Excellent dinner at State Street Grill! We had the goat cheese squash blossoms for an appetizer along with crab cakes and meat loaf for entrees. All were delicious. The peach old fashioned was the strongest cocktail we’ve had in the area. Definitely worth the $10. Strong but very tasty! Colleen was our server and was very attentive. We will be back
Stopped by here on our way to the Finger Lakes. So glad we did! Our server was so friendly and the food was excellent! I definitely recommend the shrimp tacos appetizer. The atmosphere was modern, beautiful, and very cool. Highly recommend and look forward to returning, great experience!

First of all, I’d like to say our server was amazing, top notch and very personable. But, the food wasn’t. We started with the nachos. They were a soggy plate of wet homemade chips in a sauce of I don’t know what, but I am pretty sure it was not cheese. And when I say soggy I mean completely. Next, I had the crab cakes. They were on par the consistency of canned tuna and would have been horrible if it weren’t for the salsa on the side that covered all the fishy taste. It was good salsa. The drinks were okay, I honestly don’t drink mixed drinks very often so I really can’t say I am knowledgeable on this one. My son had some sort of pizza with a fried egg in the middle which was a little confusing. My husband liked the veal chop. So over all, they used to be better and I was pretty disappointed. It could have been a bad night for the cook, but it’s their job to make it taste good and I have to say, it tasted less than average. The diner next store has better food and I’d easily choose going there next time I’m hungry.
We went for Sunday brunch and had an absolutely fantastic meal. Everything was perfect- the reservation process, the seating, the ambience, the food, the drinks. But what made this experience one of the best dining experiences I have ever had was the waiter- Richard. He was informative, funny, personable and made our dining experience unforgettable.

This place was hopping! Great food and lively atmosphere. Not terribly loud,so you could talk with people at your table comfortably. The menu choices were very interesting and the food was perfectly cooked and delicious. We sat outside under the tent and had a table with the fire in the middle. It was great. I will definitely be back.
Unfortunate anniversary dinner. The manger seated us after checking in for our reservation. She informed us of a 2 hr table limit. We understood and respected the policy. At 1 hr 35 minutes, the manager informed us that our time was up and that our table was needed for another reservation and that they were waiting. We explained that we were waiting to pay our bill. She wanted us to transition to the bar so the table could be used. Immediately following this exchange, I received an email from Open Table that I missed by reservation. Very frustrating. We have called the owner for a week to discuss what happened to avoid this review. We have never received a return phone call. We would like to every customer is important and worthy of a great experience. Very disappointing. Our anniversary dinner was great until everything fell apart. Very unprofessional manager.
Ugh, I had the fish tacos. Luke warm frozen fish with diced mango. No spice, no flavor and bland fish. The drinks were good but the menu really limited.

My family and I ate at the State Street Grill Sunday June 27th. We made a reservation for 4 plus a puppy for 1pm (so it’s not like we were walking). The food was delicious, however, the siting arrangements was dreadful. We were put in the dog friendly area which we expected. Unfortunately, of the three tables in that section, only one had an umbrella and it was taken. It was 86 degrees that day and very hot and sunny. I felt ill so I asked for an umbrella, I was told that there are no more umbrellas. It was quite disappointing that the accommodation was an after thought on the part of the restaurant. We would have stayed longer and ordered drinks and appetizers, unfortunately, we were left to hurry our meal so we can leave quickly. Do better for your patrons.
State street grill is probably my favorite restaurant in the area. the service is great and the workers are very polite. the wait for the food is never very long. the chicken quesadilla is absolutely phenomenal! the cheeseburger with gouda is fantastic and so are the fries🍟🍔i love the vibes of the place and the scenery is very delightful😀
Great service great atmosphere (we sat outside under a canopy of vine)... lots of food options! Love their salads (fresh and seasonal) and all the Buffalo cauliflower. Great Kids menu too

I really like the ambience inside the restaurant and the fun atmosphere of out front. The food was very good and progressive in style. When we first arrived for a working lunch it was easy to hear each other but when the full lunch crowd was there, it was difficult to hear each other. I like the water bottles on the tables and our waiter was friendly. The mens room was clean. Parking is a challenge. We parked on the street and had to walk a short distance. The prices were very good considering the quality of the food.
We had to leave. After being seated nobody came to us to take our order or even ask us if we wanted water

I have always loved coming here and its not like its in my back yard, its a forty minute drive but I didnt care because the food and ATMOSPHERE was always good.....what happened to the inside of this place??? It looks terrible and it looks like a bar room now. My heart sank when I saw it, the make over is truly awful from what it was. Its not inviting, the chairs are basically barstools and everything is hard and cold. I wont come here now, its no longer a quaint, elegant, date night spot. How awful.

