I am updating this review as I have since gotten my car back. After several weeks I was finally able to speak with Kelton about my vehicle. He was able to explain the delay in service and assured me they were working on a solution. I appreciate the honesty and communication Kelton relayed to me, and I do feel like he cares about his guests. I am hopeful that things will continue to improve with the changes they have implemented.I have been awaiting service for over 6 weeks with my car in their possession for 4 of those 6 weeks. I was told the repair would take 3 weeks once it was started, but after reaching out to them last week they have not even started on my vehicle and have no timeline for when they may begin. When I left my car with them I was told it would be there for approximately 3-4 weeks. I think its unacceptable to have had zero communication from the service department only for me to call and find out theres no end in sight. They were also unable to give me a loaner during this time, which just adds to the frustration.
Dallas Fort was a great salesman and made my purchase EFFORTLESS. Price negotiating was simple and there was no pressure to buy! A truly rare experience in the car market today as I have had multiple salesmen at other dealerships not want to negotiate at all while still saying how the car wasnt going to last at the price it was at when it was way over valued.
I went to pick up a part since no service available until mid September. Staff is not very cordial. If there was another dealer closer I would definitely give them my business. Definitely need to work on their etiquette.
Ive seen more communication from Helen Keller. No returned phone calls from the service rep nor the Manager. Only 2 random emails with an estimate and a vague description of whats is being replaced.. Exactly 3 weeks and $4,200 to repair a alternator, battery, cv boot and a brake master cylinder. When we were called to pick up the vehicle, it still wasnt ready. The tech was still checking the breaks and the vehicle had not been washed. Ill go to New Orleans, Lafayette or any other city that has a Volvo service center before I ever have it repaired 10 minutes down the road. I shouldnt have to call the Volvo corporate office to speak to someone. Never again All Star Volvo.

Well I must be honest my vehicle I purchased from them brand new, was in service for about 4 months only to get it back with the same issue. Management is avoiding my calls and I even tried reaching the owner, no response. This is so sad and awful customer service. 😡
They used to be caring until I complained about a two hour wait for three small items that needed fixing. They made a lame excuse. They used to wash my car after each servicing. They now add things that NEED to be done and dont wash my car. Courtesy has left the building.
Absolutely amazing sales experience! I cannot recommend Tiffany in Sales and Jake the Sales Manager highly enough. From the moment I walked through the door they made the sales experience like sitting down with friends. Both of them were super honest, professional, and outstanding from start to finish. Very poor service department. MY volvo has been sitting at their lot now for coming up a month with NOTHING done to it, it was part of the flood, so, been going back and forth with Statefarm and Volvo and here i am now at my last day of use with my Rental and guess what, NO work has been done on my car as of today! .... we are having to pick it up and drive it as is UNTIL they can get to it, however, this entire time, sitting in their lot when i could had just used it until i needed a rental! very disappointed.

Very poor service department. Scheduled appointment for 10am for oil change. Dropped off at 4pm the day before. Took 2 phone calls and 20 minutes to get thru to the correct person in service. Still not ready at 3 pm, might be ready by 4 or 4:30. Rudely told by service advisor they have been busy. Expected more from a Volvo dealership.
Went in for this vehicle and they had no record of it. Salesman confirmed it was a teaser ad to get people to come in.
ID GIVE IT A 0 STAR IF POSSIBLEI was absolutely DISGUSTED with David (owner) I brought my car in to get my battery cover fixed.Turns out I had a recall fixed (note there was no recalls when I bought the vehicle) the recall had to do with car doors opening during driving. Got my car back and ONLY 1 of my doors works with the touch locks. (ALL MY DOORS WORKED BEFORE GOING TO THIS LOCATION)They refuse to fix it and blamed the car part dying. Which was a horrible excuse.and are now asking for a 1.3K$ fix I WILL NEVER GO TO THIS LOCATION EVER AGAIN. What a sad excuse of a dealership. SHAME ON YOU VOLVO of baton rouge.Other then that everything was okThe women at the desk were extremely kind and polite.DO NOT TAKE YOUR CAR HERE FOR MAINTENANCE

