This is the only shop that took a chance on my vehicle! Not only did they take a chance they gave me hope! They stayed in touch with me every step of the way and was very professional. They went over every single detail of what they found and what they fixed and I couldn’t have been more at peace with my decision in choosing them! Trust is hard to come by these days especially when it involves our means of transportation but when I tell you these people restored my faith in a matter of seconds I mean it. Their loyalty to the customers goes beyond measures! I would recommend avoiding this location if possible. The ETA was off by over 3 weeks. I had to extend payment on a rental car as a result. Everyday I called for an update to be told Christina would call me and update me. I was never called back. This exchange went on everyday for 3 weeks. Today I was told my car would be ready by 1pm. I showed up at 1 and they asked who told you it was ready? Turns out its not ready. Very poor service. My time and money have been wasted and I have been shown a lot of disrespect.
My SUV was delivered back to me as brand new and they topped their great service with car wash and detailed. Thank you Gerber Collision for A+ professionalism.

I had what I was pretty sure was just a cosmetic issue on my car a couple months ago, and AAA brought my car here.I was quoted $6,500 worth of repairs, and when I clearly stated that I just needed the car to be safe to drive and looks didnt matter, they insisted that these repairs were necessary and the car would be unsafe to drive without them.I decided to take my car somewhere else, and the second garage found the problem to be so trivial they charged me $0 to resolve it, and I havent had any issues since after two months of driving, including two long road trips.This garage had no problem attempting to rip me off in the midst of a pandemic. Fortunately they only wasted a little bit of my time and not a huge sum of money. Completely ridiculous and unprofessional; dont use this company.
I had my car fixed here. One of my headlights was damaged so it was replaced. When I received my car back the headlights did not match. I returned my car because I was not happy with the way my headlights no longer matched. They polished and cleaned the other headlight to match the new one. Thank you for making it right. Great job

A manager promptly contacted me regarding an issue with my insurance company, and took the time to explain the process and answer all my questions. He has also taken the time to give me daily updates, which has been much appreciated. Although the insurance company, as most, requires the use of used parts whenever possible, Gerber negotiated to get original manufacturer parts at a price acceptable to the insurance company. I am highly pleased with this, as I had concerns regarding the integrity of salvaged parts. The initial estimate called for a rim to be repaired, but they were actually able get approval to replace it.The extra effort to alleviate my concern and successfully negotiate for better parts is something I’m sure not all repair shops would do. I haven’t picked up my car yet, and it seems it may be completed earlier than expected, but I am looking forward to seeing the work that was done and getting back on the road.

I had some repair work done through my Insurance company. It was Ana amazing process from beginning to end. I can not speak enough about it. Everything was spectacular. I can not brag enough about the CSR in the front Leslie. She made me feel like a old friend from the moment I walked in not like a hassle. She is the backbone of that office in my eyes. I will be back if needed.
Timely and friendly. They do good work. However, I am STILL waiting for them to call about a part for my car and its been almost 2 months. But they are decent.

Gerber in Hammond did an outstanding and fast job of replacing the front end of my car, a performance vehicle that I baby more than some parents do for their kids. Brought my car in because someone backed into me and smashed up the front end of my car. Gerber was immediately helpful and on top of everything. They stayed in touch with me throughout the process and even got my car back to me three days sooner than originally predicted. Will definitely continue using them for future needs. Though fingers crossed I wont actually need a collision center again!
Little late posting. A couple months back husband had to bring his car to replace bumper from accident at work. Very quick and amazing customer service. When I went to pick up the car: a guy from the back helped me load up my daughters and belongings in the car.However, grill recently came off car for no reason so I’ll have to contact them about warranty but with our last experience I believe all will be well!

