Rural king is always one of the greatest places to ever exist in my opinion. You cant go wrong. Everyone there is kind and the types of customers that shop there are always kind too. Its really a great place even for a first date honestly.

We usually really enjoy shopping at Rural King. But this visit was frustrating. They didnt have enough help. Had to search for help finding items. And for awhile, only one cashier. I guess its a sign of the times when people would rather stay home and live off the government. (Thats you and me folks.)

Love the store, had everything I needed, also very neat and clean.

The cashiers and employees are Always polite and helpful .

I just moved to a Rural part of Indiana from Atlanta so needless to say big difference. They had everything I needed and more than i expected. I wanted to live in the country and they have everything from dog and cat food to any farm animal and all the equipment needed to do basics around the farm. I love this store and will be back!!

Always dirty, and very unorganized. They never stock anything usually on top shelf. Still. Wrapped in plastic.

The staff is young and professional and courteous however the store is short stocked.It’s odd how they can have 14 pallets of trampolines but not a single sledgehammer or axe in the store.I feel like they need to stick to their farm roots and stop trying to be big lots.

Fairly good and cheap. Sometimes they are out of stock of the items Im looking for.

I love this store. They always have great deals on clothes, shoes, and more. Their small engine repair shop is great. Ive been taking my mower and other equipment for several years. Fast service, reasonable prices, friendly staff. Oh, I also love the microwave pork rinds!UPDATE: unless you have 15 to 20 minutes to wait for someone to come out and help you, I would suggest you do not do a propane tank exchange here. I had to go in three times to ask them to send somebody out and while I was sitting at my car waiting I saw three employees go out and take a smoke break. Pretty pitiful. I like this store but sometimes their staffing shortages bite them in the butt.

Love this place. They have stuff when others dont....pool chlorine tablets being 1 of them.This is a great place to shop for anything outdoorsy.

This RK has got to be one of the best in the state of Indiana. We like it so much that we drive 1 1/2 hours to get there passing much closer stores. There plants & trees are always well cared for. The chickens & other fowl are types that you cannot find in other stores. The store is always well stocked and clean.

I really only come here to get my dog food. they have taste of the wild for about $6 cheaper than surrounding stores. they always offer free coffee/popcorn while you shop. Theres literally a ton of stuff in here though from camping, fishing, outdoor, farming, toys, hardware, tools...it could be a one stop shop for most people.

Super super long wait. If you go in to get just one thing, you better grab some popcorn if there even is any because youre gonna be standing there a long time, EVER time.

My wife and I stopped in to check it out while in the area, found it to be a very interesting place. A little of everything and if you fancy yourself as a somewhat farmer, great place to pick up supplies.

Great staff, great products with a huge variety and always fair and reasonable prices. The store is always clean, organized, stocked, and well lit. I miss the free popcorn tho but thats not their fault in any way. I was recommended some mosquito pest control by an employee there and it worked phenomenally

I like this place. Its like Walmart but without the trashy people. Big bonus is that I can bring my dog with me. They also do blade sharpening and lawn equipment repairs.

This store has all kinds of cool stuff, they have a great selection of tools and clothes for The working Man. The staff is always very helpful and friendly, at least that has been the case whenever Ive went in there....🙂

They always have what we need PLUS MORE :) Deals on tools throughout the year, Sales on items at the end of the seasons, affordable everyday pricing and who doesnt love to see live chicks and bunnies while youre shopping. Oh and dont forget the hot fresh popcorn on your way in.Currently they are supporting local Girl Scout troops if anyone is needing cookies. They have been there the last three weekends. Every time we go, even if its just for dog food (very reasonable pricing for our three dogs) I always seem to end up buying my children shirts. We love this place whether its for home items, vehicle, pets or just the extras.

Always a fun place to explore. The stock is reliable and fairly priced.

Only place with decent ammo prices, and it’s the first place I go to for clothes, dog food, household supplies…

Edit. Dear management/owners. This group of people need training. Items ordered online sit for 12 days and arent to be found. Home office customer service is awful to say the least. You have a wide selection of items and being a large store its not crowded. However, beware ordering online. 6-8 days means 3+ weeks. Very frustrating experience.

Only got a few minutes in here but I could tell it had a lot of great things. Would love to go back. Prices seemed pretty good. Cant wait.

They definitely need more cashiers and other staff to help you find what you need,but that may not be their fault with the way people are not wanting to work!

Store is always clean, parking is convenient and prices are good, I was there to buy motor oil because its the best place for inexpensive motor oil and Im extremely broke right now so had to use change. My cashier, Darlene, went above and beyond and pulled a dollar bill out of her own pocket to help me cover the cost. Exceptional human kindness behavior.