We originally didnt have a loaner car for our scheduled maintenance appointment. Dewayne, a salesman, went above and beyond to meet our needs. I have cycled through cars more than I wish to admit. Working with Jerry and Ron, Jerry in sales, and Ron as the manager there, was fantastic. These two guys were patient...patient! They never rushed me into a decision, showed me every car that I requested, worked deals on almost half of their inventory, and at the end, got me into exactly what I wanted. I brought my vehicle in for a recall and after that was taken care of as I drove down the road a piece the maintenance light came on. I drove back to let the service rep know why I came back. The time was near noon or somewhat after noon. I asked if I could have that taken care of while I was in the area. I live in Zachary, La. which is not around the corner in distance. I was told they were booked for the day. I felt disturbed over the reason I couldnt be accommodated for something that wasnt going to take about 20 minutes to perform. Out of all the car dealerships I have dealt with, Ive never been turned away for a required oil change. Since Ive purchased my Volvo, Ive been disappointed with the service. Being a number one luxury vehicle, I expected better customer service. Lexus customer service out shines Volvo. This is not a cheap vehicle, it deserves better quality service.

Called and scheduled service quickly and easily. Diagnostic fee for each of 3 issues seemed high instead of one diagnostic fee for all concerns, but was eventually waived. Overall cost of service was high, but it was work being done at the dealership. Initially told based on diagnosis that A/C and ignition would need to be repaired, rep made sure parts were in stock, and we made plans to have car back same day. Later in the afternoon, when I checked to see if my car was ready (no one called), I was told one part wasnt in stock and it would take another day. Next day, I called to find out if car was ready and was told it was (I again was not updated). Went and picked it up. Had to walk around service dept for about 10 min to find someone (place was empty) and found a kind salesman who had to walk around himself about another 5 min to find someone. Service rep was very nice but visibly very ill (sneezing, coughing, mucus dripping from nose while talking) and I felt very bad for him (but he shouldnt have been at work). Though my car was ready for a 1/2 day after I called and was told I could pick it up, my paperwork was not ready. I paid, he got my car and drove it up. I got my car, looked it over very quickly to get out of there. I noticed later that afternoon when I got home it appears my trunk lid was scratched, but I didnt catch it while it was there (like a clip board or something was drug across it). A/C and ignition work that was done was done well. Front Desk Service aspect needs improvement (timely updates, care/scratch of the vehicle, having paperwork done on time, etc.).
Ron was so helpful and answered all of our questions. Was very happy to drive away in our new Volvo.

I waited a month or so to write this review because I never do these. They tried to charge 4.5 hours of labor for an oil trap. I ended up buying the part from Volvo online to go oem and had a mechanic replace and it took literally less than 20 minutes. I expected a price markup because it’s the dealer but man that’s the most ridiculous estimate I’ve ever received. Super dishonest! Sad they perpetuate the stereotype about shady dealerships. I advise you to stay away

Ive been a customer at this Volvo dealer since the purchase of my first Volvo in 2006. The service department kept it going strong for 250,000 miles. Now, Im on my second Volvo and things are still rolling along happily. My Service Manager helps me in every way she can. You can even get your car serviced on Saturday if needed.
I am extremely pleased with the service at All Star. I was able to schedule repairs at a time convenient for me. After evaluating the car, they called to discuss the recommended services, giving me honest evaluation about which repairs were necessary and which ones could wait. The car was repaired within a few hours for a reasonable cost.
I love, love, love Corey at All Star Volvo. I recently took my car in for a regularly scheduled maintenance check-up. She got me a loaner vehicle and was very efficient in handling the intake and pick-up procedures. Corey is always kind and friendly-she is a delight to deal with! Ever since I bought my Volvo I take it here for service. Reliable, courteous and prompt. Nice waiting area to catch up on work. At one time they had to keep the car for few days to trace an electrical problem that resulted in battery drainage, under warranty. They provided a replacement vehicle.
I used Allstar Volvo in Baton Rouge for service in the past 2 years.In the past 2 years, there are at least 2-3 service advisors left. It seems that Allstar Volvo always only has one service advisor on duty. When I called for maintenance or questions, most of the phone calls go to voice mails or need to leave message. This is NOT the staff size for a luxury car dealership maintenance. Therefore, I have a serious concern about this AllStar Volvo maintenance as they are always understaffed, high turn over rate in service advisors...etc. Please think twice if you would like to purchase Volvo as maintenance is a also a key component.

