Great place to take your vehicle. I called Monday and they had me in on Wednesday. I arrived about 15 minutes early, and they were ready for me. One mechanic checked over my vehicle, diagnosed the issue, gave me his personal opinion on how to deal with it, and sent me to where I needed to go. Front desk was professional and very thorough. They didn’t charge me a dime even thought it took about 30-45 minutes of their time. I had previous work done there about 2 years ago, and it was the same as it is now. Highly recommend!

Had a leak and it turned out to be a cracked reservoir. These guys instantly found the problem and took care of it. Highly recommend!

We have tried to stick with this team for years but have to say goodbye. Most times we have to take the cars in twice bc the first issue is not resolved or something else goes wrong after they repair, in relation. For instance, they just replaced the tire rod ends and did not do an alignment, so we have to waste time taking it somewhere else. Not very though rough.

Auto Choice IS GREAT! I took my car in for making a rattling noise. Lloyd called back in a very timely fashion & told me the noise was a loose bolt on the heat shield, which they fixed FREE OF CHARGE! I have been taking our vehicles to Auto Choice for years! I love AutoChoice! I first brought my car there when it needed transmission work (not many shops seem to do that kind of work). Ive stuck with them since then. Theyre incredibly friendly and personable, which immediately puts me at ease. They also never make me feel annoying when I ask a bunch of questions--cars arent my thing but I like to get better understandings of whats happening, but I tend to need it laid out plainly (since, again, cars are not my thing). Theyre always patient and explain things in terms that make sense to me.What I love most about them is that they keep it real. I never feel like Im being hustled for money. Thats huge when it comes to mechanics, you want to be able to trust what theyre saying and get honest ideas of whats absolutely needed, what can wait, and what is just not worth it based on the cars condition. I cant recommend them enough!

Beyond happy with everything they did for us. They replaced the engine and radiator while cleaning out the whole system because it was full of oil. They were so kind, considerate, and fair. I dont get treated like I know much when I typically go to car shops but they treated me like anyone else and were honest from the start. I cannot even begin to thank them enough for making this jeep run like new. Lloyd kept me updated every step of the way. We will be taking any and every car we have to them as long as were in Bloomington.

I have taken my car to Autochoice since I got it, and like other reviews have said, as a young woman living alone it’s easy to get taken advantage of at mechanics! However, Lloyd and Adam are so nice and kind, and have helped me figure out what’s best for my car and my budget, supporting me like they do their own daughters! (Adam taught me how to change my own lightbulbs when one burned out, so I didn’t have to bring it in next time!) they are kind, reliable, and honest, even giving me a ride back to class when a repair ended up taking longer than expected because a part didn’t arrive on time, and I recommend Autochoice to all my friends!

My car was damaged because of the snowy/icy road. I googled and found Autochoice. They reply my question fast and precisely. However, my friend referred me to another car shop because it was cheap and closer to my home, but they missed a major issue and didnt fixed my car completely, so I sent my car to Autochoice. Lloyd and his team noticed the problem and identified the cause very fast. Im a foreigner and not good at English, Lloyd listened to me and explained the details to me patiently and carefully. Theyve installed a tow hitch and repaired my AC. They also did a little research when they werent sure about doing a third job and referred me to another business they thought might work better.Every time theyve been great about communicating my options, explaining whats going on, and did great work that lasts.

I took my truck to AutoChoice because of the many recommendations on social media. The car has issues with the engine wiring hardness because of some terrible work from previous shops. So their solution was to replace the whole part before examining other stuff, everything ok up to now. The problem starts when they could not find the part, so they provided a part number then I could look for it elsewhere. I found it online, bought it, checked if it had the same part number as provided. Then, I took the truck to the shop just to know that they provided the wrong part number. Also, now they are saying they dont even know which part would fit there (great!). Just a mess! Waste of time and money as now I have a useless expensive part and need to look for another place to find a solution. Not professional!

