Bellden Cafe has a very relaxed atmosphere and is a great place to work. Even at capacity it doesnt feel crowded or hectic. The space is well kept and is filled with potted plants and honey colored wooden furnishings. Four small round tables are scattered throughout the store; an enormous live edge wooden table that could easily fit eight rests in the center; two bar counter tables line the windows; and two rectangular kitchen tables lay tucked away in their respective study rooms. Sprawling vines frame the perimeter of the inside windows and potted plants are close enough and plentiful enough to brush your arm like a friend saying hello. Easy listening music plays quietly in the background, helping to set a breezy mood. Note that there arent too many outlets, so if you bring a laptop try for one of the study rooms or corner window seats.Regarding cafe fare, the coffee is solid and there are plenty of light meal options--think bowls and toasts. I ordered a Let Me Love You Latte (honey, cinnamon, and orange) and a Mocha for comparison and found both to be lightly sweetened which was great.
Quality coffee! Delicious snacks! Cozy! Great music!I have been here a couple times. The coffee is superb. The baristas know their art! The owner is friendly, attentive to her customers. For students of business partners There are small private rooms inside.
A beautiful cafe full of greenery and vibes (all the plants have names???!!!) I love that they carry so many healthy breakfast options. The smoothie bowls are great 😋 The only letdown for me was the coffee, but Ill happily step in again for a light, delicious meal that leaves me feeling like Ive earned some good karma👍Pictured: Let me Love you latte, pitaya bowl
This cafe has a collection of insta-worthy breakfast toasts, waffles, acai bowls and coffees. The best part is they have a little menu of coffee whose 25% of the price goes to a charity, and they’ve also mentioned which drink does that to which charitable organisation. Thus, we enjoyed one of the coffees from that collection called Spring Time Latte, a good mix of lavender and honey. Also popular is their Pink Avo toast made of beetroot hummus and is very refreshing. We also tried the ABC toast with almond butter and banana and was kind of dry because of the almond butter.I really liked the cafe though, if only you get a seat inside since it’s right in front of the construction site and is very loud to sit outside.
Love coming to this cozy cafe! Great coffees and amazing breakfast/ brunch foods. Owner and employees are all super friendly.
They make good coffee, and have some really good sandwiches. Their salmon toast is my friends’ favorite. I have tried their matcha waffles which is super dense, and ok, not really my favorite. I like their acaii bowl.My biggest complain is their unusually long wait time for the food. A few days ago, they brought half of our food and it took half an hour more (total of almost 45 mins) for the acaii bowl to arrive. Not sure what an acai bowl has to make it that complicated of a dish, but they kept bringing food that other patrons who ordered way after us, but not my acaii bowl.
Cute cafe in downtown Bellevue with a nice interior and decor. I cant speak for the coffee but the matcha latte is ok. Its very smooth but the matcha flavor gets lost at times. They can definitely make it stronger. The avocado and PNW toast are both excellent, although a little pricy for the quantity. Its an excellent spot to sit and study or just read a book.Parking can be validated. Just remember your stall number!Follow my Instagram @nikon.foodie for my detailed review!
Ordered my usual oat-milk vanilla latte for the first time here, she forgot the vanilla and was added after, coffee tasted a bit bitter/burnt so not the best.Vibes/people are great here, and they also have delicious acai bowls and toasts. Parking is a bit limited but theyll validate the parking lot underneath for 2 hours.
Everything ive gotten here is absolutely delicious, have gone back multiple times. and the staff is so beyond kind and helpful. Very much would recommend to anyone in the area
The best avocado toast I’ve ever had! A super healthy and delicious breakfast that is an excellent way to start off your day. I ordered the fresh fruit toast and minted cold brew and both were amazing!
Decent coffee, shop opened properly. I did not receive my food until as I was leaving, but it was tasty. They do validate parking. Fortunately, this is walking distance from work.
This spot is so good. Its cozy and modern. Clean with excellent service. Everything is fresh and delicious. Healthy eats, full of flavor and balance, you wont miss the junk! If I were local, Id be a regular. As a visitor to Seattle, and on an ambitious bike ride, we found this place on accident. We decided to fuel up here and Im so glad we did! If youre in Bellevue, do yourself a favor and stop in.
Absolutely excellent coffee! The staff and environment is awesome as well. The foam is done really well and the coffee isn’t too roasted, so it’s very good. Their food is also great and has some gluten free options :)
Very dry service. Latte taste like just warm milk. No decent service.
