Siesta everyday from 2-3. Problem is I showed up at 3 pm and the didn’t come back. Still waiting and it’s 3:45. So unprofessional to run a business this way. There were about 6 or more customers that waited and left. Poor customer service.

A wonderful tour and service that is a must for tourists! Austin (rhymes with Boston) was fun, understanding, and informative. After the tour, he even gave restaurant recommendations. He learned the names of everyone on the tour and made it feel really personal. The other guides also seemed great, but Im glad my group got Austin! The tour itself goes through lots of Boston neighborhoods, so you get to see a little bit of everything. Although I had already walked around Boston a lot before the bike tour, riding around on through the streets in the city gave a whole new perspective. For anyone looking for a quick, fun activity to see lots of Boston at once, this is a must!

Rented 2 Jake the Snake gravel bikes. Great way to get around Boston especially on the Charles River Greenway. Great experience!

First off, I want to call out Aaron for his excellent customer service. I had rented a city bike online and stopped in the shop the day before to change my rental to a gravel bike. Aaron was friendly and helpful and I was able to update with no problem.As for the day of the rental, a group of us had reserved bikes in advance as we were coming in from all over the country. 10 of us were renting bike. Speaking for myself, I had told Aaron that a group of us were going to be arriving at 9 am to pick up bikes (a combination of gravel, road and ebikes). It was obvious when we got to the shop, that there was a tour going out at the same time as we were. However, staffing was overwhelmed and the service was chaotic. A gentleman that I presume was the manager and or the owner was short tempered and rude quite frankly. He took his frustrations out on us which was poor customer relations. As a group, we were spending quite a bit on the day rental and the attitude was so poor from this man, we were still talking about it hours later.I would highly recommend streamlining your check in process and I would include a visual inspection of the bike that the customer had to sign off on.Ultimately, we enjoyed our day and our ride but it was in spite of the owner of Urban Adventours.Aaron, again thank you for your help. You were a bright spot in all of this.

Excellent tour! When we arrived we were greeted and fitted for our bikes. Clear instructions for how to safely ride, and where we were going, were given. The tour itself brought us through some of the neatest places in Boston. Beacon Hill, South End, River front, Copley place etc. Bob did an excellent job giving some good history/facts at each stop. My twin 12 year old boys loved it! Thank you for a great time!

Charles was our guide and he was excellent and so knowledgeable! We enjoyed seeing Boston on a bike! I would highly recommend this tour to anyone who wants to see the sights of Boston!

The employees were helpful and nice. The bikes were great quality. I loved that locks and helmets came with the rentals. I also loved how they provided a map with suggested routes. Will use them again

E-biking the Charles River Esplanade on a beautiful summer day in Boston was absolutely the best way to spend my birthday with my family. Wonderful views of Boston and Cambridge and the water in between. Our e-bikes had good brakes, smooth gear changes, and plenty of pedal assist when you needed it, plus comfortable bike helmets. I cannot recommend Urban AdvenTours highly enough. We have taken bike tours in many cities around the world, and I will admit I was nervous when I saw we were going to be 20 people on the tour with just three guides. How would we all be able to hear the guides? How would they help us all cross busy city streets? There was no need to worry. Charles, Mike and Jacob worked so hard to keep us all safe- their mastery of traffic control was impressive - and they gathered us all up on the stops so everybody could hear the history and stories. Plus they were fun and engaging. It was a totally and completely fantastic morning and the perfect way to see many parts of Boston that we never would have seen. THANK YOU SO MUCH!

My husband and I are avid recreational cyclists. Jacob accommodated us with bikes that fit well and made all necessary adjustments. Equipment is good quality. He made sure to explain the bike lanes and dedicated bike signals. Boston is surprisingly easy to navigate from the Atlantic Ave location to the Charles River Trail & on to the Minuteman Trail. Great service all around. Highly recommend Urban Adventours.

Had a great time cycling Boston with Urban AdvenTours. The guides are knowledgeable, love their city and share their passion. The bikes are also a great quality. We really enjoyed it and rented from them the next day to ride to Cambridge on our own.

Fantastic Emerald Necklace tour with Greg! The absolute best way to see Boston in all its beauty, and the guides are really knowledgeable and super concerned with everyones safety and comfort. We/I brought a group of students with varying levels of comfort on the bike, but Greg and Mike were really good about going at a nice pace and attending to everyone. We started in 90+ degree weather, then were caught in a giant rain storm, and then rode out the rest of the trip in truly glorious conditions (think: crisp, cool air, damp and mist rising up from the pavements everywhere and gorgeous late afternoon sun.) What an experience! Highly highly recommend.

