Ive come here multiple times before, and theyre always extremely helpful. Its a little higher than maybe smaller individual mechanics might be? But I trust that the job will be done right here. Ive never had an issue with their work or the quality of their products. They do a full inspection when you go in and will come out and tell you if they find any other problems. Theyll give you a quote if you want them to handle those issues for you as well, but youre not obligated to approve it. And they dont make you feel like you are either.I went recently after getting a flat tire that could not be repaired. I needed to buy a new one. While I was there, they did come tell me about some other vehicle issues I was having, and I knew they werent lying to me. These were problems Id already been aware of and had been putting off fixing for financial reasons. We were just reaching the point where I couldnt really put all of it off anymore. But I knew that before I went, so I wasnt surprised to hear it.I took care of the most pressing issues and was even given a discount that made it more affordable for me.Theyre very thorough and helpful. I really love going there tbh. It wasnt even a question for me where I was going to go after I got the donut on my car in place of my flat. I literally went straight there and had them take care of it for me.I was a walk-in, and I was there for probably about two hours. The fact that they accept walk-ins at all is so helpful though.Anyway, love them! Thanks, guys!
I set an appointment to have my oil changed at pep boys. When I first met Mr Benny he was very abrupt and direct. Some would probably even have considered him to be a little rude but as I work with Mr Benny I realize he was very busy and to the point. He was very interested and making sure that I was a satisfied customer. He pointed out a couple of things I needed to have done to my car and I was very satisfied with the work that was performed. Thanks Mr Benny. I see some other low rated reviews which I dont understand. I take my car there the work is performed at a high standard, they always let me know if something else is needed, and I walk out as a very satisfied customer.

My first experience with Pep Boys was GREAT!!! I ordered my tires in Shreveport and they arrived ahead of time. Was contacted to bring my vehicle in early to get them put on. Mr Benny handled everything for me accordingly and he accommodated me with a Lyft to my appointment. There were some things that weren’t done on my car from previous companies and he advised me on what I needed to do to make sure that my car stayed up to par. After dropping it off at 7am it was done at 10am and that was AMAZING for me. When I picked my car up I searched for Mr Benny to tell him THANK YOU for his help but he had stepped out at that moment. Pep Boys gave me an awesome experience and I will do business with them again.
I made an appointment a while back because I kept having to put air in my tire. My vehicle was taken to the back, the manager told me I needed 4 new tires, they bad and coming off. Never in my life have I ever been told I needed 4 new tires. Be he said I needed 4 new tires.I purchased 4 new tires. Within that week, my 2 front tires were low, one darn near flat. I went back to Pep Boys, that same manager told me my rims bad, i need new rims. We can spray a seal in them for you. I just sunk inside, really! I was furious inside. I maintained my composure and told him to seal them with the spray. At this point, I just wanted to get out of that mans presence. Not only did his rude self made me waste money on good tires that was already on my car, but also waste my hard earned money on 4 new tires. Problem wasnt solved, I then needed to come up with money for rims. You dont play with people like that. I tell people do not go to this place.
It was awesome that they except walk-ins to get and tire alignment... the price is average... Cant say to much about the work, didnt get anything done... Not yet that is...Well today we got the alignment and I must say the car drives and handles much much better... Terrific job guys, thank youll for the amazing work the [turtle] car needed it!!!

