I visited Nevada last Thursday and really enjoyed the ambiance and the food. My server was very friendly and the food was tasty. I would like to say that its extremely important to follow good hygiene now. Getting vaccinated is a personal choice but in instances where there are multiple people, such as in a restaurant, the risk of getting sick is much higher. I havent dined inside for a while and decided to that day. Overall, the restaurant is trying to accommodate people during the pandemic.
Havent been here in years, we usually just go to our diner in town but they have been closing at 9pm & the Nevada has longer hours so we kinda rediscovered them. Food was great, service was fast & correct. We will be back!
I only bought soup for takeout. It was very good. I would have liked a larger portion, as well as some good bread to go with it.

Food tasted like school lunch. And I was overcharged! Check the menu prices of your meal, they might inflate the price on the receipt. I noticed and the manager fixed everything thankfully. But never going back

Misleading menu food description. Came to this restaurant and ordered the homemade corned beef hash & eggs. Description says “shredded” corned beef hash but what I got is a canned ground meat type of corned beef. How are you going to say it’s homemade and shredded when its clear that it’s from canned food.
Food was good, not disappointed at all. They are always a little busy but not a long wait. Staff is good and professional. I would definitely recommend.
I have been here before and todays experience felt like I was in an entirely different restaurant. While I looked at the menu, I noticed there wasnt a beverage section. I asked the waitress if they have any specialty coffees, she told me no. So I went to their website to see a section on beverages. If they couldnt fulfill special coffee orders I wish they would have been honest about that.Moving on to ordering, my fiance ordered the gluten free rolls as he has Celiac Disease. It took 10 minutes for the waitress to come back and tell us they ran out and another 7 minutes of waiting for us to order something else. Mind you there were a total of 4 tables occupied with customers.The food was pretty bad. We didnt finish our eggs and the bacon was very bland (I didnt know that could happen).While we were eating, a customer came in with her wheelchair. There were plenty of seats by the door and for some odd reason the manager had her sit almost to the back of the restaurant. She questioned him about it as well and we heard him say Oh my god under his breath. That is so rude.Finally, we waited 15 minutes for our waitress to come back so we could ask for the check, and she never did. We resorted to leaving cash on our table and leaving.Dont waste your time and money here, trust me.
The service this morning was exceptionally well. The food was fantastic, coconut fried shrimp with waffle fries, and a Greek salad. Our waiter was (FRED). I was there for breakfast this morning @ 9:30 am and this is what I ordered with no problem!!! Yes I would order it again.

I had come here for the first time and everything was actually really good from service to food and beyond, but coming back a second time I felt as if I wasnt at the same place. I had went yesterday and the service was absolutely horrible meanwhile the restaurant wasnt even that busy, but many staff were just sitting on their butts and not doing their jobs. Our waitress had only made problems worse, since she didnt even understand what we were saying, and they didnt give us what we asked. The manager who I thought was supposed to manage a restaurant couldnt even do his job instead opting to go watch a soccer game during the middle of shift. My father had ordered a sandwich with greens on the side and it turned out to be stale and rotten. Many of the other guests at our table had gotten sick from the food. I AM NEVER EVER EVER COMING BACK TO THIS TRASH ESTABLISHMENT EVER. If you guys want a great diner and you live in the NYC metro I highly recommend Tops diner in Newark or Andrews Diner in Staten Island.
The food here is diner marginal. But what really disappointed me is the way I have been treated in regards to being double billed on my CC. Upon notifying them of the double charge, instead of reaching into the cash register and paying me back the over charge they have me waiting on the CC company to fix it. I met Alex the owner, he apologized. But didn’t really acknowledge the problem. Also after putting me to the effort of two phone calls and visit didn’t even have the grace to offer me a coffee for the trouble his business caused. And their website does not have an email address, if they had one I could have sent them the proof of the overcharge without all the hassle of phone calls and the visit. Overall I am very disappointed with them and their behavior. And the problem is as I write not yet fixed. They still have my money ... and it’s nearly a month

I place a large order at 9 pm for my kids birthday party!!! Nevada diner had me waiting for over an hour!!! With two Uber driver showing up and both leaving because the order was still not prepared. At 1130 pm The establishment had my order canceled!!! I called to see why? They told me I had 3 drivers!! I only had 2 drivers!! So rite there I could feel the start of a lie coming from there end! Because you can only cancel an order on their end!! They told me a driver picked up my food and ran off with it basically. Uber canceled my order so I did not get charged they close at 1 PM!!! When I asked to replace my order they blatantly told me know that they were closing soon it was only 1130!! I don’t understand if the issue was on the Uber driver side, why would this establishment that closes at 1 o’clock in the morning not want to prepare my food!! My order was well over $200. And their customer service was beyond disappointing I would not recommend this place ever to anybody at all!!! Please think twice before ordering food here!!! This is not the first time I had an issue with Nevada diner but this will definitely be the last time!!! I wish I can give a rating lower than one star because they don’t deserve not even one star at all!!

