Came to this place and it took one hour for a simple diagnostic and the result: we cannot repair your tire. How come a store can take 1 hour to not complete the service. Only one mechanic for a huge location. Don’t got there. Please. Do this favor to yourself.

Johnny and Jordan were superstars. At first I we believed I needed an alternator and it was ordered. But after removing some parts they realized it was the belt and assembly to the alternator. Far less expensive by more than half. We all know that some would replace both and charge for both. They are good, honest guys. You can see a drastic and positive change here. They earned every star!!!!⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Ive always had great service from this location. Sometimes they are busy, or short on staff, so service can occasionally take a little while. However, Ive never been disappointed by the service I received, and I have on occasion even gotten better price here.

I just left my son’s truck with the service department. The AC went out. We fixed it with them around 9 months ago. Jonathan and Dinesh were extremely helpful with explaining what happened. They covered everything under warranty and we paid a small amount for labor. Thank you for taking such good care of us.

After seeing everyone elses reviews, I am extremely disappointed.I had a terrible experience. Made an appointment and dropped car off at 10am. I had to call at 12noon to check on it. Was told I should get a call back arround 2. Nothing. I had to call When I did I was told they were working on a quote give the 10-15 min. I had to ask at that point what they even found. He told me the check engine light would be a couple hundered dollars and the other issue they found, the labor itself would be over $700. They never called with an exact quote I called again right before 7 and no one answered. My daughter was originally going to wait at the shop to see what they found with the check engine light. I finally had to tell her to walk home.I then called first thing in the morning. I complained about what had happened the night before and the gentleman that answered said he would help me out. I told him I only wanted the things having to do with the check engine light done. Well instead of the couple of hunderds of dollars I was told, it was the hundreds of dollars plus FOUR HUNDRED dollars of labor that was never quoted to me. I was also charged the extended warranty that I was told I did not want.Now I am looking at the other repairs and that is reaching $1000. I dont think I trust them with future repairs.

These guys are seriously amazing. Johnnie, Casey, and Shawn worked with such urgency and efficiency to make sure I was able to take my car home the same day. There was a gap in communication and they did everything to correct it, keep me updated, and apologize multiple times for my wait. They are genuine and do great work. I won’t take my car anywhere else. Thank you guys so much!

Ladies, if you want to have the worst experience possible in dealing with a mechanic, go here. I only post this because I don’t want the same thing to happen to someone else. I brought my car in because I was having issues after a six hour trip from Missouri. They phoned me after doing diagnostics, and they quoted me over four grand for the repair. I politely paid ninety dollars for the diagnostic service and left. I took my car to a reputable mechanic that was recommended by family, and they did the repair for a little over five hundred dollars. Always get a second opinion if this is the first place you take your car. They will charge you an exorbitant amount, and if you don’t know any better, they will get away with it. They got my ninety dollars, but will never get a cent from me, or anyone else I can keep from going there for repairs.

Where as some are pretty bad, this Pep Boys is actually a very good one. A lot of auto parts stores just hire anyone to look stuff up on the computer.A couple of the guys that work here actually know their stuff. Only four stars, because they didnt have the tool, (for sale, or rental), that we needed to finish the job.

Do not step foot into this service department. They ran a diagnostic and explained the issue. I was told it was a quick fix. The mechanic, Tommy, stated he was 1000% sure the steps he was taking would fix the car. $600 was the total to DEFINITELY fix the car. I picked the car up and we headed out for Christmas vacation. Approximately 2.5 hours in to the trip the same problems occurred and the check engine light came back on. Once we returned we took the car back. They had the car for several hours and had not even driven the car. We took it back again today. Now they stated it was completely different issue and wanted another $600-$700. If I were you, I would NEVER go to a Pep Boys location. They do not care about you or your car....just your money and how much they can con out of you.

Classic bait and switch! Got an online quote from Chris to replace brake pads and rotors. After dropping off my truck for the repairs, was called by store manager Joe that the quote couldnt be honored and the cost would be double. Contacted customer service - they pulled the chat and confirmed the quote amount. They said made a mistake, leaving a few services off which drove up the cost. The store wouldnt honor the quote - said it came from customer service, not them! They ALL work for pep boys, just pointing fingers at each other! End result - I picked up my truck still needing repairs. Never again, and I cannot stress enough the lack of integrity and accountability from this company. Stay away!

