I’m very impressed by my experience with Christian Brothers in Barrington. We called with a problem with our air conditioning on a very hot day. They were able to get us in for an appointment the day we called. They were very polite, not at all pushy, and were very patient with us in explaining the issue with our air conditioning. Johnny, the service manager at Christian Brothers, explained what the issue was and what caused the problem. We were going to wait but they offered us a ride home and we took them up on their offer. They fixed the problem that day! Another thing I was impressed was the waiting room. It was very clean and so was where the mechanics work on your car. When the car was done they delivered the car to our house. First class!!

I found Christian Brothers through a friend. I had accidentally ran over a curb and my car was making horrible noises. When I called for an appointment they originally said I would have to wait until the next day. However, when I explained what happened and said I was worried about driving the car, they said to come right over. When I got there they actually met me in the parking lot and held the door for me to enter their waiting room. They were really nice and I think genuinely concerned for me and my car. While I waited they had their mechanic inspect the car. It only took 30 minutes. They invited me into the shop and showed me exactly what was wrong with my car. I have never seen the underside of a car so it was pretty cool, despite the fact I was embarrassed for hitting a curb. They put together a quote for what it would cost to repair my car and explained it to me. I don’t have a lot of money so I told them I would think about it and left. They were not pushy at all - In fact it’s was the opposite. They encouraged me to take my time thank think it over. I called a couple of other places and sent them the estimate from Christian Brothers. The other places prices were no better so I decided to go back to Christian Brothers to have the work done a week later. I just decided to show up there in my way home from work one day and when I got there they remembered my name! I couldn’t believe it! They gave me a ride home and did the repairs the next day. So fast!! When the car was ready they came and picked me up (I live about 15 minutes away in Palatine). This place is first class, honest and so nice. I totally recommend to anyone.

Our car is currently in the shop, so maybe this is premature, but I feel very confident we will be back on the road and in great shape when our car is ready. Everything about the shop itself, the lobby, the attention to detail and amazing customer service has made us feel as if we are being taken care of. Our mechanic Julius was awesome and took a short ride with us in order to assess the issues we were having. Both Rob and Johnny took great care of everything and helped us to relax as we are currently traveling and will have a long trip back home that we were nervous about seeing as we had a few issues with the front tires. They even offered to give us a ride back to where we were staying while our car is being worked on. All in all the customer service was impeccable and the pricing seemed fair for the parts and labor involved. We are not from this area and would do anything to have a shop like this near by, so for those who do live in the area, there is no question where you should have your car worked on the next time you are in a pinch.

Courteous, prompt, great communication, they supply a courtesy shuttle for nearby customers, and they have the best warranty for work performed (36k Miles or 36 Months, whichever comes LAST). Upon request, CB performed a full examination of the vehicle at no charge. Just over 111,000 miles on my Honda Element, and as I already knew, there was LOTS of suspension repair work required, as well as multiple Preventative Maintenance items to be performed. I priced out all of the work at two other local mechanics, and CB had the best price for all suspension work and an oil change. The best part was that my Out The Door cost was LESS than originally estimated! To top it off, the work was completed as schedule, and they provided shuttle service to and from my home. HIGHLY recommended!

Very nice facility and I believe the price I paid for the service rendered was very reasonable. This will be our new go-to automotive repair shop moving forward.

This was one of the best car repair experiences I’ve ever had. The shop was immaculate, I could book my appointment online, they sent me photos of the work that needed to be done, I could pay my bill on the phone, and they even dropped my car off when it was done! I’ll never go to the dealership ever again. Johnnie was exceptional and made sure I was updated throughout the entire process. Highly recommended.

I’m not from IL and was unsure where to get my window fixed. They were able to get my car in right away that morning. They also brought me back to where I’m staying so I wouldn’t have to wait while they fixed the car and they paid for a Lyft to bring me back. Everyone I spoke to and dealt with there were very friendly. I will definitely recommend them.

I was very impressed with the professionalism and communication from CB Automotive. My Silverado did not start and had to be towed. I called CB automotive and they arranged to have a flatbed come and pick up my truck that night. The following morning they promptly called me and told me that my truck needed a new starter and was still under the factory warranty and that they would bring it to a Chevy dealership of my choice at no cost to me. CB automotive has the best customer service I have ever seen. They are honest and go above and beyond for their customers. I will recommend then to all my friends and family.