Very organized and accommodating bike tour company. I’m a solo traveler and most places only take reservations of two or more. Urban took me solo. The tour guides Charles and Josh were excellent. You could hear them perfectly. The bikes were in excellent condition snd helmets were like new. They even took pics and downloaded them to each person. We were very excited to rent bikes with 4month old. So just to confirm we called ahead and asked if buggy would work for 4month old and trusted them. Upon reviewing the buggy it was too upright and seats wont recline. We asked for cancellation and they refused because of company policy. I mean about all the inconvenience we had to go through and not giving refund as well. They did offer credit but I dont want to do business with them. PS: the guy helping us setup bike was very nice but manager/owner was even not ready to talk which is crazy. I have disputed the transaction with credit card company because I did not avail any service and bike hop falsified information regarding child safety

On July 5th my husband and I did the City View bike Tour and truly enjoyed it. The tour was very well run. We did the tour on a Monday morning in June 2021, and it rained the entire time. But it was still awesome! Charles (our lead guide) was absolutely fantastic. A life-long Bostonian and former school teacher, his knowledge of the city, its neighborhoods, and history made it a rich experience. Definitely a great way to see Boston up close. Highly recommend.

Great Bicycle tour of Boston. We had an 8 year old (who rode on an attachment to an adult bike), a 9 year old and an 11 year old. All made it and did great. Guides were friendly and informative. Saw beautiful park and Boston scenery.

As an avid cyclist, I knew we needed to do a bike tour around the city during our visit! Our guide was absolutely awesome and went through the hand signals he would use, how to operate the bikes, route we would follow, and some key safety points for safe cycling. Even if this was your first time on a bike in a while, these guys will make sure your questions are answered and that you are safe!My wife opted for the e-bike option and absolutely loved it! We were on vacation and she didn’t want to turn this into a workout and the e-bike allowed her to leisurely cruise with the group. I would highly recommend the e-bike option to anyone who may have physical limitations or hesitant about the physical requirements of the ride. I can’t say enough good things about this tour, and would consider it a must for a visit to Boston!Only suggestion would be to allow stand alone e-bike/regular bike rentals for less than a full day. Maybe offer a half day, or 4hr. Thank you guys for the awesome tour!

Wow! The Urban Adventours Boston City View Bike Tour was perfect. Bob did a wonderful job of making all of us feel comfortable--no matter what skill level. We rode at a leisurely pace, which made for a beautiful few hours out and about on the city. We also stopped at some amazing spots both in the city and along the waterfront giving us some great photo opportunities. If you are worried about where to ride your bike in the city, this is the perfect way to do it without any worries. These guys will make it memorable for you!

FAR exceeded expectations. We did the city tour with our 16 and 11 year old boys. (They recommend for 13+ and I would agree, but our 11 year old is a competitive swimmer and very well traveled, so I think if you have one younger, but who is athletic, maybe...) The guides were fantastic, safety was absolutely paramount, and even though it got hot at the end of the tour, they stopped at just the right places and found every bit of shade.

Wonderful tour. The guides are very friendly and clear about the route. There are provided water bottles and bags to store your cell phone and wallet. They will hold any backpacks you have while on the tour. The bikes are in good repair and they make seat adjustments and help fit your bike to you. I would highly recommend this tour. It was informative and well paced.

Our tour of Boston with tour guide Greg was fantastic! We saw so many sights around Boston and he talked a little bit at each one. Gave us a great idea of places to see the next day like the house of Isabella Jack and Fenway Park. Loved our ride through Back Bay the most! The tour was about ten people and felt very safe as we had helmets and a pouch in the handlebars for our phones and water bottles. There was also a second guide riding at the back to make sure no one got separated. Great way to see a lot of Boston in a few hours. Will definitely return for when they offer a Cambridge tour.

This bike tour was a really fun way to see a lot of sights in Boston as we had only 1 day there. Everything was on time, the bikes were very nice and Greg was a fantastic guide! Highly recommend!

Both Greg and Miles were our guides as we pedaled around Boston and learned a little bit of history along the way.The bikes were comfortable and of really good quality for a group touring event.Both Greg and Miles provided some good background and interesting information with over 1000 tours “above their spokes” between them…I believe Greg had a few more than Miles 😉.This type of tour was easy pedaling all around the city, and although it started in dry conditions, we ran into a good bit of light, cool drizzle for the last half of the tour. If there is a chance of rain, it would be worth having the proper rain gear to maximize your comfort. Despite the raw weather, everyone in our group stayed positive and enjoyed the experience.Our hosts kept things light and took a lot of time to ensure everyone’s safety during the multiple street crossings on the route. This type of tour is best suited to an overview of the city and its major landmarks / attractions - you get to cover a good bit of the town and get exposed to both history and interesting sites along the way.The Urban A Team absolutely made the best of a difficult weather situation and we had a lot of fun despite the conditions. Well worth the cost and run by a really great team - would go again - especially on a sunny day!Greg and Cindy Register

This was such a wonderful experience and way to explore Boston. Our tour guide was incredibly knowledgeable. I am not one to be in shape but I didn’t struggle at all with the ebike. It was easy to use and there were plenty of stops to learn about Boston and get some energy.

