.
Really cool art certainly worth a look.
Such a cool shop. Any map you can imagine.
Stopped in a few months back and had a great experience, very impressed at the selection available. Found a map I knew would be perfect for a wedding gift...and somehow talked myself out of buying before flying back home. Two months later and I still couldn’t get it out of my head! I ended up calling directly one afternoon and got a hold of the owner, George, who took my description and miraculously tracked down the piece. The customer service was unmatched and I had the map in hand three days later. Cannot give enough positive feedback on this business and its helpful team! Thanks again George!
Pretty dece
If you want to find unique prints or get any custom framing done, this is the place! Great, friendly, and very helpful staff.
The ONLY place to get your art framed! These magic folks specialize in pairing frames with art to complement the art, which is a true art form in itself. Ask for Eric, he is the MAN!
The employees are very helpful.
These guys do many of their prints in-house with a modest selection from local artists
One of my favorite Boulder businesses for decades. (Yes, I grew up in Boulder!) Whenever Im home this is one of my first stops. I have always encountered helpful and courteous customer service and never perceived their holding my purchases behind the counter until Im finished shopping as racially motivated (Im half Greek/ half Mexican and LOOK it!). Businesses downtown and on the Hill have fallen victim to many grab n run crimes--Its the reality of living in a college town that has a wild spirit all around. Local merchants lose hundreds of thousands of dollars to shoplifters every year. Shamefully, I had childhood friends that shoplifted and most were from well heeled families. It was a sport for them and, thank goodness, I never engaged. My first retail job was a little boutique on the Hill in 1967 called The Roes; that job enabled me to do the layaway thing when I wanted something my parents wouldnt spring for! Part of the job involved keeping a watchful eye out for shoplifters, no matter WHO they were. Kudos to George and his staff at Art Source for surviving as a local, Boulder retailer!!! PLEASE SUPPORT LOCAL MERCHANTS!!!
Really great pieces at great prices. Very unique selection.
Friendly and knowledgeable staff helped design a frame for an antique map
Great place to find at prints for framing or already framed prints. Lots of fun to search through the different stacks. Prices range from very affordable for the smaller stuff to very high on the rare or big stuff so theres something for everyone.
Interesting little art store to visit. It specializes in antique maps, old photos, and vintage posters but also has a selection of more modern artwork. Offers framing services and has some high-end globes for sale as well.
George and his team are the best in the biz.
Great place to purchase unique maps, posters and art.
The most professional framers around. I even received a hand-written thank you note from them after I had a picture framed by them recently, and that is exactly why I will be back again soon. Thanks!
Just had a picture framed here. They were creative in the options and gave me a great price for the work done. Quality was excellent and they were so lovely to work with. Cant say enough good things about their work!
I was in town with my black girlfriend, and wanted to show her the sights. She saw this store on Pearl St., saw a map she liked, and we were walking through the store for other things we liked. I had a map in my hand, and she had hers. The woman behind the counter demanded that she hold my girlfriends map, for safekeeping. It was a $15 map.Racism. Pure and simple. My more expensive map was safe in my hands, but hers was at risk of walking out.Racism.
Lots of fun and original things in this store! Especially for people who love Colorado:)
The best in town. Truely experienced staff. Excellent customer service.
Wonderful selection of prints and maps, and top notch framing services.
As a map junkie I was thrilled to find this place. As someone who likes prices within the realm of reality and shopping at places where the staff isnt overtly rude and actively trying to avoid interacting with you, I was extremely disappointed by both visits Ive made here.
Most obnoxious staff imaginable. Nice, eclectic selection. Truly heinous atmosphere. Im really mystified about the overtly rude and unhelpful behavior of the staff I encountered. Wont go back. There are much more enjoyable places to view and acquire artwork.
Great selection of 30,000+ maps and recreations. Most genuine antiques are expensive ($300+) but the woman who helped us explained they can make custom size replicas of any antique map for much more reasonable prices ($20-$50).
Cool stuff if you like prints, maps, movies, and signs.
Great select, helpful staff, Ive had an experience every time Ive walked into this store.