I had a GREAT experience here. The guys like Chris and the manager Casey really know their stuff! I went to get some new tires and alignment, after getting my new tires I still noticed a problem and despite me bring a female, Casey took the time to listen and understand my concern and fixed the issue, even gave me a damn good deal!!! Probably the best customer service I have ever experienced while trying to get issues on my car fixed by myself. They also have a nice waiting area just in case you have to wait a while :)

In response to the lies you said..I was told to get the part from you guys since you get it cheaper..I paid 189$ the day after my car wouldnt start..Still had to wait 2 additional days for my car to be worked on..On top of that your thieving mechanic quoted me 110 for labor then uped it to 189$ for labor saying its a 4 hour job.Regardless of what u guys ripped me off and did a horrible job..Whoever reads this please DONT take your car to this place not worth the headache..Better off paying the extra dollars by going to an official place than to deal with them

The cashier brought to my attn many needed/useful items that had been marked to clearance for $.25-1.00. it was great. i just got a new used car that i need for myself and to teach my daughter to drive then it will become hers. i was able to customize my electronics and other automotive conveniences and i am quite pleased with my purchases and the service i received. thank you. xo

I cannot say enough about the GREAT customer service i received when i went in for a brake change and inspection. These guys not only worked with me to get down to a price I could afford but they also stayed open late, went to another store to get missing parts and finished the same day opposed to asking me to come back tomorrow. Im used to running into auto parts stores and finding a sea of junk and unhelpful staff. At this Pep Boys, this was NOT the case! The staff here were pleasant, knowledgeable, and extremely helpful! They answered questions and made recommendations for high quality, reasonably priced detailing products that actually ended up being huge improvements over the products I was using, and I consider myself a pretty big car guy! This is now my go-to store!

Last November, 2014, I took my 94 automobile in to Pep Boys in November for my 200,000 maintenance. My Pep Boys service adviser, Chris, did a great job in coordinating the work I had requested with the mechanic, Tommy. Because of the age of the vehicle, several replacement parts were not readily available. The parts were found and my vehicle is now in good shape and running very smoothly.What I liked best about my experience is that Chris and Tommy worked with me for several weeks after the major work was completed to correct several minor problems that were not evident when the major work was completed.I would recommend Pep Boys for providing service for oil change, brake work, and major engine overhaul of your engine.

Not pleased with my first experience with People Boys .I needed an light bulb insattlled that I had just purchased from OReillys.I got there about 7:07 pm in which they close at 8 pm.There was only one vehicle being serviced at the time.After standing there for a second or two an tech asked what I needed,after telling him that I needed an light bulb installed he oh ok and was proceeding to assist me, i let him know that i had already had an bulb an asked who i have to have bought one or there for them to install it.He replied no I could use the one I already had then he looked at his watch, he then stated that he didnt think he had time, I asked are u sure he then started again that he didnt think that he had time and if I could come back in the morning.He didnt even try to ask the tech if they help me nor did he seem to care .The customer that was there was getting one tire replaced in which they tire was already off and all they had to do was put the new one on.It was 45 mins before closing and I wouldnt have even taken no more that 20 mins at the most to place the light bulb in.

No such thing as Money Back Guaranteed!!!! Dont go to this place. They completely money hungry and under experienced. I have a 2011 Chrysler 200 Limited and never had bad car problems because I stay on my maintenance. I brought my car here to get the battery changed because it all of a sudden wouldnt drive over 15 mph and kept dying.They did a diagnostics to see if I had any other problems and they said Everything is fixed. The next day, my car wouldnt start again!!!! Had it towed Again with additional charges and did another diagnostic on it and said it was the alternator, fixed it, Charged me again, and gave me my car back. A couple hours later, my car does the same thing and dont drive over 15 mph and keeps dying. So, I look it up on the internet and come to find out, it the throttle system. So, I called them and told them what it was, the next day and had it towed again with more additional charges. Now they wanna charge me for another diagnostics, and the throttle system even though we all know what the problem is now. Total without counting this last tow, diagnostics, and throttle system......... $830.00 Satisfied 100% Money Back Guaranteed My Ass!!!!!

Braden is the manager I believe and he is a nice guy. Work can take longer than expected at times, but make an appointment, dont show up at the last second, and have someone pick you up.

Was better before the companysold out & the interior of the shopping area shrank it so small. It is a shadow of its former self. But they still do oil changes & things like that . Half the parking lot is now being used as pay parking for the airport so the parking lot always looks busy

I use to work for this pepboys, my words of advice do not take your car to this location, Ive seen a car set on fire and dropped of a lift, I even saw a man wait 8 hrs for a oil change and tire rotation... as far as the inside store goes always well stocked, and extremely helpful, the new staff anyways, they will ask if u need anything and are trained in almost everything they carry. Only problem is the random Joe so called mechanics in the shop. Besides that if u need anything or order anything theyll get it done.

