Delicious food amazing real New York bagels. Highly recommended

I’ve loved it here for years! They really have amazing bagels and bialy’s.I like to call ahead my order in the am, as it makes for an easy pick up and insures I get the fresh, yummy bialy’s. Also if you buy 12 bagels you always get 1 FREE❤️The staff here is also wonderful and super friendly always🙏🏼I also love to have my coffee here on Sunday’s!Just a great little breakfast place to enjoy your Sunday Bagel 🥯 and coffee!

I stopped in to grab breakfast after a shopping trip in the plaza. This is the kind of no frills, frequented by locals, type of establishment that I love. Bagels are based on a 140 year plus recipe developed by Moshe Zlotnicov from Kiev, Ukraine. The recipe was brought to the U.S. by his son Abraham who passed it on to his son and Samuel who passed it on to his son Norman who operates Bagel City with his wife and son-in-law. All bagels and pastries are baked fresh daily.It is not often you get to try a 150 year old bagel recipe so I ordered an everything bagel. It was delicious, crispy on the outside with all of the flavorful seasonings, and soft and doughy on the inside. I wish I had picked up some more to go. They serve breakfast and lunch and have indoor and outdoor seating. The pastries looked delicious and they had a refrigerator case stocked with hearty soups. I look forward to visiting again and trying more of the menu.

Call me crazy but this is not the proper way to pack a to go meal. Once I unearthed my mangled sandwich I confirmed what another reviewer stated - the lettuce was old, slimy, and disgusting. I had ordered a side of chicken noodle soup and had hoped to report that at least that was good. I spit it out the moment I tasted it. It was rancid! I want my money back and Im not even the one who paid, thats how bad this is. Go to Parkland Bagel instead. Its just down the road, same price range, delicious food.

2 large eggs home fry’s toast 6$ not bad so far so I ordered a egg n cheese muffin for the shoemaker next door no meat same 6$ what wack job is behind this kind of crazzy. How this joint hold on is unknown. The Olive Pit treats the shoemaker right. This review is all about how we treat one another and being friendly to one another, Not gouging people in business next door to you: that’s not good in any language .... post them as you find them ( kindness goes a long way)

For the most part, the closest thing to a New York bagel youll find in South Florida. Depends on the day and time, but theyre generally good. The other fare isnt bad either, but bagels are the main attraction. We usually go on the weekend as part of our errand routine. Sometimes you can get lucky and catch a fresh, got batch of plain bagels coming right out of the oven. Makes us miss Bagel Boss. Worth stopping by and trying them. Its a family owned business and theyre nice people, so its nice to support a local biz.

Staff is so nice but they clean the tables w dorty cloths. tell them to spray your table w a paper towel! Good food.

Place is clutch. Take it from a New Yorker. Always fresh and the only bagel spot I can find that has bagel twists. Their diner menu to sit down and order is very good also. Enjoy

I go here almost every sunday with my husband. Its nice to have a good deli right near us.

Its pretty ok. Everything was warm or cold for my boyfriend. He had to send back his waffle due to it being soggy and cold. He asked for his eggs over medium and ended up getting over well eggs. My potatoes were ok, kinda cold. Bagels were good. Over all if you were in a rush to just eat something its a good place.

Excellent breakfast place. The food is excellent, fresh, delicious and huge quantities at very reasonable costs. Large selection of fresh baked bagels and baked goods, all made in house. Eggs and hash browns made perfectly. Service was fast and friendly, tableside or walk up/order. Free parking.

Overall theyre not too bad, but their pricing is really high. I know its Boca and I expect some things to be higher pricing, but they dont balance it. For example, higher quantity of food for a higher price is okay, but they dont do that. Or great atmosphere for the higher price, but they dont do that. Go for the breakfast special.

Really nice bagel joint! Great service. Bagel with nova cream cheese side tomato, onion, cucumber, orange slice and coffee. A little over $10.00. Very busy take out counter andseating outside. A little pricey but good selection from breakfast foods to smoked fish great bakery, all kinds of salads such as tuna egg plus many others. Lots of kosher style foods. Good breakfast specials. Have been going to this place off and on for years. I forgot. Not only large selection of bagels. Bialys salt sticks and you know the rest.

Stay away during covid....Just had lunch there, staff were wearing masks however no gloves. I received a laminated menu that was not wiped down first. My outdoor table was wiped down with a dry towel. Condiments are on the table and not being wiped between seatings. When I asked to refill my water, my waitress Madeline grabbed my glass without gloves from where I put my mouth. Over the top of the glass. Not even the side of the glass. I followed her inside restaurant and paid my bill. When I pointed this out to who appeared to be the owner or manager, Medeline stated out loud those arent Palm Beach County guidelines. No I am sorry, the only comment made from the gentleman behind the counter was keep quiet to Madeline. A call was made to Boca Raton for their violation.

They ran out of oatmeal. Otherwise, I would have given them 5 stars.

Grossly overpriced. I bought a black and white cookie. And a small bottle of milk, ready for this........$5.80? Are you kidding me??? $3.00 for the same bottle of milk you can get at any gas station for $1.45!!!I also asked for a plain bagel with butter and jelly...... somehow that magically turned into a raisin bagel with cream cheese, what a great surprise that was when I got home, tossed it in the trash since I do not like either.The people are friendly....mostly. but this place is grossly over priced, and you dont get what you pay for.If you want average Jewish deli food, at ridiculous prices with small portions, well then this is your place to go!

I liven Boynton Beach so when I am in the area I stop by & pick up some bagels. One of these days Ill have to try the breakfast or lunch. I love the bagels here!!!

