Absolutley incredible service! The staff was so friendly & every person I saw was doing their job while still creating a peaceful environment. The avacado toast was the best I’ve had and well worth the cost! Coming from The Townsend, where I waited 40 minutes for water, I was mind blown by the amazing service at Birmingham Roast.

Solid vibe, and didn’t have to take a second mortgage for some avocado toast. Outdoor seating area is enclosed and really spacious, so in these *unprecedented* times, even on a chilly, breezy day you can enjoy your froofy latte outside in relative warmth.

I went in to pick up my doordash order and no one greeted me on that Sunday morning. Not a single staff person. No one gave me eye contact and I felt an indifference of attitude. Please do better. That encounter was disheartening especially in the social climate were in today.

Amazingly delicious! Best cafe in metro Detroit. Almost every morning, I order their breakfast bagel along with a cold brew. Never disappoints! Will be trying more stuff from their menu.

When I have to stand there for over 15 mins before being offered help while your employees shoot the breeze while another is fooling around on her phone that is NOT ACCEPTABLE. Then to tell me it will be an additional 20 to 30 mins? Yeah sorry but there is no excuse. This is not the first time of poor service here.

After having a bad experience at the Starbucks reserve, I walked here and had a much better time. Friendly staff & delicious coffee. Also, gluten-free treats.

Staff members are always very nice and willing to help at whatever you need. Good quality drinks and beautiful interior space for studying, business greetings, etc. A local favorite of mine and my wives.

This place is amazing!!! Have been several times and always greeted with smiles. Really enjoy the breakfast food options and the staff is attentive and professional. Have taken my family here and have had happy campers all around! Some of the best breakfast in town and much better coffee than Starbucks!!!

Amazing brunch/breakfast place in Birmingham! The staff is extremely friendly and the service fast and accurate. They have a wide selection of original drinks that I haven’t seen in any other coffee places. I particularly like the Honey Joy, which has rose water, honey, and lavender. Their food is also delicious, made with fresh ingredients (eggs, avocados, salmon etc). The place is located under an office, so it can get busy sometimes, but definitely worth a visit. Drinks can be on the pricier side.

I dropped my large latte on the way out and walked in to by another one and the remade it for free. So kind. Loved the rose latte, it was immaculate.

Literally the best coffee shop in bham! I’ve been coming here for years and the service never disappoints not to mention they just keep adding more amazing food options on the menu. The almond joy and Kupa joy frappes have been my favorite for years.

The lady at the register was very rude and disrespectful. Doesn’t appear they care about their customers and are ungrateful. With so many coffee shops around choose one that respects their customers. Oh and by the way, my mask was on! If the barista supposedly followed the rules, I would hope the owner of the business would teach his staff to respectfully tell their customers to pull their masks up without power tripping, and getting rude. I have to say that my husband and I went to this coffe shop and we received more than AMAZING service by the sweet two gentlemans working there, one of them might have been the owner. I was looking for a nice atmosphere with good coffe, and this place exceeded my expectations. I always look for different flavors or tastes and I happened to say this out loud to them, they had no problem with the request of me loving exotic / different flavors and I had the most delicious lavender scent coffee recommended by the owner. Thank you so much I really enjoyed my experience in this business and I will recommend 100% to everybody and I will be coming back 😁.

The coffees are perfect. The place is really cute, but not a lot of seating space. This is the kuppa joy frappe which was amazing. If you like strong flavors I would recommend adding a shot of espresso. Nice people too. :)

Having celiac disease this is my favorite place! They have pastries that are GLUTEN FREE!!! Way better than Starbucks in my opinion! Also the coffee really good too. The environment is peaceful and quiet for studying or just catching up on work.Very clean place too which is always important now more than ever!

Absolutely wonderful! Definitely worth the money to spend there. Our baristas had some unruly customers who gave them a hard time with respecting the restaurant’s dine-in restrictions, which unfortunately caused myself and my boyfriend to leave. Despite the customers being complete buttheads to our baristas, the incredible ladies on the clock today handled themselves professionally, kindly, and with such grace. Wonderful staff, beautiful restaurant, phenomenal food and coffee. We look forward to coming back!

I placed an order for my coworkers and I through DoorDash for some breakfast and coffees but could not change certain parts of my order. I called and spoke with Becca and she made sure I was ordering correctly and that my changes would be implemented. Becca even made a suggestion for me to simply my order. I highly recommend Birmingham Roast for their attention to detail and customer satisfaction. Everything arrived as we discussed and it was delicious!

This shop is just down the street from my work and I love stopping in for breakfast or coffee on my way in! breakfast burrito is delicious and so is the challah french toast!oh, AND they can put custom designs on your latte, it’s prettyyyy cool ;)

I really like this place. Whenever I visit Birmingham, I always stop by here to get a cup of coffee. Fresh and tasty. Beans are also great. They have them from maybe Seattle? Sometimes the beans are out of date but usually good.

This place man! One of my go-to spots whenever Im in Birmingham. Great coffee, a relaxing vibe with outdoor seating are just three main reasons to come take a sip. Ive taken a pic (for the gram) of their signature Golden joy, which has crème brûlée infused milk.. I mean if that doesnt make you say oh la la I dont know what will!

For the number of people working behind the counter, the orders should be coming out a lot faster. Someone please explain to me how you can have 5 people behind the bar and I still have to wait 15-20 minutes for a drink. Some of the baristas just stand around.

They make their milkshakes like blended coffee drinks sometimes:(. Some employees make them well like a milkshake should be made. Others put way too much milk other even put ice into the blender.To management, please teach your staff to make shakes.

Super yummy! I tried the Spicy Chai Latte. The staff was super helpful and kind. Helped me put baby Yoda on my latte. Definitely will come again.

Coffee is good but staff did not tell the customer before me to wear his mask even though there were many signs saying that you had to wear a mask to enter/be served - it was very uncomfortable after that to be inside and waiting for my food/drink.

Need to get the fine art of making HOT espresso 😷

I got a golden honey, which I really, really enjoyed. I am not a black coffee drinker and this played directly to my sweet tooth. A lot of flavor; in fact almost covering the coffee taste. The ambience was nice, and the drink finished almost before I got to the end of the counter. A good place to sit and talk, or do homework, located right across from a convenient parking garage.

I went to Birmingham Roast yesterday to get out of the cold and try a new place while getting some work done. The place is fairly small, but very clean and tasteful. Coffee was standard. Not thrilled that my sisters coffee was placed in a to go cup despite the fact we were staying. I ordered a latte and it was very beautiful but really just standard. Overall it is okay however I prefer the reserve bar in Birmingham better.
