I wish all uhaul locations were as quick and friendly

A good experience (that I never wish to have again), with very understanding, helpful, and friendly staff. The stars I gave were solely due to the friendliness of the staff. I could not give more due to the fact that we were informed that we would pay 1 amount, and that fee was held as pending on our charge card, as per the sales assoc. as an ESTIMATE- and if we didnt go over the milage etc, we would be reimbursed. If we did, they would just adjust it and take the balance. However, we only went 1 mile over and was charged 9 dollars extra, so the 9 dollars added made it a different balance, therefore we were charged AGAIN! The reason I gave the 2 stars is because the way the young lady explained things, is how it should have been explained initially(though the young man did give good customer service, as well) which was that the pending charge falls off in 3-5 business days (which doesnt quite explain the 9 dollar difference, but...) we will see how it goes. Also, the truck felt like it could use a tune up and the tires needed balancing. In my opinion, that made for an unsafe trip and a very uncomfortable bumpy ride. UPDATE: money refunded BUT they charged 62 bucks for the gas NOT being 3 lines to a half of a tank. Going back to budget

Well, they were pretty nice. My truck broke down on the interstate in front of their shop and it was 192°. They let me come in and sit down in the cool air while I made a few phone calls. I bet they have pretty reasonable prices on U-Hauls too

Good service and the truck and trailer made the move so much easier!

Cannot rent a pu truck without a credit card. Ended up using a small moving truck for a few boxes. Truck was dirty and had no ramp but it was a short process. Staff were very nice and did their job well.

Each time I have visited this store everyone has been very helpful and nice. Thank you for making the experience easy!

Was told thatvI could rent a pick up truck and I was allowed to place the reservation online. I gotvto the store to be met with saying I couldnt rent a pick up without a major credit card.Then, the employees cared more about closing the store exactly at 7pm rather than keeping somebody safe while trying to find a ride to the nearest Waffle House.

Thank goodness they were open on Sunday because I would not have to want to go through returning the truck on a weekend where you have to take a thousand pictures to get everything checked back in

If got two days to sit in the lobby and wait for help then this is the perfect place.

Still being charged 2 months after moving everything out of storage. I will NEVER do business with this location again. I even have a receipt proving I moved my stuff out. U-HAUL customer service says I need to call the location to dispute anything, but they NEVER answer their phone. After having to drive an hour to the location to actually talk to someone, they gave me a receipt stating I moved out, but they still continue charging me. Stay away from this location. If they attempt to charge me again, I will be filing a police report for fraud.

This is my first ever 1star review and meant to leave this review middle of 2020. I went into the uhaul to pick up a vehicle wiring harness to connect to trailer from my Jeep. The sales person looked into his computer and presented me with a harness. I took it home and proceeded for install. Long story short, I ran into a problem with the product install and proceeded to contact the manufacturer for assistance. I was then informed that the product purchased was incompatible with my Jeep. I took the product back and was informed by the same employee who sold me the product that Uhaul did not accept returns and basically I should just eat the cost for a product that he had previously determined would work for my vehicle. In short, screw this place! Go elsewhere if you need anything to do with trailer wiring!

Typically never have any issues using this location until the last visit. Manager hassled with me about a license renewal which seemed a little uncessary and overstepping of boundaries as the renewal was legitamate - but nontheless she was very thorough and had no issues afterwards.

Had a storage unit at this location. Moved out, they charged me for a month the day after. Tried contacting on site manager, noone answered. NEVER received refund. Then the following month was charged again. I will never do business with this place again.

Employees dont know what they are doing. Every transaction has to be called in. Equipment is never available even when reserved 3+ days in advance. CSR in store looks like he just walked in off the street. No uniform, no badge. Hoodie and jeans. There is no professionalism here. What a joke.

Had a reservation for a truck three days prior to the pick up date.Only to find out there wasnt a truck available after traveling eight hours to pick it up. Just sad.

The young manager Gabrielle? I think was his name. Was very professional, polite and he paid attention to my paperwork, corrected it and apologized for the mistake. We need more people like him.

Subpar service while there and dont expect to get them on the phone, expect to be asked to hold and wait for 20 min only to be transferred to corporate EVERY time.. I tried 3 times

Absolutely wonderful experience at this location!!! Rudy & the manager, Jena (sp?) were in great moods despite the horrible weather, they were friendly, happy, & extremely helpful! 10/10 would recommend & will absolutely use this location & its amazing staff again for any future moving needs!

Very fast and on demand services for a renter truck

Spent time out of my day to go up to this place to RESERVE a car hauler two days in advance. Recieved good customer service, friendly, yadayada...Money came out of my account and all. Got a call that the unit was not there today and I would have to go to another location to pick it up.If you know you have to rent a unit out and there is one local that you are sending me to go get, go get the freaking unit yourself so it is ready for YOUR customer that has already paid YOU and have YOU all their info and business.Unacceptable business practice. I understand that sometimes trailers and trucks do not come back on time, but there is a way to make your customers happy and your business thrive at the same time and this is not it.