Nevada Diner Restaurant is awesome. Its amazing place to get a great dinner for yourself, family and friends. The waiters are dedicated and professional. The atmosphere in this diner is awesome. I enjoyed the hospitality and all of the workers are very polite.
As I lay here holding my stomach, I think to myself how I wish I just went a block further to trusty McDonalds.For starters, our order consisting of a turkey club and egg,pancake breakfast took over 40 mins to get to our table. Immediately needed to rush home because we felt so sick after eating our basic food.It’s just a shame that this terrible diner can exists in the state of the nations best diners.
Ive been to this diner plenty of times and always had a decent experience. I went tonight and it was just awful. I only saw my waiter 3 times; when he took our order, when he brought our food out, and when the busboy finally found him and let him know we had been waiting for a check for about 10 minutes. I tried to be understanding that he had tables outside but it doesnt excuse completely forgetting about your guests indoors. I ordered mac n cheese for my son TWICE and it never came out. I was told the kitchen was backed up but full sized entrees for all the surrounding tables around us came out so Im pretty sure our server just forgot to put the Mac n cheese in the system to order. Left this place frustrated and with a hungry kid who I had to go elsewhere to buy food for.
First let me say we waited a good 10 mins before anyone came to the table we had 3 different servers all not attentive. The food came we never saw the server again she was eating on the other side of the EMPTY diner. We finally had to flag another server down to find our server ask for refills for our soda and she came back with them with no ice. Another server brought us boxes and the check and responded with is the change for the server..

The manager (might spell this wrong) but Angelese was absolutely amazing she went above and beyond to satisfy me ...1 customer! And I didn’t get the servers name but she was amazing as well. She could tell I didn’t like my meal, manager came right over and handled it so professionally and didn’t make me feel bad like some places do! She was genuinely happy to help to ensure that I enjoyed my meal.... also threw me a dessert on the house! That was a nice surprise, i’m writing a review because I am in this industry and I know how other places do things! I hope her boss reads this and realizes that she is a great value to the company/Business! Also for anybody reading this don’t forget to tip your effing server!!! It’s not their fault!!!!!!

It is a great restaurant location and the food is so good the waitress are so polite and such a good diner. You can get whatever you want breakfast food, burgers, seafood, and so much more. I highly recommend you coming here!
Love the food here, Ive tried a variety of dishes and a few desserts. Did not disappoint. They staff is great, dine in or pick up.
Pretty hit or miss on the quality. Some good stuff but it can depend on the day, have had good and bad. It’s definitely a decent place and a good little diner.

I enjoyed my meal of a salad, fried chicken and fries but my friends ordered the pot roast and beef stew....both were expecting brown gravy but the dishes were served with a tangy orange sauce that was not tasty.
The food was good no complaints The Waitress Christine I believe was her name she was awesome ...would definitely visit again the only thing is the sausage looks like its half they dont give reg size never seen 1 that small in my life they definitely should give 2 of those sausages then that will make you have a whole 1 its Ridiculous .. thats why they get 4 not 5
Love this restaurant for years but Ive noticed theye taken items off the menu while hiking the prices up so high its ridiculous to even pay anymore. I would understand if this was a five star restaurant but this is diner food were talking about.

Im not bothered by the food the problem is that they have a menu online for gluten free and vegetarian options. I have celiac disease so I have to have gluten free. I had given my order for a salad and then I was told it is an old salad that they no longer have. I asked if they had gluten free pasta and I was told yes, then the waiter came back to tell me they don’t have gluten free pasta anymore and I got it off an old menu. So my thing is maybe take that menu down offline, take down any advertisement indicating you have gluten free options. It’s very inconvenient for someone like myself and is false advertisement. Maybe bring back the gluten free options pasta, ect. It would probably bring more business expanding the menu for people who have special diets and or needs.
Typical NJ diner comfort food here. The menu has a very large selection of dining choices in for breakfast, lunch and dinner and prices are reasonable with many daily specials in each category. There is a glass dessert display case at the counter near the entrance filled with various options: cheesecakes, cookies, baklava and cupcakes. Overall the food tasted just “okay”, the dessert did not taste freshly made and the waitstaff seemed disinterested. They offer takeout and there are plenty of table /booth areas for seated service. The restaurant and restrooms are clean and there are parking spaces provided on the sides and in the back of the diner.
I dont know if they have a new chef/baker. Nothing is the same. The tres leches cake was so dry. Im trying to post a pic. I wont go back thats for sure. I uploaded a photo. Theres no Leche in that cake.

If I could give zero stars I would.Arrived at 10:30 pm and did not have a waiter come over to us until almost 11:00 pm.Ordered some appetizers and some entrees and both arrived at 12:00 am.I believe appetizers are supposed to come out before your actual meal, and if they aren’t at least let your table know.Our waiter then disappears for about 30 minutes, we had to call over another waiter to find our waiter.Finally the waiter comes back, we order dessert to go since we didn’t want to wait over an hour again and make it out by almost 1:00 am.Needless to say the service was horrible, and the food was okay at most.Save yourself the trouble and find another diner.

We asked the Hostess to change are table for a booth before we sit down we was 3 people and the hostess he says no booths are for 4 people and I ordered a ribeye stake they just brought the stake no sides my partner asked if he can change his sweet potato fry for regular we head to remind them to bring the fry because they just brought the half wreck of ribs and in the and they charged us for the fry and they add additional half rack of ribs to the receipt I head to get waitress attention to change the receipt I know the restaurant I have bin there many times but this is the last time I’ll go there
Ive had a bunch of food here over the years, usually breakfast and sandwiches, not the dinner platters though. Average food, but with an attentive & friendly staff. Ive never had a bad experience here.

A great place to eat good food. Ive been going there for years. A few years ago The New York Times gave it a stellar review. Since then you have to get in line to be seated. Star Travern is known for there thin crust delicious pizza, wings, salads etc. So turn your GPS on and point your car in the the direction for some finger lickin vittles. Good food, rude treatment by the folks who would seat you, especially the small Asian guy behind the register. Not a pleasant place to go and expect decent treatment, especially if you are not white! The food was nice, though.
