Awesome place for some authentic Latin food in the Baton Rouge area. Its a hole in the wall but the food is fantastic. Have been here to many times to count on my trip here from Texas.

OH. MY. GOODNESS! Currently continuing the hunt for the greatest, most authentic taco in Baton Rouge, and we might just have a winner. However, given the deliciousness of this quest, we dont plan on stopping lol. El Tio is a great little spot, not necessarily in the greatest of locations. But lets be honest, the BEST food never is. Im already looking forward to the next time I get to visit. Check it out, you wont be disappointed.

Not the best authentic Mexican restaurant in town. Several hole in the walls on Old Hammond Hwy that are much better. This has more of an Handuras cruising maybe? Which is okay.

Why go to taco bell?!?! Better tacos; same cost.Best tacos in town are at El Tio.Authentic. Delicious.Try the lingua tacos.

Authentic Mexican food with glass bottled Coke, Fresca, etc. with good servings and prices. Family friendly. No cervesas or alcohol served. Practice your Espanol.

This place has great quality food in a generous portion compared to other shops. The verde sauce and the salsa are the best I’ve had in Baton Rouge! I’m always enthralled with whatever food choice I make from their superb menu selection.

I have been touring the tacos joints up and down Burbank. The tacos here are authentic and delicious! The server is super friendly and polite and they actually have a full menu (I think they might even serve breakfast... I cant remember). If you are a fan of real street tacos, you should definitely add El Tio to your rotation!

I LOVE the tacos, I only got three and thought maybe I should have ordered more or a side of rice and beans but honestly it was just enough. A good lunch for like 11 dollars. Not too bad! Wish I would have gotten the chips and salsa to go, too though. I wasnt offered chips to go.

O Dios Mio! We finally found some authentic street tacos near us.... And they are moi deliciosos! We ordered asada and pollo tacos and a burrito and they are legit. We will be back soon!!

If youre looking for authentic Mexican food at a great price, this is the place. My family and I have tried roughly 60% of the menu and havent been disappointed yet. Excellent food, great prices, and extremely friendly service.

The real deal. Hands down the best Mexican food in Baton Rouge. Tip: Get the the Carne Asada Dinner and get 6 flour tortillas (it comes with 3, ask for another 3). $10 and its more than enough for two people. The Chicken gorditas were excellent too.

It tasted amazing. I would have given it 5 stars if they werent out of quesadillas! Thats what I wanted but I had a chicken burrito instead. It was delicious!

Best carne asada tacos in town! Very good, very authentic Mexican food. The seating arrangements are a little strange, and its not always the cleanest, but the food is excellent and the service is great.Oh and definitely try the caldo de res (beef stew)!

Unfortunately the attention to worsened wanted tortillas but the waitress was filling sauces to go ?? Doing that in the middle of lunch time that is normally busyI asked for an avocado, so she brought me half of the half and she told me thats the avocado order, I told her, no matter what I pay, I want it whole, it seems that Im going to eat what she tells me, as she is going to pay.