ADVIS/BUDGET We rented a car from Avis/Budget through Pep Boys and the car was horrible 😫 first we requested a full size car and they gave us a match box instead, then the back passenger door would not open from the inside, then the air pressure light was on because the back tire was very low. On top of that the car was dirty on the inside of it. Smeared white stuff was dried up on the windows. Like the previous review, I had an exceptional experience with Benny Warner. I was visiting my daughter in Baton Rouge last weekend and had an issue with my vehicle late at night on a Friday. I had a long drive ahead of me on Saturday, so needed immediate attention and we got it! From the phone call my daughter placed for me until we left the parking lot of Pep Boys, the service we received was friendly, knowledgeable, honest and a real pleasure. Benny put my mind at rest, explained things to me and fixed my problem. My daughter was also impressed with Benny and will see him next time she has an issue with her vehicle. I was on my way home from work on a Friday, after a longgggg week. I got a flat tire, it was leaking air quickly. I just so happened to be in front of pep boys, it was all God to me. I went in, and there were two men that worked there who greeted me, they both had had glasses, and they both were super nice and they got me right in and right out! As I was leaving I got to meet the third guy that worked there, whom actually fixed my tire, and he was super friendly as well. I was so disappointed when it happened, as I was just ready to pick up my child from daycare and get home! They made my experience not bad after all. I WILL be giving them my business again for sure!!! It’s places like this, that make my husband content at the fact that he was too far away to help me at the time, and these nice men took care of it as if I were their own sister, friend etc. I wish there were more friendly businesses around!!!!
Mr. Benny Warner located the correct light bulb and helped my mother change out her passenger side brake light so that she could quickly get her inspection today. He went above and beyond and I (and my mother) will definitely do business with Mr. Warner again. Have a wonderful day.

My fiat got a flat tire so I had it towed to Pep Boys. The same tire had its rim dented as well. I thought for sure I would be paying a few hundred bucks to get it fixed. This place is so kind they were able to get the dent out and patch up the tire then didn’t charge me! They gave me an amazing first experience, and I will return. Thank you Benny!!
Fast and effficient
DO NOT bring your car to this place. You will literally just be throwing money in the trash. They repair a thousand other things besides what you bring it for and your car will still not work properly. HUGE MISTAKE . They are also rude and don’t care. I wish I could give ZERO stars
I had my daughters Jeep towed there for repair. Bennie walked out to the vehicle, looked at it, assessed the problem, verified with a tech checking the starter and I had a price for repair in about 15 minutes! Spot on and super timely! Outstanding service!
I made an appointment online for Sunday at 2:00 pm to plug a flat tire... i got confirmation on my appointment. I show up on time AND THE STORE WAS CLOSED. Are you kidding me?! Everything online says you are open. Why in the hell was I able to make an appointment in the first place? This place is garbage.
.Try to order tires this morning store supervisor said he didnt have tire chart or specs. I complained ask for manager who came to the phone and hung up on me. He said if I wanted tire to come to store and pick it out. I hope call is recorded and someone takes action on rudness and lack of knowledge. Will never buy nothing again from that store.
Not a parts retailer like other Pep Boys (i.e. AutoZone, OReilly, etc...) As of this summer(2020), this location is only a tire and service center. The auto parts and accessories side, including Speed Shop, is walled off and doesnt seem to be reopening. The car rental desk is still open though(its Hertz, I think.)

Came in with a flat tire today (Friday) an hour before close while we were on our way out of town for a weekend camping trip. Mr. Benny Warner the service manager fit me in the schedule and we were back in the road with a patch within the hour. The mechanic and Mr. Warner were both very kind and professional. We’ll definitely be back for any other vehicle service.
Spent $900 getting my air to blow cold. Get it back and it still doesn’t blow cold. Called and got the run around from them. So now I got to find someone else to fix it and hopefully it actually gets fixed 🤞🏻🤞🏻🤞🏻
We had awesome service from Mr. Bennie today. After explaining to us that the fuel injection cleaning service would not solve the issue we were having (we still had it done just for maintenance), he took the time to explain the possible problem (possibly a cracked porcelain on a spark plug which we had just changed out a few weeks ago). We came home and my husband pulled the spark plugs out and found one did have a tiny crack. After installing a new set of spark plugs, the car now drives smoothly. We also had new tires installed on another vehicle last month and had excellent customer service from Steven.
They tried putting full synthetic oil in a 2010 Honda pilot with 230,000 miles. I already have to use 10w30 vs 5w20 due to a minor leak.They didnt have syn-blend, so instead of asking me, they put me up for a full synthetic. Offered to give conventional after the fact.Do not go here if youre a female.Do not use your car advise account with them.
Bennie very rude Customer service was terrible. He also wasnt very informative acted as if he didnt wanna be there. Its was 1200 to get everything on my car fixed and he didnt even put it on the machine are checked anything he just assumed. The prices wasnt the problem but how he assumed i couldnt pay was rude and unprofessional never going back. I talked to Steven on the phone before going he seemed great. Got my car fixed for less else where
I got 4 new tires put on today. When I got my car back there was a new gouge in the rim from when they removed the tire I suppose. They never mentioned it and I know I might as well not bring it it up because they wont take responsibility for it. Bottom line, I would not go back to Pep Boys for any service ever. I highly recommend going elsewhere.
I rented a car from Budget here and it went super smoothly . She was very friendly and knowledgeable. Pep Boys is also going out of business at that location so we got a lot of car cleaning stuff and paint, air fresheners and more!
I booked an appointment. No one was at the service desk when I arrived. When someone finally decides to show up, I was informed that the techs who are needed to service my car was not there. Very unprofessional. Why not call and cancel the appt?!?