I liked the food, it was about as expensive as Id expect for the area and they do validate parking. Took a couple stars off since it took about an hour to get my food which was just salmon toast and an Acai Bowl. They were also completely out of sandwiches at like 11am which is pretty surprising for how early that is.
I think its fair to say that these days KINDNESS is one of the most valuable currencies and the staff at this Cafe are a synonym of that. Not only the food was delicious but the place made me feel very welcomed and as a valued member of this community. Thank you!
I picked this place based on reviews on yelp. I am visiting from DC and like to try new cafe every where I go. About this place: the location is very convenient, staffs are friendly and the atmosphere is very cute and cozy with live plant which I love! I ordered a latte and avocado toast! My Latte got ready very fast and I had to have it but my toast took a long time almost 15 minutes! I preferred to have them both at the same time but couldn’t. Although there were not much people there on Monday at 11 am, I wonder what took them so long! My Latte was tasty 😋 and the avocado toast was delicious and fresh. I can tell the quality of the food was great. That’s why I am giving 4 stars!
Friendly service. Pumpkin latte was delicious, not overly sweet.
Coffee was good but waiting 45 minutes for two pieces of avocado toast was ridiculous also not much flavor on the toast. Disappointed. Wouldn’t recommend. Go out to breakfast you’ll spend the same and get more food.
This place is fine. Cute, good coffee, and decent food options. Order ahead online during busy times, especially if youre just looking to grab a couple drinks and go. This Sunday morning it took almost 20 minutes for us to get a cold brew and an iced tea because they had only one person making drinks who was also sanitizing tables and running food - despite having multiple other employees. All busy, I get it, but if Im just wanting a drink to go its too long to wait when ordering in person.
This place was a great choice for a quick bite. Theres an underground parking garage where you can get validated parking for 2 hours. Some limited outdoor seating outside, I brought my pup. I ordered the pink hummus avocado toast. LOVED IT, very overpriced though, $9.50 for two small slices... but it was so delicious that I would go back once in a while. We also tried the acai bowl... although I ordered the one with dragon fruit and didnt get the right order but I didnt realize until I left since I ordered to go. It still tasted good even though our order was wrong. The fruits were frozen, so extra cold, I loved the touch of honey on top!my favorite was the spring time latte (lavender latte), it was so one of the best lavender lattes Ive had! The staff was very friendly. Great vibe.I would recommend if you dont mind spending a little more on some small portion brunch options and delicious coffees! (about $9.50 per order, $4.50-$5 for drinks, bring your reusable cup for 10% off your drink).
Absolutely amazing! Outstanding customer service and incredible food. The staff was so friendly and accommodating when I wanted to customize my order. I stumbled across this place when googling avocado toast on my road trip and I am blown away. The avocado toast was the best I have ever had. The flavor profile was robust hitting on every element from tangy, salty, crunch, and a hint of sweetness from the oil. Not your average coffee shop avocado toast. I cant wait to come back. I highly recommend this place to everyone!
Cute place with a tasty looking menu. However, we’ve now been waiting 20 min for a couple of lattes and avocado toast. Multiple people ahead of us have been waiting longer and the barista has asked two people now what their order was. No reasons for the wait has been explained, no apologies. Wouldn’t recommend, especially if you’re needing to get anywhere.
Nothing special. They do donate 25% of their proceeds for each specialty drink to charity, which is cool, but the taste of the food was underwhelming and bland. Croissant was chewy but tasted like a Costco pastry. Iced tea was like water and wasnt diluted enough. Overall, it was OK, but I cant justify spending $17 on a Costco croissant, sausage McMuffin, and watery tea.
My first time here and I was not impressed. When I ordered for dine in they give you a number and you still have to get up to get your coffee which I was confused about since they gave me a number I thought they would bring it to the table and I was seated outside so after like 15 minutes of my cappuccino not arriving I went inside to ask and they said it was sitting on the counter for a while. I had to wait 52 min for a piece of toast with cream cheese. It was 11:30 when I got there and their bakery selection was pretty much gone and they were out of sandwiches. Also theres no straws here at all so if you cant drink something without a straw due to a disability be prepared. If theyre so environmentally friendly I wonder what else theyre doing to prevent single use plastic since plastic straws only contributes 0.03 to global plastic waste and I bet they have a lot more they could eliminate. They could at least provide paper straws to those who request one...Not worth going to again, I was very unimpressed. Their PNW toast was ok, there barely any smoked salmon on mine though, nothing special.
