Their special is worth it. the staff going about without masks was a little disconcerting. 5 stars on the food. 3 stars on yhe masks
150 people in the place and exactly one mask... Mine. Not one person preparing food had mask or gloves. There is no excuse for that. Then you wonder why more people die in FL than almost anywhere else!
Placed an online order and everything was 100% perfect and extremely tasty. Word of warning when ordering the fries well done - they come well done and pipping hot! Do not serve to a young child until they cool off. I love my fries this way.
Excellent food, super excellent customer service! I cant stress this enough. Just trust me.
True hit or miss with this place. They rarely get your order correct or take any effort to fix it. Might as well get more bang for your back at the other local delis.
Good place tasty food, but this is not so much a review…. more of a request. I would like to know the nutritional facts of the tuna salad. I asked the person at the counter if there’s any way I could find this out, and he just told me the ingredients, which I already know. What I would like to know is the nutritional facts (i.e. calories, fat, saturated fat, sodium, cholesterol, serving size) of your tuna salad. Thanks.
Great bagels. Carnegie products are available here. Yummy 😋
This is a great N.Y. STYLE DELI. BUT WITHOUT NYC HOURS THEY CLOSE AROUND 3 IN THE AFTERNOON, WHICH IS EARLY FOR ME. BUT ALL-IN-ALL A GREAT BREAKFAST AND OR LUNCH AMY DAY OF THE WEEK. SERVICE IS QUICK, FRIENDLY & KNOWLEDGEABLE. PLACE US CLEAN AND ALWAYS ABLE TO SIT IN A BOOTH AND PARK CLOSE TO THE ENTRANCE. YUMMY EGG AND TUNA SALAD. GENEROUS PORTIONS AND HAVE NO PROBLEM GIVING U UR REFILL IN A TO-GO CUP,WHICH I APPRECIATE VERY MUCH. THESE LADIES WORK HARD AND ALWAYS KEEP A SMILE ON THEIR FACE W/ A FRIENDLY ATTITUDE.
If you like bagels with barely any cream cheese then this is your place, otherwise look elsewhere. I ordered 2 bagels toasted with cream cheese and both came with the equivalent of cream cheese placed on then scraped off. At almost $4 each it’s a ripoff to get such little cream cheese. Bagels were just ok.
I cannot express my disappointment enough and I used to really love it here. Yesterdays experience though has, for lack of better words, left a very bad taste in my mouth. I was greeted and sat immediately. A lovely server greeted the table. I wish I could leave a review for her alone. Dianne was lovely, had a phenomenal personality and really showed just outstanding customer service skills. Manager reading this: please know how awesome she and this review has nothing to do with her. After placing my order, I looked up and saw a different server cutting a bagel and placing it into the toaster. Why is this a big deal? Because she made no use of the tongs next to her or gloves, unlike literally every other server there. She placed her bare unwashed hand directly on top of the bagel to squish it flat and cut. Did she wash her hands beforehand? Absolutely not. She finished assisting a gentleman at the bar, and walked over to the toaster to cut the bagel. Was it one bagel? Absolutely not. It was every one she picked up. My favorite part was when I watched her scoop the bread out on the inside with her bare finger nail. Yet, a different server came to do the same thing right after her, but had the courtesy to put a glove on. Why was this woman so against being inconvenienced with food safety when everyone else was so clearly able to follow the rules? When the woman walked by my table, I asked her why she wasnt wearing gloves to handle the food? She stared at me, rolled her eyes and kept walking. Seems her attitude is just as toxic as the way she handles food. I mean, I too would not appreciate being called out for doing something so blatantly wrong, but I also would not be caught dead touching any one of my customers food without the right safety measures in place. Management: I highly suggest revisiting food safety protocols with your staff. Specifically the middle-aged, short haired blonde with the sour attitude who seems to believe she is the only one in the world without germs. I also hope you know, this is not a pandemic issue. Although, it is nuts to have to write this review in a post pandemic world, especially with all the YouTube videos out showing children how to properly wash their hands. It is strictly a basic food safety issue. This is just as unacceptable today as it would have been years ago. I do see management is active, and snappy with their responses. I look forward to seeing your reply and some ways you plan on tackling this issue. There is no excuse for her behavior and I truly hope it is addressed appropriately.
This is where I buy my bagels. Im from Brooklyn so I know good bagels and these are the best Ive found. They also serve a great breakfast!
