HE WAS AMAZING with his knowledge of the car, from top to bottom, and, although I was nervous over the fact of possibly needing a cosigner, he never gave false hope, just the truth. Korum River Road use to be a great place to get reliable service within a decent amount of time. My last few visits before I switched over to another dealer left much to be desired, smell of cigarettes in my car when I picked it up, oil changes taking twice as long, and then being quoted different prices and times to compete from two different service reps was finally the deciding factor to find somebody else.Fast forward to now, I was in a pinch to have a battery replaced and against my gut instinct I reached out to Korum since my dealership I prefer to go through wasn’t available until next week. I was able to be seen by Korum the next day. Upon being my car in, they were aware I had my own battery I just purchased. I watched the tech test the battery and alternator before being the car into the shop. In what I was told should be a quick visit I waited for nearly 2hrs. The last 15mins was after I advised the service rep that my car was parked and ready for me to go, which the rep informed me he was waiting for paperwork from the tech (which was right on his desk). After clueing him in that it was right there, he grabbed it and said mentioned it would be another 5mins or so until I’d be ready to pay. Not understanding what he met another rep took over and started the payment process with me.After paying and reviewing the paperwork for the multipoint inspection passing and no remarks about anything wrong, I started it up and noticed that I now stable red battery warning light that wasn’t on before. I immediately went in to talk to the rep to advise of this light that wasn’t on before. He had another tech take my car back and then returned saying my alternator was shot…..and I needed to shell out $900 for a new alternator.I have had no alternator problems prior to this, both alternator and battery were checked 3 different times in the past 48hrs before I took it to Korum, all test pointed to a bad battery. I have had no warning lights prior to them touching my car. And now after they have had my car I come out with more problems.Furthermore, after having another dealer look at this, the same day, they see signs of forceful/incorrect installation of the battery. This place is horrible, with sloppy techs and unprofessional reps.Response to korum: dishonest reply but not surprised by this dealership or it’s management team. But let’s be factual; I witnessed your tech check the battery and alternator before any work was done. Second, I was given an inspection form upon completion stating everything was in working order and there was no warning lights present at time of multipoint inspection. Why wasn’t the warning light indicated if your practicing transparency with your guest?I find it un likely the light only came on for me in the 5mins if took for me to pay and get it my car…. Third and most important I have a statement from a mechanic who looked at it the same day that shows arc damage from the connector to the alternator which can be caused due to improper battery connection/install. With all the facts I am quite certain your tech mishandled a simple installation and you’re trying to cover your unprofessional work. It’s been my experience with this dealership, just didn’t think a battery swap could get so jacked up….and your manager called me once.l wanting me to bring the car in for repair….But I’d be mad to try and even think I’d have this place touch my car ever again. You can take your overpriced shoddy work and play another person.

I had an excellent buying experience at Korum Hyundai in Puyallup! My salesmen Michael Sheffield was friendly, polite, knowledgeable, respectful, and treated my 14 year old son great the entire time we were there (which didn’t feel like very long).I was told that this particular dealership took customer feedback and implemented a plan where the customer negotiates the deal directly with the decision maker instead of going back and forth. This eliminated wasted time and hassle for me. Josh negotiated the deal with me and was fair and professional. There was a small discrepancy during the negotiation that Josh went out of his way to make right. I could tell there was a genuine effort to make the customer (me) happy. I signed the final paperwork and went over warranties with Dave in finance (across the street at the Korum Ford dealership) and he was easy to understand and explained things very well.I’d absolutely recommend this dealership to anyone looking for a pleasurable car buying experience where you don’t feel like just a number. We bought a brand new 2021 Hyundai Palisade from Korum Hyundai in June 2021.Amazing experience with Michael Sheffield. Very knowledgeable about the details. He has been easy to get a hold of and very responsive before during and after the buying process. Korums lifetime coverage offers really impressed me. Highly recommend the lifetime interior protection and the vehicle wrap coverage for everything mechanical. I have already been telling people to go to Korum for the lifetime coverages they offer. Ask them as much as you want to feel confident on what the extras actually cover, you will be pleasantly surprised.Korum was also very understanding with the various payment scenarios we asked to see. I fully intend to buy from Korum moving forward. Just wish they had some of the other automotive manufacturers as well.Finance department was very open and patient as well. I asked for the price of each extra coverage they were offering and Dave gave me the dollar values with no hassle. There was no pressure to buy all the extra coverage options and Dave was very patient with me as I went through the options, trade offs, and just thinking. Make sure to ask any and all questions during the car buying process. Korum will answer them promptly and honestly. No experience with their service department yet.

Had the worst week dealing with my 2009 Subaru and the mechanics at the car clinic down on Main Street. Had planned on doing some maintenance on my Subaru after already changing the tires, a bunch of sensors, and valve gaskets, and was told by The Car Clinic that my timing belt would need to be changed after the holidays, but otherwise the vehicle was solid and in decent shape. About a week and a half later, the timing belt breaks in two and destroys the engine. Stopped by Hyundai to see what they were offering and Michael was the greatest salesman ever! He was upfront, patient, and very knowledgeable. He understood my situation as a student and offered me several options, and showed me vehicles that fit my needs. He listened and was intent on delivering what I wanted and needed. He was a chill, no pressure kind of guy, with open communication. It did not feel like diving into a shark tank like some of the other dealers around Puyallup that I surveyed. This was a seamless and easy transaction, and I hope it was the same for Michael. Very stress-free, and they have the best warranties! I can sleep better now, knowing my 2020 Tucson won’t die in the middle of the freeway like the darn Subaru did.