Had my car service for collision work and a window repair. This is my second time bringing a vehicle here for collision repair. ALL staff were very polite, professional, and knowledgeable. I received (text and phone calls) updates almost daily on the progress of my repair. My car was ready in the time frame estimated. It was returned washed and vacuumed! I also received information about the warranty, parts, and how to care for my vehicle repairs. Great job, Gerber!!
Great place to get repairs done. Very thorough, very nice, and goes out of their way to help you in anyway they can. My wife’s car was repaired there the insurance tried to charge an extra day for the rental, Garber called the insurance for her and had it covered. They let her know every step of the Way, on the progress that was being made.👍🏻
Please do not take your vehicles to this place, I’ve heard it was a great place to take your vehicles... I was sadly mistaken.. My truck has been in the shop for a month and a half, and everyday I call they tell me parts, there’s no way it takes a month an a half for parts... plus I’m renting a vehicle with my own money, so I’m in need of my vehicle... They telling my insurance company it’s only a light and bulb, but when I call they tell me several parts.. please I mean please DO NOT take your vehicle here.. I’m so frustrated!!!!!!!
Took my 2008 Ford Ranger in for an estimate. This was on 6/2/15. Did not hear anything from Champs and on 6/5/15 I called and was told by the receptionist that Paul AKA Paul Ugalde would call me between 2:00 pm and 3:00 pm. Waited by the phone number 7:00 pm no call. On 6/8/15 I called Champs again, and was told Paul would call me. No call. On 6/10/15 I went to Champs and finally after much foolishness, including telling me Paul was doing another estimate then changing the story to he was sick, they called him at home. I was then told my truck was a total loss. I was not offered an estimate, detailed list of the damage or anything. On 6/11/15 I called my insurance and asked if I could have a second opinion. That was fine with them. I went to Champs again and was told the truck was no longer drivable. The employees were surly and seemed to take pleasure in making it as hard as possible. Finally, I demanded to see the truck and was told I can drive back to the Total Loss area. I was not given the key to my truck. Back at the total loss, I found the truck had been disassembled and the parts thrown in the bed of the truck. I went to the front as asked that they assemble the truck. Again, one of the employees was surly and sarcastic toward me. They wanted to know why I wanted to know Pauls full name. Finally one of them gave me a card with his name on it. I called my insurance company and filing a complaint asking them to remove Champs from their lists of repair shops. About two hours later, Paul called by cellular telephone but I did not answer as I knew whatever he said it would be a lie. Called Champs on 6/12/15 to speak to the manager to release the vehicle to the storage lot. They said he was out to lunch and he would call me when he returned. No calls. As you can see, nothing they said was true. I did not want to give them even one star.
You would think the third time fixing my BRZ would be the charm, but youd be wrong . the first time there was trash or air in the clear coat, and a small chip in the paint under the clear. Also there are two protective strips, one on back bumper and one under the door, that they didnt install. So I brought it back, when called to get it again, they didnt even fix the paint chip, and the clear was messed up under the strip on the door, and showed him the handle that had been scraped while there that he said he would repair. So they called me back to pick it up again. Even after asking them if something specific was fixed and showing up to find it wasnt. I just gave up after all was said and done. The inside panel was left unattached, there was yet another bubble in the clear coat, the over spray on the bumper that I had asked was removed, was still there. On top of that, my painted handle was scraped up. I was told that they would fix it when I turned it in the third time. And the protective strip on the bottom side of the door was removed to fix the messed up paint and reapplied very sloppily. I can live with the many imperfections they left. My experience may be different than yours, but I would suggest a thorough inspection after you receive your vehicle to be sure. If they would just slow down a little, I think they could do some good work, but it just seems they are worried about quantity and not quality. They only offer the lifetime warranty for those who actually care about how their vehicle looks. They dont even come out to inspect your vehicle when you go to get it. Just drive it around and hand you keys.

DO NOT BRING YOUR CAR HERE! We brought my car here on Monday. The girl at the front desk told us that they couldnt look at the car right away which was understandable. We filled out a form and she told us that they will do an estimate on the damages of the car at 9AM the following day. The entire time she had an attitude with us. All we needed was an estimate. The next day we called them 3 times throughout the day. We spoke to the girl at the front desk and each time she would tell us they havent looked at it yet, theyre about to look at it, or theyre getting to it now. Finally on Day 3, weve decided to go there in person to check if theyve completed the estimate. The girl at the front desk once again said they have not. We told them that we thought our appointment was at 9am the previous day. She told us that she never scheduled an appointment for us because we dropped it off only for an estimate. At that moment we took our car and left to Southern Collision where they took a look at our car right away and scheduled an actual appointment with us. Our biggest problem was the lack of customer service that the girl at the front desk showed us. Im sure the rest of the staff are friendly (we wouldnt know because no one came to talk to us) but this girl did not treat us with respect and that is not ok. Also it should not take over 2 days for an estimate.