Im not even a fan of balsamic but theyre delicious!! The service is absolutely top tier, ask for Jackie she is delightfully professional and a wonderful waitress!!!!

Wasnt impressed with the menu, not a lot of choices. Burger was just ok. High prices was biggest concern. Dont plan on returning. The waitress was excellent though.

This challenge with writing this post is we are going to continue to go here since it’s the only option close to home that provides a nice atmosphere however, everything else beside the service needs serious help! The food is mediocre at best. Living in major cities prior to Clarks Summit really reveals the poor quality of everything on this menu. We have been to State Street twice in the past two weeks and the service has been amazing but the food is cold, it takes forever for the food to arrive, the drinks are mediocre at best. Please, we really want to give you a good review but EVERY single time we are disappointed! Please help us change our opinion. We love supporting local business but put some love into the clientele and less focus on your profit.
Updated funky old building, great food and service. The menu works for my plain Jane wife and my adventurous pallet. I was wowed 2 nights in a row by their specials; so deliciously creative. Generous portions-come hungry.Well after skiing 2 days I was braindead enough to leave my credit card and receipt on our table and our server Julie secured it. We called after our 2 hour drive home and they put our mind at ease.We so look forward to returning.
Its impossible to not enjoy yourself here. The service is phenomenal. The drinks are out of this world and Id be hard-pressed to pick a favorite menu item as everything is delicious.
A must have is the Shrimp Tacos! They were DELICIOUS!The fish tacos were just okay - the fish was pink in the middle and I like my fish cooked all the way through.

Waiter was no where to be found. Saw him twice taking a break out on the back sidewalk! Fish tacos had dry tuna and a few black beans. Had to request a sauce (as if I was at McDonalds)! Trying to take into account that its hard to find help/servers at this time, it still didnt cover the lack of attention or the poor quality of the food! Cant recommend State Steet Grill!

Updated: Gave this restaurant 3* after my first visit, and I had to change the rating. The food has been absolutely AMAZING every time Ive been there since my first visit. The only reason I cant give it 5 stars, is that the service has been lacking every single visit.Dont let this discourage you from eating here if you have the time to wait, the food is outstanding.
Took a little longer than I’m usually use to for a waitress, and had to remind her about my drink after she asked for our drink orders, but Jacqueline was very nice and helped me with questions about the menu.Ordered the Egg white sautéed mushrooms and spinach, came out perfect. Their chip appetizer was delicious as well. Definitely will come again.
Seating was a bit of a free for all, they placed my party of 6 at a table for four. Then moved us to a patio set for five... Then finally got us to a table for six. Even though we had a reservation...
Dry burger and over toasted bun. Fries tasted like they were from last week. Mcdonalds wouldve been a better choice for dinner.

The atmosphere, food and overall experience is fantastic. Their menu is diverse and well portioned. Definitely worth the stop if youre visiting the area.

The food was amazing! The atmosphere was very posh. The lighting was just right.The only thing that was a bit cold was our waitress. She wasnt the most friendly. She also mightve been newer as she didnt seem very aware of the daily specials or desserts. Her lack of friendliness mightve just been due to nerves.Will definitely be back again!

Nice brunch with booze on the weekends. They always have at least one vegetarian soup and one non, which I like. The food is okay, but it depends on the specials they are offering. Good, but not somewhere Im always craving.

SMH Family was visiting from out of town, made reservations for table of 6 . Service was great but our food a different story. All the burgers and steaks ordered were all over cooked and dried out. Very disappointed for a 200.00 bill. Probably wont be back.

Classy! What a great restaurant! Our server was so nice, our food was served at just the right pace. We enjoyed the french onion soup, a burger with sweet potato fries, the special, Ahi tuna tacos with cesar salad that was delightfully different, with a hint of lemon. Very refreshing. My burger was so juicy and Id highly recommend it. The menu was great, they have something for everyone. Gaurunteed to stop in again on our next trip to Elk Mountain.

