My husband and I were on vacation near Birmingham and really wanted a milkshake and ice cream. We were very unsuccessful finding a store till we talked to a police officer. He directed us to Bluff Park Ice Cream Shoppe. The owner, David Hare, was so friendly and gave us the history of the Shoppe. The ice cream is from Wisconsin and is so tasty. The Zanzibar chocolate is very rich and creamy. We are so glad we found this store.

Stopped by for some sweet treats and we were not disappointed! So glad we were sent here on the recommendation of an employee at Tip Top Grille.This ice cream shop is spotless and adorably decorated. They offer a very wide variety of flavors, as well as other sweet treats. The girl who served us was extremely pleasant and welcoming, giving us samples and talking with us briefly about Birmingham.I had the chocolate brownie flavor, I forget the exact name. It was good - about on par with Ben and Jerrys version. However, my parents had the Zanzibar, their award-winning chocolate ice cream, and both agreed that it was some of the best chocolate ice cream theyd ever had. I must agree - it was amazing!If you find yourself in the area, go grab some Zanzibar ice cream!

Peanut Butter Cookie Dough and Bourbon Pecan Pie are my two favorites.

Were from out of town and were craving ice cream, so we figured wed give this place a try. So glad we did! Such a cute little shop. They were dead when we were arrived, but within minutes filled up and the three young men working jumped into gear. They were all incredibly friendly! Ice cream was great, I LOVE munchie madness! Highly recommend. Well come back if ever were out this way again.

This is a great find in the Birmingham, AL area - I found it by accident. GREAT, unique ice cream flavors here including Zanzibar Chocolate, Exhausted Parents blend, along with traditional flavors like Butter Pecan & Praline Almond, etc. It used to be Cash Only but they now accept credit/debit cards. Staff there are young, helpful & know their product. Definitely will be back, this is worth the trip!!

Were mostly chocolate 🍨 lovers and they only had one flavor ☹️, crazy I know. On top of that they were running out of it and they didnt have more in the back. I ended up trying other flavor but it didnt impressed me at all, also they didnt have homemade cones 😒

My son convinced us to go by her for some ice cream after diner one night. Man what a surprise!!Bluff park ice cream is a hidden gem that everyone needs to know about!!Multiple flavor choices with a variety of cones or cups. Service was spectacular, the girls waiting on us were willing to help with any questions even had.I picked the peanut butter cookie dough ice cream. Wow, what a flavor combination! It had vanilla ice cream with Carmel, chocolate swirls and chucks of peanut butter cookie dough.Prices were reasonable, the facility was spotless and the staff was wonderful! This place put Brewster’s to shame.We will definitely be back! This is a must go to for a sweet treat while in Bluff Park!!

This is my favorite ice cream shop in town! Always have an excellent selection of new/rotating flavors that are un matched in the Birmingham area. Staff are friendly and willing to let you sample anything. Very clean establishment. Toppings are top notch and serving sizes are generous.

Their ice cream was amazing both in variety and ingenuity. I am always surprised by their various flavors and delighted by every spoonful with their color changing spoons. You will not find a more friendly ice cream shop anywhere else in Birmingham. This last time, they let my friends and I stay literally up until they closed. Ill be going back soon.

Really friendly ladies working today (Labor Day) who were kind to my family (including my grandmother in her eighties in a wheelchair). She loved it too, and was happy to see some no sugar added flavors, as she is diabetic. Will definitely be back for some more banana cream pie ice cream. It tastes just like Banana Pudding!

What a fun place to visit! Loads of great flavors of ice cream and not your run of the mill flavors. There are all sorts of fun mixes like chocolate, almond and coconut. I love the home town feel too.

If you go to this place, order ice cream, and then put said ice cream on your head, your tongue will literally beat your brains out to get to it. I love going to this place! Great ice cream shoppe. They offer, sundaes, shakes, malts and of course, ice cream. The flavor selections are excellent and included moose tracks, zanzibar chocolate, superman, orange sherbet and many others. Locations was clean and the employees were helpful and cheerful.

I’m from out of town and went there to get ice cream for me and my brother’s family. I was going to get two lemon blueberry cheesecake sundaes, which are advertised on their website- made with lemon poppyseed ice cream and a slice a real cheesecake— the girls working there had never heard of it and said that they don’t have cheesecake or even the lemon poppyseed ice cream. Then we wanted the spicy whisky truffle, Oreo espresso and cake batter fudge— they had none of these. All of them are shown on their site and not marked as seasonal and I wasted 30 minutes round trip- so disappointing.

The employees were extremely friendly and welcoming. The establishment was very nice and clean. I will definitely be visiting again whenever I am home again.