Got a quick and accurate estimate. Bought four tires and my estimate stated, plus alignment if needed. They would not have done the alignment if it were not necessary. Waited 2+ hours for a so called free brakes inspection. They stated their techs were out to lunch only to get back and stand around 30 minutes drooling over a Dodge Challenger in the bay and decide they were over on hours and went home. Strangely they were able to see another walk in (40 minutes after me) and conduct the same brake inspection. This place is a waste of your time and money. Dont bother. I found another shop one mile east on Harwood who saw me in less than 5 minutes.

When I asked the manager what kind of oil I should buy for my car he quickly gave me wrong information. I then returned home with a really small size of the wrong oil. My brother corrected my purchase and we returned together to exchange it, the guy at the front was very helpful when it came to determining what I should actually buy. It was a bit frustrating that I had to come all the way back to correct the mistake of the manager, the regular store employees appeared to be more knowledgeable.

I’m writing this review for the Hertz on Harwood in Bedford that partners with Lyft for the Express Drive program. I was given a car this past Monday and it nearly broke down yesterday (2 days after getting the rental) with a passenger in my car! The passenger was worried that we weren’t going to make it to her destination. I am currently here at hertz and they will not exchange the car. They want me to wait here for God knows how long so pep boys can look at it. They will only exchange the car if it “can’t be fixed”. Absolutely unacceptable! My time is valuable and it isn’t fair to put us back in a car that could possibly break down again while working! Was told that is their policy. We pay way too much for these rentals to worry about a car that isn’t reliable. Definitely will never use Hertz for a rental in the future.

Very disappointed, Ive had work done here before so came back thinking I would get the same service but unfortunately not. I have a 1995 Camaro that needs some work done and got an estimate a few weeks back for 500 and even had the paperwork. So when I came back they doubled it. I would have left it had it not been for the fact that a lead mechanic was obnoxious and rude in the way he spoke to me. I knew right then he was going to add more hours that are unnecessary. Thanks for nothing guys. (Revised Friday ) 2 days after. The area manager has reached out to me and has made things right. I will be going back soon.

These guys are some of the dumbest around. I went to them for a 4 wheel alignment after having replace the 4 struts on my 2000 Toyota Avalon. I am very handy and do most of the work myself to save from paying someone elses salary. The guy comes back and said he test drove the car and hear popping and told me that I needed new struts. I then informed him that I just replaced all the struts all the way around. He leaves, confers with his colleagues and then proceeds to tell me that the lower control arm is garbage. He then asks if I replaced all the bushings and I informed him that I installed Detroit Axle complete strut kit. To which he replies, the mechanic is afraid to work on the car because you may have done the struts wrong. I asked him if they were going to do the alignment like I originally asked to which he replied, not without replacing the lower control arms. These are some of the most incompetent people Ive ever dealt with. Definitely dont recommend. I purchased the struts myself on eBay with free shipping and it took me 3 hours in my driveway to do the job with all hand tools. They have air tools and told me it was a 6 hour job and they were going to charge me $1600 for parts and labor. These guys are crooks. Save your money. The car is 16 years old and has 208k miles on it.....of course it pops and creeks when driving it.....moron.

May 16, 2015. Have an inop computer port. Walked in to have them run a diagnostic. One person ahead of me, two attendants at the desk and it took 20 min for Braden to very politely ask how can I help you. Was then told he had no electrical techs today but I could bring it in Sunday morning at 9 and he would take it right away . I returned later that day to drop it off so it would be there in the morning. When i walked in two techs were in waiting room watching TV. One said they wouldnt have any electrical techs on Sunday either. He never stood up or turned around to face me so never got his name. At this point, after two trips, I figured i would try the location in Irving. I looked at the reviews for that location and most reviews are the same as my experience. Based on time spent, customer service, and ability to service...I assume pep boys is not in need of/ cannot take new business. Will try christian brothers on Monday.

I came in this evening about 30 minutes before closing with a dead battery. Jeff was super helpful! He told me that my battery had a bad cell, and thoroughly explained the differences between the 2 batteries that I could choose to replace mine with. He even showed me where to find coupons for the service! I was out quickly, and what could have been the icing on the cake of a frustrating day was a pleasant surprise.

