Good Afternoon, I had the opportunity to visit your Bangor store while I was on vacation. I was looking for unique items for my Childcare center in Massachusetts. I reached out to your assistant manager Chrissy and she was wonderful. Her knowledge of your store was impeccable. I was looking for something specific and you didnt carry it however, she engaged me into something else to buy that made the same impression of what I was looking to do in my Childcare program. Being a Business owner for 30 years and during these precedent time and having employees of my own, we all are face with the same concerns of finding good help. Love this store but the aisles are a bit tight to get down. Makes it difficult to get by other people when they stop to look at some thing.

A fun place to shop all kinds of stuff some unusual!Right next door to the Dollar Tree all spiffed up well lit and very clean and organised, we always shop here first before stopping anywhere else at this small mall!

Unfortunately, I didnt get the name of the lady at the cash register, she was very fast and extremly nice! I was always refusing the offered membership, but because of her, I get enrolled 🙂 She needs to be a role model! And should be rewarded!OSJL, find her and reward her, do something nice for these people who are working these positions with a smile in these hard times!

Great place & wicked good deals on spices and coffee

The prices are very good. The cashiers are friendly. So are the floor personnel. But I have yet to meet a friendly courtesy counter person.

Today i purchased 2 large patio chairs from Ocean State in Bangor. They were too heavy for me to get into the cart and into my car. One of the store associates helped me with this and other items i had bought. He was very kind, friendly and helpful. I did not get his name but an excellent ambassador for the company

I like the crazy deals, everything else is just okay, some items are hit or miss, I buy soap and Bobs red mill with my crazy deals money.

Had what I wanted in the sales ad. The cashiers were in no hurry to get to there registers but otherwise what youd expect from a salvage type store.

Some stuff here is really good quality at a really good price but other stuff is cheap into expensive. If you have the time to browse the store youll most likely find something you like

The staff have been very courteous during all of the approximately fifteen times Ive purchased various items there.

In the history od discount shopping, OSJB is a favorite of my ex who loved to spend money but had no money to spend.

Disappointed with the layout but they had some amazing quality stuff for cheap. Art section has a lot of stuff for beginners. Absolutely loved what they have.

I didnt like the covid tax .

I always love going to this store! But I just went and picked up some pool floats and stuff and the cashier was TEXTING the whole time she was ringing my mom and myself out. Was not impressed at all, she didnt even attempt to hide what she was doing. Horrible customer service on the cashiers end. But the store is always a must see, and amazing bargains. I would rate 5 stars but Im too frusturated.

It carrys a large selection of gluten free and milk free. products. Its where I get most of those products. I love it for that reason. They have other great deals too

Ocean state use to be a good place to shop when I was a kid now its very hit or miss. Store could definitely use a cleaning! On the upside, staff are very kind and helpful.

I always thought of it as a junk store but surprisingly it actually has a lot of great items.. often at rediculously cheap prices. Often better than mardens..

This us one of the most eclectic stores in the area. It doesnt have the same flavor as Mardens but it works to come close. The shelves are generally disorganized with the kook id a recent tornado, but the prices make up fit the lack if attention. There are bargains to be had. Just watch the brands. The company has a penchant for tossing in cheap Chinese made goods at lowball prices. Buy one if those and hope it lasts long enough to get it back to your car. Not good enough for 5 stars but not 3 because the staff is very pleasant and they are very willing to help you find something

I always love to go in and wander. I find things I dont really need but its at a great price so I dont mind getting them. Great place to get almost anything you might need throughout the seasons.

They sell some European food. Non GMO and organic, too. Original italian pasta, Maine sea food canned, olive and grape seed oil, etc. It is a good store if you are looking for something a little more different than a conventional grocery store can offer. Sometimes they have brand name clothes. School supply priced lower.. you got the point. Go check them out!

The whole place is very meh. Its not really organized well, the employees dont really seem to care about speed, and the prices arent amazing enough to justify these lapses. Its like a more expensive dollar store, I guess.