I am very disappointed in my time at avis. the clerk was extremely rude and has no concern for drivers saftey during Covid-19. I reserved a car for pick up on 6/16/20 when we were handed the keys once i arrived to the vehicle it was extremely dirty and had not been cleaned after the previous driver we asked wheather or not the car was cleaned and weather or not we could get a clean vehicle and she had a very rude attitude and said she could get someone to clean it and we asked if it could be done in about 10 minutes and she said she didnt know and that we had to walk to the back of the store to ask the cleaner how long it would be her respone was 15-20 minutes and we let the clerk know the time frame and she said we had to wait the full 10 minutes and if she passed 10 minutes then she would give us another car. She then started texting while with another customer and after 8 minutes had passed she said the car was ready and we askes how if she estimated 20 minutes she said we had to go view the car before she could give us another vehicle we inspected and the car was not cleaned there was paper towels and food wrappers still along the side of the seat and still needed to vacuum and when we let her know it was still dirty she said that she was not giving ua another car and that we could take our money back because we were just gonna complained again and i asked how would she know if she didnt try to give us a clean car and that why is it a problem that we want to drive clean and comfortable so we have had to leave with no car because she decided to refuse us this was extremely unprofessional this is a pandemic we are driving with a 2 year old this was a complete inconvenience when we let her know that we were crunched for time already
Cant speak to the service department since I have never had any work done here, but the store is very large and has a great selection. The employee that helped me was polite and helpful, and greeted me with a smile. (Sadly, this is rare these days) One thing to note - check online for deals before buying an item in-store, the battery that I purchased was 20% off online and regularly priced in store.
The front cashier acted like she could have cared less if she was there or not didnt really want to be there. I went back to the parts department 2 get some antifreeze. The little girl back there was so sweet so helpful and told me lets make sure that we get the right one. She says is there anything else at the G I need seat covers she should let me show you where they are and lets make sure you get the right ones she was awesome the front register she should have stayed home

Hit or miss. Sometimes theres no employees to help not even anyone on cash register. Sometimes you can find someone and theyre very helpful. Usually the former.