Unethical, unethical, unethical. This location has is so ridiculously unethical it’s amazing. Purchased a set of 4 tires with road hazard protection. 1,000 miles on them and one needed to be replaced. Get it replaced and they initially wanted to charge me a 50% premium on the price of the original tire. If I only paid originally $75 for the tire how could the new tire cost $121 if I’m covered on the warranty I purchased. Then they said they made a mistake and came up with $88. Again I asked how the new tire could cost me that much if the tires have a 100,000 mile warranty and I’ve only have 1,000 miles on them. Then they came down to $66, then $60. It was like musical chairs. Don’t go to these guys they don’t care about retaining customers. Inside there shop area they have a big sign on how much revenue they made for the day and their objective. They only care about generating revenue and overcharging customers.

Service here was fantastic yet again. Had my brakes serviced here about a year ago, and while I will admit I initially felt a little up-sold, the service was fast and friendly.I recently had a strange noise develop that I felt was related to my brakes, I took my car to a Pepboys in Plano thinking that I would have a similar experience. Boy was I wrong. Rude and impatient, and implied that if I did not immediatley spend $4800 with them (for brakes, suspension, and engine mounts) my car wouldnt even be safe to get home, in disbelief I returned to these guys.They went above and beyond searching for the source of the noise apologizing profusely when none of us could replicate it at the shop. They told me my brakes were fine and suggested that my engine mounts should be replaced, showed me where and why they believed this, and told me that while they honestly didnt think it would solve my issue, it would likely help them locate it. They quoted me at $360 (the shop in Plano said $480 before labor), but they wouldnt have the part until Sunday. I explained that I work Sundays and live an hour away, so they got the part from another supplier and ended up having me out the door for $220. The best part is that the sound has largely gone away.

Worst place ever to get an oil change. Absolutely the worst. I made an appointment for 4 pm on Friday. After waiting 15 minute for the person at the desk to quit talking to a girl, he took my information. I waited for 30 minutes more before he told me that they were shorthanded. He said if I would reschedule for today (Saturday ) he would give me 1/2 off. Ok, seems fair and I watched him enter it into the computer. Went there today and they claimed thatI was not in the system. The guy who checked me in yesterday was there but quickly went out the door. No matter because the other guy told me they were really backed up! I WILL NEVER GO TO Pep Boys AGAIN; not for parts and certainly not for sevice. I would give them zero stars if I could.

Been coming here for over a decade...first time I’ve been disappointed. Chris is amazing BUT his team, while nice are slow and incompetent. Felt like I was in a 3 stooges TV show...guys in the shop didn’t display solid teamwork and were apathetic to what was going on with customers. Just a slow, painful experience that caused me to lose confidence in a shop I used to trust. Just a circus in there today...poor experience all around.

We had a flat tire on Saturday evening with very limited options of repair. Associates at Pep Boys Bedford were very helpful. Even though he was tied up Daniel and his team went out of the way in helping us get this fixed. Best customer service and saving us the pain of a ruined long weekend. Worst place ever. Had to spend 3 hours here for them just to mess up. Okay so I went in to get 2 new tires. They said that would take 45 minutes to and hour to do. 2 tires really. Okay fine. Well then they run into a problem over a messed up lug nut. Had to buy a whole new set $33. Then they tell me I have a stripped strut. Okay another $3 but $52 in labor. They spend 3 hours doing just this. Well then I get my car back they park it I went to reverse. Hey I hear something rubbing against something. Not quietly at all. It was very loud inside the car. I park the car walk in and let them know. The guy acted surprised to hear this.... It was so loud I heard it over my ac and over the radio. Your not going to tell me you didnt hear it when there was nothing on. The guy, I had looked over at one point and he was hammering my calibers... He hit them into the router. And claims he didnt even notice or hear it. Spent $350 here for them to pull that and waste 3 hours out of my life. Oh and they were supposed to balance my tires. No. No they didnt. Worst place on history.

I had a blowout that had to get fixed ASAP. I arrived about 20 minutes before close and thy were able to accommodate me and get me in and out. I always have a great experience when I bring my vehicle here

NEVER EVER WILL EVER DO BUSINESS WITH ANY PEP BOYS AGAIN!!I had a battery/alternator issue and drove past an Auto Zone and Oreilys to come straight here as I intended to purchase a Bosch Platinum battery and/or alternator for my truck.I get there and ask them to check the battery as well as the alternator which is a free service from the two other auto parts stores I drove past. Well, they immediately start with an upsell of $15 for a charging system eval. REALLY??!?? I drove past two vendors that freely offer this same service for a sales pitch??Well, Ive called AAA and theyre on their way to get my truck as I write this to take her home so I can diagnose/repair her myself.I went into Pep Boys and asked to speak to the Manager. I told her clearly. I hope your $15 upsell attempt was worth a customer because yall just lost a battery sale, alternator sale and a customer for life as I will NEVER set foot in a Pep Boys as long as I live. I will let everyone know in every review and social media site I can find of how you value sales attempts over long-term customer satisfaction and loyalty.Pep Boys, take your sales pitch and shove it where the sun doesnt shine.