Be careful...I ordered a dozen bagels and instead of charging me $12.00 for 1 dozen, they charged me $15.60 for 2 half dozen bagels. Check your receipts! When I called the manager...David, he told me to come in later in the week if I wanted to be charged the correct amount. You overcharge me, then want to inconvenience me by telling me to come in to your store later in the week to get a credit...some business you run. You lost a long time customer.
Disappointed. Order through Uber Eats a Grill Cheese Sandwich with French Fries Fruit Cup and a second order BLT with Fruit Cup.. My order arrived with both receipt’s clearing showing the two orders but missing an entire item I paid for. I called Bagleworks and was told by the young lady I needed to have Uber Eats go back. Well you all know Uber does not go back so she argued with me back and forth. Finally I ask for the manager and spoke to Matt. Shortly after my order arrived. At the door I opened the bag. The sides - French Fries and Fruit Cup was missing. When I told the young lady who did the delivery she shrugged and said they just told me to take this fast. They got it wrong twice. When I called back to report the missing items, the manager was unavailable. What sad service!
I had the cheese blitzes with blueberry sauce. It was excellent and had the others at the table wishing they got the same dish. The bagels are very good also.
What a find. Great bagel and their Flagels were delicious. Go try them. The customer service was spot on.
Good food and polite employees, unlike other bagel stores in the area.
I loved my four visits to Bagel Works which all began during this Pandemic. I found that I was comfortable having breakfast inside but noticed that there is an option to have breakfast or lunch outdoors. The inside dining provided social distancing, great service, and wonderful quality food. I invited a guest to have breakfast with me here and we both enjoyed the Nova platter with a fresh toasted bagel. Its important to let the world know that breakfast and getting together with even one other person over coffee and bagels should not stop. I wish this Boca restaurant and deli success, more customers and revenue and lots of serving deliciousness.
Great deli, mirrors the greats like Carnegie and Bens great sandwich and matzo ball soup.
Just WOW, have not been here in years and I forgot why I stopped going. I figured I would try it again, o boy. $54lb for lox, WOW. Every other place around is about $42lb. What makes your lox $12lb better? Needless to say, I told the kid to keep it. He told me to speak with the owner, who as expected is not there. I am assuming the owner is on his 200 Yacht with those prices. Never again.I see the response from the owner, Beyond sells lox for $48lb, not $54. You are the most expensive in the area. The average is $42-$44, at the other 20 places that sell it. Either way, I wont be back.
My omelet was good but the garlic bagel chips gave me running belly oooh sooo not good. My poor 90 year old mother has the worse luck at restaurants for some reason and this place was no exception and my friend was given a suspicious look by a woman who worked there and to the point where he felt the need to say Im with them. Not so warm of a welcome I would have liked. They forgot to give her all the toppings to her salad and only gave her lettuce and chicken. No salad dressing, cheese, croutons ect. The waitress was nice but the next time she went with my sister she had the same luck but with a grumpy server. We wont go there again.
I got the veggie breakfast wrap with no egg no cheese with mushroom, spinach and peppers. The wrap was sooo oily and had absolutely no kind of flavor/seasoning. I couldnt even finish it, and what I did eat made my stomach hurt so bad. I was so disappointed.
One of the better bagel restaurants in the Boca Raton area. Always great service, clean, good social distancing. Love the tuna salad plate, always fresh. P.S. you can get IHG points for your purchase.
Amazing service and the food was great. My girlfriend and I found our new spot! We stopped in for breakfast. She had the Lox platter, I had eggs, corned beef, grits and we both had the bagels and loved them!Their recipe for corned beef is not my favorite. The beef was more of a rough chop so there were bits of steak Im unaccustomed to but you may love it.We both want to go back for breakfast and try lunch soon!
I placed a pick up order on the web and the everything bagel was more like a nothing bagel. Needless to say I ordered it toasted and it was not. I do not tip over the web but prefer to leave a cash tip and I guess I was punished for that decision. Shame these employees feel so entitled when I do the work of placing my own order, park, walk in, pick up. I dont tip at a drive thru fast food but somehow these people EXPECT it.
I just brought bagles and they were good. Price was good Fast service. We will go back and dine in.
Very good bagels and their pastrami and corned beef, which is now Carnegie deli, is very, very good!
Always great food and customer service
Food very good. Chopped liver and egg salad good to take home.Waiters are fun.
