My friends and I did not have Softies in a few years, and we went there a few days ago, and it was great. We all ordered something different EI, Banana and Blue Goo Flavored cones, and a Mango Smoothie. They were great, and instead of being sedentary we decided to go on a walk, because in our opinions, they are the perfect treat to do so. The employees were friendly and efficient. Overall, 10/10 for flavor, staff, and speed.

Amazing mom and pop ice cream spot. You can seat in your car or outside and enjoy the weather if its not too hot.Lots and lots of ice cream flavors and combination. Trying the vanilla with toasted coconut next.Dont miss it.

I used to love softies it WAS the best. Now days the service is horrible and the slushy flavors taste old and gross. Today my son ordered a birthday cake dip which is on the menu but they said they can’t do that but he had a birthday cake dip a week earlier. When I received my sons baby cone they handed it to me with the ice cream falling down the side and dripping. Is good customer service just too hard for people these days?

Rude Service by employees and management. I have been coming to this establishment every other day (when they’re open) for 2 years. Recently the management decided to hire a new crew which is completely incompetent and also asked that the sizes of the cones be cut in half. You used to get a nice big ice cream cone if you ordered a large cone. Now you get like a DQ size medium for your $4.00.I can get a Ben & Jerry’s Pint for less than that and not have to deal with the “New Crew” and the insincere, cheap, rude, and usually never present “management. Stay away the ice cream is good but for the prices they charge and the way they treat the “regulars” let alone your “Average Joe”,I’d stay away. I used to love it but have been treated badly so many times in recent weeks I felt a need to warn others that this is no longer the same “Softies” we all knew and loved. Too bad, used to be my favorite part of the day…

The icecream was very good very tasty I got a dipped cotton candy cone. My daughter got a cup of strawberry icecream and my husband got the sour green apple cone.. but the lady that was at the front taking our order was rude and not good communication with customers.. Im not sure if Ill go back theirs other good and better places. First time there as well and not too good of customer service.

There ice cream is so good especially there dip cones. And they will get your order out to you in matter of minutes and there do make the orders in the orders of the people that where in line it so cool

The ice cream is good and you can get it dipped in all kinds of flavored coatings. Chocolate, strawberry, cherry, and butterscotch just to name a few. The swirl cone is my favorite. You get half chocolate and half vanilla. No hard choice to make! Prices are family friendly.

Took my family here the other night and i can see why there is normally a line. This was some really good soft serve and smoothies. The family was very happy with the surprise. I can see this being a locals hot spot since it really does not look like much from the outside. Glad we went and we will be going back!

Great selection and fast service! The butter pecan ice cream cone I had was delicious! Definitely recommend stopping and getting a great treat on a nice day. They also have really reasonable prices I think I paid $3.50 for a medium cone.

The ice cream was delicious with a swirl of refreshing fruit flavor. The staff was fast and kind. A manager offered my dog a pup cup. We will definitely keep visiting.

This is one of those true local spots. I grew up in Billings and its been around ever since I can remember. To be honest the ice-cream isnt necessarily mind blowing, its good though. What makes it stand out, other than it being a local spot, is the variety of different cones, dipped cones, sundaes, and slush drinks they offer.

I really enjoy their ice cream. I love a good soft-serve place, and this is a good one. Chocolate cone is my typical choice. I wish they had better menu signage; that is something this business could improve on. Parking is a little tough, but that really isnt the establishments fault.

There always great, a good friendly stop with family and friends, to meet people in line, or just to get out and enjoy great ice cream of all mixes,to match that craving. Yummy for the tummy.

Billings institution! You know its summer when it opens for business and winter is here when it closes for the season.Kids working there are always friendly and the ice cream is great.

Great ice cream! Bit pricey.

Its seasonal so be sure it is open. Think in terms of craving count Chocula Cereal in January. Gotta have it but it will not be on the market until October. It is worth the wait, but like crack, you might crave it all the time. You just cant sell yourself to get it in the winter.

Ice cream is delicious and the price is reasonable but it hasn’t been remodeled since it was built. It’s ridiculous they don’t even have a shady/comfortable spot to eat the ice cream. My kids and I couldn’t sit down and eat ice cream because the seats were so hot they burnt us when we sat down. I know they make plenty of money but they can’t even spend a little money to make it more comfortable for customers.

Great ice cream selection and pretty good service. But the parking lot is terrible!! My friend and I went there this afternoon. She tripped but didn’t fall in a pothole and I fell down and scraped my knee pretty badly and hurt my foot right in front of the Softie’s stand. Fix your parking lot!!! :(

For the first time in many years we had a horrible experience!I took my younger to 11 and 14. Old enough to know exactly what they want.My 14 year old ordered a small peanut butter shake. We stated to walk home and she said mom this is blueberry.We went back thinking it would be no big deal softies would make it right. But no. The young lady wanted to argue with my 14 year old that she ordered blueberry.Well I was there and heard what she ordered I paid for it.So instead of just saying sorry for the mistake and making her another.I finally said just give us a return and it will be the last time I come.When I went back to ask for a name and number of a owner or supervisor I was told their was no way they would give me one.And also that they had offered to remake it. They never actually did or this would have never been a issue at all.I would really appreciate a business thats been around for so long to contact a valued customers that been coming here for years through is reviewSincerely a past long time customer

Im not a big fan of ice cream, but if I was Id probably visit here frequently. They have great soft serve cones with a lot of topping options - great place for kids. The only downside is a lack of good outdoor seating - I think they have a couple of benches, but thats about it.

When our order was looked at by the girl preparing them she said are you kidding me? Apparently a shake is some big deal and well outside what should be expected from the staff to be able to prepare. They then filled the five orders placed after ours before starting ours. I ordered a Carmel apple shake and instead got vanilla. When I asked to have the flavoring added I was told they have to just make a new one. Lo and behold they were suddenly able to make it in under 2 minutes. Im pretty much over this place, way more hype than is warranted

The products are awesome!! But that is after having to deal with the entrie(s) & parking lot (layout, spaces, etc), outside seating, & finally when you get to the establishment the service. By the time youre able to enjoy your product it wasnt even close to worth it.

This place is a billings hallmark. Theyve been around for as long as I can remember and still serving up the best ice cream around. Its the kids favorite treat stop for obvious reasons.

The ice cream treats are great, prices are ok. But, its basically a shack on an asphalt parking lot. Would be nice to bring in a few potted trees and plants, seating with sun shades, etc.
