From the moment I called to the moment I drove away, this was a great experience. After calling six other places which were also booked full for the week, I reached Russ who promised me 3 minutes of his busy day if I dropped by for him to check out my van. He ended up spending an hour working on my van, charged me only for parts, and refused a tip.All the gentlemen I spoke to here were down-to-earth and kind. Even with how busy they were, they were cheerful and considerate. Id go back here for any work in the future.Thanks again!

Was able to get in within a reasonable amount of time. However Russ, the person manning the desk, decided to take two long phone calls when I was trying to get cashed out and he was already helping me which lasted about ten minutes despite my car already being ready to go. During one of the phone calls I saw Russ pull out a black flask from underneath the desk and put it in his back pocket which leads me to believe hes drinking on the job.Another complaint I have was when I arrived initially to drop my car off Russ was on the phone and there was one other employee standing around and instead of helping me he decided to go in the back, grab a cookie, and then proceeded to walk back out to the front and stare at me while he ate without ever greeting me or asking if I needed help. Extremely unprofessional workplace from what I can tell and I would say you should avoid this place if possible.

I took my car in last June because the air conditioning was not working. I was charged $250.00 to have them check for leaks, repair anything that wasnt right so the air conditioning would work. It worked great last summer but when I turn it on this summer it blows hot air. I called them and they said they cant guarantee anything. The guy that I talked to was Rod and he tried to tell me how air conditioning works and that I need to bring it back in again and get the whole air conditioning system replaced. When you take something in to get it repaired, you expect to have it repaired. They obviously missed something and do not want to fix their mistake or take ownership for something they missed. I will never use them again!

Awesome and friendly people. I needed my car serviced and new tires. They were nice enough to service my car and then drive it to the tire shop so I didn’t have to come back into town. Very quick and professional. Highly recommend. Cool shop dog as well!

Highly recommend Car Kare! Russ is extremely knowledgeable, professional, and the customer service is top notch. My daughter lives in Bend, and I am in Texas, so its so comforting to have a mechanic that I can trust to make sure she is in a safe vehicle.

They, (Kare), said they call me back with price of 12 volt battery for my 2002 Prius, never called me back. Ive tried to call them several times to no avail. Frustrating.

These folks are fantastic! They went above and beyond to get the work done that I needed. They helped by answering all my questions and spoke to me about my truck in clear and understandable terms. When the work was done they even took extra time to show me the damaged parts they had replaced and explained the problems through the damaged parts. I honestly wouldnt go anywhere else in Bend. I had the best experience with Car Kare over the 4th of July holiday. I was driving my two kids from Boise to Eugene when my transmission went out-- totally out!! Ken and his employees spent a lot of time trying to figure out what the problem was. They spent a lot of time trying to help us get on the road. Finally, they discovered it was the transmission and I ended up taking it to the dealer. Car Kare took really good care of us, and though they spent a lot of time and care for us they didnt charge me a penny. How completely decent was that? Even though we were from out of state and he had nothing to lose but to charge us, he did not. What a gracious guy! Thank you very much for everything you did to help us in Bend! I cannot recommend this place enough! They just did a great job repairing a couple things on my Audi. They got me in right as soon as I called, and fixed right away. The front desk receptionist was super helpful and friendly too. They saved my week! So happy to have gotten my car back so quick.

These guys were beyond helpful! I was broken down just two blocks away and gave them a call. They drove over and checked my van out to see if they could do anything there or I needed a tow. They were really reasonable with their prices too!

Would give no stars if possible!!! Went in for a simple oil change, paid 100$, went to drive home (2 hour drive) and our engine light and a few others lit up luckily before we were able to leave town! Went to a different mechanic to figure out the problem since it was a Saturday and car Kare was closed to find out the people at car Kare didnt connect the air intake for the engine!!! Now having engine overheating problems! Had no problems until we went to car Kare!!! DO NOT WASTE YOUR TIME WITH THESE PEOPLE!!!!!

The previous owner of a new to me car had used Car Kare for 12 years. They had great records for the life of the vehicle. They seem genuinely interested in doing right by customers. I plan on using them for scheduled maintenance and whatever else my car needs.

Austin is a great mechanic! He is so helpful, and has amazing diagnostic and problem solving skills. ... He is able to analyze and isolate faults in the vehicle very quickly. Cara and Ken are great. I have had to bring my car to them a few times over the last few months, both for repairs and maintenance. They are honest, straightforward, take the time to explain whats going on with the car and how urgent repairs are, and are definitely better priced than other places in town Ive gotten estimates from. Bring your car here, you wont be sorry!