Very busy, but you can still find a quieter corner table if youre lucky. The coffee and treats are 👍
Great coffee. Great matcha latte. Loved the oatmeal with house made fruit compote and toasted pecans. Avocado toast was not on toast but a yummy chibatta like bread.
Met my friend here today for coffee and a late lunch. It is so nice inside! Their baked goods look so good! I got a vanilla latte. They make their own syrup. It was yummy! We shared the avocado toast (2 pieces per order but can do a half order). Holy moly the avocado toast was so good!!! I want to eat it every day!
The avocado toast and minted cold brew is awesome.
Best coffee Bellevue has to offer; vegan friendly (even though I’m not a vegan), lactose intolerant friendly (even though I’m not lactose intolerant), social/community building friendly...you can actually purchase a spring latte and donate your proceeds to a number of different advocacy and small nonprofit groups. Children are welcome they have books to read in the photo you’ll see that there’s no problem with Dr. Seuss . Additionally, the staff is warm and welcoming and the coffee is superb, seriously...coffee is that great.
I used to work close by and coming to Bellden was always a treat (best mocha in town) and a great place (trendy decor) for a meeting with my manager. Now that I’m working in Seattle, I try coming here every now and then because I simply love their mocha, the milk is silky and the chocolate is bitter and just enough that it actually enhances the coffee flavour.
Great salad and toasts. A little slow in the kitchen but worth the wait. Order ahead is available.
Love this place, where other places have been pretty relaxed with COVID precautions these folks take it seriously. Ive never seen a cleaner bistro kitchen (scoped it out on the downlow).Excellent customer service as well, I accidentally ordered a drink after hours one day and the next day I was unavailable to pick it up so I called in to cancel the transaction. It only took a few moments and the store representative on the other end of the line was a really positive presence.
This has to be the best coffee Ive had in Bellevue. My americano was perfect, there was no sour taste and the bitterness was kept to a minimum, but strong enough for a good black americano. the dessert was delicious, I had to go with their Nutella donut thing. Im not a big fan of avocado toast because I find them over priced but its nice to have options for real food. This will be my go to coffee spot now for Bellevue I only wish it was more relax to enjoy my coffee, maybe some couches to sit on
Came here for the first time. If you are a Mocha person, dont bother coming here. Either the person screwed up my drink and forgot to add chocolate or this is the standard serve, it was awful and nothing like a mocha.
Mocha was too sweet and tasted like tobacco. They said they made a chocolate syrup in house with sugar, cinnamon, and decaf. Not for me even with the syrup reduced by half.
Waited 45 minutes for avocado toast that had no flavor and was overpriced. Coffee was okay. Wouldn’t recommend this place. Might as well go out for breakfast with the time wasted waiting for our food.
The Team at Bellden Café is superb and very kind. I always enjoy the smiles when I walk through the door and getting to chat with the owner, who cares a lot about the community and is so friendly. This a great local shop to support and their coffee is excellent quality and yummy food. Parking is validated as well!
We had a pink avocado toast and the açaí bowl to eat and a drip coffee and matcha latte to drink. Everything we got was 5/5. Extremely delicious and we love the plants. We will definitely be coming back
I had a wonderful experience here. I was visiting from the East coast, so I was up super early and this was just down the street from my hotel. The shop is cute, a little quirky. I came with the intent to hang out for a bit, so I would say the service was a tad bit slow, but it didnt bother me and I wouldnt say it was outrageous. I got the pink avo and a cappuccino and both were delicious. Ill be back next time I visit!
Really yummy breakfast and coffee specials. Fridays and Saturdays have long lines from like 10-12 with up to an hour wait.
Hands down delish! First time Ive ordered from this cafe and my taste buds were happy. I had the pink avo toast today (pink hummus and avocado with micro greens) and side salad with a balsamic vinaigrette and croutons. All of the freshness in the food. Bread was toasted perfectly, salad was crisp and all flavors were on point. I would recommended this place for sure! Once the pandemic is over I will be heading over to see the dinning space and post pics.
I stumble on this locally owned coffee shop on the way to my evening class, and was delighted by the open ambiance, a great view of DT Bellevue, and welcoming service. I tried the special - Orange Blossom Cold Brew, and it was refreshing and crisp (a bonus that a portion of the proceeds was donated to local charities)! This coffee shop a nice addition to the community and great spot to take a break and unwind.