Best UHAUL in Beaumont! Jasmine helped me and she was awesome! place is clean and they have a good selection of rentals. trust me avoid the one on college st. in Beaumont and go here. was very pleased with their service! thank you

Had the trucks available we needed that morning to kickoff several moving trips from Beaumont! Multiple 🚚 selection availability and close by compared to other stores in town.

I used this location for storage unit rental, trailer rental, and purchase of moving supplies. The staff is friendly and helpful, but it takes forever to get anything done. Plus I had termites get into my bedframe and boxes while in the non climate control storage. Luckily they did not have enough time to do serious damage as I only rented the unit for 3 months.

Great service and very friendly people. 5 minutes to pick it up and 5 minutes to check in and they were as nice as could be.

This used to he a good location but my experience this time has been the absolute worst. I arrived early, around 6:50 and waited for the store to open at 7:00. I walked up to the doors at 7:03 and the doors were still locked. I waited until 7:12 before the staff ipened the doors. I rented a 26 truck and the gentleman that was cleaning and ibspecting rhe trucks failed to insoect my truck. I lwft the location and had to turn around at the 1st exit and bring the truck back because the truck was smoking so heavily that I couldnt see or breath. The gentleman from the Uhaul location said that he never got a chance to i spwct the truck. So, I ask for abother truck and they said they didnt have any other truck of that size. The inly size they had was 15. I couldnt use that because it was too small. So, I inquired about trucks from other locations and there was a 20 available in Lumberton. So, the lady behind the counter said she was cancelling out the contract for the truck I tried to rent. So, I went to the other location and rented the other truck. I finished and paid for it. The next day I had a charge on my account fro. The Lawrence Drive location that was not authorized. I called customer service and they said they are giving me a refund for that but I have ti wait 3-5 days before I receive my money back. Why?!?! That money wasnt authorized to be taken out! You stole money from me which put me in a bind and now I have to wait a week before I receive my own money. I will NEVER NEVER NEVER rent from yall again!!!

Booked online for a cross country move a month in advance. Called the week prior to confirm, and again the night prior when they confirmed the rental was on site. Showed up at 745 for our 8 am reservation, and they had just given it to someone else. We got absolutely no discount and paid full price despite this issue throwing us and the hired movers hours behind schedule. Wound up driving an hour to a location which did have a truck. Would never recommend.

Rented truck for 19.95 and opted out of $10 protection. After giving the keys back they charged me for the protection anyway. I brought it up to the worker and she said I had to have it. Why make it appear optional if it truly isnt. Or maybe she lied. Either way be prepared to pay more than what youre quoted.

I wish I could give zero stars. I would not recommend this location to anyone. I rented a trailer to move to Florida last week. On my way there, my trailer had a blowout in the middle of nowhere on a bridge in Louisiana. I called roadside assistance and was informed I would have to be towed off of the bridge before the trailer tire could be repaired. When it was all said and done I waited for 8 HOURS on the side of the road. I missed my appointment with my realtor, I missed a job interview, and I missed work because I could not get back to TX in time. When I called and spoke with the GM, Phillip Jarmon, to see what he could do for me he was the most unhelpful and discourteous person I have ever dealt with in my entire life. He refused to let me leave the trailer in Florida even though I informed him that the technician cited improper tire maintenance as the reason for the blowout and that I did not feel safe driving the trailer all the way back to TX. He also refused to give me a reimbursement on the trailer. I am not sure when customer service went out the window but this Uhaul location clearly does not care about its customers or their business. I am beyond unsatisfied and am glad I am moving out of state so I will never have to use this company again. Please call Mr. Jarmon and give him all of your complaints, concerns, and criticisms. Maybe you will have better luck than I did.

I reserved a four wheel furniture dolly and was told all I needed to do was go pick it upSo the next day I went to pick it upI was greeted by a not so friendly employee who did his job super slowHe Charged me for the dolly after having a hard time finding my reservationThen we went outside to get the dolly but they had already rented my dolly I reserved to someone else and refused to rent me one of the 6 they had inside because those are for sale

It is not a great place to rent to from at all. Cause when you ask them if you can drop it off at the closest u-haul they tell you no. So unless you want to get all your money back dont use this one go somewhere else

Rented a trailer from them a week ago. They were expecting me and hooked everything up themselves. The gentleman that helped me didnt install the adapter I needed for the wiring correctly, but I went back today and got a replacement - no questions asked.

Called from Houston to get price and reservation info for a truck. Waited over a hour, no call back. Finally got someone on the phone that could not help me.