I opened up a salon right behind the restaurant and seen how busy it gets. Figured Id see what all the fuss was about. So for my birthday my husband reserved us an igloo and it was so nice. Warm and cozy a little snuggle for 8 people but we made it work. I didnt like all the table decor they had bc it made it a bit crowded for our plates but once we took everything off it was perfect. Aervice was excellent. And food was very good. Some dishes like thw steak and salmon could of had a little bigger portions but the taste was amazing. Definitely would recommend for a night out.
Fancy dining experience implied when you walk in, but did not meet expectations. Menu was dirty, and portion sizes did not match price point when compared with other restaurants in the area. Food and beverages are good, but lacked the flair and elegance to match the premium price point.
Not only was our waitress fantastic, but she made a great recommendation for the Crabwich. I swapped out the side salad for sweet potato fries and asked if they had horse radish as a side. She excited told me that they had a great horse radish aoli of sorts. It was great and I even took the extra home with the left overs (they provided a plastic ramekin too!) Overall we had no problems, a very nice time, and really enjoyed the food.

I love the food!! It was super delicious, the atmosphere was so nice too. I wish they would put some kind of netting around the gazebos to keep the bugs out.
My boyfriend and I would go here very often when we lived near. They had a great variety of vegan options, and would even double check to make sure the meals were completely vegan. We really enjoyed dining on the patio. Would even get to see some cute doggies because they were allowed on the outside patio. Only had a problem with one waitress. My boyfriend had ordered two alcoholic beverages for himself that he wanted to try and she got real bratty about it because I was not of age at the time so she thought he was getting one for me, which is understandable, but she was very stiff towards us the whole time, even before the drinks. But everyone else was wonderful and the food is so wonderful. Always got the vegan sushi, and several other vegan dishes. The vegan soups and hummus side was always a great pick too, also the delicious tomato plate. From the beautiful food, service, and area, wouldnt let a sour head get in the way.

Both cook and waiting staff were wonderful. The chef and one of the cooks even came out to talk with us after our meal. Great food and even greater employees!
The service is outstanding. Although it gets crowded, servers are kind, attentive, and outgoing. The menu is varied in options and prices, but it does tend toward the higher end.
Their brunch is absolutely amazing. Their wait staff is always great. Plenty of outdoor seating available and reservations highly recommended.

Had a reservation for igloo dining. Wish I took some pictures. But it was an amazing atmosphere. There is a little heater in the igloo to keep it warm. Was still on the chilly side but they have blankets available. The food was delicious and came out quickly. Very friendly server.

Yikes. Made a reservation, table wasn’t ready for 40 minutes after set time. They were out of several menu options we wanted. The service was realllllyyy slow and the food was moderate. The igloos were cool to eat in though... only reason it isn’t one star. We were excited to try it but unfortunately won’t be returning.

Excellent food, great service. Our kids got flatbreads (Buffalo Chicken and Margarita) and loved them both. Highlights of the Caesar Salad include homemade croutons and hints of lemon peel. A lot of dressing (how I like it), so ask for less if you dont dig that. The mix of flavors in the fish tacos was wonderful, and the Cauliflower Wings were daring but tasty. An all around great lunch!
This place has great food and great drinks. Sitting outside during the summer is nice I love it. Awesome place to stop and have a bite to eat with some friends and catch up on old times. Not very kid friendly more of an adult place but either way I’m sure they’d be fine. I love the staff there are always great friendly and funny. Overall nice atmosphere year round!
Great hot spot in the center of town. Beautiful outdoor seating but it was also full inside on a Tuesday night. The Bartender was so friendly and made me feel comfortable as a woman alone and was incredible in his handling of the bar. The food was gourmet grill and created with a fusion of ?? Asian? I’d lost my taste for shrimp until tonight. Loved the shrimp bowl. A delicate light balance of rice, shrimp and fruit.t Th grilled shrimp were done to perfection with such a unique grilled flavor. The spices flavorful but not overwhelming. I’d recommend a little lighter on the ratio of cauliflower; perhaps a lighter vegetable like broccolini. Loved hanging in at the State Street Grill! I have eaten here before and always loved my experience, so I called to make a reservation two months in advance for a group. When I called to verify the reservation a few days before, they had no record of my reservation. I am very disappointed that they have no way to keep track of their reservations, even though they acted accommodating on the phone. I then had to scramble to find a reservation during a very busy weekend. I will definitely not be returning after they have inconvenienced me so greatly and offered only an insincere apology.
My quiche was good and my daughter loved her tuna tacos. Our server was pleasant and attentive. Our herbal tea was very good with a nice selection
There is absolutely nothing fancy about this place...food is just ok...full of fake Clarks Summit wannabe rich people.