They are extremely nice and friendly. They were very detailed and honest about the repairs needed and the repairs that could wait. The repairs were well done. They dropped me off and and picked me up. And, the waiting room is very nice with power outlets. It was an excellent experience. I will always bring my cars here !

Check engine light came on so I took it there to get it fixed and an oil change. got the car back and instantly the check engine light came back on. took it back and they replaced pressure sensor and purge valve. got the car back again and there was damage on the cars paint. talked with the owner and he said to take the car down to the body shop A&L and he would take care of the damage. Before I had a chance to take the car to the body shop the check engine light came on again so I returned the car to CB. I was going on a trip, Rob Gilland the owner said that they would have everything fixed by the time I returned. The car was not ready when I returned from my trip (10 days). When I finally picked up the car they did not fix the damage and refused to acknowledge it even though they put it on the invoice to be repaired. Once I picked up my car I immediately filled a police report and will be pursuing other actions. I originally took the car there 4/23/21 finally got my car back for the 3rd time 6/24/21. they had my car for basically 2 months, replaced parts that didnt need to be replaced and damaged my car and refused to fix it!! Talked with the corporate office and they said there was nothing they could do because this is a franchise location and its individually owned by Rob they could only advise Rob to do the right thing which he didnt!!

I’m so glad I found this place. My friends dad recommended them and they are great. They gave me on online report on my car with pictures! They didn’t pressure me at all - in fact it was the opposite. They were so patient and nice.

Rob and Johnny are awesome. My car was having problems and of course is out of warranty. Christian Brothers mechanics identified my car’s problem right away. They knew this was a common issue so instead of charging me to fix it, they called the dealer and negotiated with them and got it fixed for FREE. They even took my car there and picked it up so I wouldn’t have to. What other place would do that? These guys are so honest and nice. I will be telling all my friends to go there.

They are absolutely awesome!!! They are WAY better than any other place I’ve been to. There was no sales pressure and they were honest about what needed to be repaired and what could wait. They even dropped off my car after it was fixed and didn’t even charge for it. I will definitely come back.

I cant say enough good things about Christian Brothers. We have been there twice and Johnny and Kathryn have been awesome - great communication! (which is something we have never before gotten at an auto repair place). The second time we were there they were even able to fix something the dealer couldnt. I recommend them to all my friends.

It was my alternator that went out at 8 pm after work and the car wouldnt budge after that. Even though my old mechanic was not too far and Firestone was down the street I had my road side service take me 17 miles to Christian Brothers instead because they are good at what they do, friendly, honest, and professional. They were done sooner than expected without any scare tactics or dishonest up selling. Cant wait to go back.

They attracted me with an oil change special and they were very pleasant to work with. They did an inspection of my vehicle and found a couple of things that needed attention. However, there was no pressure put on me to do any work and they were honest about what should be done sooner and what was recommended or could wait. I cant say enough great things about my first experience at Christian Brothers. While my husband was out of town, I had a flat tire. I called Christian Brothers and Johnny made it a priority to fit me in before the weekend. When arriving, the environment was clean and welcoming. The owner offered me a shuttle ride back home, so I could continue working while they evaluated my car. They called and informed me I just needed to replace two tire values, a quick and inexpensive fix. Im so grateful for their honesty and clear communication, they could have easily replaced my tires since they were already ordered to the shop. *OUTSTANDING* Have had several thousand dollars worth of major repairs done here in the last few months, a big portion of which was covered by warranty. The combination of the quality of the work along with their willingness to advocate for me during the process of getting the repairs covered by the warranty company will bring me back here again. Dealing with repair shops can be treacherous, especially when there isn’t much of an option to shop around when you’re stuck. I will say that at no point did I ever feel like I was mislead (or was I ever actually mislead). To the contrary Johnny’s bedside manner with me was the best I’ve ever gotten anywhere. He was honest, and willing to do what had to be done to help. Can’t say enough good things about him. The owner Rob is first rate as well.

This is a newer shop and was new to me before this service. Service with a smile and respect for your hard earned money. They quickly identified my cars problem and repaired it in short order. There was an underlying problem that became apparent to me after and they within 24hrs had that corrected. My German car now drives like it should again. I say German car so that readers of this understand that this shop has the technical ability to repair all makes and models.

