One of the best beignet stops in Baton Rouge. Open late too! Plenty of seating and service is always super friendly. Coffee is delicious. 2 things I think would take it to 5 stars: 1) larger coffee selection. 2) more breakfast type food options. Im not complaining though, this place is a Gem! Love it!
Great place to get something to eat with the kiddo in the morning. We can both pretend to drink coffee and have a wonderful time. The staff is awesome too
The BEST Beignets! Made fresh on premises! A delightful experience. Slightly crispy on the outside; soft, light and fluffy on the inside; plenty of powdered sugar! Great prices, delicious coffee too! Ample seating in a cheerful, bright, friendly environment. Plus outdoor seating. And a DRIVE-thru if you just want to enjoy them at home or on the go. No need to go into the city—these beignets are traditional and PERFECT.
A Baton Rouge classic with yummy beignets and cafe au lait. Great service!
Stopped by at 6am (the listed opening time) on the way out of town from a road trip. At 6am the lady working said it would be 15 minutes until beignets were available. While frustrated, we waited. Went through the drive through again at 6:15 and she told us it would be 10 minutes until the beignets were available. Why open at 6 when you don’t start serving until 6:30??
Amazing beignets, way better than anywhere I’ve had them before, and the hot chocolate was delicious. The atmosphere is very cozy and cute, and the staff are very quick at keeping the line short. The regular beignets and the beignet fingers are both worth it, but I recommend the beignet fingers if you have a larger group of people.
There has never been, and will never be, a better beignet. Literal heaven on a plate. Everytime we stop through LA, it is a must visit. You just havent lived until youve gotten their hot beignets with a cafe lait. Get at least 1 order per person, because nobody will want to share these. Best place...10/10 recommend.
So I think these are my favorite beignets I’ve had in all of Louisiana! That includes the famous cafe du Monde. They are quick and delicious and plentiful! The only downside to this place is I think they could use a bit of a facelift on the decor inside but otherwise this is THE place for code and beignets. I personally preferred the fingers over the traditional beignets.
Delicious. Maybe better than cafe du monde New Orleans. Highly recommend.
A must-visit in Baton Rouge. This institution has provided delicious coffee and beignets for decades.
I love their beignets. They have a good texture and density to them, so they feel more fulfilling.
Always stop here with my family for a to go when ever one of the family member have a dentist appointment. Jeez this bring back the memories and always be my to go! And I love it so much ! Recommend ALWAYS💙
Super fast! Great service. Lots of seating indoors and outdoors. Despite being the House of Powdered Sugar, it was really clean!!
I dont visit here often enough, but when I do the service is great, the food is excellent and the atmosphere fantastic. I am able to talk with people who I dont get to see on a regular basis and its good to see old friends for good morning conversations.
A great place to visit! The food is great, the workers are very nice, and the environment is all around pleasant. A definite stop when I come back to visit!
Dare I say better than Cafe du Monde?Yes, yes I do.
Nice place for the sit around and drink a coffee with friends and enjoy your coffee they have the best coffee I love their coffee I love I love that coffee is its another good place to go and just hang out a friendly staff quick and fast I just love them check it out
Finger beignets aren’t real beignets, they’re literally just like funnel cakes. there’s no sauce (chocolate, strawberry) that comes with them either. cafe au lait coffee was delicious, though.
I was referred to these guys by a local while passing through. The beignets here are so good its almost criminal. By far the best Ive ever had. The place was clean, the staff was friendly and the ability to watch them work made for a fun and cool experience. If you need a reason to visit Baton Rouge, this is it.
Great selection of high end stores and classic eateries such as Cafe Du Monde.
Place is worth going to and worth going to again and again! Not far off the interstate and worth the stop. This is not really a coffee house per se. They do have some coffee and some PO Boy’s and some soups - and they do have beignets! The place is fairly large, great seating and very clean.Service was great and the person at the register was helpful with a smile. They brought our food to us where we were seated. We have been to New Orleans and had beignets from Cafe Du Monde and I think this place brings New Orleans to Baton Rouge.A lot of times with pastries like this I wish there was just a little more powdered sugar. Even when you ask for extra places still don’t do it right. Coffee Call does it right. Not only did they put enough on my beignets but they have a powdered sugar shaker at each table.Hats off to this place.