First class staff and repair. Champs kept me up to date on my repairs from day one through the entire repair process. The repair was excellent and I will definitley not visit another collision repair shop in Baton Rouge.
Do NOT bring your vehicale here. My car was with them for OVER a month and the date for it to be fixed kept getting pushed back over and over again. I get my car back and its still messed up and the transmission fluid is leaking. My headlights are uneven. Its a nightmare. One of the WORST SERVICE EXPERIENCES OF MY LIFE.
Absolutely terrible. They kept my truck for 6 weeks after telling me 4 weeks. Picked up my truck after the six weeks and one of the doors they replaced was not sealed and there was a bad leak on a window they replaced. Not to mention someone stole my trailer hitch off my truck. I then had to leave my truck with them again. My truck is an F-250 and the rental they gave me was a Prius. I couldnt be more unhappy with Gerber.

It took 4 weeks longer than they said it would take, I wasnt updated at all, and I have things on my itemized receipt that have not been touched on my 2500HD sierra, and it sounds like my window is down while Im going down the road. The work that WAS performed on my vehicle looks great. $7,500 For a few thousand worth of damage. Of course thats the things on the itemized that was NOT touched on my truck. So glad the guy that hit me had geico. Thanks geico and no worries, Im handling it.
The last week in June, I took my Ford Explorer in to get looked over and order parts from an accident in which I was sideswiped on the driver side. Less than a week later, I came out of work to my car having been hit by a box truck in the rear which damaged the driver side tail light, rear bumper, and the liftgate. I took my car back to order more parts (around July 6th). Both times I asked for a customer pay estimate for the front end from weather damage and they shrugged it off saying they would take care of it when I brought my car in to have the work done. I was told originally they would be able to start work on my car on July 20th given the parts were in. The parts came in pretty quick (around the 15th) and I was told they could start it on the 27th. They finally do the customer pay estimate which I get on the 31st and file an insurance claim for because there was more damage than I originally thought. I made a call Thursday August 6th to see if they had an estimated time for it to be finished. I was told it would probably be ready at the end of the following week but they would give me a call by Tuesday and let me know. The following Thursday (Aug 13) (after NOT receiving a call) I called again and was told my car would be finished by the end of the next day if not that afternoon. The next morning (Friday) I called again. I was then told that my car would not be ready until the following Monday at the earliest because they were still waiting on a part to come in. At 4:45 that (still Friday) afternoon I get a call that my car is ready. It turns out that something wasnt put together properly and when they started it, coolant leaked everywhere so they had to rebuild the front end. My boyfriend took me to pick it up and he looks at it while I go in to pay because its 5 minutes before closing. He comes in to tell me there is still a large dent on the driver door. When I asked about it they said it wasnt on any of the (3) insurance claims so they, and I quote, didnt know if they should call me and ask about it. Im working with insurance now to get it taken care of, but more than likely wont take my car back to Gerber. I wasnt impressed with the work they did. The color blending on my difficult-to-match red car was done well, but there was a chip on the rear bumper from the tools they used to attach it which is just sloppy on their part. Moral of the story, absolutely TERRIBLE communication in all aspects and they stay busy so the work is very rushed. I dont doubt they have skilled employees, I just think they are very rushed to get as many cars done as quickly as possible. I was reccomended there by someone who knew it as Champs Collision, so maybe more has changed than just the name?

I have a Mercedes Benz AMG that i purchased brand new for a few month, got in a wrecked. so my insurance company recommended Champs and i brought it there to get fixed, got it back with broken windshield and paint does not match, door wasnt fixed right. have to go back more than 10 times to get it done right, but it was never done right. so dissappointed, and the broken pc inside my car was never replaced, have been told that they will call me once they get the part, but i have to be the one to call them all the time, and after a year, i still havent heard anything from them. i will go ahead and ordered it my self to get it fix, but i will never give them my business again. customer service is ok, they will say stuff like we will get it fix and ok on everything you tell them, but it will never happen. BEWARE..