I appreciate having an appointed time and not going through a first come first service method. My wheel alignment was done within their estimated time frame and followed up by a road test. Having the mechanic who worked on my car actually explain to me what he did is something rarely done in the auto service industry. I was referred to Christian Brothers by a friend which in itself tells you something. The facility is modern, clean and tidy. The people are awesomely friendly and trustworthy. They fixed up our 2008 Silverado with the need to dos and advised what can wait until next time. Everything fully explained with pluses and potentially minus decision choices. Even fixed a broken antenna with an Amazon work around.

From the first call I made to schedule an appointment for my car to picking it up after the work was finished, a feeling of satisfaction was apparent. They fixed what I knew needed to be done, then performed an inspection and found a couple of other items that needed to be addressed. They kept me informed of their activities via text and email. We just bought a used car for our daughter and wanted a mechanic to check it over. Christian Brothers did an evaluation for free, recommended changing the oil and air filters, and let us know the brake pads will need to be replaced in a year or so. We felt they were honest and charged a fair rate. We will definitely use them again.

Christian Brothers Auto was recommended to me by a teacher colleague, and far exceeded my expectations! From the time I walked through the door, I was greeted with a smile and the most personable hospitality! Rob the owner, offered me beverages and a snack, and brought me the most delicious baked chocolate chip cookies served on a plate while I waited. Ryan, the manager gave my car a very thorough safety inspection and proceeded to sit down with me and talk me through everything so I fully understood. He even showed me a video, since I am not that versed in cars. Their honesty, sincerity, and care and so genuine, like nothing I’ve ever experienced with a mechanic before. The facility is clean and inviting with kids toys and coloring books laid out. For anyone who is a teacher, they do offer a 15% discount as well. I left their shop with a warm and fuzzy feeling. It was just a superb experience all around! In addition, they have a drop off service that is offered, where they will take you to work or a local coffee shop while your car is being repaired. I was recommended by a friend and I was not disappointed. This is not your average car auto shop. From the moment I walked in it felt like I mattered as a customer. They Took the time to make sure that I was able to ask any questions and share my concerns before they took care of the car. It was so nice to sit there and actually watch the car being done through the glass windows while I drink coffee and had a treat in leather couches. How can you beat that? It was a clean enough space to bring my little one who can play on the floor with the toys they had. They were very thorough and even made an almost medical write up of my car which I was able to access online anytime I want!! Everything I dreaded about going to get my car fixed was gone. I trust them. They did a great job. They offered to take me anywhere while I waited, and they provided a enjoyable atmosphere. This is by far the best experience I’ve ever had and I will be back.

Highly recommended!! Dealt with Johnny and the team here for the first time this past week on a charger. It was an excellent experience. It cost substantially less than the prior estimates I had received, and they identified a large portion of the labor/parts that was covered by a manufacturer warranty. I was at a dodge dealership for a full inspection a week prior that “somehow” managed to misdiagnose the issue to being both front end wheel bearings. I was quoted $1300 more dollars by the manufacturer/dealership, and the key fix was not even listed on the inspection report they provided, an inspection that entailed a fee I should add.The CBA team tried to take care of it all by dropping my car off to the dealership for them to handle the warranty work, but the dealer let us all down with a two week delay receiving in the part. As you can probably tell by now, I am no longer trusting dealerships. I will have a hard time going anywhere else in the future other than this fine establishment where customer satisfaction is a clear primary goal.

My car stalled and we brought it in to this location. The staff discovered the problem quickly and unfortunately required a new engine. The manager, Ryan, searched around for the best price and got us a great deal. Him and his team replaced our old engine within a few days and the car has been running great. I highly recommend this location and will be going back for all of our car needs in the future.

I decided to try taking my Car to a repair shop other than my dealer as they wanted to charge an excessive amount for a simple repair. Found Christian Brothers in Barrington from a friend recommendation and was extremely impressed at the shop. Very clean and the staff was very friendly and professional. The prices were very reasonable and the work was done in a timely manner. I highly recommend this place and will take all my cars here from now on. My exhaust separated on my way home from work and my car was extremely loud. I remembered a new shop had opened a few blocks from my home and I decided to try them. They were so professional, honest, informative, and completely thorough. They got my car in right away and honestly fixed the issue without adding extra thing’s on. The waiting area was comfortable, clean, calming, and I really felt that I was in the right place and in excellent hands. I am very happy and relieved to have an automotive shop that I can trust!