Our family has been a customer for quite some time. We will typically takeout. We did so for Mother’s Day and Father’s Day.I was surprised for Mother’s Day that all of the salads (Tuna, Egg and Whitefish) all were packed without prices and weight on them. All other times when you order, everything is weighed and although it is always over what you ask for, it is somewhat expected. When we picked up for Father’s Day I was surprised again that all the salads were packed without weights and prices. To be clear, they charged you for a full pound if that is what you ordered. When we got home and were talking about it, my son said “let’s weigh one”. So we did. We have an electric scale which is accurate and were very surprised that all three salads came in 10-15% less then the charged prices. One would be mistake, three is a pattern. I realize that times have been tough, but to charge for a pound and not provide the same is stealing. And what’s ironic is that when you order normally most are over by the same. The salads are tasty, the Nova is delicious, but we will think before traveling 20 minutes to pick up again.
Best Bagels, Tuna n Egg salad, and Breakfast around!
Bagel was good, but the breakfast was a 1 out of 10.. and thats being nice.. Eggs were runny, pancakes dry...Nice people though
Love this place. Great food and super nice staff. Ive been going here for years and its always been a clean, friendly and delicious place to eat.
Love their bagels!
Disappointed, NO EGG BAGELTo the owner of BagelWorks: When I walk into a bagel shop I expect to see the staples, plain, everthing, garlic, etc including EGG in your daily inventory. It should not be a monthly special. After l left your establishment, I went to the bagel shop on 441, a few doors down from Target and across from the hospital. I got my egg bagel there, they have it in stock every day. HAPPY CHANUKAH.
The staff & food really good / great bagels. Bagelworks follows all covid procedures.
All their food is great—the bagels, tuna, egg salad, potato latkes, and cheese omelets—other than the nova lox, but the latter is typical of most of Florida.
I dont know why there are negative reviews, this place is awesome. Their food is SO DELICIOUS and the service is always very good when I go. Hands down best deli/ restaurant in Boca.
Everything about the food and service at Bagelworks is good.My complaint is with their breakfast special policy.I arrived at 10:15am, all tables were full.Waited 25 minutes for a table. We were seated at 10:40am. After eating got a check for $25.00 instead of $14.00 (approx). OUCH!!!So, if you get to Bagelworks for their breakfast special, if its past 10:30am + 1 second, go next store to BK where you can get a breakfast special all day.
Don’t ever order delivery from here! No care or concern is given to their deliveries. Your order will arrive incomplete and they don’t care! Go some elsewhere!!!
Wonderful bagels, humongous salad, good service..
IN THESE TIMES I WOULD NOT EXPECT A WORKER AT THE COUNTER NOT TO BE WEARING A MASK.FOR THAT REASON ONLY I WILL NOT RETURN.ITS A REAL TURN OFF. FOR WHATEVER REASON.THIS PERSON SHOULD NOT BE AT THE COUNTER.
Terrible experience. The hostess would not seat me until one other person in my party arrived. It was ridiculous. She was seating people who walked in as I continued to wait. There were no chairs to even sit in while I waited. She was rude and abrupt. I will never go there again and will tell everyone in my community to do the same.
Went for a team lunch... They have outdoor seating and indoor seating is separated by shields.. Food is good
The best bagels / food anywhere. You shouldnt miss it
Best tuna in south fla - been coming here for years for their tuna salad bagel and never disappointed!
Good breakfasts
I went around 2:20 and the customer service was great until I got my food. It seemed like they became too busy with closing duties and nobody asked if my food was good. The turkey club sandwich was dry and the burnt bread and bacon made it terrible. I made a pile of burnt bread and when my server finally made eye contact, I asked for the bill and a box. She brought me a tiny box so I had to ask another server for a bigger box (lots of fries). I took apart the sandwich and brought the decent parts home so I can make my own. My server brought the bill after processing my card and said nothing - I don’t expect anyone to thank me but a goodbye or smile would be nice. I don’t recommend this place at all because of my experience and their menu is extremely limited. I’ve worked in the service industry so I am usually very understanding, but this was honestly terrible.
I was not there, but I was next door at Looking Sharp for an eye exam and new reading glasses. David, the owner, has a large stock that he is intimately familiar with and is as personable as any store owner could be. Wanna feel sharp? Then go here. You will feel sharp because you will be LOOKING SHARP!
Guy behind the counter this am was nice and really helpful. They were extremely busy as always. The garlic bagels need more garlic to be considered a true garlic bagel. However the actual taste and consistency of the bagel was awesome. If u improve the garlic bagels I will add another 🌟 extra 🌟 for honesty!!!! Love that!!!
As old-line bagel bakeries (Utopia) close their doors where you could once count on getting real NY bagels, Bagel Works can still be counted on to fill the void. They do a good job. But, what ever happened to the bakers dozen?
