I am 72..disabled Vet. I live in Deep Run,NC.. I own a Spartan 54in. cut mower.. I purchased it July,2018 from H&H Farm Supply in Pink Hill,NC,, Three of my friends like mine so much,, they also purchased them one.. I service mine each year,, time to sharpen the blades.. No problem so fare,, runs and cuts GREAT.. Thank you Robert and your team for a job well done.. Very well design...NO BETTER

Purchased this mower last month and its a big upgrade over my previous unit I had for 4 years. Better cut, faster speed and higher blade tip speed. This unit is only 6 wider than my previous unit, but shaved 15 minutes off the mowing time. A simple build, easy parts available, and great accessories. This is a base model 48 Spartan RZ, sports 25hp, and handles hills better than my previous brand.

Im love my SPARTAN MOWER. Ive had no trouble with it. Had it over a year now with over 200 hrs.. Solid mower people. Sold the SCAG mower because the SPARTAN is a better mower hands down. THANK YOU SPARTAN!!!

Spartan is a great company ran by even better people. Their commitment to the product, but also the the community, is unlike any youll find. They arent perfect as far as never having any issues, but they stand behind their product and are committed to making it the best mower!

THE COMPANY HAS NO CUSTOMER SERVICE OR TECHNICAL SUPPORT. YOU CAN ONLY TALK TO THE OPERATOR. I BOUGHT A HD MOWER AND WANTED TO UPGRADE TO THE FLOTATION SEAT. WHEN IT WAS DELIVERED, IT HAD THE ORIGINAL STILL ON IT AND CHARGED ME FULL PRICE FOR THE UPGRADE INSTEAD OF THE DIFFERENCE. I DIDNT MIND SWAPPING THEM OUT, BUT WHAT AM I TO DO WITH THE NEW ORIGINAL ONE. DEALER DENIED TAKING IT BACK OR EVEN LETTING ME SWAP IT TOWARD A CANOPY. A CALL TO THE FACTORY SIMPLY TOLD ME TO CONTACT DEALER. GOOD MOWER. NO CUSTOMER SERVICE FROM SPARTAN.

Do not! I repeat!!! Do not purchase this mower!!! I’m 20 hrs in and it’s already in the shop! So mad I didn’t look at the reviews. If the shop is able to resolve the issues I will upgrade the stars. Cut quality is TERRIBLE! Strugglers galore! Brake system fails and consistently needs adjusting. My mower is also pulling to the left. The scape wheels are stuck and does not spin properly.Stay clear away! Scag, Hustler, Gravely, Snapper is the way to go!

Horrible company, worst customer service. I paid over $10k for one of their mowers and twice already they have refused to help. Mark Martin seat is garbage. They have “redesigned” what should have been recalled. Contacted McClain trailers in Houston and zero luck with them. They take your money and run with it. Please do your research and go with a better quality machine.

I have owned my spartan mower a year. I wouldn’t recommend this mower to any commercial guys. This mower has been in the shop 4 times before it even reached 75hrs. Everything from failing keypads to deck not staying in the position you set it. To leaky gas tanks The dealership support has been absolutely awful. I went in to drop off the mower for warranty work and was told I couldn’t even get an oil change for 6to7 weeks. This is completely unacceptable considering this is a brand new $8,000 mower.If your a commercial guy i would stay away from these mowers and stick with the better brands hustler scag Or exmark. The unreliability of these mowers is just inexcusable and don’t see these mower lasting Very long.

Tried to buy one several times. Couldnt buy it. Dealers selling for $4000. But they cant ship it due to restrictive distribution contract with Spartan. Called Spartan up, they recommended a local dealer in another state next to mine. That dealer wanted $1000 more for the same mower with same specs. Not really happy about that. Its a mower, not a car. Stop with this dealer network non-sense.

I purchased a Spartan mower in 2018. I had engine problems for two years and Spartan would not do anything. Brad in customer service told me it wasnt their problem, it was a Kohler problem. So if I buy a Ford truck with a Powerstroke engine and I have engine problems, its Internationals problem? Spartan could take some customer service tips from their dealers and Kohler. The dealer and Kohler took care of the issue. I like the mower and now that the problem has been fixed, I am fine with the mower. If your looking for customer service, dont expect much from Spartan unless you want a bunch of excuses. Hopefully, you will have a dealer like I do who places customer service first.

Had an RT Pro 61 cut for three years now. I have had more trouble with this mower than I had with a 20 year old Cub.There is no customer service, and the store I bought it from had absolutely no idea about the machine. When it is working it mows great. Latest replacement part is a $225.00 Control Console. What next?? Will not buy again.

No support. I wish I had not purchased a Spartan. They have a keypad entry to start the mower. The keypad is unreliable. I now have a $5000+ piece of Yard Art

Ive had my 54 RZ HD for about a year now and has been mechanical trouble free and always starts. The cut is ok, but can leave uncut grass in the center of the deck if youre going to fast ( so you can only cut about half speed) and the deck will drop if you hit a bump, causing scalped spots in your lawn.

Ive had 7 zero turn mowers, and this Spartan mower is the best on the market!!! 61 of pure BEAST! I would recommend this mower to anyone wanting to mow and not touch a bolt! Bought this at the beginning of this mowing season and still looks like carpet .Thanks Spartan for designing something Ive been looking for.