I had an emergency that required me driving 1,600 miles to and from the east coast. Last minute I called the Team at Auto choice to see if they could perform an inspection to make sure I was in good shape to travel so far. They were able to squeeze me in last minute. Not only did they accommodate me, they performed a full inspection that uncovered that I was dangerously low on transmission fluid. So low in fact that their could have been significant long term damage had they not caught it. I love my car and I love this place! 10/10 These guys ROCK!!! Oh, and their prices are definitely easy on the wallet and well worth the service provided!

My excellent experience with AutoChoice has made me a customer for life. I was quoted a very reasonable price for them to replace my alternator (which they told me wasnt having any real problems but the battery light was probably being triggered by a malfunctioning diode and I wanted to replace it because I wanted to know when my alternator had a real problem in future.) As they began the replacement, the team at AutoChoice found a rodent had chewed through the wires of the alternator connector so they decided to replace that first to see if it fixed the problem. It did! I am incredibly impressed by their honesty, fairness. and integrity (and a bonus is they saved me a lot of money).I had the opportunity to talk to the owner when I picked up my car and expressed my appreciation for their honest work and he said that their perspective is the golden rule: to treat others as they would want to be treated. Thats an incredible philosophy for an auto repair shop and one I can proudly stand behind as a customer.

Not impressed. Adam was nice and tried to help resolve my concerns with wait time and low coolant after a flush but I was already an hour and a half away with coolant so low I wasnt willing to risk driving it back to Bloomington just to get free coolant. This was after Lloyd told me I could only get the coolant from them or a Ford dealer which was absolute BS. Either Lloyd is ignorant or he assumed I was.

I paid over 1,000 Dollars to get stuff fixed check engine light came back on same day I picked it up then took it back check engine light came on again after pick up 2 days later and well it went in a second time and a 3rd time they made it right and went above and beyond to make sure it was all taken care of plus gave me great discounts and let me do a payment plan, Adam is super nice and explained everything in detail that was wrong with my car, always call and ask questions its better than making assumptions about their service.. they garentee their work...

They replaced my entire radiator and hoses, and then it was running really poorly so I took it back and they then replaced the battery and made it run worse. I had to take my car to a completely different mechanic to fix all their mistakes and it still doesnt run as good as it used to. I will never go there again, they were rude, and made me feel like I was being taken advantage of.

AutoChoice is the best place for car repairs of all kinds in Bloomington.I went in with brake issues, transmission issues, and a slow Air conditioning link. They had feedback about each issue which they could fix, but instead off charging me a lot of $ to replace my transmission, they saved me replacement. I ended up only going with their recommendation for the brakes and my finances are better for it. And the car still works!It’s best if you call to make an appointment to bring you car in.

Adam and team are fantastic. After getting charged an outrageous amount of money for my AC repair at the local Meineke, my AC STILL didnt work. AutoChoice was highly recommended by a coworker so I gave them a try. I was not disappointed! What I was told at the other shop was that I needed to spend an additional $500 (on top of the $1500 Id already spent) for the new fix. However, the team at AutoChoice found a very minor issue, fixed it and didnt charge me a dime for it! Meineke was going to repair something that didnt need fixed and I still would have no AC! However, the guys at AutoChoice were honest, dependable and got me back out on the hot summer road with some ice cold AC! I will be returning to AutoChoice as well as recommending them to everyone I know.Honesty, dependability, and supreme customer service are hard to find. Lucky for me Adam and his team set the bar high in all three areas.

