I shop at Menards as my first preference due to the awesome customer service I usually receive. Today my Bemidji location fell short and was disappointed. I used to work for Menards and did so with pride. I shop there due to loyalty. Today I was there for about half an hour. Walked a majority of the store to get what I needed for a project. I walked by about 10 employees. Not one said Hi or asked if I needed help. The first employee to say hello was my cashier. The front end assistant wished me a good day. I shared my experience and she apologized. Not sure if she did anything about it. I know for a fact as a former employee this is not at all the Menards culture that I always took pride in. My manager Dave Plude would have never stood for the lack of customer appreciation I felt today. Dave Plude trained well. Perhaps today was an off day. But really? 10 employees? Not one said Hi until the cashier? Please review and correct this. I left the store around 915am.

I stopped by Menards for some Dutch Boy paint because Wal-Mart quit selling it. The young man in the paint department was a great help in picking out the right paint for my needs. When I checked out, the young cashier was so sweet! He was helpful and kind, wishing me a good afternoon as I was leaving. Great experience!

Hadnt been in one of their stores in a number of years.Id forgotten how nice a place to shop it is.Please open stores in Arizona.

When I first walked in I had 2 people say good morning. As I walked Around the store not a single associate asked if they could help me or even say hi.

Drove 50 miles for some patio blocks. Displays reflected nice selection. Had my trailer so I could purchase all I needed to do the job. I got 2 flats to put them on. Could not find anyone to help me.But there were many shown on display but no stock. Why not share that on your. DisplaysThen I found what I could sub and use. What I found was all the broken junk left over was stacked on pallets.The good stuff binded and covered in plastic behind it.You could not get to it. I could not find any help out there. My question is no one is going to buy your cracked or chipped junk. Take the mark down on this junk and sell some product or just store your good stuff and get no sales and return customers. Business 101.So I just left. Wasted my gas, time and will search for a place that makes blocks and buy it there.Old Guy from Itasca

What a great experience at Menards Bemidji today and over the last couple of months. I needed some garden items and ask the first employee I found, he was stocking shelves in the garden area, where they might be located. He know exactly where to go for my items, and even walked me back to mulch and helped load ten bags and he brought them to the registar while i continued to shop. Wow, I found out his name is Micheal and he is the General Manager. Nice job making me feel very well taken care of while I shopped.I have one other employee I would like to recognize, Matt in kitchen cabinets. We have been pricing and looking for months and after Matt helped us, I stopped by a couple of other Menards to see samples and not one employee in Baxter or Fargo even made eye contact.Matt has been available, kind and knowledgeable everytime we are there so it was only natural to go back and purchase from him. Since then I have been back for appliances and have been happy when Matt is there to help me. Nice going Matt, and thank you, you have a bright future.

Great place! Grabbed flooring for a few rooms and staff berks me choose and explained how and what I will need to finish the job!

The mask mandate ended in MN, and this place still has signs up requiring masks. Talk about pushing business away. Its terrible business practices and theyve been mask Nazis the entire time. I used to enjoy going there, not anymore, I recommend everyone go to L&m Fleet instead. Right next door and freedom friendly, unlike leftist corporate woke Menards.

I am going to give a really long review of this place, but here is the summary. It is a simple store that has a lot of stuff. You come when there is a good sale or something uncommon that you need. The customer service is average, and the prices arent always good. The quality of the product is definitely sub-par here, which most people are aware of. The building itself isnt bad, but a lot of the signs are outdated or improvised.They are very rude here, giving them your money is not worth it.-Working Here-At the time I am writing this review I am an employee here, so if you are considering working here, this is what you can expect.Working here is kind of average. It pays a little better than some retail places, and might be better than working at some of them, but it is honestly not a good place to work long term (I have been told this from several managers from several Menards stores). Compared to other Menards locations, this place is quite a bit worse, being less organized, and a lot a of the employees are not well experienced with Menards due to it being a newer store.In recieving specifically it always seems as if you are short staffed, despite the payroll being insufficient for the amount of people currently working. There is definitely a great variety of things that need to be done on a daily basis, which helps to reduce boredom but means there are a lot of little things to learn and it can get quite chaotic.There is definitely a lot of lifting involved in a lot of the departments, which is great if you like a little bit of physical activity.The one bathroom in this store is awful, and despite being cleaned every day it still looks bad. It isnt sufficient for the amount of employees and guests, and the hand dryers are the ones that take 30 seconds to a minute to dry your hands.The break rooms are Ok, but do not get restocked very often and pale in comparison to some break rooms from other places (such as Luekens South.)All in all Menards is a place to get something every once in a while, and working here is lack luster.