Coffee Call is a Baton Rouge tradition. I have had the pleasure of experiencing both dine-in and take-out beignets and coffee, and each visit has been pleasant. Ive dined in with my family where we sit at the large table and enjoy a good catch-up conversation. The gentleman who was clearing the tables also made the experience very nice...he chatted with us and was very humorous :) Ive ordered at the drive-by window when it was raining (I noticed that the view from the window was super nice...we got to see the beignets being fried up close).Once, I even emailed the owner/manager from Yelp to inquire about buying a Coffee Call signature sweatshirt as a gift. We conversed and set up an exchange. Again, it was a very pleasant experience.I would recommend.
First time in Baton Rouge and boy, their coffee and beignets were so good!
Best decaf iced coffee I’ve ever had. The beignets were perfect and delightfully messy. Worth the stop.
Bit of a line, free wifi for paying costumers. Didnt buy anything but will next time its really lovely and relaxing. Would chill for hours here.
Best beignets in town! Love that they have a drive through option for takeout as well
Absolutely love this place! Fun atmosphere, the best people working there and good food.
The consistency of the coffee and the Beignets at this place have been about the same since I was in high school. And to be a tattletale that was over 20 years ago. Usually you could get a large plate of beignet fingers and feed a table of four. One thing that Ive always enjoyed as theyve got the old school bus boy that will come and tackle the powdered sugar. Kudos coffee call.
The beignet fingers were amazing!
Customer service needs some improving and they need to be more organized. My husband and I traveled out of the way. We had to wait a while, while everyone else that order after us received their orders. The beignets was very good though.
Coffee Call was wonderful! The beignets were so, melt in your mouth good. Well worth a quick stop!
Great Beignets and Coffee.Bringing a friend tomorrow.
I love this place. You get very generous helpings of finger bengiet w/ plenty of powder sugar
Stopped in here on our way through. The beignets were fantastic, the cafe au lait was fantastic and the people were so nice! If you dont stop here every time you are in south Louisiana anywhere, what even are you doing?! This will be a favorite we return to every time we are in the area!
Cute atmosphere. Biscuits were a little dry. Beniets were good.
Cafe au lait was great and hot. Plenty of hot tea options for my wife. First experience with beignets for my wife and daughter, we all loved them. Much better than cafe du monde in New Orleans. I ordered 3 and went back for another plate of 3. Quick counter service and beignets came out hot, crispy and fluffy. A true delicacy. Ive had them at many different places and they really have a great product here!
Beignet fingers. Get a large extra powder.
If you’ve got a craving for cafe du monde but don’t want to drive all the way to NOLA, then look no further than Coffee Call in Baton Rouge. Nestled in the corner of a small red brick shopping center, you almost expect this to be a typical coffee shop, but you’d be wrong. The menu is short and to the point. The staff are efficient yet friendly and they aren’t stingy with the powdered sugar. All the atmosphere of your favorite New Orleans beignet spot, without the stickiness....or the pesky flies
Always love to stop by Coffee Call when I visit Baton Rouge...its my go to place! GREAT FOOD...GREAT PEOPLE!
The beignets were nice, fluffy, and extremely fresh. The smoked sausage biscuit was deliciously buttery, and even better when dunked in the gumbo, which, despite being reheated and I think previously frozen, was delicious.
After a 7 hour drive and arriving at 2:30 am, Baton Rouge is looking great this morning after finding my calling. Thank you, Coffee Call!
Wait-staff superb!
Great customer service and the most recommended place for beignets.
Hometown feel and very nice staff. Food was good too
I decided to give this place a try as I am always on the lookout for a new study space, Coffee Call is an awesome spot, great coffee, lots of tables, GREAT Beignets, cannot recommend enough
I had potato and greenbean soup. It was delicious. Yu.my! Also had a hot roast beef PoBoy. Had to take half home. Service was excellent. Atmosphere very calm.
