Best coffee I’ve had in seven years. I used to work in specialty coffee and the pour over made for me here was unbelievably delicious. I bought a pound for home brewing as well. And then I tried their blueberry and bacon toast. I was skeptical but it tasted absolutely incredible. This is hand down one of the tastiest shops I’ve been to. High recommendation!

Loved it!! I enjoyed my trio breakfast and the two coffees I had ❤✊🏽 i got the Avocado toast, Nutella toast, and the blueberry bacon toast. The service was great except for one of the baristas. I had a plastic small cup of water. I asked him if I could have some water and he didnt even think twice and serve me in the same plastic small cup even though he was giving another person water in a nice glass with ice. Other than that, I love the service and place.

There is dine in available now.Plenty of parking. This is a really cute coffee shop. Open, plenty of seating, a lot of outlets at the large table near the front. The lighting is great. The staff is friendly.I ordered the regular drip coffee. It tastes incredible. It also comes with two free refills and the price - only $2 and change. My girlfriend ordered the latte. It’s delectable. Perfectly made.We also both ordered the avocado toast. The presentation and taste both excellent! It came with a small aide salad as well. Dressed perfect with a balsamic dressing. Made me want to dive right in. In addition, they have wooden forks instead of plastic. I love that. This is a local gem. I would return every and any time to read, study, casual coffee dates.

An exceptional addition to the Baton Rouge coffee scene. Not only serving up delicious coffee and baked goods, but serving the local community by providing employment for refugees. Light House Coffee also supports global and local organizations that have a mission to promote human rights. The retail area within the coffee shop has candles, jewelry, baskets, and more made by artisans worldwide. I cant recommend this place enough!

Knowledgeable and friendly staff who run a clean and organized establishment. My french press was served plunger up with a timer, allowing me to perfect it’s strength. It was rich and medium bodied with great aroma and smoky and nutty flavors. The carafe actually held enough for two cups; so for 3.25 it was a sweet deal.My English Breakfast tea was served steeping on a traditional saucer plate. Steeping for six minutes produced an excellent body and flavor. Finally, the chocolate chip cookie was soft, fresh, and baked to perfection with a dash of sea salt on top. Perfect flavor balance between salty and sweet.Overall, it was a fantastic experience. I will recommend this place to everyone I know.

What a delightful find near LSU! Spacious but comfortable coffee shop right off of Lee near Highland! Whimsical coffee flavors such as Cereal and Cinnamon Roll, as well as an equally enticing Earl Grey brownie!Because it was such a hot day I decided to go with the Lavender Lemon Cold brew. The cold brew was fresh, with soft hints of lavender finished with the refreshing balance of lemons. A perfect drink for one of the last days of summer! The in store boutique offers a wonderful array of uplifting fare such as clothing, notebooks, and jewelry!I loved the fact that pricing is more than reasonable and tax is already included in your total! I cant wait to come back!

This place is gorgeous! The decoration is on trend and the atmosphere is welcoming with a ton of natural light. Great for an all day study session. It’s really great to have a locally-owned non-chain coffee shop in this part of town finally! They have a conference room you can reserve to use and lots of seating indoor and out. There are pastries and biscotti to eat and tasty sounding gourmet toast with toppings like goat cheese and vinegar or avocado and jalapeño. I have tried the pour over coffee and I really enjoyed it! It was served on a cute platter with a carafe with a refill on it. The subtle fruity flavors of the coffee came through very nicely and was delicious both black and with cream and sugar.

Excellent shop! Certainly a contender for the overall best coffee shop experience in the Baton Rouge area. The location has plenty of parking, plenty of seating inside and out, a very inviting atmosphere, knowledgeable and friendly staff, and delicious espresso! Their choice of LaMarzocco makes it the perfect centerpiece for their wide bar space. My cortado was everything I wanted it to be and at a rather reasonable price for a specialty coffee shop. It’s a little far off the highway for my preference, but it was worth the first trip and I’m sure I’ll be finding my way back again.

ABSOLUTELY FANTASTIC! Everything from the service, atmosphere, and quality of food to the presentation and portion-size was perfectly coordinated! The woman at the counter was extremely helpful in giving advice to us first timers! She recommended one of her personal favorite menu items and added a special twist and was very informative on the tastes and flavors of the menu items. Our wait time was well within limits even as business began to pickup for brunch which is always a plus! As for the food and drinks, they went beyond my expectations. The level of complexity of the tastes greatly exceeded the simplicity of the ingredients! Bravo! They have truly made my day!

Really beautiful coffee shop. If you’ve ever been to Magpie downtown, it’s unusually similar to the decor, layout, and style. The menu and concept is very different. There is an affiliation with the chapel on LSU campus. Every now and then in the evening they hold private/public church events here. The coffee is great and the vibe is exceptional. During my first visit, I was a little put off by the starkness of the place--theres a lot of white, and a smattering of fake succulents. But, at the same time, the place is a well-kept-up, clean, and relaxing place to spend a morning. The specialty drinks are excellent and the baristas are friendly and kind. Theres a Hope Shop inside that sells merchandise created by refugees. After a few visits, it has become a local favorite and I hope that it stays open for a long time.

Formerly known as, The Good Cup, this cafe got a full on flip my house renovation and it looks good! New owners, new interior, new everything as of 2018. They even carry the towns best local espresso here, Handlebar Coffee, and pastries from the same bakery Handlebar uses. Its now a very beachy, communal style environment with strong wifi, a few scattered outlet options, booths, tables and out door patio seating. The bathrooms are a breath of fresh air too, which, if you knew Good Cup before, is really the cherry on top of this cafe renovation. While in town I visited a handful of times trying their cucumber toast, oat milk latte, and acái bowls. All a few cents more than I would like to spend but well worth the purchases, would 100% recommend, and will be back for more! Handlebar Coffee, in and of itself, is a gem and the fact that theres a venue on the Mesa that carries it now just raised property values significantly, in my opinion! Its a must try, and oat milk is the best cream to combo it with.

Lighthouse is one of a limited number of shops in Baton Rouge selling specialty coffee. They are not a roaster and source their product through a partnership with Topeca. In terms of the drinks themselves, they produce coffee to a solid standard without producing anything particularly exciting for coffee lovers, the selection is somewhat lacking particularly on the espresso front where they only offer a boring blend and there isnt a great deal of artisanal skill from the baristas who are largely inexperienced. They use a kalita wave along with a showerhead automated system for the pour overs which adds consistency at the expense of the craft nature some look for when paying specialty prices.Lighthouse offers Topeca beans whole but purchasing them very fresh can be challenging based on delivery schedules and they are more pricey than some local competition. They also offer a limited food menu which is really rather pricey but not at all unpleasant. The redeeming factors of the cafe are found in its environment and mission. They employ refugees as a large part of their workers and also offer a little shop which sells handcrafted items from which the proceeds support charitable causes. The environment is light, airy, and simply a joy to be in when the weather allows them to open the glass garage style door. There are plenty of charging points and a variety of seating options for individuals and groups. The only drawback in this respect is the dreadful WiFi access.Overall a nice cafe with a pleasant atmosphere and acceptable product.

My family and I have enjoyed your coffee since day one. We really love supporting your mission. The other day we were all talking about Light House and discovered we all have had the same issue. The to go cups for the iced coffee spill, leak and generally cause a mess on your shirt and in your car. The cups are too thin and the lids do not seal well. We hope you can look into this and upgrade your plastic cups.We still support your mission, but hate that the coffee spills on our dress shirts on the way to work.