Have 20 hours on my 2019 srt and no problems. The ride is great, Briggs great power. There are 2 concerns. 1st, the seat is very uncomfortable with no arm rests. The 2nd main one one is talking to someone who can answer anything. You call the web site and they say ask your dealer. The dealer doesnt know anything. They just sell them. You would think if Spartan really cared about their customers they would have a phone number to talk for support. After seeing how the owner says that he really care, well Im bery disappointed. I should of stayed with Hustler mowers.

Was looking at them but dont own one. From all the negative comments I believe I will steer clear of these mowers. And another thing, if you purchase a product, please give time to use it THEN give a review, a two week review is good for nothing.

The mower so far is a beast but in my yard which is rough causes the deck adjustment to lose adjustment . If you have it set to 4 and the deck bounces or you go over something that bottoms the deck out it will work its way down to 1 if you dont stop and adjust it back . Its been back to the dealer to have it adjusted but after looking around im positive its a design flaw that ill have to deal with one way or another . 10k is a lot of money to spend on a mower that isnt quiet up to par in every area . (UPDATE) I just received a call from my dealer which ill say has been great to deal with letting me know that spartan read this and contacted him . Spartan has made a pin system that will fix my issue and they are sending him one to install on my mower . !!!!!!THANK YOU SPARTAN !!!!!!!

Purchased SRT 61in HD about a year ago. Love the mower. Called Spartan with a question about blade replacement. Would not connect me with technical support. Not rude but not very helpful. For a new company I expected more. Said to call the dealership.

Only 2 stars. The more I mow with this machine the more things I find that are inconvenient. None of the seats come with arm rests. The plastics hang so far over the side causing blind spots on rear tires. Mowing on inclines you feel like youre falling off the damn thing. Ride is not near as smooth as they say. I would not buy another one.Burns gas twice as much as my Hustler did.

I love this mower. I got the RZHD 61 and it has been amazing so far. Its made like an army tank. I mowed 3 acres today that normally took me 2 hours on an Exmark in 1 hour. The after clean up with the removable floor plate and belt and pulley covers is a great addition. Ive used several different types of mowers and this is by far my favorite and the best in my book. The ONLY thing I would do different next time is get the Vanguard motor. The Briggs and Stratton, however, is a great little motor. I will be a forever Spartan mower user.

I keep losing the knob that holds my pulley covers found all but one I tightened them as tight as I can by hand what does one coast to replace just got mower back for flooding problems and it runs great now thank you spartman for the quick fix time Dillard in ashflat did a great job helping me get mower to batesville

I have had a Spartan SRT XD 61 for 2 years. This is by far the best handling mower on the market. It is a beast on hills, tall grass, even does good in the rain. The only thing I can pick at is cut quality compared to a exmark or a Scag. It is not quite at that level yet. But, only a pro would notice. Another thing is the tires grip really well, sometimes too good, so, be careful when turning.

My customer service experience when calling Spartan just a few days ago-Customer- Hello, I just plunged almost 9k on a 2018 Mark Martin and was wondering if you have an Oil Guard System that I can purchase for this model.Lady on the phone- Sorry sir, you have to call the dealer for that question.Customer- Couldnt you at least tell me if it is available for my units 32HP Vanguard engine?Lady- Again, you need to call the dealer as I can not answer that question.I called the dealer- I have no info from Spartan on the oil guard system for Vanguard engine except they have it on their top line model.What a horrible way to start my customer experience on my first ZTR. And I picked Spartan based on the warm and candid personality I saw on Roberts (Owner) youtube video when I was researching ZTR options. Horrible, horrible! I wonder if I made the right decision.UPDATE- Received a response from a company rep that made me whole again, so I updated the post to 4 stars.Reply received from corporate: Im so sorry you did not have a great first experience with our customer service. I assure you that is not the norm. To answer your question, the Oil Guard cannot be added to an existing engine. The oil route is plumbed differently when using the Oil Guard and has to be done at the Vanguard factory. Please feel free to contact me directly if there is anything else I can do for you.

I bought this mower in early September of last year this year mowing season iv already put a new deck new speadles. And the blades were duel took to the dealer to have all of this done. Just brought the mower home after all the work was done.scattered to mow with it done the thing as before pulled the blades off and they were duel as heck sharping the blades done fine after that.Im not satisfied with this product at all its a lot of money with no satistion

I had a terrible experience with the purchase of my Spartan mower. and i have had several problems with the machine. Would not purchase another. Customer service was horrible at Mowbility in Pella. After the 3 time with several problems with the machine the dealer said they didnt have a repair man. So pretty much sorry about your luck. I got upset and called the Corporation and they just blew me off. They dont stand behind there products. The VP of Mowbility came and seen all the problems I was having with it and to it to be repaired. Still the Corporation didnt care that my mower was not running and had several other issues. The mower is now just over 1 year in service and still dont start every time. The gas drains from the filter and acts as if its out of gas but is not. Im so very disappointed with this product and the Corporation. Please be careful not to get stuck with a mower made by this company. All they are concerned with is that the get your money.

This is our second ztr mower. Today we purchased the RTPro 61, brought home and mowed several yards in very little time, along with a great cut. Very nice ride, by far a great mower.

I sell Spartan mowers in ladson sc and my customers are very happy with the mowers not 1 that we have sold has come back and they say they will never buy any other brand great job guys and its American product.

Ive had my mower 5 months and it done great but 12/24/2018 I got my mower out of shed to use and it doesnt have maybe 15 hrs on it and its blowing oil of crank case vent that hooks to carburetor and hope factory an waiting on manufacturer to call me back.