Had a great ride with our tour guide Pell around the Emerald Necklace! My daughter and I had our own bikes but could have rented one if necessary. The shop had a water station available to fill up our bottles and pump for our tires if needed. We learned about lots of good stuff including why the T named the lines different colors! 🚴‍♀️🚴‍♂️

Review is long overdue. Bought a Kona Stinky TL from them back in 2011. Still an absolutely amazing bike. Had an amazing experience with them back then, and still am super happy with my bike.

We signed up for a bike tour since we couldnt find any walking tours with times that worked for us. Lucky for us, this tour was amazing. We rented e-bikes for the first time and toured around the entire city for 3 hours. We had great spring weather and learned so much about Boston, way beyond the Freedom Trail. Biking around the city was so easy and I highly recommend taking the guided tour to make the most of the trip!

Wow! What a fun way to explore Boston. Our your guides (who told us it was the first all-female tour crew) were amazing. The bike I had was very comfortable and well-maintained. We got to see so much of Boston and I loved learning about different things from people who both love to bike and love their city.

Great bike tour! I was able to see things I never would have otherwise been! The information presented on the tour by the guide was excellent as well. The bikes were in great shape and I am a very picky person used to high quality bikes at home. Way better than my rental in NYC.

I had an amazing tour with Greg as our guide! Everyone at the office was very helpful in making sure my bike and helmet fit properly. The tour itself was a great mix of biking and stopping to hear history and facts from Greg. We covered a good amount of ground to be able to see a bunch of different neighborhoods but we took plenty of breaks so the biking was not overwhelming. I would highly recommend doing the tour while in Boston!

I want to like this place. It’s in a cool location and they stock Kona bikes which is a huge plus in my book. I test rode a fat bike that had scuffs in the fork and a small chip in the paint on the down tube. I tried to make a deal but the shop wouldn’t take anything off the original MSRP of the bike. I was told that the bike was rented out once, which means it’s used and therefore should not be sold or advertised as new.Update: Very frustrating to read the lies stated by the owner under my review. While it is true that the Honzo was ready for me, the Wo was in the basement and I was not notified of it being a rental (have emails to prove this) The man showing the bike was extremely rude about showing me the bike to the point that I had to explicitly state that I was a serious buyer wanting to leave with the bike.Every shop around here offers free 90 day tunes and are still able to sell bikes at MSRP that don’t have chips in the paint (that’s not a minor cosmetic imperfection) My review has been downgraded to a 1 star review and I will never step foot in this place again or recommend to anyone else. I purchased a used Dew Plus from them last year and was about to purchase a second bike. They have instead lost a customer.

Couldnt recommend this place strongly enough. Ive been going here for all my repairs, rentals and general questions since last summer and Ive always had a great experience. Jeff in particular is very helpful but all the staff are great. Fantastic customer service, very knowledgeable, feels like you can ask them anything and theyll be able to answer it or at least point you in the right direction. Wish I could give 10 stars instead of 5.

Fun and smooth bike tour of Boston!

This review strictly pertains to service and sales. I asked this shop to repair a wheel spoke. After reinstalling the wheel, another spoke broke within one day of riding. I returned to the shop, and the mechanic told me that I should replace the wheel. This advice would have been great to receive prior to paying for repair service for my other wheel. Reluctantly I purchased a new rear wheel at a slight discount. I wish I had not. Again, within one day of light riding, the new wheel lost spoke tension. I had another mechanic inspect the wheel. The dish was off and the wheel was not true. I did not return to dispute because I am fed up with this place.

Bought one of their used bikes. It was in great condition and handled well. They were very friendly helping me adjust it and set it up with the attachments I bought. It came with a free bike tour too, which Ill be back for at some point!

I was riding bikes around with my family and friends and I noticed I had a flat tire. I googled the closest bike shop and this came up. I went there and picked up a tube than went outside of the store to fix the tube. When I was repairing the tube an employee came outside and yelled at me and my friends to get off the sidewalk. We respectively responded, “Okay” and moved. He moved over to the business nextdoor. The business next door was NOT owned by the same company. We went inside the business and ask someone inside if it is okay if we were to sit outside while we repair the tire. A lady inside kindly said it would be fine. We were putting the rim back on until, the same employee came outside and yelled and screamed at us to move somewhere else. We told the employee that we are in nobody’s way and that a lady inside said that it would be fine if we sat outside. He then told us we are never aloud back inside the bike store and flipped us off while he walked away. I would NEVER recommend this bike store to anyone.

My old single speed was in pretty rough shape. I brought it to these guys and now my bike is looking and riding like new. Thanks for speedy and excellence service!

The store owner tried Legally robbing me in the middle of the day while being extremely rude and event trying to walk out on me when confronted. One thing is clear I cant Not Recommend this place enough.

Ive just finished the 10 mile City View tour, and I cant imagine a better way to see the city of Boston.Some of the major attractions are sighted, with informative and interesting chats provided by the guides. Lee and Gary were fantastic, and know quite a lot about their city.

After the tour, we retained our bikes for the day and explored the Emerald Necklace chain of parks, and even navigated through Boston Friday rush hour traffic on our own. A great day with about 25 miles of beautiful biking!
