To make an appointment, it costs $50 for a weekend and $25 for a weekday. It looks like they lowered the prices, which is good. Anyways, I didnt want to pay for the appointment, but I bit the bullet because I figured if they were charging me, they should have a huge selection. I was wrong. There werent a lot of options in my size (6/8) in the style that I wanted. Ive visited 6 different bridal stores, and this particular appointment was the shortest compared to the rest. Simply because I didnt have many dresses to try on. I would only recommend this place if they remove the appointment fee (or significantly lower it). Its a hefty price if you consider that other places have no charge! Another place I went to would only charge if you failed to show up. Also, it was deadly silent in there because they played no music. The associates talked in low voices, and it was just... odd. The silence made every sound so awkward.

I had already been to 3 different places before coming to Emerald City Gowns, and had I known that it was going to be such an amazing experience, I would not have gone anywhere else. Aside from being extremely afforable, they have an amazing selection. I know the basic wedding dress language but wasnt sure exactly what I was looking for. At Emerald City gowns it is totally okay not to know and if you have an open mind, Emilie and her staff are experienced and work really hard to meet your needs. I will be telling everyone I know, and people I randomly over hear looking for a dress to go to Emerald City Gowns. I wish someone had told me from the start.

I didn’t even make it to the store and am so glad. Website says free on weekdays and then sneakily has a $25 fee on the bottom of the appointment confirmation page. I called to confirm this surprise and canceled my appointment after a rude woman on the phone claimed “we have to charge people because we’re only interested in people who are serious from buying from us.” How was I not interested??? Not even a congratulations on your wedding but a sob story about COVID hitting them hard - being totally insensitive to how hard the pandemic had financially impacted me (hence looking at second hand dresses). Awful. Too many fabulous places with champagne and kind people for FREE. Go elsewhere.

Because Emerald City sources from consignment & sample sales, it has a great selection of styles and brands. This was my fourth time dress shopping and I still was having trouble describing my taste. The staff were exceptionally patient, encouraging, and low pressure. With their guidance and suggestions I found a winner!

Emerald city gowns saved this sad covid bride. With less than one month left until the wedding I needed a dress but did not want to settle for any dress. I told them what style I wanted and my budget and they gave me a couple I could try on that needed minimal alterations to accommodate my rush. I was able to leave the store with a brand new dress that I absolutely love!! Thank you so much!!!

I couldnt have had a better experience at Emerald City Gowns this past weekend. From the second my two best friends and I stepped into the store, we had an amazing, as-seen-on-TV time. We instantly felt comfortable, and then, after stepping further into the store, totally giddy.Emilie understood ~the vision~ right off the bat and I ended up purchasing the very first dress she put me in. The practical things - size, price, the COVID precautions - were taken in stride and never questioned. I felt safe the entire time, I liked and fit well into every dress she put me in, and she never presented me with anything out of my price range. She gave us the time and space to twirl, take several dozen (should I really say hundreds?? probably) pictures, and figure out the perfect veil to complete the look. The size 12 dress I ended up getting was $1,100 and will require only minimal alterations.Wedding planning amidst a pandemic is stressful(!!) to say the least, but my time at ECG with my best friends was a much needed bright spot. I really cant recommend this place enough.

Great customer service friendly beautiful lady. Helped us. The place was cute sweet fancy chairs big dressing rooms. My daughters informed person what she liked and their was. The. I found my perfect wedding dress here! They have a wonderful assortment of options, including many floor samples. I booked an appointment a few days prior, and received fantastic help. The owner listened to what I said I was looking for, and promptly found multiple dresses I loved. I was skeptical about the whole process, but she made me feel so comfortable and welcome that I really enjoyed the experience. I would highly recommend this shop to all my friends!

I had such a great experience here that I came back to get a second dress!I made an appointment for when my future sister-in-law would be visiting. We visited ECG on a Sunday morning and were immediately greeted by my stylist, Sonja. She was a warm and welcoming and very stylish herself!She took time to understand what my preferences were and pulled a bunch of options for me to try on. I had so much fun trying on the different dresses! We narrowed it down to 3 dresses, plus I had another appointment at a different bridal shop later that day, so Sonja was kind enough to reach out to me later that week to arrange another time to try on the favorites. I went back the following weekend and went home with my dream dress. The entire experience was so easy and fun!As it turned out, I needed a second dress with less than a week’s notice, as we had decided to elope at city hall in advance of our big wedding. Once again, Sonja worked miracles to help me find the perfect dress: ready to wear, under budget, and absolutely stunning!

