This is a high quality hardware store. The staff is eager to help with questions. They carry a large selection of inventory. I always enjoy the shopping experience here.

My favorite place to buy paint for my rentals. Ive had over 15 keys made here and random tools without having to walk miles and wait in crazy long lines. Best place to buy Killz paint for cleaning smoke, water, or anything discoloring a wall or ceiling.

Better selection of plumbing repair parts than menards.

Phenomenal customer service. They carry quality brands and stand behind what they sell. I needed a part for my snowblower and was able to get help and he took me to the exact spot of where the item was located. They also have a great selection of grilling supplies at great prices.

This is a great hardware store that is not the big box type and almost always have what you need. I had to replace some gaskets on my bathroom faucet, grab lump charcoal, and furnace air filters. They had everything I needed.

First time visiting, originally said they didnt sell the parts we needed and went to look for other kitchen tools until they stopped us once they found the part we need so I really appreciate them coming to find us for the part we needed in the first place! Quick and easy, helpful in pointing to where everything is.

But some flowers in the greenhouse had a wonderful experience because of the gal who helped us her name was Peggy she had a lot of knowledge great suggestions wonderful experience I thought customer service was dead not when theres Peggy around thank you for the good time

Used Ace for many urs. Never met a ruder Mgr at any place ever. If I were you Id use any other one again but this one. Completely their fault accepted no responsibility for their mistake and would expect it to get no better under current mgmt.

Disappointing policy on greenhouse. Tried to exchange tomato plants that had not been planted and had developed spotting on leaves. Was informed that they are a hardware store who have a greenhouse versus an actual greenhouse. Disappointing after hundreds of dollars spent in the greenhouse.

Always super helpful and attentive help at this store. I stopped going to other hardware stores in the area because I never get as good of service elsewhere!

Equipment warranty is worthless. Will never go back after terrible experience. Jeff (owner) not only declined to make it right but was rude too.

Tried dealing with the owner of the hardware store this morning on a lawn mower part. Owner would not help me because he said hes short-staffed and has no time for maintaining used machines. Only interested in selling new ones. I guarantee I wont have that problem at RDO they have knowledgeable people there to help them with their machines and sell them parts. This is nothing against the mechanic down at Ace hardware he is wonderful but the owner of the store, Jeff has horrible customer service.Surprised hes still in business after talking to people like that.

Most under noticed store in this area. Best of all stores for so many things. Staff is friendly helpful and willing to help. If u are looking for something through here, Menards, Lowes etc. I gladly will choose ace each time. **applause**

They have chains over the entire tool section. Idiotic and it only hurts them in the end. Most of the employees are ok but clearly the place is ran by a fool.

Only place I go anymore for that special piece Ive been looking for to use on my model equipment I build from scratch. Friendly service along with being prompt. What I love most about Ace is that there is always someone ready to help!! Don’t have to run around the store looking for things, but it is nice to walk around and look! Great kitchenware, and if you can’t find it anywhere, you can find it at Ace!! Love it!!

I love all the Ace Hardwares in this area. It really is the helpful place.I will never step foot in the other hardware stores in town. Cant find anything and no one knows anything. At Ace they will help me right away and are super patient with my sometimes vague descriptions of what I am looking for. I really like the paint guys and they have taught me a lot.

Iv been their three times because customers service is better than Lowes..and if the manager is their then the customer service is amazing in and out in 10 min..I was their for an hour and nobody helped me...walked out empty handed..I hope next visit is better when the manager is their

So far I had went into this store in high hopes that they had the light I would need to replace in my led fiber optic tree. Just so happened they did. The employees there where so very kind and sweet helping right away with any needs. It was a wonderful experience my first time being in an Ace store. I will continue to come back for all hardware and light needs. 😊

I cant imagine getting anything done without Kirkwood Ace Hardware. I end up having to visit a hardware store at least once a week. Ace is centrally located with really convenient parking. A person doesnt need a map to navigate the modestly sized store and they usually have any item you can fathom, from powertools to paints to the random widget. The biggest thing for me though is the customer service. Ace staff are always available, friendly, and eager to help.

Due to my complicated living situation currently and, well, lets be honest, currently and for most of my adult life, I have had to have dozens of keys made, many locks replaced, plenty of spray paint purchases, duct tape by the mile, lengths of hose, and a couple of pocket knives. Every time I patronized Kirkwood Hardware, I left onna high. Excellent service, knowledgeable employees, and patience educating your clients. A++

I was not asked to be helped the 20 minutes I looked around in this store. I finally was face to face with a sales employee on the floor, he looked me (as the others did) and turned away. I turned at the aisle next to him, set down my items (I couldnt find a couple important items like a face mask) and walked out. The cashier was non friendly, almost rude.I spent mostly all of my working career starting when I was 14 years old in sales/customer service. At that age I couldve stomped these people in a customer appreciation contest.

I recently bought an 8 Black Cube by Frieling pan from this store for 59.99. It was a piece of garbage. Not at all nonstick. DO NOT BUY this product. You will be better off spending your money on something else.I went to the store to exchange this product for something else. Not only would they not exchange it because it had been used (how else would you know a nonstick pan does not work), the person in charge who spoke to me was quite rude. I would recommend you take your money and business elsewhere. This place does not deserve your business.

Customer service is lacking when it comes to lawn mowers. We bought a very expensive Toro lawn mower from this store 3 years ago, and tried to bring it in last October (2018) for servicing as it failed to work properly after only one summers use. The individual in charge of the service department very abruptly and rudely told us to leave, as they would not be servicing our lawnmower because they were busy with snowblowers. He wouldnt even let us ask one question about the mower to see if we could fix it ourselves. It is now July 2019 and I called again to have the lawnmower serviced. I was told I need to bring in my machine, fill in a work order, and leave the machine there where they *might* be able to get to servicing it a week and a half later. Pretty disappointed in this store.

I was in Ace doing some shopping. I overheard a conversation with a customer and the owner/manager. I absolutely could not believe how rude he was to the customer. She politely tried to end the conversation a couple times and he just kept it up. I was so appalled that I put my items down and went to get my things at a different store. Dont think I will ever be back!

This is the original Ace Hardware in Bismarck. Staff is friendly, always ready to help. Though honestly, since the north location opened, I dont think Ive been back to this one! Theyre both owned by the same person so I dont feel too guilty for abandoning the Kirkwood Ace.

Went to Ace on the southside of Bismarck today to get a gasket for my mower. Was told by the owner himself sorry we cant help you today our service department us closed.. what kind of customer service is that.. you pride yourself with Toro mowers but cant get parts on a weekend!!!! Total BS .. I worked at Marvs hardware for many yrs and although we didnt have a mechanic there on weekends . Employees were trained on knowing how to find parts !! Most people are weekend warriors when it comes to house/yard projects and to be that inconsiderate of a customers needs when you are a Toro dealer and owner !!! Looks like your turning into a big box stores!!! You should probably let people know on your commercials you cant get parts on weekends .. instead of saying we have everything you need!!!!!!
