Very nice, friendly, and honest staff from the front desk to the mechanics. When they say they stand by their work they really do. I drive a Ford F-150 and they did a flex plate + starter replacement for me and the truck runs like a CHAMP!!!! I thought I needed some other things done, they had their team to look at it for me and gave their honest opinion which was no repair was needed at the time.Fast-Forward two weeks later I had a problem with my truck thought that might have been attributed to the work I previously had done. After review it wasnt, but the fix to my problem was simple enough that they said theyd look out for me and take care of me...they didnt even charge me, and I offered to pay.That some act of good faith has made them PRIMARY go-to mechanic for both my vehicles and I STRONGLY RECOMMEND them. The way they treated me and other customers, and the honesty + transparency I heard from them when talking to customers.

My second visit to Christian Brothers they failed to correctly diagnose my problem correctly. They replaced ball joints but control arm bushings were bad as well. They should have replaced control arms. New control arms come with the bushings and ball joints. Instead I paid 800 first time for lower ball joints. And 150 for the bushings. How nice of them to install bushings for free. After all It was their mistake. For what I paid in total I could of had new lower control arms as well. Feel like I got ripped off. Not my fault they couldnt see the control arm bushings were bad. Another shop saw it right away when I went to get an oil change and front end alignment. Will definitely not return to this place. Atleast not knowledgeable in front end work. They get zero stars from me. WAY OVER PRICED

The staff was friendly and professional. The service area and waiting area were very clean. Email Service to explain all issues, describe the service, and the cost is sent for approval to the customer to decide the services you want or need done. Once you send the Email back… the service begins. Very convenient. Also, they provide a shuttle to take where you need to go, if you decide you cannot wait for your vehicle.

I like the people there, but the prices are usually over priced. They said $1,035 on an alternator and I got it done for $435 (still a new alternator). Great people though and when I got my radiator fixed I remember getting a warranty on it.

My truck was due for tire rotation and balancing so i looked around town at the local automotive places online for good reviews, and this place came up. So I accepted an appointment with them for a tire rotation and balance at 9 am. They texted me five minutes before 3 pm when they were done and 5 mins later i am there to pick up my truck. When I get to my truck and open the door, i notice that the whole driver side door is coated in pollen and is soaking wet (since it is raining on this day). It appears that they had left my window open for the majority of the day while completing the service. Updated my review to 5 stars, the owner Brandon reached out to me to follow up with my review. I have used Christian Brothers Automotive in Hoover a few times now. I have an old 81 Chevy van that my family uses as a locker for our camping, and needless to say, it has been a challenge getting it long-distance road worthy. I believe the mechanics name that always fixes me up is William. Ive been told that he has a lot of experience with older vehicles/motors. So far, hes been able to correct mistakes made by other mechanics in my area. I only wished that I wouldve found him sooner. Additionally, Christian Brothers has an amazing system that keeps you updated on status via text every time another step in the process is expected/completed. I can only hope that they continue to provide such outstanding service (Ive given them my van about 3 times already), as it is so frustrating looking for a reliable mechanic that will not only complete the work, but actually do it right.

Let me just say, there are not enough stars on this review that can show the exceptional experience that my family and I had with Christian Brothers. I have a 2011 Ford F150 that we spent about 2 months trying to get repaired at 2 different Ford Service locations (CenterPoint & Southside). We spent a few hundred dollars only to be told that they were not sure what the problem was and could not fix it. There would be weeks at time where we did not hear from them and had to call to check on the progress. We would also drive by their lot and see the truck just sitting in the parking lot. My son found Christian Brothers online, we scheduled an appointment. EXCEPTIONAL!!! Constant updates by text, everything was clear and precise. The office atmosphere and customer service is impeccable! My truck was fixed in 2 days! I cant stress this enough, dont hesitate to contact them. Thanks CB!

I was traveling from out of state and needed my vehicle fixed to make it back home.I was assured I needed a distributor in which I was charged over $700. Unfortunately, their mechanic failed to adjust the timing and now I have a Camshaft error code (signal comes from distributor) and the vehicle sputters worse than before. It ran fine till about 5-10 minutes on the highway. By that time, I just wanted to get home, due to being broken down on the side of the road since 0200 that day. Unfortunately, I am having a difficult time finding their chain in my area, Wichita Falls, TX, or anyone to respond.Also, immediately after I received my truck from them, I had a loss of pressure on my clutch. I was weary after watching their mechanic drive in and out of the bay as Id imagined that he realized the timing was off and the idle was rough. By the time I reached Dallas, the only choice I had was to power shift home. After verifying, a bolt on my brand new slave cylinder was completely sheared and caused it to slowly leak. I do not hold them solely responsible for this because it is in an old truck, but again pressure loss was noticeable immediately.I am willing to adjust my review if theyre able to rectify the ignition issue. Otherwise, I just feel silly for not trusting my gut and finding a larger chain. Their customer service, in the shop, is however superb.

Christian Brothers is always the best service experience and the only place I would take a car to in the Birmingham area. The staff is always very courteous and nice. They will complete the service you ask for and give you suggestions from their courtesy inspection but do not up sell you. They simply give you the information and allow you to make an informed decision. I took my wifes car in this morning and after every time I go there I am compelled to leave a review because they deserve it. Do yourself, and your car, a favor and go to Christian Brothers.