Excellent repair shop. They saved us from spending thousands of $$ when we called for a second opinion after thinking the local Toyota dealership was taking advantage of us. Over the phone, AutoChoice helped us consider alternatives to a massive repair for our van, then properly diagnosed the issue, fixed it, and we even did elective repairs at less cost than the local dealership originally quoted!. When the battery light in my truck came on I went online and looked for the shop with the highest reviews in the area. The more reviews the better. After reading reviews of multiple businesses, I went over the negative reviews to make sure they werent assigning one star for silly reasons. Many of them were. Many seemed legit. In the end the strongest reviews led me to AutoChoice.I told them on the phone the battery was dead and when I attempted to drive it to the shop, even though its a manual transmission, the engine stopped pulling in all gears. They said it could be the alternator but might also involve the transmission.After a tow truck dropped it off, they looked at my truck and confirmed the 18 year old alternator needed replacing. I searched alternator replacement for my truck year and model and their price was right at the bottom end, the less expensive range. I was surprised how fair it was. I gave them the go-ahead to do the work and they told me it would take two days to get the alternator in, install it, and test the transmission.After only 24 hours they called me and told me the work was done, the transmission was fine, and I could come and pick it up right then and there. Very good news. Done a day early and they did not try to sell me any extra work. Glad to have found what looks to be a reliable shop with excellent prices.

I was able to get a same day appointment and they are also flexible to help work with my schedule. Staffs are very professional and waiting environment is nice. They found out the previous auto shop I went left my power steering pump driver belt and bolt loose and fixed it (squeezing sound went away). Will definitely come back! If you want to have high-quality auto repair/maintenance work to be done and be treated with respect, this is the place to go. They dont charge for diagnostics.

We went to view a used car today in Bloomington and thought it would be a great idea to have a mechanic check out the car to make sure that everything was in good order. Well, being from out of town I read reviews for the surrounding auto places on google and found that AutoChoice seemed to be a nice place. When we arrived, we were greeted by a friendly mechanic who had an excellent knowledge in his field. He was more than happy to inspect in detail the used car we had brought. He was very nice and explained everything to us personally and in detail. It was by far the best experience I have ever had at an auto place. I only wish we had a place to go to as great, reliable, and as trustworthy as this closer to home. If you ever go there and they are busy, it would definitely be worth the wait. Cant say enough good things about this place!

I was in a really tight spot and needed an alternator replaced immediately. Called this shop and they were able to get me in the same day and run a diagnostic on the vehicle. They ordered the part and the car was finished by the next morning. They were very quick and professional in their service. HIGHLY RECOMMEND!!!

Update: They wanted to fix my cost issue and redressed it by calling me and explaining how the markup in price is common across the garages in the country, and it helps them be flexible with warranties and support local parts stores.I like these guys and the fact that they used some of the parts that I brought to fix my problem. But I wish they got a new vendor or something. 80$ for brake pads? 100$ for brake hoses? Other than that they are professional about everything.

Great experience at AutoChoice! Would recommend to anyone! When my daughters car died along the road, I had no idea where to have it towed. A Google search showed that AutoChoice had good reviews/rating, so I gave them a call. They have a contract with a local towing company, which made the towing experience stress/hassle free. FIRST PLUS in my book. Upon assessment of the car they determined the issues, and talked through all of them with me before proceeding. SECOND PLUS in my book.As a woman, I admit that I am intimidated with car issues, I always worry that I am being taken advantage of or the dreadful being talked down to. So far so good. I mean, I like Floyd a lot. I like their transparency. I catch up on reading or daytime TV and they fix my Saab. If they know they cant do it, theyll tell you. Saabs are more and more difficult to find repair people who are confident working on them but the mechanics here never seems overly stressed or particular. If they can do it they will, and if they cant they cant. Reasonable, simply good folks who know how to treat customers without making it over the top and too plush. Just fix my car, thats what i want.

Both times were on short notice and both times the issues severely damaged the functionality of our cars. In each instance, AutoChoice completed the repairs on the same day, and throughout the entire process they were courteous and easy to work with. My ignition had to be replaced and I was stuck hopping rides to and from work during tornado weather. I had my car towed to them at 10:00 AM and they had it ready for me by 3:30 PM! They pushed to make the deadline so that I wouldnt be inconvenienced for another day. Adam was helpful and sympathetic and the car was cleaner when I got it back than when it was towed! Had an alternator go out in my truck on my way through town to a camping weekend with my son. It was already late, but they dropped everything, got the part, and installed so we could get back on the road. You dont find that type of customer service at too many places these days.Highly recommended.