I wish I could rate this experience higher....5 is not eoughMy wife had just picked me up from work and I noticed something was in my right/rear tire - fearing the worst we pulled over and it was. A HUGE piece of metal pushed all the way into the tire and it was losing air pretty quickly. We Googled this Pep Boys location as the closest and drove up at about 7:15pm (they close at 8pm) Came in to the service desk area and met Johnnie - who assured me they would take care of it. (Professional& super nice guy)..who got a service tech (Jacob) on the issue right away. My truck (Toyota Tundra) was literally in the service bay within 5 minutes of arrival. I was truly scared about how much a new tire would cost. Met Jon who showed me a piece of big chunk of metal that was the cause of the issue. -- I wish other garages could see the level of professionalism/customer service these guys have (Johnnie, Jon and Jacob) They were able to repair, balance and reinstall the tire and get my wife and I back out on the road within 30 minutes of getting there. They checked all the other tires for issues / damage and took the time to make sure all the pressures in the other tires were correct as well. They def went beyond for my wife and I. I am also forwarding this to Pep Boys Corp in Phila PA...

Im not normally a review person. I just wanted to say THANKS for the great service I got today at Pep Boys in Bedford. I asked them to check out my AC system, which was cycling on/off quite often. They said it was $35 to diagnose it and I didnt hesitate (thats cheap!). Turns out it was overfilled the last time I had somebody work on the engine. The mechanic at Pepboys said it was another $35 to fix the problem and I told him to go for it. Come time to pay, and the service guy said I owed $35 (I think plus tax). I told him that I was told it would be $35 to check and $35 to fix the issue, so I owed $70. He said they werent going to charge me for repairing the issue and apologized for the wait (which wasnt bad, I knew they were busy today). I know they cant do that for everybody, but that was awfully nice of him to both diagnose and fix my AC for a mere $35. Ill certainly take my car there without hesitation after this type of service. I also felt they were very honest and strait up with me about the issue. THANK YOU!!

Slow and inefficient.Response to Pep Boys reply below:Nothing to investigate - slowness is slowness, and inefficiency is inefficiency. Workers standing around; no communication between workers; waited 45 minutes just find a part; waited 30 minutes just to check out after service was clearly done. Organize your inventory, get these dudes to talk to each other and get work done not just stand in each others way, and get customers out the door when work is done. People have lives to live. Wont be going back.Cary (if I remember correctly) was nice to me, so that is the one thing that was alright. That and simply finishing the work warrants a 3 star, but without those items your business would have received just 1.(Also: Its unfortunate that you guys dont appreciate...business from anyone who doesnt give a 5 star.)

NEVER AGAIN, WENT FOR AN OIL CHANGE & FREE A/C CHECK WITH A PRESET APPOINTMENT...NO A/C TECH AFTER 5, MY APPT. WAS AT 6 AND THEN WAS 2ND TO LAST BUT TOLD IT COULD TAKE 1 1/2 HOURS BEFORE DONE, THERE WAS ONLY 3 CARS THERE.. THE GUY IN FRONT OF ME WAS TOLD HE HAD TO REPLACE HIS TIRE, IT WAS IRREPARABLE WITH A PIECE OF METAL IN IT..THEN 15 MIN. LATER TELLS ME OHHH, YOU HAVE A TIRE THATS GOING TO NEED REPLACING SOON, IT HAS A PIECE OF METAL IN IT, MIND YOU, IM THERE FOR AN OIL CHANGE..WHEN I QUESTION WHICH ONE, LEFT OR RIGHT, HE SAYS, OOH, LET ME CHECK WITH THE MECHANIC COMES BACK AND SAYS OOH, SORRY MISTAKEN WRONG CAR, IT WAS THE OTHER CAR 🤬🤬 IM A 62 YR. Well apparently the store has permanently closed, as in empty, they are gone. I brought my car in for an electrical issue that I described in detail over the phone. I was told they could try to diagnose it.When I brought it in I was told that they can not diagnose intermittent electrical issues.One of the shop guys told me that the service advisors dont really know what theyre talking about, so if you have a non run of the mill issue you may want to speak to someone in the shop before scheduling an appointment.

Never used the shop but been in the store several times. Just today I had a fantastic experience with a lady whos name tag read Bama (seriously). She looked up and retrieved the part I needed and threw in a couple if freebees after I completed my purchase and walked back in when Id realized Id forgotten something.