This is a perfect place for a casual breakfast. The bagels are served hot and they are delicious. I would have given this a five star but the medium eggs I ordered were very very hard. I did not say anything because the server was so nice and it really was too busy. It was a first world problem.
Very good five. Stars
Made me feel like I was dining at the diner in Seinfeld. The coffee hot and fresh, the bagels soft and delicious. And the atmosphere while busy during the lunch rush was still enjoyable. One unique policy is that they do not seat until your entire party arrives, which I find creates a better flow of seats and service. 10/10 will be back soon.
Went yesterday to bagel works off of glades and the turnpike. Ordered sturgeon at $59. A pound to go.Dry, awful, tasteless - probably had been there for a month or more- staff not aware, owners should have been- will try to return remainder today/ staff and servers particularly nice
Long take out line Goes fast. Ordered scooped bagel in tuna as well as toasted everything bagel with cream cheese. They make their bagels fresh everyday and they were absolutely wonderful. They have a unique sweetness to them that no other place can replicate. I also top that off with a Chinese cookie. Very delicious always fresh and served promptly.
Great bagels
Superb bagels, great spreads to put on them, wonderful service, and inexpensive - plus a huge menu of everything imaginable for breakfast, brunch, and lunch - what more might you want?My personal favorite is the Works. A bagel of my choosing, two side salads, three toppings, onions, tomatoes, lettuce, cream cheese of my choice, olives - I always have leftovers to take home. Add an extra bagel and an extra spread for my wife, and there is plenty for two.Kristen was our delightful and efficient server. The bill is small and free parking is readily available.
Terrible. They don’t have anything on their menu and their manager is rude. Do not order from here
Worth the wait...
Great place for breakfast and/or Lunch. The Staff is friendly, polite, courteous. The food is always good too. The Food is always Fresh and Service is quick too. The place is clean as well. If you go there on the weekends or Lunch time be prepared to wait awhile. The place isnt very big but, the Food and service is good
Have been going to BagelWorks for over 20 years. Food still good, but starting to look run down. Water condensing and dripping in refrigerator display case for appetizing, ceiling tiles stained and not replaced, light fixtures with many burnt out bulbs and bulbs of different colors. Owner needs to take more pride in establishment.
Good food, very nice staff, great for breakfast and lunch. But the bagel maker needs to learn howto bake Bagels! Their Terrible!!
Good bang for the buck during the week.Good food and great bagels.Parking good n service is ok
Its mediocre at best.
I love this place
None of the staff wears a mask or gloves endangering everyone that eats there. For safety reasons I suggest finding a restaurant that takes safety measures for its customers and staff.Completely irresponsible on the owners part. He doesn’t wear a mask either🤮
Good overall. The hostess was fine, just not warm and fuzzy so dont expect to be greeted. Our server, Ali was phenomenal. She was working very hard to get her customers the best service.Iced tea was refreshing.Still wondering why they call their tuna legendary. It was good, but certainly nothing special whatsoever. That was disappointing since I was expecting something great. Thats why the 4 stars. If they hadnt gotten my expectations up so high, it would have been better.Clarification after restaurant responded: the reason I didnt give it 5 stars wasnt because of the hostess greeting. It was because the legendary tuna salad was good, but not legendary. My mother-in-law and I were very excited to try it but it was just ok. Thats where our expectations werent met. I feel if something says legendary it will be really, really special. We will be back, though. Its not a deal breaker. wed probably both just order something else next time. Also, we went back today to get a few bagels from the take out counter. Since many people in line were waiting for cooked restaurant and large deli orders, it took about 19 minutes to just get 2 bagels (not toasted or cut or anything, just bagels) and a muffin to go. I think they have a call ahead and I would do that next time. Not stand in line.
Almost turned and left because the line was so long, very glad I didnt. The staff knows they get crowded and are very efficient about getting people seated and served.I got the works. Based on how big the mini-scoops that come with it are, a full scoop must be enormous. It wasnt the best chopped liver I ever had, and the whitefish salad had a bone in it, so I cant give this place the full 5 stars. But the chopped liver wasnt bad, the nova spread was good, and aside from a stray bone the whitefish salad was excellent. This place deserves the crowds they get. Enjoy (but chew carefully).
When you walk inside theres always a line for a table. Its worth the wait. The food is wonderful. They claim to have legendary tuna. It is absolutely legendary. Highly recommend this place.
Delish soup! Great corned beef. Superb service by Ali.