The Assistant Service Manager Steven was beyond helpful! I told him my brake lights weren’t working and asked how much it would cost to replace them. He told me he could just take a look at them for me to make sure it wasn’t the fuse that wasn’t working. He ended up having his team take apart the whole back of my car to find the fuse. They replaced all of my bulbs and fixed the fuse for me completely FREE of charge. Steven said he didn’t feel right charging me when there had been no agreed upon price.By far the best experience I have ever had in the auto department, especially as a woman since we frequently get taken advantage of.
Excellent service! Steven the manager and his guys in the service shop were professional and helpful. I came in early on a Friday morning after a hard freeze to get a new pair of tires. Their computer system had updated and was slow to get started, but they all made sure I was comfortable and informed about my cars progress during the unexpectedly long wait. The mechanic Liljerone was a very skilled and knowledgeable person, with excellent people skills.Highly recommended for routine car maintenance!
Made an appointment for 8am a day in advance. Show up, 8am front doors locked. Call at 8:10 to see what was going on. Whoever answered the phone was rude, said I was at the wrong door. (I was at the front doors, there was no signage saying go to any other door) First he couldnt even find my reservation. Told him I had email confirmation. Guy on the phone hung up. I called back, let him know they lost my business and where he could shove his attitude. Not only was I going to get an alignment, I needed my tires rotated and balanced, as well as an oil change. So they lost a decent little chunk. Not to mention, I WILL NEVER RETURN NOR WILL I RECCOMEND THE LOCATION. And to top it off they have this review on Google.And to the owner or whoever responds to these, save your time. Whats done is done.

I called and visited several places to get a quote on tires and Steven at Pep Boys really went above beyond, customer service-wise. I was so impressed with his willingness to help me get in the same day on a Sunday. I was extremely satisfied with the service and the price. I definitely recommend and will be back!
I purchased 4 new tires from the Airline Hwy location. I began to notice the rear set wearing down extremely fast. I brought my vehicle back to Pepboys, and the manager Bennie had his team thoroughly inspect the rear suspension...and found the issue causing the tread to wear. After realigning the front and back, two new replacement tires were put on my vehicle.
These folks were awesome. Chris and the mechanic stayed late just to get me back on the road. If you are around Baton Rouge and need work done dont hesitate to come here.

Had a clutch go out on my truck. Walked into Pep Boys and inquired as to whether they do clutch repairs and the response from Bennie was, I cant get to it today. Totally not what I asked. Didnt expect it done today. Asked about the online advertised $50 to get my vehicle towed and was told Id need to call the towing company myself. OK. Bennie gives me a quote on the service work like he was doing me some sort of favor. Bennie looks up the part (clutch kit) and says theres two, which one do I need? Well, Bennie, thats why Im here... youre the expert. In the end I just walked out, made one phone call to someone who actually wants my business and the work is being done. Great place for parts if youre doing the work yourself but just cant in good faith give the service department any better than a 1 star rating which aint bad considering I walked away with a big fat zero.

Got my vehicle towed to pepboys to have my flat tire fixed i was greeted by Benny who asked me why i didn’t stop and get him some lunch if that’s his was of flirting he poorly failed my tires are covered by a tire warranty I’m guessing because i didn’t provide Benny with lunch he did everything in his power to make sure my vehicle would not get fixed he even lied to the warranty company and told them there was no nail in my tire as well as my tires being wore out on the car glad i took pictures before my vehicle was towed there long story short if you want proper service take your vehicle else where Benny would do whatever if you don’t bring him lunch or agree to go out on the date he offered me to go on FYI took my vehicle somewhere else that’s cover by my tire warranty and got my tire replaced no thanks to Benny