My most recent experience with the Service Department here has been pretty awful. I took my car in on October 30th, and I still dont have it back over 2 months later. My service manager is difficult to reach - often no one is available when I call, and when I have left a message at the answering service, it is not always returned. Every time I DO talk to the service person, he tells me the same thing - that he was just about to call me, and it will just be another day or two...and then nothing for weeks. The only reason Im giving 2 stars here is that they did offer me a temporary rental, but because I cant take it out of state or have my pets in it, I had to cancel a holiday vacation.
All Star Volvo was great. Jerry Hooper understood my dilemma and helped me obtain the car I requested. He and the sales manager were very responsive when I expressed concern about the battery the next day. Jerry is mailing me my garage door opener and My EZ Pass receiver that I foolishly left behind in the car. The Lady helping me with the finances couldn’t have been nicer. I give one star for the mechanic, who is overworked, and is forced into lamentable working conditions, eating his lunch over the car he is repairing, instead of having a proper lunch break during which he can refresh his mind and body. This dealership purposefully understaffs, leaving one mechanic on the floor at all times so that the customer must pay at least twice as much for any given job, because there are only 2 hands in the game. This dealership in no way reflects Volvo values and principles of service and employee labor standards. I am astounded at clients who drop off their car for days or hours, without questioning how much labor is being charged. Little do they know, as I was able to capture today because I dedicated myself to monitoring the situation during the entire day, the customer pays the price while the mechanic sneaks out the back door to go to lunch, on the customers dime. When Mr. Davis, who cannot look at you in the eye was confronted with this corrupt behavior, brushed it off as no shop puts a timer on their work. What they quote is irrelevant to the amount of time it actually takes to do the job, including the fact that I indeed paid for the mechanic going to lunch, working alone, and having to step away from the car multiple times in order to get something. Meanwhile, on in the inside, you have a row full of men who sat for eight hours and did nothing. The staffing situation is clearly purposeful and meant to rip off the customer, at $135/hour. I am glad that at that price, they dont put the timer. I know in any other profession, that is not acceptable. All calls to management at All Star were either misdirected or went to an interminable voicemail. The customer is gouged, and the mechanic will burn out and make mistakes. Indeed, mistakes were made. The mechanic was worn out after having had to spend the entire eight hours alone in a workshop situation, with no assistance whatsoever, and forgot to attach an important plug, while giving me the okay to get on the road. This is not his fault, this is the fault of the owner, manager, and lack of employees, who are nowhere to be found. I was given nothing but dismissive and scandalous service on the part of Mr. Davis, who clearly cannot answer a question in direct English, or with the most minute reflextion of respect towards the customer. Throughout the eight hours, my car was shut in a space into which I could not see, therefore, there is no transparency about what or how long the work is being done. It is very clever for Mr. Davis to attempt to give a word salad about why this mechanic shop blacks out the windows so that the customers cannot see in. I am distressed and disgusted by the entire experience, I will try to contact someone from Volvo itself to let them know that Allstar Group does not even come close to matching the Volvo standard of service, and the customer pays twice as much because one person, instead of a properly staffed shop, is doing the job. Take your car somewhere else, or be prepared to be gouged. unashamedly.
Just purchased an XC60 and worked with Jerry. What a pleasant experience! Jerry contacted me right after my first visit to the dealership and was very responsive to my calls and emails, but I never felt pressured to make a quick decision. This was a new style of vehicle for me and I was impressed with Jerrys answers about different features that Volvo offers on the car. The detailed information and thoughtful feedback about what would be most important for the way I will use the car helped me make informed decisions about the model and add-ons.The dealership team had everything prepared on the day I picked up the car. Financial paperwork was ready to sign, and Jerry walked me through the set-up process for the support systems app. They gave me all the time I needed and never kept me waiting. Since then Jerry has called and emailed to see if I had any questions or concerns after driving the car for several days. In all respects this has been the best car buying experience Ive ever had.