Theres construction across the road so it is pretty noisy.
Good ambiance and great coffee.
The plates were a bit small for the price but very tasty and worth it. I tried the pink hummus avocado toast and the pnw salad. Both very good. The service was great. We sat at a table and to work for a bit. There is a 2 he max on dine in time and they validate parking if you just tell them the stall number
Ive been out of the country for a while and living on planet San Francisco. So I dont think many things are expensive. But I have to say that this avocado 🥑 toast is VASTLY overpriced. Its small. Its unsatisfactory and paying $18 for a mocha and some salmon, cream cheese and a slice of bread is crazy. All the avocado toasts are over $9. What is the rent here? Is it that hard to source avocado these days? Has it become a rare earth commodity? In the Bay area, cost of living still crushes Bellevue. Yet at Philz Coffee (which had amazing coffee, actually different from all other cafes) the avocado toast is amazing, is big it comes w egg or cucumber and it costs $5.50. At Boudin (wanna be French bakery) its $8.Very nice staff. Decent coffee. But totally standard ingredients. Vivace actually has coffee that tastes different from every other place. Bellden does not. The salmon wasnt even 1 ounce. Its obviously not fresh and you can buy 3 ounces at safeway for $6.This place fits Bellevue! Full of women w their kids spending their husbands hard earned money to hang out and socialize. Just did a head count. 20 women. 3 men.The reviews cant be about the coffee or food. It isnt exceptional in anyway. But its a nicely designed place w kids toys and books and these women obviously arent checking the prices. Its not bad. But it certainly is not a 4.5 star Cafe or eatery.
Couldnt get a drink bc they couldnt offer me exact change when paying with cash. Cute store, kinda pricey.
Best Oat milk cappuccino!
I pick up my breakfast here almost every morning for the last week!
We went here on July 4th and was pleasantly surprised by this cafe! They have two separate rooms with tables for studying, which we used, and the WiFi was decent. The coffee tasted great, we tried oat milk for the first time which the boyfriend fell in love with. And he’s a coffee fanatic so that’s saying something. They validate parking for you 2 hours and would gladly keep validating for you if you stay longer as well. I got the avocado toast, which had a very interesting taste to it and I wasn’t a huge fan but it looked pretty. If I go back, I would like to try other food options on their menu, since they’ve got a lot of other foods. Overall, really good first experience!
Very friendly service, good eats!
Claire, the cafe owner, is a sweetheart! Drinks and food are worth the wait. Pretty plating and tasty. Best quality in town.
Ordered a 12oz latte to go (their largest size). Comes with 2 shots and I ordered it with 4, with no syrup (they do homemake some of their syrups though). The latte exceeded my expectations; up there with the best Ive ever had. The barista was very pleasant, did not wait too long. Drink prices were decent. They have a board of specials, one per day. Today (Monday) it was something like 12% off pastries.
Literally the best white mocha I’ve ever had!
WOWW The cutest cafe in Washington. Reminds me of a French Cafe in Paris. Coffee delicious and small bites were great too.
One of my favorite places in Bellevue! Love their coffee, food, tea and the amazing people that work there! Support local businesses! Thank you for all you do for our community as well!
Love everything here! Favorite coffee shop in the area!
I love this cafe. Popped by today after more than a year since I last visited and the Spring Time Latte is STILL DELICIOUS. Staff are always friendly and inclusive, which matters to me. Please support them if you live in the area, a part of their proceeds is donated to needy organisations. Local business like Bellden make a community what it is and without them, our neighbourhood wouldn’t be quite the same.
Free parking, super friendly baristas, cute instagrammable space, and great coffee!
Long wait, salmon sandwich costs like a 16-ounce pack of salmon in Whole Foods. Coffee was good though.
I dont know how but my account went rogue and rated Bellden Café a 1 star; it deserves a 5! This place has by far the best cold brew Ive had in the area, after trying at least a couple dozen others. Its very smooth and has a little natural sweetness to it. I usually put in cream and sugar in my coffee, but not with their brew. The salmon toast is also stellar.
Easily the worst avocado toast Ive ever had, and it was more than $10! You dont even get half an avocado, and the bread isnt that good. If you want avocado toast, go to Five Stones Coffee - they give you maybe 1 or 2 full avocados, and its only around $5! Bellden Cafe is a complete ripoff and Ill actively advise friends to never visit.