My car needed a clotch kit replacement it is manual, take it Sunday to Pep Boys and Wednesday they had not done anything yet, then they tell me that the pieces have to be ordered in the Mitsubishi and that the pieces do not reach inside a week. I give him options to buy the parts in Advance Auto Parts that they had and they told me in a bad way that they did not make deals with Advance Auto Parts, and very angry he told me to go and get my car that they were not going to fix it. . Good work, right. I find an Arab guy and in one day he fix my car, got the clotch kit put it in 6 hours. This is a real mechanic
The wait is a lil long but its most definitely worth it then then rushing and tearing your car up. Finally found out what Take 5 messed up on my car. I will be forever going to them. They took good care of my car and didnt try to over charge me.
Awesome place, I dropped my car off for an oil change at 6, and got a message at 7:45. I drove there but didnt get back until 8:06, and they were closed. The worker opened the door and let me back in to pay and get my car. He was really nice and helpful. I forget his name, but it starts with a T and he has shoulder length black hair with dreads. Everyone here is really nice and helpful, and I highly recommend it!
Their customer service is second to none. And they have a large selection than any AutoParts Stores in the area. Also they have a really awesome speed shop where they help you decide what go fast mods you should add to your car.
Had a vehicle towed in because it wouldnt turn over. Was told engine was seized. It has 200000+ so I was okay with that. Got the bill for almost $500. First line item was $80.99 for engine diagnostic. Thats a fair number. Then I was charged for battery, starter, oil change and battery maintenance. The manager was not helpful. I paid my bill an moved on with my life after writing this review.
So, I drove a good distance to have a tire changed and ran into another great team working for Pep Boys. Benny, Stephen et-al jumped on the car...tire replaced and life was good. Headed to an adjacent place to eat....came out and there was Benny helping a motorist in the restaurant parking lot. I am glad I drove here. To Benny and his crew.....thank you! V/r Adam
This store helped me completely, I was visiting family for a funeral while here when my car encountered a problem. This store was clean and in very good order and its staff were OUTSTANDING THE GUYS IN SHOP WERE VERY KNOWLEDGEABLE AND WENT ABOVE AND BEYOND THEIR JOB DESCRIPTIONS. I purchased a rooftop carrier online and picked it up at this store. The online pricing was great and the process was easy. When we arrived to pick up the order, the woman at the checkout desk greeted us and was friendly. She quickly looked up my order, but got a phone call for a parts request and was delayed almost 10 minutes. She went in the back for a few minutes and came out empty handed. She said the one in the back was scratched so she proceeded to get the one off the display. I was fine with this. The only complaint I have is that the visit took longer than it shouldve. No one was moving expeditiously.
Made on online appointment so that I wouldnt have to wait to get a simple oil change. Arrived 10 minutes before my scheduled appointment and was told I would have to wait an hour before their next mechanic would be in that they dont accept online appointments. I am not sure why there is the option for online reservations for this location if they dont accept them. I went out of my way to get to pep boys so I could slid in an oil change before going back to work and will now have to go out of the way again to get it somewhere else. Will not be returning to pep boys.

I was really in a bind today. My truck battery died. I have a Jeep Grand Cherokee and the battery is under the passenger seat. I could not find a reputable shop to change my battery, and purchase the battery I needed. I went to one place and waited 2 hours only for them to tell me that they wouldn’t do it. So I called Pep boys, Mr Benny answered and told me that he could fit me in, but it wouldn’t be ready until after 5. On the phone he seemed raged, but when I arrived I saw that not only is he the manager he was also manning the register and answering the phones. So I understood that his tone on the phone was from being extremely busy.Needless to say my Jeep was ready at 5, when I arrived. He was even able to get me a cheaper battery than he thought I needed. My business will always go to him first, before I start trying to go somewhere else.Both times I went inside Mr Benny was talking to the patrons. The ladies working behind the desk were also friendly. He didn’t make me feel silly for not knowing details about my car, or my battery needs.
Asked to have my plugs and wires I purchased put on car. First they said they could but when I got there they said they only charged a standard tune up rate. I then asked the man to have the Mechanic put their plugs and wires on since I was going to be charged for both anyway, and I would just return mine. No big deal. He changed the plugs, not the wires. Engine light was flashing when I left and was not doing beforehand so I took it back and asked them to check over the job. Mechanic Eric Brown was rude and sassy and said I shouldve had a diagnostic run even though I told them I had one at auto zone. Got home and realized the wires hadnt been changed. Called to complain. Was going to have them change wires, said theyd do it for free. I asked for a new mechanic because I dont know one that doesnt change those things simultaneously. Went there this morning to have that done, same mechanic, manager told my husband he told me wires had to be special ordered (they both treated me like a stupid little girl that knows nothing about cars and were obviously trying to scam me out of money.) He never told me that and if they had to do that I wouldve had them just use my wires Id already purchased. My husband changed the wires himself and the car runs like a dream now. Its hard to find a trustworthy mechanic enough as it is. Dont go to pep boys on airline highway in baton rouge. Especially if youre a woman.