I’ve been calling Volvo all day and they finally called me back after 5 hours and my appointment was at ten . The man that called me backed was the only person working there today and he said he just moved there a month ago from licolin and doesn’t no nothing about the Volvo car .he said my car needed a part well he could’ve called and said that that was the worst service I ever got from Volvo

Will never do business with this place again! It took 7 weeks to get our car back. The staff did not return phone calls in a timely manner or keep me adequately informed on the issues. It is too bad because we have had Volvos for over 30 years.

We live 2 hours away from this dealership so I was very hesitant about buying my car from them. However, from the time we stepped into the showroom until the time they delivered my car (and now, even 2 months later!), they have been nothing but helpful, efficient, and prompt. The XC90 is not a hard vehicle to sell because the car sells itself (I am a VOLVO convert now!), but Ron and Dewayne have made this transaction even more pleasant.

My family has had volvos for as long as I can remember and the cars are great just like the people who work there! The employees were very knowledgable about the cars, especially Mr. Hooper who took the time to show/explain to me the various features of the car. I couldnt have asked for a better experience.
Bought my wifes car here about a year ago, enjoyed the purchase process and have had it in a few times for service and Corey is great. I come from the service industry and she is top notch.
The AC in my car went out in Sept. It was not until mid-Oct that they could set me up with a loaner. They called me in to say the car was reading in mid-Nov. I took the keys to the lot and the car would not open or start (not issues before). I finally got the car in late Nov. Meanwhile, my husbands 2019 XC40 has poor alignment (purchased brand new in July) and they have used the excuse of not having proper software to fix it. Every person Ive dealt with on the customer service side has been unhelpful and just given excuses.
I am thoroughly pleased with my experience at the establishment. Dewayne was an absolute delight. He was patient, he listened effectively, and most importantly found the most suitable car for both my family and myself. I went in thinking that all car salesman were alike, however he prove that assumption to be wrong. This was hands down the best customer service experience I ever had. Highly recommended!------------------Update: service departmentIve recently had some repairs made on my 2015 s60 at Allstar and it has left me rather concerned.I had the service department perform routine maintenance, battery replacement, and investigate the check engine light that came on just a couple of days prior to the scheduled maintenance (12/21/18). The check engine light was caused by a failed fuel line pressure sensor. The total bill for an oil change, tire rotation, sensor, and battery replacement was $976.The day after I collected my car (12/22/18), I was at a red light when my auto start engaged. When I released the brakes to continue on my way, my car would not start. Weird messages appeared on my instrument panel: memory settings (for the seat and mirror positions) and one that said to hold the start button to start the engine- that didnt work. So I had it towed to the dealership.They said it was the fusible link to the starter and insisted it was merely a coincidence, even though it connects directly to the battery they just replaced. Another $400. I just got my car back yesterday (12/26/18).After speaking with experienced mechanics, a friend who is a certified Volvo tech, who is many states away unfortunately, they all agree that battery replacement was the likely culprit and that there could have been initial improper connections made to create a spike in the current which led to the fusible link becoming fried.Sorry Allstar, Ive been a long time customer who has happily paid for your service in the past, but Ill be going elsewhere now.

Went in for a software update that added new features to my XC90. Service is excellent, waiting area is spotless, service reps are extremely knowledgeable. Vehicle complimentary washed and ready to go when promised.