I dont know about you but when I get nostalgic for New York the best place in Boca is Bagel city. Mid afternoon on a Sunday and full to the brim with customers they still manage to sit you and with a smile on her face Mary took our order and before you know it your food is on your table.Always fresh and best of all delicious just like I was back in New York. I recommend Bagel city and when you get there say hello to Michael and be sure to tell him to hook you up. Happy eats. P.S. The Pastrami is great and worth the price.

9 dollars for a mediocre egg sandwich

Bagel City knows how to make quality bagels. Theyre fresh, they taste amazing, and theyre cooked perfectly. The price is reasonable, around the same price or less than some of the big bagel chains that you see at almost every corner. Its been a long time since Ive had a bagel of this caliber. If youve never had one of their bagels, you should try one soon!

My first time at this establishment for breakfast. The staff was friendly and attentive, we were seated quickly. The food is really good ! The bagels are fresh and soft, not hard like some other places. I had corned beef hash and eggs, I will definitely be returning for it in the future ! My girlfriend had chocolate chip pancakes, delicious ! I was always being asked if we needed anything or needed more coffee. Very clean inside, never saw a dirty plate or glass on a table for a few moments before it was swept up by a busser or server

The food might be good but...... I went in today to buy lox (salty), nova, chopped liver, whitefish salad, cream cheese and bagels. First thing out of the counter persons mouth when I started out the order with lox was, we dont have lox. I point to the side of lox in the case and said, you have a whole piece right there. His reply was, We are not cutting it, and he turned around and walked into the back. I left, never to return. So much for them as my go to place for deli food.

An awesome local place I somehow missed all these years. Staff was friendly and helpful, food was great, and the entire establishment had a warm homey feel.Will be back!

The sandwich was so small. $10.00 for a bagel with tuna and it couldnt have had 3 ounces if tuna on it. I mentioned it to the man behind the register, his response. Oh, thats a lot of tuna!The sandwich tastes good but for that price......at least give a portion that would entice someone to come back.

The worst bagel place ever. My detailed review of 5 years ago has been deleted somehow, here is is again (it is still posted on Yelp):Just awful service and food. I took my niece and her daughter there for breakfast recently and had about the worst service ever from a waitress who could have cared less about anything. I ordered scrambled eggs, they came out cold and, when I let her know, she gave me a dirty look, took them back, and just threw them in the microwave to heat them up (and made them uneatable). I told the owners at the register and they did....NOTHING other than ask me to give them another try. How about taking the price of the eggs off the check? Actually, Im glad they didnt or I wouldnt have written this review. As for the bagels, they arent very good either (Im an ex-NYer, I know a good bagel when I taste one). Very doughy, no real crustiness to speak of, and you can do better somewhere else. I live a few blocks away and will never walk in there again.

We have been going here for a few years. They recently reopened after a fire and full (much needed) renovation. The food is good as is the coffee. nothing here has jumped out as amazing. Will continue to go, definitely worth a try

Bagel City south on Southwest 18th Street in Boca Raton serves the best bagels in Florida, bar none! Expect to pay a little more money, but the service is excellent and the food is fresh and delicious. This is a real, very real, Jewish deli.

Good food, good service, you can even get a newspaper.

Day old onions, dirty leaf lettuce, fermenting tomato and two pieces of lox. Big oof. Not so great and the bagels werent much better. Id say find a different deli or go to publix for better.

Not going back. My fiancee and I were Sunday-morning regulars. This is a seat-yourself establishment and we prefer to sit up front. They refused to seat us in a front booth. The molasses-slow lady clearing the tables would not pick up a plate and two glasses to accommodate us. When she did, she did not even wipe the table. We caved and went to the back of the restaurant. Out of sight out of mind. We were never offered a coffee refill. My fiancee had to remove a live baby roach from the edge of her booth. There was another dead roach on the floor, maybe 5 away. Our server (Very nice. We tipped her 20%) apologized, saying they always had a problem with roaches. The gentleman checking us out may be the owner. As usual, he never asked if everything was okay and pitched my credit card on the counter. Hes done this before. His shi**y attitude has trickled all the way down to the people who clear the tables. You guys lost a customer.

I go here for breakfast and am never disappointed. Whether its bagels, eggs, french toast, pancakes, oatmeal - or a combination of all of these shared - I have no reason to complain. For a standard deli breakfast, this is a safe choice.

Not a bagel place you want to go to... Choose Dunkin Donuts, Publix, or any other place to get a bagel... $8.50 for 2 mediocre Bagels... and they didnt even toast it. I would prefer Einstein over this any day! Dont waste your time or $!

Bagels are good for takeout but we won’t eat there again. Service was slow and when taking up the various food related issues the manager lady up front was very dismissive and never apologized. She basically said don’t pay - now get lost. Wasn’t looking for a free meal - awkward.

Staff was very nice and accommodating. A little disappointed when there was only a choice of toast or bagel for the egg sandwich that was $8 with a meat. Looked better than it tasted.

My daughters enjoyed the pancakes and bacon. My husband enjoyed his omelet, cinnamon raisin bagel and home fries. I liked everything.

Horrible! Since they have reopened Ive eaten there countless amounts of time and the food sinks. The breakfast potatoes are always cold even when you ask for the well done...cold! If you ask for anything to be cooked they way you like it i.e well done onions in your omelet never well done. This last time I sent my meal back and just ate the bagel (I was hungry go figure), then told the owners how bad my meal was they still charged me for the bagel lol!