Freindly service staff that was able to take my walk-in alignment job and have it perfect and done in about an hour. They also went over the rest of my suspension components and advised me of certain things that needed to be changed (older truck and its things that are in the works of be changed in the future) but did not push any upcharges or parts on me unless I explicitly asked. I was also advised of and active promotion coupon without even asking that took about $50 off of my entire bill for a lifetime alignment, which will come in handy when I start changing it out other worn components.
Mr. Benny went above and beyond to make sure I was completely satisfied. He diagnosed the problem with my car over the phone and it was fixed the next day!!Thank You!!!
The two men that helped me were wonderful, I didnt catch there names but they took the time to help me find the best price and applied coupons and saved me $30. They fixed my car at the best price. They now have my loyalty. (two dark skin men were funny and should so get a raise though one said he is leaving in a few months :(...)
Worst customer service and support ever. It took an hour to order the tires in store. Called to see if tires had arrive and was transferred several times and never got a response. Called corporate office and it was even worse. The customer service representative was just as useless as the employees in the store. Dont be fooled by the cheap price and sales incentives. This is without a doubt the worst place to shop for anything. Im being kind to give them one star. If if I thought I could give negative stars I would.

I had purchased these last year despite my reservations about the service at the time and purchased the road hazard. So, I get there and there is 1 guy working his ass off trying to help people. The line has 3 people in it and the phone is going non stop. PepBoys must only have 1 employee. Great business model. Older lady in front of me was getting scammed with the buy 3 tires get 1 free deal. She saw the scam for what it was, gave them a piece of her mind and left. Finally my turn! Nope, more phone calls. 25 minutes of line waiting (half way in to my lunch break) and I am told that I would have to leave my vehicle and it would take 2+ hours. Needless to say that did not happen. Biggest mistake I made was buying tires from this company. Second was to buy the road hazard (I will never be going back) and third was going back for tire service. It may take me too long to learn a lesson but it definitely was learned... I will never go back and will NEVER refer another person to them.
I was the first customer through the door in the morning, after having made an appointment for 0900. Even so, the shop still took almost 3 1/2 hours to put new tires on. All this after I waited hours the afternoon before just to get the car inspected. I dont have any complaints about the quality of the service (yet), but I do wonder if they took advantage of my lack of knowledge to get me to replace tires that didnt need replacing. Nothing I can do about that now, but for anyone reading this, just avoid this place. There are surely shops in BR that respect your time and money more than these people do.

Best customer service experience at an auto parts store, hands down. Was fortunate enough to deal with Tremain, who helped out during peak hours and lots of other customers. Cant recommend highly enough.
Cedric the service manager was great to work with. He helped us figure out our tire and wheel policy that came with our new car. They were quick and did a great job.
Came here because my maintenance alert came on and the mechanic reset the alert without looking at the car and said it was nothing
Very timely work and professional
They replaced my car battery fast and efficiently, I have a Chrysler so you have to remove a tire to reach the battery, they did this in less than 45 minutes and everyone was really nice
Min before closing they were able to sell us a tire and place it on the rim. We were denied at NTB but Pep Boys was able to help us out as they were closing. The associates there were very nice. We were able to replace our tire blow out and saved us on out trip.
Boom was exceptionally helpful. Generally don’t do these reviews. But he was above and beyond. Is he in trouble?

Sat waiting for over 4.5 hours. Watched customers come in after I did and leave before I did. Guess you have to be special to get service here. Do not recommend unless you fit their criteria.
One of the worst service ever!!!I had an appointment at 10 am and after 4.5 hours they didnt even start working on my car. They said that the problem was that they had 3 appointments at 10 am because some people make reservation online and some are on the phone.... in 2017, I would expect online reservations and phone reservations to be synchronized!But the worse thing is how unkind the staff is. They did not even apologize, say I am sorry....nothing.Next time Ill definitely go somewhere else even if I have to pay more.