We had a local tell us about this place and we did not know what we were getting ourselves into! There was so much passion and knowledge from all the people that worked here. They define the rich culture of Louisiana hands down!!!!Before I tell you how awesome this place is this is a great place to get information for great spots in the rest of the city. They definitely know whats going on in the city, know about events, know how to get around easy and just all out all the Good Eats there is in Louisiana! They let us try the Beignets before we actually had them since we never had them before. We were simply looking for a coffee place and just did a random selection on Google search. Im so glad we picked this one over all others. The actual location is all off in the corner by itself and I have no clue why because this is one of the best kept secrets in Louisiana! They give you just enough powder the Beignets were A-M-A-Z-I-N-G! I kid you not! We were in the French Louisiana times I tell you. The venue is great and plenty of spaces to sit with plenty of sunlight ambient sounds and people checking in on you at all times. It is very easy to make a mess with all the powder in the way they stack it up but thats okay because it is so good and well worth it.They have good old school coffee cups and mugs to make you feel modern but still nostalgic. You can tell that its been a family-run business for very long time. I dont know what more to say except GO THERE NOW! Have fun
Happy to have beignets. Lots of seating. Friendly staff. Good cafe au lait!
Delicious, much better than Cafe de Munde
Hasn’t changed through the years. Which is grand. The Beignets are fresh, hot, delicious and taste exactly like they do at Cafe Du Monde in New Orleans
The service here was terrible. They did not explain that the iced coffee was pre mixed and that it was basically a glass of milk. They did not offer to fix anything. So we spent $9 on 2 over priced drinks that we did not want and could not drink. Very impatient and rude staff.
Love to stop in everytime we visit home. Cant beat it anywhere ❤️
Delicious beignets and coffee, without having to drive to New Orleans! We grabbed our order to go to the LSU lakes, and take advantage of the gorgeous weather!
Our first time in Baton Rouge, decided to check out this place since it was rated highly by so many people. At first glance the place is large but offers no quaint coffee shop atmosphere. The beignets we ordered were raw, upon cutting them in half, we could still see the sticky raw dough. Very disappointed. Their coffee menu is extremely limited, never heard of a coffee shop that does not have an espresso machine to make lattes or cappuccinos. Staff however was friendly and service was fast.
Pretty solid beignets! The iced coffee is pretty good!!! I dont have any complaints.
The best casual coffee and beignet place. Super affordable and great for a late night treat or studying. Highly recommend
Wonderful biegnets cooked to order
We didn’t make it to Cafe du Monde in New Orleans, but we were not mad about it after stopping here! Delicious, fast service, a really excellent aesthetic with cute tables and chairs. We are traveling with our toddler and the staff was so friendly and it was a much better experience then trying to fight a crowd! Going back again before we leave!
Extremely nice people, very clean, amazing Beignets and hot chocolate!!! 😊💖
Service was great... order was perfect... definitely the best on a late night
Wonderful taste of New Orleans outside of NO
This place doesnt have too large of a menu but everything on it is delicious... we had their coffee and smoked sausage biscuit couple of times and they are so good.. but the best one we love are their beignet fingers... we saw them all the time made fresh to order and they are the best I had. I cant say they are the most original tasting beignets out there but they are the best for me... just cant stop eating at 1.. they also have a drive through option which we utilize a lot during this pandemic situation.
I love this place!
WOW!! Came in from Houston and saw all of the good reviews. They serve GOOD beignets - delicious, hot, and just overall amazing. However, what made them stand out even more was that the customer service. The people are so sweet and even gave our dog a free bag of beignets (no powdered sugar) so they could enjoy it with us. Amazing cafe au lait as well.
Great beignets!
Amazing, hot and fresh coffee and beignets!
Great beignets....first time trying them & Im hooked. So
Always hot delicious beniets and great Cafe au lait!
Fantastic! Great food, great service and nice staff and friendly atmosphere!