My mechanic had closed up shop a little while back so I was shopping around for a new one. After looking at the Google reviews I decided on Car Kare and what a great decision it was! I had just bought a 2017 F150 and didnt know much about them so Russ hung out a the counter with me and spent 20 minutes answering my questions about maintenance and what I should know about the truck. He was happy to talk with me and I was blown away with his knowledge and experience. I was also EXTREMELY happy with the cost of the oil change, lube and point inspection. They discovered the air filter had never been replaced and put a new one in as well. Long story short, I highly recommend.

Went to get pre-sale check on car. They were very thorough and only charged $75.

Austin the mechanic was great and helpful but I went in with a just a question, they said they would take a look, no mention of a charge just to look. They were unable to diagnose through no fault of their own Im sure but then I was charged $50. I didnt know there would be a charge or I would have waited until I had enough money for a fix. Would have been fine if the clerk would have told me before I was leaving that there $50 charge for looking. Left me feeling a little screwed over

My last car repair place closed and a friend referred me to Car Kare. What a Godsend they have been these last 5 years with our 2 old car/truck and new Subaru. I trust them so implicitly I dont even want a call for an estimate. When you have people with integrity working on your cars, theres such a comfort. The owners are always there, they hire and keep great service people and the service manager is so skilled at explaining what the problem is and solution OPTIONS!!!. Not forcing only one expensive solution. Having a car repair shop that can be trusted on price and getting the job done right--an amazing comfort in my life. Thank you isnt enough.

These guys are the Click & Clack of Oregon!! They kept our 25-year-old Soob running well past its age, and are nice guys to boot. The brake work they provided for our Ford F-250 has made us much safer and able to enjoy our travels with confidence. Del and Leon give first-class service at an affordable price, and the guys working under them really know their stuff. Austin has so much knowledge right at his fingertips, and explains things so well that even I(!) can understand them. We absolutely wouldnt go anywhere else. But you should...cause we dont want them getting so busy that they dont have time for us (ha-ha).

My car is currently in their shop. It was super hot out today and they were super awesome with me and my two kids 3&4 sitting in the lobby. They talked to me let me know everything and the routes we could go. They even have me and my two kids a ride home!

I was traveling through town for work when my van got a bad misfire. I called Friday morning on a hope that they could get me in and on my way again. They said they would look at my van and hopefully help me out. Within 3 hrs of showing up they had me all fixed up. Price was very fair. I would highly recommend to anyone. Im old. Ive been to many mechanics in many places in the US. Ken and Cara (owners) and Austin (senior mechanic) are the best Ive found in many years. Each time (3) Ive brought a vehicle in to them, theyve diagnosed the problem correctly and fixed it for reasonable money. And Ive never had another problem crop up immediately after theyve worked on the vehicles.

Not the same without Del and Leon. I have been going there for 15 years and knew them well. When they left the experience isnt the same! The new owners were Unable to determine what was wrong with my transmission just told me maybe I need it rebuildt ?. Oh No~ so I took it elsewhere and it was diagnosed with a bad sensor and it was fixed in 2 hours!Im sad to say I wont be back☹️

I just made the drive down from SE Alaska and needed a routine check up/tune up to make sure everything was still running smooth. Took my GMC Sonoma in to Car Kare because of their very positive reviews, and wasnt disappointed. They ended up having to replace a few things that I wasnt aware needed done, but they called and let me know what was wrong and how much itd be to fix before doing so. They even pushed to get it done by the end of the day at a fair price. Ken and Austin are amazing, friendly, and incredibly helpful. If I have any more issues, (which hopefully doesnt happen), Ill definitely be taking my truck back to them.

Car Kare was recommended to me by a gas station attendant. I was visiting from out of town when my check engine light turned on. Although they were closing early (start of July 4th weekend). They ran a dianostic on the car and were able to find out what was wrong. They were kind enough to fix it for me. I was very impressed by their honesty and their willingness to truly help. I highly recommend them.

Just wanted to thank Car-Kare for helping my 18-year-old daughter. We had taken in her Jeep Cherokee last year to disarm the car alarm. A year later, the car alarm went off when she was out late at night with friends, leaving her stranded. She had her car towed to Car-Kare the next day, and they fixed it again for free. It was a positive end to a very stressful day for my daughter.

Ive brought my truck in for years now. Never had a problem del and leon are great. I took in my car for a power steering leak. Told me what the issue was and that they ordered the parts, should be in in a few days. Take it back they call me a few hours later tell me its the wrong part. So I wait for them to order the right part. Bring my truck back in, when I got it back today i immediately noticed that there is still power steering leaking. I asked the owner or whoever that useless man was at the front desk why it was still leaking and his response was you can have a friend or someone power wash it and bring it back then maybe we can figure out where its coming from. Then proceeds to charge me over $300 for fixing pretty much nothing. The whole reason I brought my truck in was to fix the leak and that couldnt be done. I spent $300 and have no change in the vehicle . Such a waste super bummed about this, car kare use to be the best. Never going back, and do not recommend.
