Jason and his employees do an amazing job! They were recommended to me by several friends for any automotive maintenance I would need for my vehicle. He is honest, extremely fair and knowledgeable. I typically dont write reviews, but I feel this experience warranted one - this place was great. I know very little about cars, and took my older Wrangler here as it was having a few different drive issues. I got a thorough explanation of what was going on before any work was done. The work I got done was done quickly, accurately, and they even fixed a few minor issues I was having with lights and leaks. 10/10, will be going back if any other issues come up.

Jason will actively try to talk you out of doing work if he doesnt think it is worth your money. Completely trust him to not to take advantage of the situation like many other mechanics will. Take my Jeep here whenever I have any issues.

Incredibly friendly and helpful mom and pop shop. I called around to a few different mechanics and no one was as nice and caring as these people. Their wait time was slightly longer (a good sign to me) but I went with them anyway because of how much kinder they were over the phone compared to surrounding shops. My van ended up being an easier fix than expected and they had it ready in 24 hours. They even did a few extra things for the van that I didn’t know about free of charge. Prices were fair and there were no sneaky hidden fees like some places I’ve been to have. Will definitely be going back (but hopefully no time soon)!

Daniels Automotive is a great place to do business. I left my truck there early one morning with no appointment; they contacted me and said they would be on it as soon as possible. By 2pm they called and were looking at problem; by the next morning it was being fixed and I picked it up that evening. Cost was very reasonable, and they gained a new customer. Good, honest, friendly folks ready to help—the way Bend used to be when I moved here 40 years ago😀

We took our 2006 jeep wrangler in for some repairs and they went above and beyond with their attention to detail. Of course they fixed the problems but we were impressed with the knowledge and professional integrity they had. They did a great job!

I thought I was going to enjoy a snowy getaway in Central Oregon when I noticed oil had leaked onto the snow under my 2014 Jeep Wrangler Unlimited after the 4 hour drive from Portland. I began searching for a nearby mechanic, and was happy to come across Daniel Automotive, an hour away in Bend, who specialize in Jeeps. Not knowing what the problem was and expecting the worse, I gave them a call. Even though they were extremely busy, the gentleman who answered (Jason), listened as I explained my situation. To my relief and appreciation he said he could try to make some time to take a look at it and determine what the problem was the next day. I dropped it off and both Jeffry and Jason were wonderful. Very kind and courteous. I was under the impression they would try to squeeze it in so I was surprised when they told me they would be working on it next. Within a little bit of time I got a call with the diagnosis, a problem with the oil filter housing was causing the leak. The good news was that he felt that I could drive it the 200+ miles back to Portland without a problem. He would top off the oil which he determined was 1/2 quart low and I would be able to keep an eye on it on the trip back adding as needed. Now they could have said anything to me, not cared or told me tough luck, were booked solid (they were). At this point I had already began making plans to get a rental and leave my jeep in Bend as a worse case scenario. I wanted Daniel Automotive to do the work as I felt they were honest and willing to go the extra mile to help me out and I liked dealing with them. They told me they would be willing to do the work if they could get the part but wouldnt be able to get to it right away. Yes please! I was expecting to have to extend my stay but before I knew it they had it done and I was able to pick it up only a couple of days after first contacting them. Thank you so very much Jason and Jeffry for squeezing me in. I would recommend you to anyone I know and you would certainly be my trusted mechanic if I lived in Bend. So far so good. I found Daniel Automotive after asking friends and neighbors. Ive had a regular mechanic in Bend for 17 years, but he retired and I needed a new guy.So far, Daniel has treated me fairly. Ive had a wheel bearing done on one car and some axle work on another. No surprise bills. Good communication.

I have been using Jason at Daniel Automotive more years than I want to count. We were planning a trip in a few days to Washington when we noticed some potential engine issues. Drop our car of out of the blue hoping that maybe just maybe he could take a quick look. Not only did Jason determine our original concern was not the issue but identified the others that were. With Jasons recommendation I contacted 2 other shops that could complete the work needed, Custom Exhaust Specialties (totally came through) and Wade Bryants for the air conditioning issue. Wades is going to try hard at the 11th hour to get us up and running and I know theyll do their best. Just really gratifying to know that the town I grew up in hasnt become too large for folks to still be willing to go the extra mile for their neighbor. Thanks everyone!