I took my vehicle to Christian Brothers because I know the people there and they do great work!I know I have lots of choices in auto repair places but when I need good, quality work, I know I can trust Brandon and his team! I had headlight issues on my vehicle and they did a check on the wiring and electrical system, and found that it was a simple fix with a couple of clips on the headlights that were undone. So hard to find a good, honest mechanic. Christian Brothers has gone above and beyond what I have come to expect from any business. Their communication is top notch, speed of service and professionalism is unmatched. I took my vehicle to them after giving up on another mechanic that ran me in circles and couldn’t seem to tell the truth besides treating me as though I was a dumb female that didn’t deserve basic respect. They will be my mechanic period.

I drive a real beater and it needs a lot of stuff serviced but they didn’t try to push anything down my throat or sell me anything I didn’t need! They take pictures of everything they recommend and let you see them online. Very great service and I will be returning in the future!

We dropped our car off for a diagnostic on an ODBII code that came up on our vehicle. After looking and it and driving it several times the light never came on for them and they were unable to diagnose the problem. They were so gracious and did not charge us anything. What a great company. We will definitely continue to use them.

Christian Brothers is a fantastic shop with excellent customer service, and good, speedy work ethic. However, do be prepared to pay for it as their shop is on the pricey side. Your car will be repaired correctly, and timely, with a warranty; however it may be best to contact other local shops first to get price comparisons before agreeing to have the work done there. It goes back to you get what you pay for; but other shops in the area do offer similar service for a less luxurious price.

They were very helpful. They let me know what was wrong and kept me informed on when they completed assessing my vehicle. I am unsure why I was charged 65.00 dollars when I didn’t get any services rendered. I previously called and asked the price of the transmission assessment and I was told 100 dollars. When I was told I didn’t need transmission check I asked to check the issue that was told to me. I was unable to leave my car that day for the issue. The staff was very nice and answered all of my questions, I just didn’t know it would cost me 65 dollars for advice.

I really appreciated the quick, walk-in service and the demeanor of the staff. I called for an appointment first thing in the morning and was able to get my car serviced quickly. The system used to electronically send estimates was a lot more convenient than having to jot down all of the issues and costs myself as well. Overall, I had a great experience at Christian Brothers and plan to return for my servicing needs.

After a full day of trying to find a mechanic to work on my Ford engine, I discovered Christian Brothers. Who knew Ford dealership mechanics dont know how to work on Ford engines? Luckily I found William and John. They worked me in without an appointment, and let me watch while talking me through their work. This was late afternoon and their bays were full, so they were working out in sunny 95° heat, yet never complained. Everyone knew they had me because I really needed this work done that day, yet the bill was very reasonable. Good job, Christian Brothers!

I am extremely happy with the customer service and work performed. I took them my 2006 Suburban with 184k miles. They spent time with me on the phone taking down all my concerns. They did a complete inspection, fixed what I told them was broken. Diagnosed the check engine light and replaced a sensor for $86! (Who does that??? $86? Nothing costs only $86 now days!) Told me other concerns I had did not need addressing right now. (They could have told me I needed brakes and a whole steering assembly but said it was all fine.) Worked with my extended warranty company and finished the work on time. No up selling! Prices charged are great. Everyone was polite. They kept me informed of the progress via text message. They will get all my work from now on. By the way, they have 180 stores around the country.

I was sent to Christian Brothers Automotive through Carmax (who I have an extended warranty with) due to their maintenance department having no appointments for several weeks. Id never been to Christian Brothers before, and I give them 5 excellent stars. Not only did they promptly identify and fix the problem, but they shuttled me back to work on my lunch break AND picked my one year old daughter and myself up from work when I got off to take us back to get my car. He held doors, installed car seats, was early at pickup, and was helpful through the entire process. It was easy, everything handled, and actually pleasant considering the circumstances! I took my car here for an oil change and they did an inspection and found I had a leak. I have an extended warranty and they contacted them and got everything worked out with the warranty people. Oil change was performed quickly but the price felt high to me personally, over double what in used to paying. Scheduling was an issue as my request for an afternoon appointment was initially ignored and I was rescheduled for a morning time slot on a different date without my approval or denial. I felt it could have been handled better but I was able to get my desired afternoon time slot

I had to take my car into their shop on Hwy 31 in Pelham, Al.Very nice people, they had to wait on part to get there and i had to just sit there and wait, but they were extremely nice to me, would come see if i needed anything, kept me updated on how things were going on my car. One guy even came and talked to me for probably 30 minutes or longer, which kept me company. I would very much recommend anyone to use them for their vehicle troubles.But the best thing about this place is it is all Christian atmosphere, the radio station they played was Christian music. Very very nice. Anytime your car needs repair it’s a tremendous burden and the costs are unknown but you need your car. I never go to the dealer because they over charge you but I hope everyone knows that. I brought my car here and they gave me a ride home while they looked at it. Brandon and the team at Christian Brothers are amazing! Seriously, Id drive an hour to get my car serviced by these guys because not only are they experts with cars but they know the meaning of integrity. If you have any doubts about your current mechanic and you live anywhere close to Birmingham then Id highly recommend you give these guys a call.

My truck somehow got a bad brake line while my daughter borrowed it to move something out of town. Not knowing what was wrong with it or who to trust and being at a disadvantage because I’m 3 hours away, I had her take it to Christian Bros because of the good reviews. So glad I did! They were compassionate and professional. They came up with a solution that cost me half as much so I didn’t have to wait for a factory part over the weekend. Very pleased and I highly recommend these folks.
