Bagels were good but a bit under baked. They are boiled so that gives them an edge. Got a dozen but they no longer give a bankers dozen even though the menu board says so. Also all the pricing is off fro websites and earlier photos, Ive tried to include new video and photos. Worth the trip of you long for New York style bagels in Baton Rouge. Bagel with lox was excellent. Not skimpy on the salmon. Enjoy.

Went here on a Monday morning based on the reviews. We tried a croissant with egg, cheese, and sausage; bacon, egg, and cheese biscuit; plain bagel with plain cream cheese; Asiago bagel with egg, ham, and cheese; and a cinnamon roll. Pros: generous portion of meat, flavorful sausage. Cons: puffy slightly bland bagels, flavorless egg, cheese that was American singles (like McD uses). Would not recommend.

The bagels are good. The breakfast sandwiches okay as well. They aren’t great but they aren’t bad. They are literally just okay. Neither of the cashiers working inside were wearing masks.

Might be a good deal for the dozen bagels but the sandwiches are super expensive. Cool vibe on the inside but that really only goes so far. Buy a dozen and make your sandwich at home!

Place is never opened, when they are they can get away with maybe Pennsylvania definitely not New York and not even the same state as New York

Since the new owners have taken over its just not the same any longer. The staff are not professional at all. They are just kids that need more customer service training including the kitchen manager who was there with the previous owner. My order was not correct and when I called the young girl Diana wants to go around in circles with me as if I was the one who ordered it wrong. When I asked to speak to a manager to help me I get laughed at in the back ground and hear someone say tell them we are not here. TOTALLY unprofessional and I see why its not the same with new ownership.

Awesome place to eat lunch. Have been going here for several years. I got the cabbie on the asiago bagle. Very good. We also got the pizza bagle. There was nothing left, so it must have been good too. The owners are very friendly and bend over backwards to make sure you are satisfied.

I really like the taste of a real scrambled egg on my croissant. With that being said this one was not too bad. The sausage was a tad spicy. The croissant was actually very good.

I’ve been eating at the New York Bagel on Jefferson for decades. Today I called in an order, and not only did Ann remember me, she remembered what I like best and even knew I get extra capers on it! It’s mind boggling that she can remember personal orders like that!On top of everything, today’s sandwich was the best I’d ever had ANYWHERE! The Cajun bagel was fresh and tasty, the ingredients were fresh and crispy (along with the pickle), and the bagel chips and veggie dip we’re especially flavorful. Hard to believe - when I’ve had so many around town and away, but this New Yorker was the best I’ve ever had. Just loved it! - ANY

Doesn’t live up to its name. The bagels are small and dry and there was barely any cream cheese on my bagel.

This little restaurant has the time-honored tradition of being high in quality, amazing in taste, and perfect in customer service. The Brooklyn Bomber on an Asiago cheese bagel is a personal favorite of mine, but everything is good. Jefferson Highway is just better for having this gem on it.

I normally love it but, they didnt add cheese to my turkey bagel as I requested.

I normally love this place. But today we ordered lunch for my birthday and they forgot my order. When we called to inform them they just offered a refund instead of sending my food. I dont have the luxury of leaving for lunch so I was highly upset. They said they were going to send another sandwich but ended up taking them almost 2 hours. I dont understand the reason behind this. For 1 sandwich. They werent very apologetic either. Im in a busy office all day and we dont get much time to sit down and eat. I spent my entire birthday at work hungry and upset. Needless to say this is the last time our office will be ordering from them.

Great quick breakfast and/or lunch spot. They are consistent, fast, quality, and always good. I like their atmosphere. Ms. Ann has great staff, and I have been going there for many, many years.

Good food and fast service.After the first few times going to their location, they began joking with me like Im part of the family.On the few occasions Im able to make it, their breakfast selection has been on par.Im fortunate enough to have had a bag of bagels shared with my coworkers to start the morning many times.Id highly recommend a stop to enjoy a smile with Ann, Mike, and Will.Leave with a smile and satisfied.

Very rude staff. My girlfriend and I went in to eat there. It was my first time. While my girlfriend uses the restroom I take the time to check out the menu. I didn’t find anything to my liking on the menu so we decided to go somewhere else. When we tried to leave we were harassed by one of their employees due to the fact we didn’t buy anything and my girlfriend used their restroom. I tried to explain we were going to eat there but decided not too because I couldn’t find anything I liked. She still would not let us leave without buying something. The person I am talking about is the Asian women behind the counter. They need to train their staff to be polite to customers.

Called to place an order and was told that they didnt have it, so while frantically finding my coworker to find the order changed, I was also being rushed and told that she had other customers to talk to. Not my fault you dont have something that is on your menu, and not my fault that i have to rush and change orders on the fly because you have other people to serve. Hopefully you get shut down, so then you can learn how to treat paying customers. Go elsewhere with you business.