Cheapest pine wood pellets in my area, nice cloth of all sizes, cute rabbits. A lot of useful staff.

It was a nightmare. Sign on the door says masks were required. About half the people and staff werent wearing any. Then we were waiting for assistance with chicks. Guy helped everyone but us and walked away. We couldnt find him so we just got the chicks ourselves and high tailed it out of there.

Meh. It didnt look as good as it did when I visited a couple of years ago. The merchandise was sparse and disorderly and they didnt care to display some of the summer items. The number of people wearing masks including some of the employees was comparatively less than any other place in town - alhough theres a warning sign at the door that says its required to wear them. I normally like to visit this store because youd find something interesting every time. Maybe it was not a good day for them that day.

Good place to get some farm and family supplies

They are the best! In and out in 15 minutes and got everything on my list for a new puppy! Oh yah it was 15 minutes to their closing time when I walked in the door, and all the employees were still pleasant!

After being a faithful Interstate customer since I first got my license, I bought a battery from Rural King a few years ago off a recommendation from a friend, and now Ive bought 4 over past couple years. Price is unbeatable, Ive had no troubles, and best part is if you have any issues needing coverage by warranty, you bring it in and swap it... Not like my former favorite company where someone would argue with you whether battery was truly bad or not.

I used to really like the prices and feel to this store. As its aging though the place is just getting grimy and wore out. The floors need attention and the shelves are dusty with spills long dried to them. And as for the prices they are now onpar with it not equal to the other nicer stores in town. Though they are the only Carhart dealer I know of in the area. But online prices are much better on that stuff.

Its always a great place to go for your yard equipment repairs, some tools, and pet needs for sure. The employees are always nice and polite and make it a great place to shop.

Really enjoy Rural King for the type of store it is. Not the cleanest store and staff throughout the store not overly helpful unless you ask. However the cashiers are wonderful and always very nice.

Cashier was friendly and things were easy to find.

They have lots of useful home improvement and animal care stuff. Some things I feel they should have but dont for the size they are. Employees are hit and mostly miss when it comes to being helpful and knowledgable in my many experiences there.

Bloomington IN store was great. I took shoes back 3 times until getting rt fit. Very nice people. Thank you, Rural King!

The Bedford store is much better.

The only reason made to not get a five and were not all perfect is because I had to go hunting for somebody for a sales rep to try stuff on at the fitting room had to go hunting for somebody to check us out but people are always going to be short-staffed but at the cash register that should not be a problem but they did get a for because they are the only place in like the entire Tri-State of Indiana that carries tall sizes for mens. And they are great with the handicapped this suit is an example of a tall size Im six foot four and a half

If Rural King doesnt have it, you dont need it. Robert, in management went out of his way today to take care of me. Wish I knew his last name so he could get the recognition that he deserved.

Go for giant bags of most affordable dog food, for local honey and candy, to see the baby chicks come spring ... and for funny hats I have to buy my mother.

Came by to check gun and ammo inventory. Really disappointing to spend $700 on a new Ruger 57... and not have any ammo for it. I get it... there is a nationwide ammo shortage, due to the asswad @ 1600 Pennsylvania Ave. I wasnt thinking when I purchased this $700 paper weight!! Fortunately, I found a few boxes on the East coast. Not your fault!!

Visit often for the critters in my house. And a a new dehydrator. Making more jerky at once. Got one with 10 trays. Nice one

Weve shopped Rural King since day they opened & happy its right down the street. We buy ammo & hunting equipment, chicken feed, parts & service for our Stihl weed whacker which still runs, canning supplies, blue jeans & pool chemicals. Prices are reasonable, ammo is often on sale for $4.99 a box. The service is good.

Comfy country farm store.

My absolute, all time, favorite place to shop. No other place around caters more to the working man/woman. Especially in the clothing department with larger sizes always on hand. All the tools, outdoor gear, feed, exc.... is just a bonus!!!

Lines were extremely long and unfortunately the employees on register did not seem like they knew what they were doing. Was in line for almost 20 minutes. Not a good trip like it usually is.

Love Rural King. But wish they kept things cleaner in and around their store. Trash everywhere outside. And very dusty and disorganized inside.

My favorite store for buying metal bar stock, propane, shop safety equipment, and grinder disks for my business.Better steel selection at a better price than Lowes and Menards. Better propane prices by far.One of the few places in town that carries full-sized, professional grade Stihl chainsaws.And you can buy beeswax by the half pound brick there.10/10
