Love this place. They have the best coffee in Bend, using Coava and making it to perfection. The staff is super nice and the space inside is nice and cozy. The only negative is that sometimes parking can be difficult. Great spot though.

Such great coffee here. Smooth, perfect foam, latte art, what more do I want? We are big fans of COVA coffee and go there often in Portland. The cookies are from Sparrow Bakery and we love them too. The hot chocolate is beautiful and delicious as well. And really great service here. Very cozy inside with a gas fireplace to warm you up!

PALATE has the best vibe out of all the coffee shops in Bend. I wish they had caramel but I cannot give them less than 5 stars for their amazing staff who provide top-notch service, delicious coffee, and scrumptious snacks. Staff was friendly. Has a hot Apple Cider and it was a perfect temperature. Ambiance is really cute and the music was fitting. Loved the little plant attic overlooking the shop.

Coffee shop nestled in the mainstream part of Bend. Small cozy indoor atmosphere. Various seating options from tight quarters indoors to either covered or open outdoor seating. Coffee is good and a plethora of other drink or baked good options available.

One of my first coffee experiences in Bend, I appreciated the welcoming, cozy shop environment and bubbly staff.The espresso itself was just a bit slight on flavor and body, though, I’m willing to say that it could’ve just been an off day. Homemade style pastry offerings were delicious.

Most darling little coffee shop! Baristas were super nice and made everything super quick, wasnt terribly crowded, very clean. They were also the only coffee shop in the area that listed matcha on their menu that we could see from online.Tip: they dont fill their drinks with a bunch of extra sugar, so if you have a sweet tooth let them know and they can make you the perfect drink!

I had to change my review. I originally gave this place 5 stars but when I went back I had a strange encounter with the barista. I had asked for a lot of room in my coffee so I could add my own coconut milk. The barista asked me to not add a bunch of half and half to my coffee. I said I had my own coconut milk which I showed him. He then responded by saying “unfortunately we have to make money here so please just don’t fill your cup with a bunch of half and half.” I have been a barista for years, and that was so awkward I decided not to go back and change my review. The coffee was delicious.

Amazing coffee -always consistently well prepared, no matter who is working. Owners are very down to earth and awesome in general and all of the staff is friendly, professional and really good at what they do. Atmosphere is very pleasant, even when its busy, its still got a relaxing, comfortable vibe.

Coava coffee roast is served here. We got a hemp and a oat milk latte. I would not suggest the oat it was very overpowering to the coffee. Friendly staff in a cozy shop.

Palate has the best atmosphere of any coffee shop in town. it’s not starbucks, so don’t expect your drink to be super fast. but it’s quality.these people create a true community feel, and treat their customers like gold. they take the time to have a meaningful conversation and actually connect with the humans who walk through the door. they make a mean hemp latte and an even better matcha. love you guys. highly highly recommend, always bring people from out of town here.if you need a place to work that has excellent drinks, palate is your place.

Palate makes the BEST lattes Ive ever had, no joke. Kind people work there, its fun to see others from our community there, and they have a great selection of local pastries.

Great reviews so we wanted to try, but we were really disappointed as the service was crazy slow. About 20 mins to get two drinks, when it wasnt even busy, shame!

Excellent coffee in beautiful shop.The owners of Palate work behind the bar and care about the coffee that they are serving. They, along with their very small staff, are incredibly friendly. If you want a suggestion for something fun to do or an idea about what is going on around Bend, ask them, because they are happy to chat with everyone who comes into the shop.Great place. Definitely the best coffee in town. They also do Pour Overs, so ask them what they have going if you want to try something special.

I was looking for artisan latte artistry and I found everything my heart and taste buds desired here. Super nice and knowledgeable baristas, excellent Coava beans (later 3rd wave style), and wonderful raspberry scones (and other pastries).

The coffee preparation at Palate is stellar. I drive across town because its that good. These guys know what they are doing and the attention to detail is evident in the result. If you are looking for staff that is knowledgeable about coffee, is local, and sticks by their guns when it comes to serving quality, then this is the place! A very nicely designed space doesnt hurt either! Cant say enough good things. Keep up the good work.

Cute lil coffee house on a busy corner, perfect for people and traffic watching if you sit outside. Super close to the Old Mill and Downtown if you need a break from the usual spots. Delicious coffee and pastries too!

Amazing espresso! I love their Mocha! Also some really tasty and healthy pastries that are usually vegan or gluten-free. I highly recommend swinging by when you can!

The atmosphere here is awesome. The staff is super kind and pleasant. I recommend the coffee because it is delicious. They make good Americano, reg coffee, and lattes but have yet to try more items. The beans are good, on the expensive side, but totally worth it.

This is one of my favorite spots for a caffeine fix in Bend. Among my top three I’d say this one stands out for the amount of effort they put into getting each order just right.If you’re a Dutch Bros kind of coffee drinker... it might not be the place for you; though it should be.