Great place with vintage selections for finding an awesome dress within budget. I am from the east coast- being new to town, looking around other shops in the area was disappointing experience till I got to Emerald City Gowns. I found off the rack that is my size (6) here; no alteration was needed. I am a lucky girl! The service felt friendly and understanding 🤭💕

I had such a great experience in this lovely shop! The stylist (Sonja) was so helpful. I had a few things I had in mind for the gown and she showed me several gowns that were exactly what I was looking for!Most days you need an appointment, but they are VERY clear on their website which days they take walk-ins (those days being Wednesday, Thursdays and Fridays) Their website is easy to use and has information about booking appointments and how they manage walk-ins. Highly recommend this shop! Great way to support a small business!

They no longer have in store alterations. I made an appointment when buying my dress a few months ago and was really happy this would all take place in one spot and put down money to go toward the alteration. Instead their tailor now has her own shop in Oakland, which is great for her, but totally inconvenient to those who were promised the in store alternations. They also didnt let me know until my dress was already being sent to the shop. Now I am not even sure if I can stay with the same seamstress as her hours are not very great and I will have to take a day off from work to even get over to her shop since if you cant make it back in the same day (within 4 to 6 hours of your appt.) to finalize the alterations she will charge another 65 dollars on top to finalize it the next day despite the fact she is in another city than you had agreed to even see her in. Extremely disappointed.

Jerry made choosing from the hundreds of suit designs he is capable of very easy. I was the most involved in my attire than I have eve been in my life. He doesnt just agree with whatever design you think would be nice but guides you down your own creative path to a truly show stopping design. A tailored suit and shirts with my name on it for the price of an off the rack suit is always a plus!

This place is a must-see! I got to try on the best variety and the sales people are very knowledgeable about the alterations process, though they do not have a tailor on staff. Their consignment gowns start at $800 and they had a lot to choose from. They also have a few new dresses from a couple designers, too. Went to 3 appointments at other shops before this one and Im happy to report I pulled the trigger on a dress! Something about knowing that they only had that one dress made it easier to be confident in my decision.

Wonderful experience - personal, unhurried and invested! The dress she imagined for me was THE perfect one. I’d recommend Emilie and her staff to any and all.

This place is incredible ! I booked an appointment online the day before and was so glad to find a slot. The selection of gowns in fantastic, the venue is absolutely gorgeous with lots of natural light, but what really makes the difference is the kindness, excitement and expertise of the owner! She really made this a memorable experience and had impeccable taste and insight into the best dresses that work for my body type !

Emilie and her staff are amazing. After visiting several shops in the city, I decided to give this place a try. My only regret is not coming here first! I found the perfect dress, and it didnt even need alterations. This is a must-see dress shop!

I have NEVER been treated so rudely in my life. We had read online that they take walkins on Saturday, so we walked in. The employee immediately informed us that we clearly did not find that information on their website as they changed the policy two weeks prior. She wanted to engage in an argument with me instead of apologizing for the misunderstanding. I was ready to spend 5 grand today....but not there. No way, no how. There is no room for rudeness. I would have fired her on the spot had she been my employee.

Trying to find a dress for a wedding less than a month away is completely nerve wracking, but Emilie made it happen! She knew what alterations would be possible in such a short time frame, and pulled so many perfect dresses that by the end of this trip Id gone from worrying I wouldnt find any dress to difficulty deciding between which I loved the most!The dressing room is super comfortable. The prices are very pocketbook friendly.

Such a wonderful shop with an incredible selection of gorgeous wedding dresses! I recommend Sonja in particular, shes so sweet and accommodating and will go above and beyond to help you find what you want.

They recently changed their walkin policy and their website didnt reflect the changes when we tried to walk in and just browse. We were rudely greeted by the stylist who informed us of the new policy said we must have made that up and asked us to leave. Incredibly rude and disheartening experience.