We we’re passing through Boca and looking for a quick morning bagel when We stumbled upon Bagel Works .... We thought this would be just another chain were We would get a quick so so bagel . Much to our surprise this could be one of the best Jewish deli’s . Food was amazing, prices were spot on and the waitress was attentive and communicative . Our advice would be change the name it’s very deceiving. It led us to believe it was no better than a quick chain bagel shop . If you’re taking name suggestions..... it needs to end with a “Berg “ a ” Witz “ ..... the name does no justice to an Incredible place like this !!!!!!!Tori and Ron
Bagelworks is an institution. It has the BEST bagels, best cranberry tuna, nova sliced to perfection. We have been supporters for years and we always will be. Make sure to support Bagelworks now especially in this very difficult time. ❤️
Great place for breakfast . Bagels are great and they are very reasonably in price. They have a great breakfast special. Staff was very nice
We normally go to breakfast on Sundays to the cafe in our community but since closed we decided to try Bagel Works. What a pleasure to get our orders prepared exactly as we ordered. Will be returning.
Authentic NY deli.. Expensive but worth it.. Pumpernickel bagels and salmon salad are the bomb..
Excellent bagels, great breakfast, fabulous burgers (Ordered medium rare and it was perfect). Great prices for specials. Nova was a little over-priced but cut very thin the way I like it..service can vary but usually good..love it!!
Always a pleasure to eat here great food! Especially Breakfast! Great Service..
Wait staff and hostesses have attitude that i do not appreciate. Food is good tho and portions are plentiful
The guys at the take out counter are very nice & helpful ... my friend is kosher & I didn’t know what was what they explained everything to me I would haven given 5🌟 but they aren’t a true NY Bagel but as close as you can get
Great hole in the wall restaurant. Wish they had Asiago bagels. Very homey feeling. Delicious food. Feels like everyone knows everybody in there. A bit of a Cheers atmosphere. Everytime I come to Boca, I make sure I stop by with pops to have a decent breakfast.
Fairly good matzo ball soup, but only noodles. Need a better recipe. Fantastic soup and sandwiches, the corn beef was excellent
Great bagels and breakfast options.Their bagels are the closest to bagels in NYC, really good quality.Very friendly servers and ambience.
Best bagels in all of Florida!!! Hot fresh plain bagels are the best eaten right then and there, wouldnt want it any other way.
Excellent fresh bagels and deli !!
I have been going to this place for years and years. The food is outstanding. HOWEVER... I stopped in this morning to pick up breakfast for my crew. Nothing major...half a doz bagels, some cream cheese and 1/2 lb of nova. $$47 LB for nova is the most ludicrous thing I have ever heard in my life. First, I called back to see if I was charged correctly. The price was verified. SO, I called around to some of my other haunts (and they are some good ones, I promise). The next most expensive place for nova is $32.99LB. a $17 difference. If youre looking for a nice breakfast, this is a great spot. If youre looking for Nova, Its the most expensive place in boca.
A little expensive but well worth it breakfast is amazing.
Wonderful breakfast stop, food was decent and it was a great value, I enjoyed a generous portion of eggs, bacon, potatoes, and a bagel. this was more than I could eat and it held me over through lunch. I was sticker shocked on the low cost of the meal that I gave the waitress a 100% tip. I wish I wasnt working in the site for just 1 day because this would be a regular stop for me. I highly recommend this place if you are looking for a nice quick bite to eat.
Such good food! Delish bagels and bagel sandwiches. Sign up for the rewards program and make sure to leave a tip for the boys and girls - the awesome prep team!
Bagelworks is always a great place to stop in for a quick bite or take out. Their food has been consistently good for many years. Bagels are great. Eggs, sandwiches, pretty much whatever you want in a deli. Great place for breakfast or lunch.
The manager Matt is so rude he should learn how to treat customers nicely. There are plenty of bagel stores in town, you will continue to lose customers if you have someone like Matt working at the store.
Delicious food and friendly staff. Cant go wrong with BagelWorks!
Best bagels and Nova in Florida, hands down. Anytime I am in this region of Florida we make a special trip for a visit. Regular breakfast is a bargain, and fresh OJ is ridiculously good. Bottomless coffee is outstanding too.
Ruined Mother’s Day by cancelling our Uber Eats order after it was scheduled to be delivered. We can’t spend Mother’s Day together and would have hoped to have our gift delivered considering it was ordered and accepted many days in advance. No one answers the phone now...not cool!
This place is great anytime of the day. Large portions and tasty, even their bagel sandwiches. Try Bagel Works you wont go wrong
A little cozy place for breakfast or lunch. Good value fast service when you are seated but always busy.