I always love it here. Such a great atmosphere, cool cozy interior, always lovely pastries and allergy free options, four kinds of non-dairy milk! The baristas and owners are always so friendly. An overall great place. When I was in school, I loved coming here to study because of its intimacy. The tables can fill up during the busy times, but in the summer a lot of outdoor seating opens up too. Lovely place and lovely location.

I hear the coffee here is really good. I dont drink coffee myself, but I do like chai lattes. I had to deduct a star because awhile back they changed their chai to something different that I dont really care for. I wish they would go back to the original chai.

For some reason it was difficult to get a double shot in a to go cup, they only would give me a Dixie cup, which spills everywhere...?? Maybe they were having a bad day. Didnt like my smiles or jokes either. So I got a house coffee. Cool atmosphere, but not going back.

I have not personally gone in for coffee but today 2/7/16 my family and I were in a pretty bad car accident right at the intersection NW Colorado and NW Bond. The staff came out immediately and brought us chairs, juice, water, snacks and really comforted us. They were amazing and treated us as family. I dont know any of them but may God bless them all!!! Thank you very much for your help and comfort today.

Smooth and good coffee. Good customer care. Great environment. Have decent noise dampening furniture. Equipment use is a bit loud, but I use noise cancelling headphones anyway. WiFi is good. Water is available and tastes clean.Downside: Tables were a bit cramped and a wall outlet didnt work (not a big deal since the was another outlet that did work right next to it.

They serve Coava Coffee from Portland. While they do not do pour-overs, their drip process is designed to mimic some of the flavor profile you get in that style. There were 7 different options of beans to go (3 of which were Ethiopian 👍), all roasted within the past 3 days. The people behind the counter were very knowledgeable, kind, and helpful.

Really cozy spot. Coffee is nice and strong. Get the ocean roll. Its crosant dough, sugar and cardamom offering a sweet and savory melody in the mouth. The owner/staff are super nice.

A unique atmosphere I can best describe as rustic and green. Theres deep stained woods everywhere, but also plants. The place isnt super big, which gives it a cozy feel.As far as drinks go, these guys know their stuff. They proudly serve Coava coffee roasted in Portland, and are one of only a couple places in Bend where you can get it. Its some of the best drip Ive ever had.They also serve Metolious tea, which is the best local brand out there.Aside from that, the service was quick, friendly, and professional. They were giving away free cookies as a celebration of being open for five years, which speaks to the price they have in their work.

My husband and I worked at this popular coffee bar several times. It was a bit crowded and noisy in the mornings, but was a great place to work from in the afternoons. Good coffee, reliable WiFi, and Sparrow Bakery pastries.

Very disappointed. The barrista gave me a huge ration of attitude when I ordered a quad-espresso over a cup of ice. She told me that they dont want customers making lattes with their half and half. I assured her I was more interested in the ice, but could I please use just a little half and half? She wanted to serve my espresso in a 4oz paper cup, with no cup for ice. Sadly, this is the reason I still frequent Starbucks. As a Bend local, I would really like to give my business to a small local business. There are other great local coffee places. As much as I like Palates location, I will never go back. I will be sure to share my experience with many.

Very knowledgeable baristas and decent coffee. I feel like theyre always a little understaffed when I go, often just one employee. That person always does their best though and makes a good drink.

Barista is rude! No greetings as I came in.I asked about ingredients in the tea or any additives. I am allergic and can not consume them. It was a problem to find out whats in the tea.Then I asked for extra water in my cup of tea, which had half of my tea still in it, and she pours all my tea out, who does that?I think they need to brush up on their manners and skills.Other than that cute place.

I am not a coffee person, so why did I go there well girlfriend likes coffee so I went with her. Got a good old hot chocolate. Now I dont know what kind of idiot you must be to mess up hot chocolate but they did it. The worst hot chocolate I have ever had.

This place is understated on the outside, AMAZING on the inside. Great coffee (I had a Stumptown mocha done perfectly.) I highly recommend this because they are quick and the atmosphere is magnetic (great for hunkering down in winter with a book or a friend). We will be back.

A wonderful place run by wonderful people. They care about their craft. They care about community. A great everyday coffee stop if you are tired of the drive-thrus.

Dare I say it but our lattes tasted as good as Portlands Stumptown. Granted they use Stumptown coffee but it takes skill to make coffee this good! I was way too excited to enjoy a little cup of coffee nectar, but after drinking camp coffee for 2 days you get kind of crazy. The interior is pretty cool and modern, stopping here next time were in town.

We stopped in for a break while traveling to our new vacation log cabin and while having the best coffee/pastries/service, my wifes water broke! Long story short, Jodie helped deliver our twin girl and boy right in the shop! The paramedics pretty much just made sure the babies were healthy and transported to the hospital. Guess what we named the twins? You might have guessed, we named them JODIE & JASON, after the proprietors of Palates! All I can say is that was one GREAT cup of coffee!