Absolutely love menards prices, amount of items they have and the 11% off. BUT they never have anyone working I swear it, you can never find anyone to answer your questions or to help. You go to home depot and there is someone around every single corner. I prefer Menards anyday except for the amount of employees and how unknowledgable they compared to home depot.

Was denied entry because I cant wear a mask due to a medical condition, I didnt make a big deal out of it i just left. Pretty sad we live in a world that we are treated differently over something we cant control. Im just trying to run a business and get supplies. I cant just do curb side pick up when I need to measure and make sure Im getting the correct material. Not that you care but you lost a customer that will no longer support your buisness.

Went through and found exactly what I needed, all employees are wearing masks appropriately and safety measures are top priority, had to wait just a small amount of time while the service employee made sure this older couple got assistance from a manager because they seemed as if they still didnt know enough about the warranty they had purchased with the items they bought previously. I am a very patient person and so is my father, there were no complaints or problems while waiting in line. She did apologize for the wait and of course it is no issue. Thanks Menards!

They almost always have what Im looking for and at a decent price. Pretty easy to find someone to help you if you need it.

Their propane exchange will charge you for a new tank even though you exchanged an empty tank. Machine error... it happens. Manager wont rectify it without a receipt, store policy... I get it. But as a customer Im out ~ 30$ with no way to get it back which is lame!

I recently purchased a garage package at the Menards in Bemidji. Upon placing the order, I inquired about the lead time for the trusses and was told by Arthur that it would be two weeks. Shortly before the two weeks was up, I called Menards only to find out that my truss order, which had been paid in full was on hold at the supplier. They assured me that they would get a rush on the order and that the common trusses and the gable trusses would be delivered to the store together even though the order stated that only the common trusses were being included on the order. I called the store and spoke to Josh, who stated that he was the general manager. I explained my concern and was told that the common trusses would be there but not the gable trusses. Again I told him that he had assured me that these were included on the order confirmation that I had received from Menards. He proceeded to basically tell me he wasnt going to argue with me about it and that he had never told me that they would be there on time. I told him that I would not be doing any further shopping at Menards and he told me that that was my choice to not shop at Menards. If my $11,000 plus purchase means nothing to them and they feel the need to treat me poorly, I will gladly take my business elsewhere!!!

I shop there all the time I wish there was more American products

I think it is nice that they have someone at the door whose job is to ensure that all of the customers are wearing masks. That takes the pressure off of the rest of the staff and makes so that there are no awkward or even problematic interactions between staff members and customers that are not wearing a mask.

We have been doing several projects around our house and unfortunately we have had to return some items. Customer service department employee Karri B has been very helpful. She is friendly, professional and efficient.

For as friendly staffed as this store is, it would sure be nice if there were 1-2 guys working in lumber, block and fencing. Its difficult when you try to load things and arent 25 anymore. Theres simply nobody helping a customer that just spent $400. Wife tried to buy mulch but couldnt find anyone. Seems like if youre older nobody sees you.

The owner of this location Adam Kadrlik took to Facebook recently to blast the rude people that come into “his” store. He doesn’t care about medical conditions. If you can’t wear a mask he doesn’t want your business. I’ll never go to another menards again.

We had an issue with a toilet fixture that we purchased. So here we are at home with no toilet. We called the Bemidji Menards store and were directed to the plumbing department. Nathan, the plumbing manager, took our call and handled things beautifully. He was professional, courteous, and empathetic to our problem. We live an hour away, so it was amazing when we got to the store and Nathan had everything ready for us for our exchange. Nathan took a high stress terrible situation and made it better in a snap. We wish more home improvement staff would follow this example. Great job!!!

Dont forget to hang out in the bird seed isle....... They have the cutest wild birds that hide in the rafters and sneak down to slurp up a little bird seed off the shelves!! Absolutely adorable in my opinion.

Menards is one of my all time favorite stores. As me and my wife just purchased our first home we find ourselves at Menards almost every week. And they have more Dog food and pet supplies than our local Walmart.

Menards has a variety of items similar to Lowes or Home Depot and a little bit of Walmart through their inventory.If you are a veteran (less than 1% of the U.S. population served in the armed services) this store DOES NOT provide an additional incentive to shop with them like Lowes or Home Depot.If you would like to save an additional 10% are there are other options. You can go to Menards on Veterans Day or you can go to Home Depot or Lowes everyday.

Ive only been in this store once but it is very well stocked and clean. I asked an employee a question and was taken to where I needed to go which I appreciate. Its a pretty big store.