It is super nice to see Hyundai doing there best with the pandemic we are currently in. I have experienced anxiety in these trying times as I am sure most of us have. Knowing that I could pay from my phone, my keys were sanitized when they were given back to me, as well as being walked out to my Elantra where my dash, steering wheel, driver door panel, and handle were all wiped down, again Im sure, puts my mind at ease. I see now why Puyallup Hyundai has such good reviews. They fixed my sons check engine light on his 2011 Sonata after we could not find the problem our self. Turns out we were on the right track by replacing a solenoid, but It had a faulty wire leading to it. They simply replaced the wire and all is good. They seem to know their stuff and the service people are very friendly. They didnt charge a fortune to fix either. Pretty much just the price of putting on the diagnostic machine and a small amount for the wiring.Very pleased with their professionalism and attitude. Highly recommended. Thanks Hyundai.
I had driven old used cars my entire life. Finally, I was ready for a new car at age 43. How lucky I was to be helped by Andrew Cowan. We recently moved to NE Tacoma, and I needed to get several warranty recall issues fixed. I went in expecting to be upsold as often happens. It did not happen. They were professional, fast, friendly and a pleasure to deal with. They took care of the recalls in the time promised. They did not try to talk me into anything other than what I went in for. There were no issues at all. I think they even washed my car! This will be the dealership I go to for all my Hyundai needs moving forward. Thank you Korum for being honest and for such great service!

We eventually decide to lease.Paperwork completed, more chatting, laughter and genuine interaction. The price for an oil and filter change listed on their tv was not the actual price I was charged. The service writer charged me, handed me the service papers, and didnt even explain briefly if the tech found anything or what they did. When asked the price for a brake job, the service writer just gave me a vague answer and didnt offer to look up the actual cost for me.

I was matched to my ideal car thanks to Michael Sheffield such a cool and attentive guy. Josh from sales and David from finance did an amazing job at putting in some work and getting me a solid deal. The service center here is amazing! I just took my car in for an oil change and they found a couple of other things that needed to be done. David helped us and he was very straightforward with the cost of everything, which we definitely appreciated, and told us the reason behind everything that he was doing (which is helpful for someone like me who knows nothing about cars). The employees were very friendly and helpful in regards to the car buying experience. They wanted to make it easy for me instead of tricking me into some bad deal like other car salesmen. I was able to negotiate a price that was within what I wanted to spend. Overall, it made the car buying process less stressful.

My Fiance purchased a used Audi a couple months ago off a lot she was used to. Recently she got hit at an intersection on Meridian close to our home. My fiance was ok but the car was a total loss. We had a great experience shopping for and buying our new Palisade at Korum Hyundai. I usually dread having to get a new car because we have to deal with the dealership, and the hard sell, even if were just test driving. Everything at Korum Hyundai was a great experience, they were not pushy, they were friendly and relaxed, we were up front and let them know we were test driving/looking at multiple options that day, and they were fine letting us walk off the lot to finish looking. They didnt even try a hard sell. When we decided to purchase the Palisade and came back that afternoon they were great still, offered us a fair trade in for our old vehicle, had fair pricing for the vehicle, and good financing options. We had Andrew and Justin helping us buy our Kona. I had done research before going in, but Andrew knew all the answers I was looking for so it wouldnt have mattered. They told us its all about the customer, and proved it by just having Andrew (sales rep) and Justin working with us until we were ready to sign. We didnt get swarmed, or persuaded they asked simple questions and went from there. They didnt have the color/options I was looking for but found one locally and traded one of theirs to get what I wanted - and NO, I dont have the best credit score so it was indeed about making sure I got what I wanted. **Update - we liked Korrum so much, we went back about 2 weeks later and bought a Sonata Hybrid from them - yes it was Andrew again that helped us learn all the new gadgets.

The staff at Korum provide you with all the pricing details up front, are respectful of your budget, and are very straightforward. Joe showed me a few cars in my budget, we took one for a test drive where he informed me about so many different features about my car, the staff are very knowledgeable. The car buying process was so quick and easy! When I was having trouble contacting my insurance agency near the end of the day, Joe was very helpful and went out of his way to call around to different insurance brokers for me while I was stuck on hold. My husband bought his first car from Mason at Korum Hyundai in 2017. We had such a great experience here that when he was ready for something new we came back to Korum Hyundai and again asked for Mason, he wasnt available but we had the most amazing gentleman Tim greet us and show us a new car my husband was interested in. He was never pushy about the process at all, he test drove the car with my husband and was not upset when my husband told him he had to sleep on it before deciding he was ready to purchase the vehicle. He gave us a kind smile and his card and told us when we were ready to just give him a call! We came back the very next day and asked for Tim, who unfortunately was busy with another client. Andrew greeted us and told us Tim said we might be back and has somewhat explained the car my husband was interested in. Andrew was also the nicest young man with us and really helped my husband buy the car he really wanted! He again was never pushy about the process at all! We went back to the finance department where again they were so kind and explained everything. It was close to closing time but they didnt rush and answered all our questions. Tim stopped by to say hello and congratulate my husband when he heard we were back and had decided on getting the vehicle. We will definitely be back again once were ready to purchase another car!
