We drove back to this store specifically to shop and they’re not open. According to their website, hours on Thursday 10 am for opening. We waited until 11:00…still not open. A lady is inside but doors are locked. Not one sign posted explaining their closure. Disappointed customer.
The guy in the store seems to be ethnically challenged. He was not helpful at all. We bought items worth more than $100. The store doesn’t scan items instead they punch the items manually. The receipt doesn’t tell you what items were bought. We questioned him on couple of items and he got frustrated . He left the counter with our bags and asked us in a very rude tone/manner to check the bag. We asked for a refund and left. We saw him talking nicely to some white customers. Maybe he is not comfortable having customers of different ethnicities.
It’s a nice store actually too bad the hours are wrong and you’re unable to find out the hours. Seems to be a problem among many stores in this area I’m not sure why you’d think they’d want the tourist money. Oh well I guess.
Dont buy anything from this place, spent a pretty penny on a bracelet and pendent for my fiancee only for the bracelet to break the next day. The owner seemed like an okay guy but its frustrating to spend money on garbage. However the guy was nice enough to offer a refund with a return of the bracelet.
We always love to visit Bar Harbor and this time was no exception. We find the locals are always friendly if you extend courtesy back. We added to our souvenirs and gifts for our grown children and grand kids as well. With end of year clearance, prices were superb.
Merchandise may have been good. But unfortunately, I wasnt able to even look at it. The men who was working at the jewelry section was so rude, that I walked out of the store right the way.
This is a great tourist shop, we all know them. If you have been on a cruise or traveled to an airport it the touristshop you can get anything here that says Bar Harbor. Nice shop nice selection too. Tshirts sweatshirts magnets hats puzzles toys and and so much more at this tourist paradise. Definitely a must stop to see.
I was recently on vacation in Maine and I heard alot about bar harbor a must go to destination, so I took my 2 adult daughters and my 2 grandbabies one 2 1/2, and my 15 month old both in strollers to the area fell upon this store ventured in they had a really good selection of goods with end if season clearance prices bonus. The woman who checked me out was so rude didnt even smile after spending my hard earned money on her goods you think she would thank you and say have a nice day. Store owner needs to talk to their employees and remind them if it wasnt for tourists they would be closed for business.all in all love my trinkets.
Great selection for souvenirs and good prices too. I loved their silver jewelry selection and bought a few for myself. It was good priced.
Usually good deals.
I got kicked out for walking in with a cup of ice cream (I’m an adult) but felt the selection and prices for Maine-themed T-shirts were pretty good. I paid $8 a shirt when I was allowed back in.
Incredibly rude to my 80 year old parents. Just terrible. Wish I could give zero stars.
A nice store for reasonably priced trinkets and bar harbor memorabilia.
Best prices in town and a large selection of items
