I have been going to The Italian Dish for years now. Never disappointing! Beautiful merchandise with Hollys buying trips to Italy. Beautiful store and very welcoming. As soon as you arrive, they will ask if you would like a complimentary espresso. Feels like you are transported to Italy to forget about things for awhile. Definitely worth the visit in beautiful Downtown Birmingham, Michigan!

I had a wonderful experience with Holly who helped me create my bridal registry at this store. I was greeted with a smile and offered an espresso to enjoy while I browsed the store. Many of my wedding guests were able to order from out of state and gift wrap was included. Each year I visit the store and add more pieces to my dish collection. I love the variety of dishes this store offers and how they stand the test of time. I’ve had my collection of Vietri dishes for over a decade now.

I ordered 2 Italian made Christmas ornaments for Babys First Christmas. The artist was in town Dec. 2 to personally sign them. One ornament was perfect. The second ornament was difficult to find when I went to pick them up but they did eventually locate it. When I got home, I discovered the lost ornament was not signed by the artist. Of course, they didnt point this out to me in the store. I called and spoke to the owner. She said What would you like me to do about it? It was a human error. Youre just going to have to live with one signed and one un-signed ornament. Maybe the artist will come back next year and you can get it signed then. I trusted they would handle the purchased ornaments and signing by the artist. They assured me they do it all the time. It was a very disappointing experience. Their response was even more disappointing. Theyve lost a customer. Buyers beware!

I always enjoy my experience when I go to The Italian Dish. Holly and the Dishettes are very helpful and friendly. The merchandise is very unique and beautifully displayed. The store is warm, inviting, and charming.

I placed an online order last night with Italian dish and received email confirmation. This afternoon the owner Holly called me, due a computer error the price listed online was lower than what she could sell the items for. Of course I was disappointed and feel the order placed should be filled at the price listed online.She called me dumb and said similar items are more expensive and I should have known. Holly used profanity and I dont appreciate being talked to in that manner for an error on her part.This is a bad representation for Birmingham and I feel you should know. Worst customer service ever.