I cant recommend Auto Choice enough. They are fair and will give you all the options available before doing any work on your car. Not only that, they are kind and really go out of their way to make sure you are informed throughout the process of your car repair.

I have two quotes from Firestone ($1500) and Pep-boys ($2500) to replace the front suspension system due to car vibrating. Was not convinced since most of these parts had been replaced in the past two years. Took the car to Auto choice for a third estimate and they told me all I needed was new tires. Still skeptical i decided to only do the front two tires and all the wobbling and noise was gone. Honesty is hard to find and these mechanics earned my trust. Didnt even charge me for the inspection.

My car needed a major repair and they had it for 24 days. They were always polite when I called with questions and were always willing to explain what they needed to fix and why. They made a stressful experience much easier and I will definitely be taking my car here for any repairs in the future.

We took our Accord there because it was not blowing any heat. I had just replaced the thermostat and flushed the heater core, and no change. So we took it to Auto Choice to get their opinion, the mechanic diagnosed the hose temps, and jacked up the front end of the car to remove any air pockets that may not have been bled out during my flush and refills. Thats what it took and the car is blowing heat once again. Best of all they decided not to charge us a dime since they didnt replace anything, even after I asked again if they didnt require payment, they insisted. These are great mechanics and business people, not very many people do anyone favors anymore.

We have been taking our Denali to AutoChoice for about 3 years. The service is always spectacular. All of the mechanics are first rate and the prices are very reasonable. I would not take my truck to anyone else in Bloomington and always recommend AutoChoice to friends and family who need service.

Honest in what can, should and needs to be done to be safe. Reasonable rates. They stand-by and warranty the parts they use.

My son is a student at IU and needed to have his catalytic converter replaced on his Pontiac G5. Finding a mechanic is stressful enough, let alone having to locate one long distance. I did my homework and reached out to 4 different garages in the area who provided me with 4 different quotes. Prior to making my decision, Adam and Floyd encouraged me to speak directly to the gentleman who performs the diagnostics. He explained everything to me in detail and basically restated what my local mechanic had told me over Christmas break. Even though AutoChoice was not the cheapest quote, I decided to go with them and I am very glad that I did. Excellent service, quality work and a warranty on parts/labor, all at a reasonable price, in other words, well worth the money. Cheaper is NOT always better. I highly recommend AutoChoice!

They had the best price in town. Honest about everything. Very clear about what was wrong, what it would take to fix it, and where the costs come from. Will return to them, hopefully not soon 😊

As a young woman, I often get taken advantage of and overcharged at auto shops and such. This was not the case here. I came in for a problem starting my car, and I was treated with the upmost respect. They told me I also needed a sensor, which I knew, and I told them it would have to wait because I’m a broke college student. Instead of pushing their services and trying to charge me hundreds of dollars to replace it, they told me where I could get the sensor cheaper and how I could replace it myself. They are incredibly respectful, kind, and they definitely know what they’re doing. Highly recommend!

Id give them 6 out of 5 stars if I could. After a poor experience with two of their competitors, I decided to trust the Google reviews and check these guys out. Theyre great, just absolutely great. Im fairly new to Btown and I had some serious (really bad) issues with my trucks engine, and had been given misinformation at two other locations on what the issue was. These guys were straight forward. They diagnosed the problem quickly and spelled it out for me. Their prices were very reasonable. However, due to a warranty situation, I had to do the work at the dealership. Get this, these guys refused to charge me for the analysis! They also went ahead and fixed one of the minor issues I was having for no charge either. They figured given all the issues with the truck, they would at least help me out. When is the last time you heard of service like that? Seriously, you wont be disappointed with these folks!

These guys are just great. They go above and beyond to help you out. Have been a customer here for years and several vehicles.
