Boy is this little shop a treat! Im a bit sad that we didnt discover this while we actually lived a little bit closer to this area. Ah well, well still return!The sandwiches are HUGE (as a sign on the front door indicates). Its no joke either. The Mrs and I split a sandwich (wasnt starving) and had a brew a piece. We sat outside because the weather was nice. What a great lunch date! The meat on the sandwiches is very very moist and tasty! Bread is good, beer was tasty and you cant quite go wrong with Zapps Voodoo chips!! I actually havent read the other reviews to come before me, so Im not sure if this has been mentioned but this place really reminds me of Mr. Ps. Thats a compliment if anybody from New York Butcher Shoppe reads this.The service was great, friendly, genuine and personal! Great customer service can do wonders for a visit anywhere! We didnt take advantage of any fresh meats for purchase, but wouldnt be opposed to it at all if they are as fresh as the deli meats. Theres no reason for this place to have any less than 5 stars. Great food, great service, great locale, great selections, great time!

These guys have all the best cuts and they get you out fast. If you browse for a minute, you can find top craft beer, interesting wine, and excellent cheeses.

All around amazing! Ive bought countless steaks, sides and sandwiches before. While I usually pick up pork shoulders for smoking at the grocery store, I decided to pick one up from the New York Butcher Shoppe this time. It was amazing! Best one Ive ever cooked. I smoked this one the same way I always have, but the quality here is so much better than what I usually get from the grocery store.

Amazing!!!! Their meatloaf, meatball parmesan, tuna, potato salad and spinach souffle are out of this world!! The staff are super friendly and helpful. One of my favorite places to stop to pick up dinner. Highly recommend! You wont be disappointed!!

You can really taste the work & love that goes into their meats. Best sandwich shoppe Ive visited in Birmingham! And they carry Slap Ya Mama which has become difficult. Friendly staff just makes you wanna come back and collect all their t-shirts

The best sandwiches in Birmingham. Meat is a lil pricey. One of the best things about them are the frozen dishes and the side dishes ready to eat. Goat cheese mashed potatoes are amazing. Also have cornbread dressing thats in the freezer.

All of the sandwiches Ive had were very good. Its enough for two meals. They have a great selection of premium meat cuts, specialty cheeses, local beer, and wine.

Ive never been disappointed in their sandwiches, their meats, their sides, their seasoning, or their beer and wine selection. They even have really good sweet tea. Great one stop shop for lunch, dinner or cookout.

If you want a REAL sandwich, then you should stop here! Talk about professional butchers that know what they are doing!! The food here is great! They also have beer and chips if you want to eat your meal there. Its not a full service restaurant so dont expect for them to bring food to your table and clean up after you.

Jim and his staff are the best! We dont even go out to steakhouses anymore because the prime filet cut is so choice. Also, the Wine of the Month Club is a fantastic way to try fantastic wines!

After V Richards closed this place has become from what I can tell the place to go for quality. The quality of the cuts and ground beef are equivalent to where one would pay in hoyty toyty restaurants $30.00 for a hamburger and $50.00 for a steak.
